With your Life ahead of You
Introduction... Though blood may be thicker than water, it is our paths which define us. In a world where life can change from peace to chaos like the time goes from night to day, the Clan has long learned to live its life in a world of danger. In fact, we thrive in it.
But even the strongest among us have their limits, and it will be our very home that will soon test just how far we can be pushed without breaking. We might have adapted to the dangers and the cold. Yet the one thing we couldn't prepare for was the threat from our own. And it will be this threat which will either raise us from the dark, or bring us into the shadows. It will be up to you as to which side of the line you find yourself on when the world turns to chaos around you.
Rules...1. Forum Rules. The non negotiable rule, any and all rules which are enforced by the forums are to be followed whilst on this thread. 2. Literacy. Unless you feel capable of achieving a minimum of 5 lines per character per post as a minimum literacy requirement, my apologies but this isn't the clan for you. 3. Plagiarism. Every time I have to write this I hate it all the more, but apparently it is still necessary. Do not steal anything on this thread which is not yours, and doing so will result in being reported. 4. Joining. Many thanks for taking the time to glance at this little clan of mine, and should you wish to join, I first have a couple of requests. Firstly, that on initial joining you do so with a minimum of two characters, one of each gender as to help balance out numbers, there is no character limit but please take on only as many as you can regularly roleplay with. For every two cats of other ranks you create, you may have one apprentice, and for every three cats you make, please allow one to be a dark cat for plot purposes. Furthermore, I ask that you don't join as cats who are or who have backgrounds in kittypets, rogues or loners. So I know you have read my rules, please include Ancient Paths to the other part of your form. 5. Characters and Realism. Of course our subject matter are not among the most realistic, I do expect that you maintain a degree of realism when roleplaying. I.e. no cats with wings, strange abilities or bright pink furs, nor named with things that cats in this place wouldn't know of and try to make sure they fit into the world explained in the about the clan section. Furthermore, bare in mind the nature in which your characters live, cats die, get ill and become injured, and whilst I wont ask you to kill of characters left and right every ten minutes, please on occasion include these things in your roleplay. 6. Activity. Please try to be on a minimum of three days a week for those joining as characters not entirely key to the clan, and for those who wish to join as cats key to our plot or the clan, please be on at least 5 days a week. 7. Bloodlines. An additional rule which I find helps add to the depth of a clan, I ask that where your cats share traits with the character of another member, you request if they can be related in some way. Whilst its not compulsory, do ask that you don’t join as your own family. 8. Drama. Whilst it often breaks my heart into a million pieces, drama is one of my favourite aspects of roleplaying and hence I encourage to make as much of it as you would like! All I ask is that you involve as many members as you can and don't let it directly conflict with our main plot. Otherwise, have fun!

And infinite paths to choose from
About the Clan... Due to the hilly terrain in which we settle, a degree of athleticism is necessary amongst LochClan, otherwise traversing its difficult nature would be a difficult task for most of us, hence strength and stamina are essential features to the average clan cat. Furthermore, as to help with keeping out the cold winds and heavy rainfall which often plagues our home, it is necessary to carry thick coats. LochClan are known for their thickset frames and hardy nature, the result of having long adapted to our difficult territory. In addition to help blend in with the greys, browns and greens of our homes, lighter colours aren't common amongst our clan, and more often than not we are coloured with darker shades of browns, reds, blacks and greys as to accommodate ourselves with the territory. Having endured the weather and terrain of our homes for so long, the clan has become a hardy group. Never the type to admit pain or suffering in front of others even their most loved ones. The isolated nature of our homes mean that our ties bind us tight, and we are loyal to those around us but not especially accepting of newcomers or differences to the norm.
Territory...Making its home on the slopes surrounding an inlet of the ocean, it is dotted with small woodlands and copses, but otherwise is mostly set on moorland and grasslands, with a small marsh bordering the eastern side of the great body of water. As such, the majority of our prey comes either in the form of water dwelling creatures, such as fish, toads and frogs, or the rabbits and hares living on the moors around us. Birds of prey frequent our homes as well, for those brave enough to tackle the creatures. Weather here tends to be rainy and cold, leaving the turf underfoot uneven, dangerously so.
Ancient Paths. Carved through much of our landscape are paths so worn into our territory, it is clear they have been hear even before the existence of our clan. On these paths, the spirits of our ancestors are often most seen, even those no one recognises anymore.
