Mistflower quietly stalked to the west side of the intruders, holding back a growl as she watched the two cats through the underbrush and made sure they did not see her. She stopped in position and looked to Falconstar, awaiting his signal to move in. She would watch his actions, unsure if he wanted to only confront the intruders or to also attack.

Her tail flicking from side to side with a level of nervousness, eager to get off of the territory which held far too many memories for her, with the growing fear that they were going to get caught and she would be forced to face a history she prayed to leave in the past. "Not long," she said trying to hurry her pace. The swell of her stomach making progress a little more difficult than she would have liked it to. A pant quickly making up her breaths, wrapping her tail around her very swollen sides but she didn't pause to take a breath.

OOC: Yay!
BIC: Falconstar waited enough time for his clanmates to get in place before he made his move. By that time the two rouges had closed in on Falconstar and Hickory. Suddenly he made a loud howl signaling for Crowsong and Mistflower to appear. He himself then stepped into view of the loners and quickly closed in on them.
Thorn was happy to hear that they didn't have far to go. He wanted to hurry back to the others with prey, knowing how weak they were. Just as he was about to respond he head a loud yowl just in front of him and he stopped in his tracks rushing up to Lyra's side. Standing protectively by her side he puffed himself up to look as fierce and big as possible. Raising his lips exposing his sharp teeth the tom let a loud growl escape his throat.

Lyra had happily been keeping pace with the tm, but had all but jumped out of her skin at the sight of the patrol. Headed by the tom she had once adored, she had initially ad admittedly rather stupidly in place. Her ears twitched hen she spotted Hickory, the father of her current litter and her heart soared to see that he was ok. But that did little to calm her, she stayed behind Thorn, praying this would not end in a fight, her fangs bared in a defensive manner though.

Mistflower moved in, closing in on them and growling. She watched Falconstar out of the corner of her eye, her gaze on the rogues fierce.

Crowsong leapt out of her spot behind the pair with a fierce growl, her black pelt standing on end. Up ahead she could see Falconstar and to her left she could see Mistflower as well. Slowly advancing to match their pace the she-cat kept her honey colored eyes trained to the two cats. Looking from the tan tom to what appeared to be a white and golden queen, suddenly Crowsong realized that she knew the queen. "Goldenpetal?!", she questioning raising her head up with her ears perked, her growl coming to a quick halt.
As Falconstar reached the two strangers he suddenly realized that he knew the she-cat. As Crowsong called out her former apprentices name, the clan leader halted in his tracks. It was Goldenpetal, his former mate! What was she doing back here? He had been forced by the clan to exile her when they all believed that she had killed the previous deputy, Leopardfrost. Sadly Falconstar didn't know to believe and had to put the clan first.
Thorn suddenly saw a cat to their side and another behind them. They were surrounded. 'Fox-dung', he hissed in his mind. This was so not what they were needing right now, a patrol of clan cats. "Stay close to me!", he meowed quickly to Lyra as he unsheathed his long black claws.

Looking away at the sound of a name she hadn't been known as in what felt like a lifetime, she stayed to Thorn's side like she was his shadow. Wrapping her tail around the swell of her stomach in an attempt to hide the fact that she was very pregnant, hoping how skinny she was would make it less obvious in spite of the milky scent she carried. Lyra shifted from one paw to the other in discomfort, casting her gaze to Thorn with a twitch of her ears. Looking to her new leader for leadership, and doing what she could to ignore the cats she'd once known as friends.
At last her eyes left the ground to which they'd been fixed until then, to glance at the tom whom once upon a time she had loved like no other. Her heart ached to ask of the daughter she'd been forced to leave behind when she was barely a moon old. The kit she had known was now a stranger to her, and though she now carried kits again they would never replace her first daughter, the one she'd lost a lifetime ago.
"Hello, Falconstar," she said at last with a quiet tone.

