Stagleap caught his breath, a wave of relief washing over him when he saw that his sister was okay. But it didn't take long for his anxiety to return, as he quickly pressed his paw on her shoulder and began to search her for wounds - with a fall like that, she probably broke her bones! Or twisted her ankles! Or got a scratch! And then she'll get an infection, and then get sick and then -he hardly broke away from his rapid thoughts to address her, concern etched onto his face. "Sore? You mean, sore like...you broke your leg, sore? Or sore like, you twisted your ankle, sore? Are you sure you didn't hurt yourself? Are you just trying to make me feel better??" as he spoke, he poked Fawndance in every area that he thought could possibly been wounded. Fawndance examined her right front leg, the one that was feeling the most pain, and she deemed it looking okay. Or, if nothing else, it wasn't broken. "I think I might of just sprained my paw, or something." She mewed, trying to sound relaxed, even though she wasn't. After having so much adrenaline in such a short amount of time, she just wanted to cry and than take a nap. She tried to flex her right paw, and was satisfied to see that it was moving, although a sharp pain made her wince. "I'm really sure it's not broken. I can move it." She confirmed to Stagleap, and herself. Even though she was partially relieved, she did not want to walk back to the camp with her paw hurting so much. Stagleap still wasn't convinced; he knew his sister. She was too nice for her own good, and it probably would lead to her doing something, like, say, lying about how badly hurt her paws were and dying from infection because of it. He squinted at her, doing another once-over, before he finally took a step back, although concern was still written all over his face. "I think we should go home. Hunting was a bad idea." he meowed, feeling guilty that it was his suggestion to go hunting in the first place. He needed to get Fawndance home before she fell out of more trees.

Drizzlenose tilted her head to see Smokefeather so embarrassed, but she didn't think too much into it. "Huh. I guess that's true." She meowed with a shrug. "And I'm pretty good at getting a fair share of prey, so, it doesn't make too much of a difference..." She reasoned. At least with warrior duties, that is. It didn't stop her from feeling embarrassed when around her clanmates, though. He stood up and stretched his back legs, one after the other. "Well, these muscles of mine need exercise." He meowed, casting a glance around the clearing. "I'm sure Poppystar wouldn't mind if I took a patrol out- you want to come?" His bushy tail fluffed itself up as it swept across the ground.

She wobbled around for a few steps, being careful not to touch her paw to the ground, before she finally got her footing. She stared at the ground catching her breath. It was much harder than she expected to walk on three paws. "I think I might need to lean on you. I can't balence well enough to go all the way home." She mewed to Stagleap. This wasn't how she thought her day would be going at that point.

It really wasn't okay, because his mind was going at a million miles per hour thinking about the ways that Fawndance's paw could get an infection or she could get attacked by a fox on the way home, and, unable to run on three paws, get eaten. His ears folded back at the thought of foxes, but he forced himself to straighten them and lower his spiky fur. He didn't Fawndance to get upset; she was already hurt. I shouldn't have let her climb that tree. That squirrel wasn't worth it. he glanced back at the said squirrel, lying in the dust, but he felt it was too late to go and grab it, because he was already next to Fawndance and grabbing it would be awkward.

That squirrel wasn't worth it. he glanced back at the said squirrel, lying in the dust, but he felt it was too late to go and grab it, because he was already next to Fawndance and grabbing it would be awkward. Fawndance smiled, and nodded to Stagleag, as a way of thanking him. She wasn't used to feeling such lasting pain. The sting from a scratch goes away after a minute, but this was staying, and being consistently painful. Fawndance prayed to Starclan that she would get to the camp as quickly as possibile. She starting limping as quickly as she could but she froze. She had forgotten about the squirrel that she had worked so hard to catch! "Stagleap! We gotta get my squirrel!" She squealed whipping her head around, seeing the limp squirrel behind them. Fawndance didn't want to walk more than she had to, so she waited for Stagleap to take initiative and do it for her.

"Oh! The squirrel...of course." Stagleap had hoped that Fawndance would've forgotten about the squirrel. He didn't want to waste any more time than he had to, but he still spent a few minutes standing at staring at Fawndance as though he was waiting for to continue and go grab it, before realizing that she was waiting for him. "Oh." he meowed again, this time embarrassed, as he slowly pulled away and trotted over to the squirrel and grabbing it by its fluffy tail before coming back to Fawndance's side. He nodded his head towards the path, trying to signal that they should get back to camp.

{{ i can't imagine having to deal with that. good luck with the kitty 👻videocassette👻 ! }} raisinsnotspaghettiFawndance smiled and nodded right back at Stagleap, and she began to limp on. She was quite satisfied she had remembered to get the squirrel. Otherwise her injury would of been completely pointless, and it was a quite a large squirrel. At very least she now had something to show for her injury. After hobbling in silence for a few minutes she broke the silence. "Good thing you didn't climb up the tree as well," She mewed, glancing towards Stagleap. If he was the one who fell off the tree, she wouldn't be surprised if he had a heart attack right then in there.