Bared Fangs. The entrance to one of the tunnels within the territory which has formed in such a manner that it looks like a cat baring its fangs and hence this is where it gets its name.
Forbidden Ridge. Forbidden for all except for under very specific circumstances and under careful watch, this ridge is known for being especially unstable. Near impossible to cross without the terrain falling appart underfoot and sending one plummeting down the steep cliff side, likely to their death.
Moonlit Stone. Inside the Painted Cave, one can find the Moonlit Stone, which is the clan's access point with StarClan, and is a simple rock formation, but very meaningful to the clan.
Painted Caves. Deep within the tunnels beside the loch, one can find a large cave, which opens up and when lit through the hole in the ceiling. It becomes apparent that its walls are marked with strange pictures, that have no meaning to our cats, but are interesting enough. Within this cave, is the Moonlit Stone.
Red Summit. A place where the long grass grows thin to reveal a sandy hill, its turf dark red in colour as though stained with blood. It is believed to be a sacred place, but where one can most often find the darker spirits in our home.
Sunlight Trough. A dip between two of the larger peaks of the hills around us, which lines up with the sun as it rises, shining a beam into the territory until it rises over the peaks beside it.
The Loch. From which the clan gains its name, it is the great body of rather grey water centring itself on at the foot of the hills which make up most of our home. It is far too deep to consider swimming across, and rather cold.
Warren Cliffside. One of the more dangerous parts of the territory and not for the reason most think, the ground is home to a warren, making much of it hollow, so when it rains it is dangerous to walk on for fear of causing a landslide.
Camp...
Making its home on one of few flat places within the territory, the camp is set on the eastern side of the loch hills. In a sandy area not dissimilar to the red summit but less terrifying in shade. A small brook runs through its centre leading to the loch, and it is well sheltered by a number of trees which encircle the camp, keeping it hidden and safe. Leader's Den. Settled in the hollow of one of the larger trees, its entrance has natural growing ivy covering it, providing a well sheltered den, though the cold does tend to hit it rather hard during leafbare. Medicine Cat's Den. This den can be found under the camp as opposed to on it, ensuring the cats are kept quarantined during times of illness, it is a cave accessed through a tunnel, and is hence the best sheltered. Warrior's Den. It is situated beside the nursery, where a handful of logs have been leant against the warrior's den and its entrance is carefully covered with ivy and moss to keep it warm and safe. Apprentice's Den. Cats training to become warriors of LochClan make their nests inside a large unrooted tree, the leaves long having been lost, but providing a fun climbing frame for the cats during down time. Nursery. LochClan kits spend the majority of their time inside a great rock formation hollow on the inside, it was formed during a landslide, and has been here so long it has eroded to create a den for the queens and their kits. Elder's Den. Any cat who has retired from service from the clan spend their peaceful moons in arguably the comfiest den within camp. It is in a tree stump, covered entirely on the inside by moss.

If you let the stars guide your paws,
Traditions... From the outside, most would consider LochClan to be the normal Clan, but its beliefs and systems differ from most. Spirits and ghosts take part in most of our day to day lives. They can be seen in most every part of our territory, though camp is a more unusual viewing point. They are there to guide our cats, and are simply apparitions from StarClan, and they are by no means permanently on the territory. They are usually a good sign, and take on the appearance of an ordinary cat, but if one looks close enough to the pelts of one of these cats, it becomes apparent that something isn't the same. Namely that the stars can be seen speckled in their furs. Normally it is cats known to the recipient who appear, but not necessarily. It wouldn't be unheard of for ghosts no one recognises to appear within our homes, and they give guidance and advice, or simple conversation to the cats they appear to. Usually, it is regarded as a good sign for a young apprentice or soon to be new mother to see a ghost or spirit, believing it to be a sign of good fortunes to come. But there are times during which this is not a good sign, for not only cats of StarClan are capable of appearing within our homes. There are times when cats dark of fur, the stars seen only in their eyes or very faintly, and this is a sign to get as far away as possible from the cat as one can. It is nearly always a sign of bad times to come, for these are dark forest cats. Old clan members that committed such crimes even StarClan wouldn't welcome them. Bathing the Dead. During the unfortunate times when a cat has fallen, it is an essential part of their transition to starclan for the closest members of their family and friends to bath them in the loch before burial on the shores. Some believe this to be the difference between a cat getting into starclan or being banished to the dark forest, so many see it as essential. Traversing the Ancient Paths: for an apprentice, be it medicine cat or warrior to graduate and earn their full name, they must first be able to traverse the territory using these paths alone and must show they know them like the back of their paws. It is believed to be an important part of our history, and the failure to do so will result in the delaying of a cat's ceremony. Welcoming Kits. A baptism of sorts by twoleg terms, and again viewed as important for ones eventual transition to starclan. Three nights after the birth of a new litter, the kits are brought to the part of the loch opposite to the bathing of the dead part, and the kits are bathed and welcomed as full members of the clan.