Mistflower continued growling as she saw the former mate of her leader. It was because of her that Mistflower had become deputy, but that was at great cost to the cat she had once called mentor. She glared at the heavily pregnant queen and dug her own claws into the ground to keep from leaping at her out of anger. Her gaze darted to Falconstar, wondering if he understood what she was going through right now.
(Is it alright if I add in that Mistflower was once Leopardfrost's apprentice? If not I'll edit it)

(yeah that's fine, I was wanting Crowsong to have mentored Goldenpetal since their ages are far enough apart, just to help create more connections and depth to the RP)

(I'm doing somewhat better since Tuesday, I just got some new pain meds so I'm a-okay 😉 and storm I hope you feel better soon. If you didnt live all the way in England I would have soup and stuff delivered to your house *hugs*)
Falconstar didn't know what to say and the only thing that came out of his mouth was, "Goldenpetal?". After a moment he found his tongue and spoke up. "What are you doing here?", He asked his tone not angry or upset. It was simply full of curiosity. He had never thought he would see her again and his heart ached as it began to remember the beautiful love they had once had. The love that he wished never had to happen again. As his eyes gazed over her thin form he could easily see her bones beneath her pelt and then he saw her belly. She was pregnant, and seeing that felt like he had gotten stabbed in the heart... She had taken another mate..
Thorn watched as the cats agressive stance slightly changed when they recognized Lyra as their former clanmate. He did not want the clan cats to know what their plan was and when he saw Hickory right next to Falconstar the tom looked away from him and rested on Falconstar as if he didn't know him. Just as he was about to say something he heard a voice behind him, the black shecat.
Crowsong asked why Goldenpetal was hear and then spoke up. "They were stealing prey! I found fresh bones just around the bend", she said with a cold growl.

Mistflower lashed her tail, "of course they're stealing prey. They're rogues. And she's a traitor." The deputy growled, obviously still thinking about her late mentor. Mistflower had grown up with parents, both had died when she was very young, and Leopardfrost had loved and trained her like she was her own kit. She could never forgive Lyra for taking that away from her.

(Haha, thanks Falcon XD I'm currently having a nice chicken soup so I'm good on the soup front, but its the thought that counts )
When she saw Falconstar's gaze land on her belly, Lyra shifted uncomfortably beneath his gaze and shifted her weight from one side of her body to the other. Trying to ignore the pain that flickered in his eyes on the realisation, she twitched her ears back to her head with a protective growl. This tom had a precedence of taking her kits from her, and wasn't going to give him the chance a second time. "I've not been Goldenpetal in a long time," she explained simply, keeping a careful gaze on her ex mate, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws. The effort of a long journey had taken its toll and she was tired from the effort, a pain slowly burning in her gut but for now she ignored it. Hoping it wasn't what she feared it was, but she had been through this before, and knew better than to be naive.
Flinching at her old mentor's words, the queen looked to the dark shecat for the first time. Hurting at her angry tone, Lyra's face and body was still littered with the scars from the battle that took place the day she'd been exhiled. "Our group is starving," she said simply her eyes again fixed on her golden paws. "You look well fed enough, we assumed you could stand to lose a mouse or two."
A growl left her lips at Mistflower's words, turning to face the shecat pinning her ears. "I did nothing," she said lowly. Maintaining what she'd said all along, though no one had believed her then, she doubted anyone would believe her now.

Mistflower growled, sadness permeating from her tone, “you killed my mentor!" The heartbreaking sadness in her eyes was obvious and for a moment, the young deputy faltered.

Lyra too growled, defensive and protective of the life she carried more than she was wanting to start a fight, it was a rumbling sound from deep in her chest. "I did no such thing," she said with a low growl. Fangs bared and ears flat to her head, she flinched as her stomach shivered with the kicking of the kits safely inside. "I did no such thing, I was in the nursery suckling a kit at the time, how could I have killed a deputy?" She snarled, all the same insistances she'd made the first time but all of them had fallen on deaf ears.

"Then who did it?" Mistflower snapped, her expression broken. She was clearly losing her grip on emotional control at that moment.

