Leopardtail and his apprentice came back from training, Spiderpaw looked beat up and was drenched to the bone. He’d fallen into a rushing river and had to get himself out. Leopardtail watched and told him that warriors don’t need to rely on others. Leopardtail hit his head with his tail, “Go see Peachfeather.” He snapped and the apprentice- without a word - went off to the medicine cat. Leopardtail then went to the pile and snatched up a big fish for himself, he ignored Badgerstripe.

Spiderpaw limped into the medicine den and waited patiently. He sat on a nest and glanced at all the herbs nervously.

(( Sure! Doestep can be Mothpaw's mentor! ))
Doestep purred in amusement to her apprentice. "That was a good first attempt Mothpaw. You almost had that fish!" She mewed happily. "Try spotting the fish in the water first and swimming closer to it. Then you want to swipe with all your might!"
Hidden away in the underbrush near Mistfur, a pair of light green eyes peered curiously at the sleeping Mistfur. This was the perfect time to strike! Krestelpaw barreled out of his hiding place and tackled the sunbathing she-cat with all of his might. "Got ya!" He cheered in delight.

(ight) Mothpaw nodded and waited for another bait fish. She patiently watched and swiped down at it only to miss again. She bit her lip and tried again. Another larger bait fish swam by, she waited until it was right under her. She slashed down at hooked it by he gill. However once out of the water, the fish smacked her with its tail. She dropped it and the fish flopped back into the water.

"Oh my Starclan that was great...", the she-cat stiffed a laugh at her apprentice being hit in the face by a fish. "You were really close that time! That's a good idea to hook it by the gills. Make sure you don't let it fall back into the water!" She offered words of encouragement as her whiskers twitched with amusement.

Mothpaw gave Doestep a fake smile before she looked at the water again. She lifted her paw, wanting to have it ready. Then a very long fish swam bye, she shut her eyes and hooked it. “OH STARCLAN!” She cries as she’d hooked a snake. That was the loudest she’d ever been. She tossed the dead snake to the ground.

Mistfur-
Shaking himself awake when he heard Leopardtail and Spiderpaw coming back into camp, he frowned at Leopardtail's treatment of the soaked apprentice. Poor Spiderpaw looked as though he had taken an unplanned dip into a river. He rose to his feet, stretching briefly before following Spiderpaw into the Medicine Cat's den. 'Are you alright?' He asked, laying his tail comfortingly on the apprentice's shoulder.
Badgerstripe-
Slightly affronted by Leopardtail's passing before her nose without a greeting, she quickly finished her meal and left. Feeling full, she decided to take a quick nap in the Warrior's den before going hunting.

"That was amazing Mothpaw!" Doestep jumped to her paws in amazement at the dead snake next to her paws. "Your technique was very good but next time you should keep your eyes open." She praised her apprentice with a playful swipe at her ears. The she-cat sniffed at the snake, taking a closer look at Mothpaw's catch. "Smokestar will be really happy about this catch!"

Spiderpaw sneezed and shivered, “Y-yeah...just slipped. It was my fault.” He gave a kind smile, he looked so pitiful as he was soaked to the bone with small cuts on his paws.
Leopardtail devoured the fish by a patch of tall grass that hooked over, giving him shade. Unlike his apprentice, he was nice and dry.
Mothpaw nodded though frowned at the thought of her brother, “Yeah, he will.” She remembered then how strangely cold he’d been acting since he became leader, “Does Smokestar seem ok to you? He wasn’t like this...before.” Deep down she wanted to tell Doestep what happened the night Dewstar died but she decided not to drag her into her problems. She stared down at the snake and poked it boredly.

Otterpaw dunked his paw in the water again. He swiped at his mentor's legs again but harder.

( creampaw is the med app so she is oeachfeather’s app. applefall could mentor kestrelpaw but i don’t want to hog them )

“Alright.” Smokestar said as he brushed off more burrs, he nuzzled her cheek before heading off again. Finally he reached the big lake with the abandoned docks. He hid himself in the tall grass as he saw that twoleg girl by the docks. She sat there holding some kind of brush, painting. Smokestar never understood what she did, it was funny looking. Blossomwish ;;
The calico hid with her mate, watching the Twoleg intently. She was using some sort of stick with hair at the end to paint a canvas with some colored water. Blossomwish narrowed her odd eyes, curious. “What do you think she’s doing?” She asked Smokestar, pain forgotten.