History... LochClan's history is not a happy one, for it came into the hills aside the loch during a time where the world wanted to see it destroyed. Rogues had chased the original members from their homes, and they had spent moons and lost many cats in a desperate attempt to find a new place, which would turn out to be the hills beside the loch we now call ours. Not many cats would be able to survive the hostile nature of this place, but we have adapted to survive here, and likely wouldn't prosper as well elsewhere anymore.

No matter how far from home you go,
Leader...Hemlockstar, Massive and intimidating, once this tom's good nature saved him from being a tom to be worried of, but a broken heart has since left him a shell of his former self. Carrying a thick coat of primarily dark brown and white, he is splashed with gingery brown patches of colour predominantly on his haunches, chest and paws, with light brown stripes all down his back and body. His eyes are lit with a rich blue colour. Once he was a kind and open tom, good humoured but willing to do what was necessary for his clan, and with a level head and calm nature which made him a prime candidate for leader. But he has recently lost more than any cat ever deserves to lose, and whilst he is still a good leader, he barely talks anymore, and largely keeps himself to himself, even around his mate and remaining family. @velveteenwolf
Deputy...Wildsky, Wildsky is a large pixie bobcat. Wildsky is a massive tom, much like his leader, standing tall with wide-set shoulders. His dense silver, gray, and brown tabby fur makes him look even bigger. As a pixie bobcat, he has a bobbed-tail that is about half the length of a normal cat's tail. He has traditional lynx tufts on his ears and his paws are just as massive as the rest of his body. However imposing his body may make him seem, his beautiful gray-green eyes wipe that away. They display how friendly he is and how much he truly cares for every cat in his clan. Though he does plan on being leader and is quite ambitious, he's never had any malicious plans to get that rank. He worked harder than every other cat in the clan, which is how he became deputy, and plans on becoming leader only after Hemlockstar dies of, hopefully, natural causes. Wildsky however sweet he is, has a tendency to snap at cats once he gets frustrated and has a short line of patience with apprentices. ⭐ 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍-𝖖𝖚𝖊𝖊𝖓
Medicine Cat...
Drizzlefall, Drizzlefall is a beautiful dark silvery blue she-cat, her coat tinged with a lighter grey all throughout her coat in an distinguishable pattern of light stripes throughout. She has thick, soft fur and pointed ears, dark grey eyes and a little grey nose. Drizzlefall is remarkably small for her age, as a fully grown cat she hardly looks any bigger than a newly made apprentice. It's a bit worrisome, but the she-cat has learned to deal with it for her whole life. Drizzlefall is always on edge, because she's constantly expecting for others to criticize her. It was not her dream to become the medicine cat, but while on her way to becoming a warrior she simply continued to fail and fail. Time and time again she lacked the strength to battle, the conviction to kill another living creature to hunt, and the attention span to learn during her teachings. So, the Ancestors decided for her that Drizzlefall would be set to the path of becoming a medicine cat, a position she has despised for almost all her life. Thankfully, the she-cat learned to grow out of her hatred, and has done a rather good job of being the clan's dedicated healer. However, there are still those that question her abilities. A secret about this she-cat is that she has never actually received a message from their Ancestors... She has lied to the Clan before about receiving their message, in fear that if she did not lie that she wouldn't be allowed to be the medicine cat. She has not told anyone this, but bears a lot of guilt for it. Tekoa Medicine Cat Apprentice...

There will always be a home for you at the loch.
