❅Maplefrost❅ - Cool it, there's no need to use a passive-agressive tone here. Please reread the announcement I made two weeks ago. Thanks.

Yes, please stop... x.x
Honestly I swear my definition of "getting heated" must be way different to everyone else's because despite some saying they aren't, that's exactly what I'm seeing happen here.

Sorry if I came off as passive aggressive, even if that wasn't my intention. Just sharing my opinion like everyone else, but I understand what you mean. And I'm not trying to come off as "heated" this is just a conversation about fictional cats after all.
On another note, I'm a firm believer of show not tell when it comes to most stories I read. I also have no problem changing my opinion on certain characters over time, especially from different perspectives. Who knows, my opinion can change after CT, and it's not the first it would happen either. I used to actually love and adore Crowfeather, but over time, the worse parts of his character overshadowed his younger better version of himself. Honestly, I just found him much more likable back in the day, and he was my favorite cat among the original group that traveled. But over time, and after new books, and re-reading, my opinion has changed. Opinions can change. I used to like Bramblestar, now I don't, I used to hate Leopardstar, now I don't, I used to adore Ashfur, now I don't, but I do like him as a villain. And so on.
Basically, until CT gives me proof that Nightcloud is some horrible mother or a cat in general, I don't think my opinion will change on her. So I guess in a way it's good that Crowfeather will have the pov this book, even if it might come off as bias, at least the Erins are finally tackling a controversial topic.
That's about it.

I finally read it with a more analytical mindset, instead of just taking it in on an emotional level for its basic plot. And oh boy. I freaking love this. I love this so much. It is a godsend as far as attention to background characters goes. I had a list of background characters who I wanted to get additional info on in this book, and this preview already has nailed quite a few of the specific things I wanted to learn about. This includes: - Acknowledging that Harespring, Furzepelt, and Larkwing were Dark Forest trainees
- Larkwing became a warrior due to courage showed during the Great Battle
- Whiskernose retired early to the elders' den due to injuries suffered during the Great Battle!! Oh my god!! This is exactly what I wanted!!
- Onestar specifically made Harespring deputy in order to send a message about the former DF cats
- Crouchfoot's mentor was Gorsetail!
If the rest of the book continues in this manner, I will be very happy. Now tell me how Weaselfur, Crouchfoot, and Whiskernose die, please.

Onestar saying Breezepelt didnt attack Windclan warriors is a lie by the way. Brezeepelt did attack a Windclan cat durring the battle in TLH.

Well, it's true though, he was going to attack them but didn't have the chance to because of Ivypool.

May as well provide the source on that... I actually remember pointing this out once and always wondered why no one ever addressed it, and which WindClan cat he was going to attack.
