{{ That's fine by me! Stagleap is out with Fawndance right now, but maybe when he returns he could go and train with Darkpaw. }}

Stagleap quickly bounded after his sister, his tail instinctively disappearing between his legs cautiously, until he was able to trot at her side. He was glad that she was hunting with him, but he was instantly worried -Elder Tree? That was kind of close to BreezeClan -what if he trespassed hunting one of those obscene amounts of squirrels and got attacked? or what if they ran into a rogue? He thought to voice his concerns, but instead ducked his head and bit his lip. "Yeah, okay, let's do that." he meowed, walking as close as possible, just in case a rogue popped out. Fawndance nodded to herself as they walked down the path. She perked her ears, listening to the leaves crunching as the two walked together. She shot a quick glance towards Stagleap and saw how closely he was walking towards her, and she figured he might be freaking himself out. She thought for a moment before speaking, not wanting to say the wrong thing, "I think we'll be okay." Fawndance turned her head towards Stagleap, and smiled in a reassuring manner."We wont be that close to Breezeclan, and there's nothing dangerous around the Elder Tree. It's just a tree." Fawndance didn't really know the best way to calm him down, but she would certainly try her best. Stagleap considered this for a moment before giving a slow nod, although he still stayed close by her side. "I guess. But- but if we run into any BreezeClan cats, you have to protect me." he insisted, flattening his ears when he caught the sight of the Elder Tree's shadow before them as they walked. He did feel comforted by Fawndance's words, but he still wanted to be cautious, just in case. For total safety purposes, he graciously allowed Fawndance to go forward, so she could survey the area.

Fawndance walked forward, gently placing each paw down to insure that she was quiet, just in case something dangerous was actually there. She stared around the clearing, her eyes darting side to side, until she was satisfied with the lack of movement. She turned back to Stagleap and smiled, "Looks like nothing is here. I think we'll be fine." She purred.. Fawndance padded over to where The Elder Tree stood, looking up into it's branches. She was happy to see a squirrel sitting up high. "Do you think we'd be able to climb the tree?" She asked Stagleap, lowering her voice to make sure she didn't scare the squirrel.

Stagleap carefully made his way over to Fawndance's side, following her gaze up to the squirrel at the top of the tree. He glanced at the Elder Tree;s trunk, and noted how it look easy to climb; he could see several clawholds that he could use, but he also saw how high the branches were, and how easy it would be to casually fall to your death. "...we could." he agreed quietly, regretting his words, "But we shouldn't. What if we fall? or something?"

(Yesss, I love him! :3) Drizzlenose nodded enthusiastically, trying to sniffle as quietly as possible before taking a bite of the mouse he had brought over. "Y-Yeah. It's a little cooler out and everything. I think... Must be leafbare coming, yeah?" She meowed. She talks like a tomboy... so cute!))
"Yes, but let's hope that the prey proves to be plentiful until new-leaf comes again." His muzzle twitched and he realized that she was sniffling again. "Are you alright? I've heard that nose of yours can get pretty bad this time of year."

Drizzlenose gave a short bark of a laugh, mostly out of self-consciousness. "Oh, yeah... I'm fine, my nose just runs whenever it wants to. My mother thought I had just had a cough that wouldn't go away when I was a kit until we realized that's just the way I was naturally. But it's okay, as long as I don't end up making noise on the hunt." She meowed.

Darkpaw's maw stretched in an enormous yawn as he blinked open his sleep heavy eyes, blinking against the sunlight. The long legged tom stretched his body, arching his back before crawling up from underneath the bushes. His eyes flitted around the camp, looking for someone to talk to.
(Darkpaw is open for interaction)

Fawndance carefully considered her brothers words. Of course, once climbing anything, falling was a risk, but both her and Stagleap were competent climbers. Fawndance was confidant that neither of them would fall off. With that said, she would now have to convince Stagleap to agree with her. She kept her head looking high up into the tree, as she began to speak, "We're both good climbers Stagleap. We've nothing to worry about." She put her two front paws up on the trunk of the tree, unsheathing her claws to get a better grip on the rough bark. She was beginning to feel more confidant about the task of climbing, as the tree felt so sturdy. She doubted it would wobble.