Warriors...Cedarwhisp, A marbled tabby with golden accents and dark brown stripes. Her eyes are a lively green, with a striking blue hue around the irises. A dusting of white lines her muzzle, matched with white paws and a cascading stripe down her chest that swirls into her underbelly. She's a well-rounded warrior with an ironclad set of morals. Good natured and easily captivated, this she-cat would lay her life down for the ones she loves. Cedarwhisp isn't good at reading situations and tends to have some lapses of judgement. Patient when it comes to catching her prey, she is impatient when it comes to other cats and can jump in over her head. Occasionally disturbed by nightmares, this she-cat tends to keep to herself in fear of becoming a bad omen. These dreams consist of collapsing caverns and being crushed to death, which some cats would call a warning from Starclan of her future demise. Cedarwhisp believes the dreams are triggered by mild claustrophobia, and nothing more. A nagging image in the back of her mind, she is secretly scared that these dreams are true. Tekoa
Foxlunge, Foxlunge as a name that suits her; If seen from afar, it'd be easy to mix her up with a fox. Her pelt is a bright, ginger-russet color. She has black socks and a black tail tip. Her chest is white chest, underbelly, and muzzle. She has a slender stature, but she's muscular all the same. Her fur is thick and fluffy, keeping her warm in even the coldest of moons. Foxlunge is a brooding she-cat, one who is strict and not often light-hearted. Foxlunge is a fighter; Often quick to jump into battle despite the consequences. But she does so because she knows she's good at it. Foxlunge has quite an ego, and isn't afraid to brag. However, she isn't the best hunter and it seems as though most of her apprentice training as spent doing battle moves. She is fairly introverted, and quite hard headed. It's hard to make friends with her, but she is extremely loyal to those she is close with. plagυe docтor
Haresky, Haresky is an elderly solid tan tom with a curly pelt reminiscent of a rabbit's. His pelt is thick and fluffy, but underneath, he has a small frame - something very apparent in wet weather. He has several scars around his pelt, and is missing his right eye. His remaining eye is golden-brown. Haresky is honest and hardworking, and prefers to follow rather than lead. He constantly doubts his skill and/or self-worth, and often considers retiring or simply running away. However, he is very kind and gentle with kits, and gives good advice. Sparkly
Hollyshadow, Hollyshadow is a large, yet slim and sleek she-cat with a lovely dark brown classic tabby pelt. She has glittering blue eyes, which are large, and almond-shaped. She has a long scar running down the right side of her head and neck. Hollyshadow is a confident and quite pushy she-cat, with a flair for dramatics. She can be very manipulative, and knows exactly how to lie, steal, and pull a cat's strings to get what she wants. However, when caught, she can easily act innocent. She has a soft spot for kits and weak she-cats, as she, too, was once weak, and sympathises with she-cats who were stuck with kits or mates when they wanted power. She likes kits as they remind her that not everything in life is bad or needs power to gain - maybe, one day, when her power is secured, she'll have some of her own. Sparkly
Lightninghawk, Lightninghawk is a ginger tabby tom, which turns into a cream color near his paws and underbelly. He has dark green eyes. Lightninghawk is a quick tom, but he is fairly muscular from his recent apprentice training and traversing his territory every day to build his muscles. But he's always preferred to run, and has great stamina to do so. His body is very slender and agile. To add to this, he has tall legs as well. Lightninghawk is a playful cat, always trying to avoid conflict and serious conversations. He knows when to not joke around, but he much prefers to have lighthearted conversations than anything else. He's extremely friendly and approachable, and is easy to talk to. This can annoy others sometimes, especially the more serious warriors, but he's oblivious to it. It's hard for him to read others, and this can sometimes get him in trouble, especially with strangers with ill intentions. plagυe docтor
Snowspots, Snowspots is a beautiful, long furred she-cat with leopard type markings across her coat, however she is not the typical color of a leopard. She instead has snowy white fur, with the spots across her pelt being a dark grayish black; making her look like a snow leopard. She has a long bushy tail with black rings, and a black tip, and a big fluffy white chest. She has dainty paws, and a build built much more for running and hunting than it is fighting. Snowspots has grey eyes, and a little pink nose. This she-cat is always trying to stay on the positive side of things. She is a natural born mother, always inclined to pick up people's messes and make them smile. She puts the feelings of others above her own, which makes her selfless, but can also lead to her ignoring her own emotions. After the loss of her kits, Snowspots dropped into a deep depression, but she forced herself to pull out of it for the sake of her clan. She can not stand to see others in pain, so if that means stomaching her own grief, than she'll try her best. kanti