Smokestar shook his head, "I have no idea. It looks like mashed up berries, and she uses it to...draw? Twolegs don't scare me, they're more strange than anything." He slowly walked along the edge of the lake, "Come." He said, "She can't see us here."

Spiderpaw limped into the medicine den and waited patiently. He sat on a nest and glanced at all the herbs nervously. Peachfeather ;;
“Is someone there?” Peachfeather called, her head raising from her work. Sighing, the muted ginger cat got up from where she was sitting and hurried towards the entrance of the den, where she kept her nests. She spotted Spiderpaw sitting nervously in one of the nests and she gave him a smile. “Hey, Spiderpaw! What brings you here?”

“I see,” Blossomwish murmured, staring for a little longer before following the large grey tom. The lake was still and pristine, reflecting the sky above. The she-cat has always loved this location and would often come here by herself or with Smokestar. Blossomwish glanced at the sun, checking the time. It was beginning to set, which made her want to quicken their pace and get home soon.

Spiderpaw, still cold and wet, smiled weakly, "I uh...slipped...into the river while training with Leopardtail. I wasn't watching my step." He lifted his cut up paws.

Smokestar traveled along the river with his mate, he noticed the water getting fast with the current. "We're near the Weasel River. Stay close." He warned as he continued. He stopped at one spot to mark it, he then continued along the river. He noticed up ahead was the log that connected their territory with the Deer thicket.

He stopped at one spot to mark it, he then continued along the river. He noticed up ahead was the log that connected their territory with the Deer thicket. Blossomwish ;;
Blossomwish nodded and followed after her mate. She was feeling much better now and was ready to venture towards the Deer Thicket. Her paws felt lighter and her ears were pricked, listening for the sounds of the forest. The rushing of the river was louder than the singing of birds and rustling of animals. The she-cat glanced at the river, watching as the water swirled by.
Peachfeather ;;
The peach-furred cat’s expression went from happy to concerned in a split-second. “Oh my StarClan, are you alright?” The medicine cat examined Spiderpaw thoroughly, checking his pelt for any other scratches he might have received from the river. Then she looked at his paws, noticing how deep a few were. “Creampaw!” Peachfeather called. “I need some marigold and dock leaves. There’s some fresh marigold near my nest in the back.”

Smokestar looked at the log, it seemed steady. He gently stepped onto it, the log didn’t crack or seem to give in with his weight. He looked back at Blossomwish and gestures with his tail for her to follow. He climbed over and hopped onto tall grass covered with dew. The grass here in thicket was darker and thick, with a low mist leveling to their legs.
Spiderpaw nodded, “I’m fine, though, really. This isn’t my first time getting hurt during training.” He said with a weak happy attitude. Though he still frowned as he’d made Peachfeather more worried.

Blossomwish ;;
Blossomwish timidly rested her on the log, testing it. She felt relief wash over her when she saw Smokestar cross easily, so she hopped on. Digging her claws in so she kept balance, Blossomwish went across hurriedly. The calico dropped off next to her mate, wincing a little. Her paw still hurt a little from the thorn.
Peachfeather ;;
“Falling into a river is a big deal,” Peachfeather fretted, amber eyes round. “I’ve done it before; I was sore for days.” She tapped him lightly with her fluffy tail, thinking. “If you’re in a lot of pain later, see me and I’ll give you some poppy seeds. Don’t if you’re planning on being busy for the day, though, they’ll make you drowsy.” The medicine cat then looked around, frowning. “Now where is that apprentice of mine? Creampaw!”

Spiderpaw nodded, he’d been getting hurt more and more often but he didn’t want to burden Peachfeather with pointless wounds. “I’ll be more careful next time.” He said mostly to himself. He looked out the den, he frowned a little at the sight of Leopardtail enjoying a large fish.
Smokestar noticed her wincing, “You should see Peachfeather when we get back.” He said and continued walking. He once again made a path for her, luckily there was only grass that got tangled in his pelt. No burrs nor sticks. He stopped at the sight of a deer, it grazed on a small patch of flowers with its young beside her.

Blossomwish opened her mouth to protest, but fell silent at the sight of the deer. Her eyes grew wide with wonder, watching the mother deer tend to her fawn. They were grazing in a patch of wildflowers, completely oblivious to the two cats. Blossomwish glanced at Smokestar. She wondered if she would ever be like that doe, a mother tending to her young. She still found it hard to believe she had a mate, let alone the leader. She sighed contently and leaned into the smokey grey tom.