{{ aw, poor cat. I hope everything will be alright. }}
"I knew that climbing that tree would be dangerous!" Stagleap cried, in more of a stressed way than an accusing one. He wasn't mad at Fawndance for falling or for climbing, but he wished he had been more insistent -the squirrel, which was talking around, hadn't been worth his sister getting hurt over. He swung the squirrel over to his back so he could speak more freely. "I'm never climbing a tree again! And you're never climbing a tree again! You could've died! I was so worried!" Stagleap spluttered, unable to stop his words. He hadn't felt so upset two seconds ago, but now that he was saying it, his emotions surged and tears shone in his eyes. He wished he could pick up Fawndance and carry her all the way back to camp and wrap her in a mossy blanket so she'd be safe forever.

He wished he could pick up Fawndance and carry her all the way back to camp and wrap her in a mossy blanket so she'd be safe forever. Fawndance flattened her ears, looking down at the ground shamefully. After all of the dreniline had worn off, she was feeling guilty about what she had done. She should of thought more about Stagleap, and her friends. She didn't even consider how they would feel if she got hurt. Fawndance looked at Stagleap and felt even worse when she saw how distraught he was. I can't believe I did that. This whole trip was a big mistake. She bitterly thought, returning her gaze to the ground in front of her, keeping her head as low as possible. It took a couple steps before she could muster up a response, "I'm sorry." Fawndance kept her voice as steady as she could, but it was beginning to crack. She knew if she said anything more, she would start crying.

Stagleap heard the hint of a crack in Fawndance's voice, but didn't respond to it. He glanced at his paws, blinking until his eyes were dry, before trying to speak again. "You need to be more careful." he meowed, feeling a bit guilty for sounding so bossy, but wanting to make sure his worries were heard. "I...I don't want to lose another sibling, okay? I'd be all alone." He didn't like to mention or think of Honey very often, but now felt like an appropriate time -but just in case he upset his sister further, because he was an expert at being horrible in emotional situations, he gave her a little nuzzle.

raisinsnotspaghettiFawndance sighed, and nodded her head. She could hardly even imangine Stagleap having to be all by himself. It was hard losing one sister, but to lose another would be crushing for him. The idea of being alone without family terrified Fawndance, and she couldn't begin to think about how Stagleap felt about being alone. Fawndance stared at Stagleap for a moment, as of to appreciate that the two were still together, going strong. "I wouldn't let anything seperate," She finally mewed, turning her gaze away from him. "Especially not a tree." Fawndance attempted to joke, so as to brighten up the situation. To spite this stroke of comedic genius, she still felt sad.

{{ yetirasins }} "I should hope not." Stagleap answered, smiling at the joke. Even though her falling out of a tree had scared him, he felt better now that camp was in sight and that she was okay. "I guess you'll have to go the medicine den. I hope Sagegaze is there." He hadn't seen the medicine cat before he had left; he hoped that they weren't out gathering herbs or something. Fawndance needed to see them for her paw -if she didn't get treatment, could she die? Did twisted paws get infections?

Fawndance nodded. "If Sagegaze wasn't in the medicine den, I think i'd be compltely hopeless." She was pretty sure that she knew nothing about herbs, aside from the face that cobwebs can stop bleeding, but even than she wasn't entirely sure. She was also quite sure that Stagleap knew just as little as she did, so he wouldn't be much help at all. In fact, she didn't think anyone in the clan knew to much about medicine. Sagegaze was the only one. Fawndance snapped out of her thoughts when she realized that the camp was in the distance. Letting out a sigh of relief, she started limping a little bit faster. Her paw was hurting, and she no longer wanted to hobble along. "Shall I make my way to the medicine den while you throw the squirrel in the pile?" She asked. It made her feel better to have a bit of a plan. It made everything feel a little bit more stable.

And since you have Sky and I, you don't have to feel pressured to lead it all the time. We can keep an eye on things while you aren't motivated, you know? All that matters is that we're having fun, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that we are. )

Stagleap wasn't so sure about letting Fawndance walk on her own to the medicine den -sure, he knew it was only a few fox -legnthes from the camp entrance, but what if she fell? She could trip and break her nose, or twist her good paw, or trip, fall, and land on a pointy stick that had fallen from a tree and stab herself in the neck and - okay, now you're getting ridiculous. he chided himself, and he unwillingly agreed with Fawndance. "Okay...but I'll come to the medicine den and help you, okay? Make sure that Sagegaze is there." he very carefully stepped away, remaining for a few seconds to make sure that she wouldn't fall, before trekking over to the fresh -kill pile. He casually looked around camp, trying to see who was available to help him and Fawndance if Sagegaze wasn't.

raisinsnotspaghettiFawndance nodded, and started limping towards the medicine cat den. She poked her head into the den, "Sagegaze?" She whispered, her eyes darting back and forth. Much to her despair, the medicine den seemed mostly empty, aside from the nest and herbs. It was void of any medicine cats though. The wounded warrior flattened her ears and plopped herself down into the nest closet to her. She help up her paw, and quickly examined it, to insure it looking mostly normal. She felt unconformable in the quiet medicine den. It felt so strange being empty, she was accustomed to having at least one other cat sitting in their. She awkwardly shifted in the nest until she felt comfortable, than she sat up straight with her ears perked up, just in case Sagegaze sneaks up on her.