Sparkstorm, Sparkstorm is a sleek, short furred tom with a coat as gold as sand, several black spots scatter throughout his coat, making his appearance look a lot like his name. He has very large, pointed ears and dark yellow eyes. He has a white muzzle and chest, and the cream color dips into his underbelly. Sparkstorm is a very lithe, slender tom, his build made much for running long distances than it is for fighting. But, his temper and the way he carries himself would lead one to think different. Sparkstorm has a LOT of anger issues. He has absolutely no patience, and no filter. He seems to just be like a raging ball of anger, constantly finding reason to be angry at someone, or something, even if the world around him is going great. You could pay this tom a compliment and he would somehow find a way to say that you're bad mouthing him. Needless to say. he's not the friendliest cat... But he is a loyal warrior, and he fights with a tenacity that is equal to none. He is extremely protective of his siblings, the only 2 people in the world that he cares about. Sparkstorm has gotten in a lot of trouble in the past because of how brashly he runs into things, and even starting fights with his clan-mates that end in scars. Even though he looks like a gust of wind could carry him away, do not doubt the cats strength, seriously, or he'll show you how wrong you are. kanti
Spiderdusk, A solid black tom with mottled patches of orange on his chest and muzzle. Long legged, with a narrow chest and an average Lochclan height, Spiderdusk lives up to his prefix. He's levelheaded and easy going, uncommonly unperturbed for a warrior of his age. Some would even call him an old soul. Despite his positive qualities, this tom bares just as many insecurities. Sensitive with an easily bruised ego, Spiderdusk is a handful to deal with. Things easily can get into his head, so the tom needs constant deflation. Being a recently appointed warrior, he's still trying to figure out his role in clan life. Tekoa
Stormchaser, Handsome and muscular, this young tom carries storms in his fur and thunder in his head, cocky but playful and good natured. He is as flirtatious as they come but his charm and wit help him from the trouble he otherwise might get himself into, but could be considered immature in this respect. His fur could be mistaken for being pitch black, but is splotched with markings of dark grey, which is where this young cat gains his name. He carries a more slender frame than most, meaning that he is quicker than would be considered normal for a tom of his clan, but can mean he is outmatched on that battlefield. @velveteenwolf
Sweetrose, Sweetrose is a tall, beautiful, long-hair oriental she-cat with a tortoiseshell pelt, but don't let her looks and name fool you. Her build is lithe and narrow, which might lend a helping paw to tricking cats inside and out of the clan into thinking she isn't much of a threat. However, she most definitely is. Her claws and bite are lethal and her tongue is even more so; this cat's bark is definitely stronger than her bite, though she is a very skilled warrior. She isn't overly friendly to the cats in her clan though she does care for everyone. She would do anything to protect her clan. Oddly enough, she is a big romantic and has fun when flirting with any cat, though she's truly only interested in she-cats. She's worried that if she comes out to the clan she'll face judgement, especially from her family. Only a few people know about how she feels. ⭐ 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍-𝖖𝖚𝖊𝖊𝖓
Violetshadow, Whilst carrying the characteristic height for her clan, she is more slender than she is muscular, but is deceptively strong due to being an apt climber. She is a calico, being mostly black in colour, but splotched with markings of orange and white over her face, underbelly and haunches. Mos notably with a large patch over her left eye, both eyes are lit with a dark amber brown. Violetshadow is a cat who is hard to read even to those considered to be her friends. Gifted with a silver tongue, she is talented when it comes to manipulating from the shadows, and planting seeds in te minds of others without them even knowing, she isnt cold. But knows what she wants and is willing to go to lengths to attain it. @velveteenwolf
Wolftumble, Wolftumble is a large-framed, broad beast of a she-cat, being a head taller than the average tomcat. Her fur is semi-long and slightly wavy with small curls on the longer ends. She often forgets to groom, leaving small bits of twigs, leaves and flowers tangled in her gray coat. She has tufted ears, a bushy tail, and dark gray classic tabby markings. Her eyes are steely blue and she has a square-ish muzzle. Despite her intimidating size, Wolftumble is a gentle giant and usually has good intentions. She tries to be kind and positive towards everyone, but doesn't hold back if you push her too far. She can be a bit anxious, and has some difficulty trusting people because of abandonment issues. Wolftumble isn't an entirely social cat, and prefers to socialize with one or two cats a time or else she might get overwhelmed and her anxiety takes over. ⁻ ⁻ ☾ ᵇˡᵘᵉ ᵐᵒᵒᶰ