Even though he was screaming internally, Stagleap didn't want to upset his sister by arguing further, and thus he followed. He waited until she had climbed up a bit before following behind her, practically hugging the tree and impaling his claws into the bark as far as they could go. He hoped that the little pieces of bark didn't fall off while he held them and make him fall off. That would suck. "Is the squirrel still there?" he asked -maybe if it left, they could go hunt prey on the very safe and sturdy ground!

"Go on ahead, see if you can find Thornfang and Droppaw," Nighthawk nodded off into the forest, his amber gaze guarded and a bit distracted. Needlepaw didn't hesitate. Sure, she wondered what her mentor would be doing with her gone, but she didn't really want to push him any more. She darted off into the overgrowth, scenting for the other cats in the patrol as she made her way toward Stoneclan border like Thornfang had instructed them before they had split apart. She felt a shiver run up her spine as she thought about what might have happened if Nighthawk hadn't been there to protect her. Nighthawk watched Needlepaw dart off, relief washing over him. How could he have been so foolish to let a kit out across the border?! Maybe he was starting to grow soft... The smoky warrior turned back and headed into the long grass a second time. He was determined to bring back hare with or without Needlepaw's help. Droppaw landed beside Thornfang, still a bit shaken. His fur was sticking out and his tail was twitching nervously. He felt so useless, failing to climb a tree. What kind of cat didn't climb trees?? He hung his head and waited for Thornfang to give him further instruction, shame burning a hole through his gut.

He meowed quietly, and after giving his apprentice a nudge with his nose, he started to lead the way toward the meeting place he had designated. As they padded along though, the warrior's ears rotated backward as he heard rustling in the overgrowth behind them. He rounded to face whatever was coming - only to realize a second later that it was Needlepaw. Needlepaw rushed to join the rest of the patrol and burst through the overgrowth to join them, looking frazzled, but she waved her tail in false enthusiasm. "Hi." She mewed.

She quietly crept up the tree, only stopping when she decided that she was at a more stable position. "I see the squirrel. I think that I can do this." She whispered down to Stagleap, hoping that the noise wouldn't scare the squirrel away. She was beginning to feel a little excited by the prospect of taking this squirrel down. Stagleap would certainly be impressed with her cunning hunting skills!

Stagleap cleverly decided not to move; he clung onto the tree, allowing Fawndance to go ahead with her daring plan and catch the squirrel by herself. Feeling a little bit cowardly, he began a very slow, very discreet journey of slowly backtracking down the tree, wiggling down little by little so Fawndance wouldn't notice and call him out, while he kept a close on his sister. Seeing as she was his only one left, he didn't want her to get hurt. "Go, Fawndance!" he supported lamely, his voice half a whisper to avoid startling her off the tree branch or something.

Stagleap thought, freezing underneath her as the squirrel thudded to the ground next to him. His fur spiking, he stumbled away from the doomed squirrel, flinging himself towards the tree as fast as he could and rushing up to the branch that Fawndance was on. Now that he was in front of her, clinging to the tree, he couldn't see a way that he could help her without snapping the branch she was already on. He felt like he was going to have a heart -attack if the branch shook again, but he managed to find a path to the branch above her, and crawled above her. "Don't worry, Fawndance!" he yelped, panic choking his voice. "Maybe -um- maybe grab -onto -my...body part!" he stretched down his legs and tail, attempting to reach for her. It wasn't a very good plan, but it was the best one that a panicking Stagleap could formulate at the time. {{ RIP Fawndance }}

She could hear Stagleap speaking, but she was more focused on the cracking branch. With every sound it made, she cringed and tried to scoot faster. After a series of smaller, quieter cracks, she heard a very loud snapping sound. The branch broke off of the tree, and they were both send flying down. She let out a shriek of surprise as she flailed her legs wildly, praying to Starclan she would be alright. She hit the ground with a loud thud, and she stood for a second, her eyes tightly closed, and her head held down, almost as though to curl up into a ball. That's when she realized she wasn't that high up, and had landed on her feet. Her paws felt stinging pain, and with all the fear going through her head, she was struggling to think straight. So she decided that the next best course of action was to fall over, flat on the ground, to take the pressure off of her.