Apprentices...Rillepaw, Rillepaw is a lean, lanky white tomcat with gray patches across his coat and across his face. He has sharp features and an angular face shape, complete with almond-shaped sapphire blue eyes. His fur is short and thin, which keeps him cool during warm moons but he also gets easily cold during the chillier times. Rillepaw is a reserved tomcat, and usually doesn't talk much. The time others spend talking, he would rather spend observing and listening. He is very intelligent and eloquent when speaking, and chooses his words carefully. That being said, he isn't much of a social cat, and would often prefer to be alone. He is usually kind, and tries to be polite, but doesn't really like to get into other cats business. Socially, Rillepaw lacks the ability to sense most social cues and metaphors and often replies literally to them. ⁻ ⁻ ☾ ᵇˡᵘᵉ ᵐᵒᵒᶰ
Oakpaw, Oakpaw is a handsome, sleek and short furred tom with a stunning coat pattern. His base color is a soft caramel brown, and layered atop it are large leopard like spots that are black. Looking at him from afar is sort of an eyesore because of how puzzling his coat looks. He has a slender, long tail with several black rings around it, a white muzzle, and warm amber eyes. Oakpaw is a little scardy cat, he acts an awful lot like a kit because of his overwhelming paranoia of anything and everything bad happening. His imagination has a tendency to run wild, which isn't the best when you're as afraid as him. There are positives to this though, it makes Oakpaw a very rational thinker, it makes him collected and not at all impulsive. He is typically more shy than out-going, but he's not exactly introverted. He is a follower by nature, doing pretty much whatever someone else says as long as they're bigger and stronger than he is. Oakpaw is orderly, and never shows up late to training, and always follows orders. He is a skilled hunter, but an atrocious fighter. kanti
Tawnypaw, Tawnypaw is a young, dark brown she-cat, with black markings in the form of a black dorsal stripe, underbelly, chest, paws, tailtip, chin, eye dots, and inner ear fur. She has dark green eyes, which are large and sparkling. Her fur is long around her neck, where her legs join her body, the base of her tail, and the base of her ears, but is otherwise short. Tawnypaw has a youthful excited innocence about her, and is very excitable and energetic. She is indiscriminately kind, and is too friendly for her own good. Whilst not exactly stupid, Tawnypaw definitely leans more towards street smarts in terms of intelligence, leaving activities such as hunting and fighting with a lot to be desired. Sparkly

But do be careful where you tread,
Queens...Thunderblossom, Beautiful and slender, this young shecat is set on a small frame with sleek but feathered fur, cloaked in a pelt of midnight black with no deviation in colour except for her eyes, which are a dark blueish green. She has an affinity for keeping herself to the shadows and out of the limelight, aided by the darkness of her coat which makes her apt at remaining hidden until she wants others to know she is there, but also makes her a sharp listener. Whilst kind, this shecat is especially timid and not the best when it comes to social situations, however, she has a sweet nature and a good heart, just most don't get the chance to see it. Thunderblossom is a fairly new warrior, and surprised much of the clan when she revealed that she was to bare a litter. @velveteenwolf

StarClan Cats...
Morningstar, The leader who first lead the original members into the loch and helped to establish the clan known today. He was a tall dark golden tabby tom, an especially thick layer of fur around his neck earned him the warrior name of Morninglion, and in many aspects he had the heart of a lion as well as the appearance of one. Muscular and tall, his fur is a dark golden, striped white down the underbelly and at each of his paws, with dark blue coloured eyes. He was a level headed and proud tom, determination was one of his key characteristics and he would have done anything for his clan. As demonstrated in how he finally lost his ninth life, diving into the loch after a drowning apprentice. @velveteenwolf
Cherrykit, Whilst small compared to the majority of LochClan, this little shecat had the personality to make up for it. Sweet, charming and mischevious, she was playful and kind, loving to learn and find out. She was the daughter of Hemlockstar, but died at two moons old during an especially harsh leafbare. The runt of her litter, she was always weaker than her siblings, which lead to her untimely death. Small and swift, she was coated in a dark brown tabby pelt, much like her father's striped with white and darker brown colours, and dark chestnut brown eyes. @velveteenwolf
Dark Forest Cats..
Brokenash, Massive and cruel, the memory of this tom is surrounded by tales of pain and fear until the clan finally managed to bring him down. He was the deputy a few generations following the death of Morningstar, and attempted to kill his own leader as to take on the role himself. He is a thick coated, primarily black coloured tom, save for a single splash of white across his chest, and speckling the backs of his ears. He gains his name from the kink in his long black tail, a feature he was born with. Manipulative and charming, he is gifted with a silver tongue which makes him very dangerous. @velveteenwolf
Ashensky, A pale grey she-cat with dark rosetted tabby markings and a white ringed tail. Marked with unique heterochromic eyes, one yellow and the other green, and a single cowlick of white in her chest fur. Often accused of being a bad omen for her odd eyes, Ashensky grew up brash and defensive. With a spiteful attitude and cruel perspective, Ashensky is a cat with a rotten core. With the carefully constructed facade of a quiet and respectable warrior, Ashensky paraded as a loyal and model warrior. This is why most of her clanmates were shocked when her allegiance proved to be by Brokenash's side. Furious with his death, she went on a rampage spurred by vengeance and bloodlust. This left a trail of red through the clan, with Hemlockstar's beloved Cherrykit among the casualties. (?) Often seen by Brokenash's side in the dreams of cats drawn to the dark forest, Ashensky appears as a greyish shadow bearing two different colored eyes; enticing tragedy wherever she steps paw. Tekoa

For you can never be sure just who follows.
Plotlines... In a world where the mystical often mixes with the mundane, a clan set in the dangerous landscape such as our own, the extraordinary is rarely out of place here. However, in recent times, the Clan has been through much heartbreak and pain, it would seem that even StarClan has no pity nor no mercy as to just whom they are willing to take from us. Heartbreak has left our leader but a shell of the tom he once was, whilst he continues to lead us just as well as beforehand. The joy in his life and the love for his clan has gone, some even going as far to say that he has lost his faith in StarClan. Rumours spread of cats seeing him no longer around the spirits of starclan, but the darker cats the clan have long learned to fear and stay away from. Some fear that their leader may be turning to something far darker than the Clan have ever known. But with no solid evidence, no one dare speak up for fear of breaking their leader even more than before. Until a cat is found dead at the foot of the Forbidden Ridge, and witnesses claim that the last cat who spoke to the victim was Hemlockstar, and claims are made of him being the one to kill the fallen cat. Unable to provide evidence otherwise, and being known to have had a disliking for the cat found dead, the clan believe it is time to demote Hemlockstar from his position, and replace him with the deputy. Some even ask that the leader either be exiled, or stripped of his nine lives and sent to the dark forest. Whilst the truth remains unknown and the once proud leader is imprisoned within his own camp and left in a half starved state. The clan comes under new leadership, but the deputy's intentions turn out to be darker than anyone realised. For he was an opportunist, and now the clan is his far earlier than he believed, the clan will be thrown into darkness, and even StarClan remain silent in the wake of our destruction. Leader. Hemlockstar- - - LochClan Camp; Open; @tags
As morning light broke through LochClan camp, its mighty leader was nowhere to be found, it was not an especially uncommon sight. Of recent the young leader had been spending as little time within camp as possible. To the point of working himself off his paws so that when he inevitably had to return to the camp, he would collapse into his nest and fall asleep until early morning. When he would wake up and find something to keep himself busy outside of camp once again. It had become almost ritualistic to the massive tom. For the place he had known as home for so long, was something he now only saw as a place of pain and heartbreak. Where ghosts of a happier life continued to linger, and they were something he didn't want to see. But now the tom was returning to camp, carrying a hawk hanging from its long wing between his jaws. His feathered tail flicking from side to side as he slipped through the entrance into camp, and dropped the animal onto the fresh kill pile. Making it look notably more appealing than it had when he had left earlier that day. Near immediately the tom began to cast his dark gaze around camp, in search of something to take him away again. His ears twitched towards the den for a brief second, as though contemplating going in search for his mate but thought better of it quickly. Unsure if he could bare seeing her that day, most days he tried to keep himself to himself. But as leader there were times when interaction became inevitable, and it appeared right now he needed someone to accompany him. Patrols needed to be sorted, cats needed to be organised, and as much as he wanted to remain by himself where possible, even the leader was infallible, and for once he sought out interaction as to help him with a patrol.
Stormchaser- - - LochClan Camp; Open; @tags
Looking more like a drowned rat than he did a cat, Stormchaser returned to camp with a trio of fish clamped in his jaws. In spite of his appearance, his trademark grin lit his expression as he dropped the prey onto the fresh kill pile, and shook out his fur in an attempt at drying it at least a little. It appeared rather than waiting patiently on the bank, he had gone swimming in order to catch breakfast, and whilst his decision had been a successful one, it made him looking a little worse for wear. As his dark grey fur was slick to his frame, showing of the muscular frame found underneath his otherwise thick pelt. When realising simply shaking his fur out like a rabid dog wasn't going to be an efficient manner of drying, and the cold breeze spliting through the territory made natural drying an unlike option, with a slight grumble the tom found himself a place to sit, and groom his dark fur of its tangles and knots. Never a fun task, but now it appeared a necessity if he didn't want it to only get progressively worse.