Jasminepaw ;; { 🌴𝒎𝒊𝒂𝒎𝒊 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔🌴 - mapleclan camp }
The cream-furred apprentice nodded gratefully at Poppystar, feeling almost relieved as the leader left. No more awkwardness and she could finally enjoy her breakfast. Picking up her meal, Jasminepaw headed over to the entrance of the medicine den to eat. She settled down happily and instantly took a bite out the mouse. Her green gaze drifted back Poppystar, who was now conversing with Mintleaves. The medicine cat apprentice pricked her ears, in hopes of hearing what they were saying. Obviously it would only be about Mintleaves escorting the apprentice out of camp, but Jasminepaw listened anyways.
She was right, they weren't saying anything worth hearing. Jasminepaw averted her attention and looked around camp. She glanced behind her and wondered when her mentor would finally wake up. She was surprised that Sagegaze was still asleep.
Catching the grey warrior looking over at her, Jasminepaw hurried up her eating and finished quickly. She didn't want to keep Mintleaves longer than she needed to. Though the young cat did take time to groom her whiskers and muzzle; she liked to keep herself presentable. After discarding of the mouse's remains, Jasminepaw trotted over to Mintleaves and dipped her head. "Ready when you are!"

Stagleap stared in silent horror as his sister fell from the tree, covering with his eyes with his paws, unwilling to watch his sister hit the ground. No sounds of pain met his ears, and after a few moments, he carefully opened his eyes -"Fawndance!" he gasped, seeing her lying seemingly -wounded on the ground. He shuffled backwards to the tree base and half stumbled down, bounding over to Fawndance. "Fawndance, are you okay? I knew you shouldn't have climbed the tree! I warned you! Oh no! I have to get help!" he stumbled over his words frantically, prancing around Fawndance's body, his breath coming in quick bursts of panic, as he completely failed to check Fawndance for signs of living.

Although it was slightly entertaining to see Stagleap freaking out, she was still reeling from falling out of the tree, and she felt pretty bad about it. She had been so confidant about herself, and than to fail like that was humiliating. She thanked her lucky stars Stagleap was the only one to have seen her do that. She snapped out of her thoughts and realized she should confirm her safety to Stagleap, "I'm fine Stagleap. I'm just a little bit sore after taking that fall." She mustered up a small smile, just to further prove that she was completely fine. On a more positive note, she saw that the squirrel was completely fine, so it wasn't a complete loss.

Fawndance examined her right front leg, the one that was feeling the most pain, and she deemed it looking okay. Or, if nothing else, it wasn't broken. "I think I might of just sprained my paw, or something." She mewed, trying to sound relaxed, even though she wasn't. After having so much adrenaline in such a short amount of time, she just wanted to cry and than take a nap. She tried to flex her right paw, and was satisfied to see that it was moving, although a sharp pain made her wince. "I'm really sure it's not broken. I can move it." She confirmed to Stagleap, and herself. Even though she was partially relieved, she did not want to walk back to the camp with her paw hurting so much.

👻videocassette👻 Thanks!)) Smokefeather nodded, and remembered a few words that his father had taught him. "What counts is how much prey you have, not how you hunt the prey." He recited, and then blinked at Drizzlenose. "Uh, someone used to tell me that." He ducked his head, embarrassed- he didn't like to talk about his parents unless he couldn't help it.

Drizzlenose tilted her head to see Smokefeather so embarrassed, but she didn't think too much into it. "Huh. I guess that's true." She meowed with a shrug. "And I'm pretty good at getting a fair share of prey, so, it doesn't make too much of a difference..." She reasoned. At least with warrior duties, that is. It didn't stop her from feeling embarrassed when around her clanmates, though.