Violetstorm - - - LochClan Camp; Open; @tags
The delicate calico awoke in not an especially good mood, her tail flicking back and forth as she woke to the sound of gossiping amongst younger warriors, who were quickly silenced as she let out an ill tempered hiss for them to shut up. The pretty shecat had spent most of the night patrolling, and hadn't returned to camp until infuriatingly late, and as a result she found herself both aching and tired from an uncomfortable sleep. Certain that her nest had been littered with thorns or something of that ilk by some ridiculous apprentice, she lifted herself to her paws and stretched out. Soon realising that she wouldn't be able to return to sleep until night had fallen again, so she decided at least to try and make herself productive for once. Spending a moment to sift through her nest, her slender paws digging through the nest and making quite the mess but seeming not to care. In search for a thorn or something which might have given her reason for such a poor night sleep, and grumbling to herself when she was unable to find anything. She left the den with a lash of her tail, blinking her eyes lazily from the sleep, ignoring the stinging of her eyes as she stepped into the bright light of late morning in camp. She cast her gaze around camp, noting with a degree of surprise when she noticed the leader returning to camp, but couldn't be bothered to call out a greeting to the tom. Instead finding herself somewhere warm to settle and groom her calico fur for a little while, until someone sought her out for a patrol or hunt.

{ H-H-Hemlockstar is so handsome... ;w; Is that really going to be my mate I'm so lucky!
Sorry I poofed! made characters at another place, still thinking of one's for here! See, my biggest hang up is making Hemlockstar's mate... I'm trying to think of characters that would have a good dynamic with him, and I'm thinking like a very cheery, young, adventurous spirit? }

ooh, that might work! considering how isolated hemlock has become, her trying to bring him back out of it in spite of her own heartbreak has the potential to be seriously interesting!)

{ Alright! Than she'll be a she-cat always trying to look on the bright side, probably the same age as Hemlockstar, the two of them could have grown up as apprentice's together! It would be really cute if the two of them used to be rivals, because it seemed like Hemlockstar was always one step ahead of her and she really hated that! But then they sort of fell in love with each other, and she misses the more happy, funny tom that she fell in love with. }

Ancient Path
Kanti Warrior Open for family - Mate is Hemlockstar Other
Drizzlefall, Drizzlefall is a beautiful dark silvery blue she-cat, her coat tinged with a lighter grey all throughout her coat in an distinguishable pattern of light stripes throughout. Kanti Medicine Cat Open for family, and a forbidden romance. Other
Oakpaw, Oakpaw is a handsome, sleek and short furred tom with a stunning coat pattern. Kanti Apprentice Open for family and relationships. Other
Sparkstorm,
Sparkstorm is a sleek, short furred tom with a coat as gold as sand, several black spots scatter throughout his coat, making his appearance look a lot like his name. Kanti

Cedarwhisp A marbled tabby with golden accents and dark brown stripes. Tekoa Warrior Stormchaser's mate Ancient Paths
Ashensky A pale grey she-cat with dark rosetted tabby markings and a white ringed tail. Tekoa Open / Brokenash's mate? If not then that's fine haha ^^ Dark forest warrior Ancient Paths(?) = I can change her backstory if you had another cause of death for Cherrykit, I just had a cool backstory in mind haha)) I understand that they are both she-cats, so I'll create a male apprentice if that helps? Does deceased dark forest and warrior count as different ranks?)) Spiderdusk A solid black tom with mottled patches of orange on his chest and muzzle. Tekoa Open Warrior Ancient Paths

(OMSC yes! Both to brokenaspen and cedarstorm, I intended for storm to be homosexual, but I can always make a different character for what i had in mind cos i think they work really well together actually, I love it!!! The intention was that cherrykit died of greencough, but the other two kits were meant to have died, one potentially from drowning. Maybe aspen drowned her and made it look like an accident?)

(its fine as is for now but I'm sorry but I've just realised I'm an idiot today it appears it is preferred that you have two cats of other ranks before having an apprentice. and as the starclan and dark forest cats don't really count towards the membership as its not necessary to constantly be roleplaying them, is that ok? and no worries kant please stop having lives XD)