Falconstar stepped up to Mistflower forcing himself to tear his gaze from the Goldenpetal, heart in pieces. "Settle yourself." His meow was firm and understanding as he looked to his deputy and then down to the earth. Taking a deep breath gathering his emotions the tom then looked back up to his former mate. "You must leave", he meowed his tone emotionless but it killed him on the inside to say those words. In his mind he was reliving the moment he had to exile her. "Take your friend and leave.... And never come back", he meowed not caring that she had stolen prey. He hated seeing her this way, struggling, and it didn't help that she was carrying someone else's kits. It made him think of Palepaw and when she was a newborn kit.

More than happy to follow his orders even if it had been a long time since she had known him as her leader, she brushed her tail against Thorn's shoulder, giving him a pleading glance that they get going. The pain from her stomach becomming unbearable to the point where even standing became a chore. "Trust me when I say I have no intention of ever seeing this place again," but her voice lacked the malice that might have been expected. Her eyes dark with sadness tainted by pain she lifted herself to her paws with a grunt, stomach swinging beneath her heavily. Rock hard with the contractions which were slowly building up in intensity, pain only worsened by the starvation she'd known for moons. She turned to move away, only to stumble with a flinch, catching herself as best as she could before she slammed to the ground. She tried to return to her paws, but found it near impossible.

Falconstar watched as she started to leave and when she stumbled he lunged forwards to help her stand steady, know all too well the look on her face. She was close to having her kits, the journey here must have been too much for her. "Can you make it back to your camp?" He asked as his voice full of concern. He couldn't help himself, this was the shecat he had given his heart to. His heart ached for her and being so close and smelling her sweet scent the tom could feel his love for her returning.
Thorn hissed at Falconstar when he came close to them but stopped when he realized that he was going to help her. He didn't quite know what to think of the situation but shouldered his way between the two taking the queens weight onto himself. "I will help her, we are leaving", he growled to Falconstar to back off and he tried to help Lyra move forwards to leave.

Grimacing, she took a deep breath and forced herself back to her paws shaking with the effort. Eyes darkening with pain, she crouched down with a pant, trying to pull herself together long enough to stand up and at least get away from the cats she'd once trusted with her life. "I'm fine," she said with a mistrusting growl, regardless of the fact it took a simple look at her to know that the truth was very much the opposite. The pain was so much worse than it had been the day she'd given birth to Palepaw, and that time she was in a soft moss nest, surrounded by cats she trust and loved. Now she migth as well have been alone, and she was scared.
Finally drawing herself together well enough to stand up right again with a forceful shake, she'd have moved to stand beside her leader had it not been for a sudden wail ripping from her lips. It would appear it was too late, the kits were coming and she didn't have the energy to get up and leave. Not to mention the fact it could kill her kits to move her now, in the midst of what would be a painful kitting.

Mistflower took a few steps back in response to Falconstar telling her to settle. She tore her gaze away and didn't even wince when she heard the she-cat stumble. She watched Falconstar, refusing to look at Lyra. "Falconstar, I will run back and get our medicine cat. But I think it's best that she not come back to our camp. I don't trust them." Her voice was finally steady as she tried to push her emotions back.

"Yes do that Mistflower! Hurry and only tell Peachpool that it's a rouge queen", Falconwing instructed to her deputy wanting Goldenpetals identity to be kept a secret from the clan for now. Lashing his tail he gave his dismissal. "Crowsong, Hickory quick gather up some soft grass as a nest. No kit deserves to be born in the dust", he ordered and then looked to Goldenpetal and Thorn. "You are safe to have your kits, and then you must leave", he meowed to the outsiders making an exception for his former love. Moving close to her he spoke only low enough for her to hear. "I'm sorry", were the words he whispered to her before pulling away and looking to Hickory. "Stay alert for foxes or coyotes", he meowed wanting the tom to stand guard.
Crowsong looked to Goldenpetal and then reluctantly turned away to gather up some soft grass. However much she didn't want to help the traitor, her kits don't deserve to be killed and she would obey her leaders orders. Focusing on the task she quickly napped away at the base of the tall blades of grass and started to make a nest.

Mistflower sprinted towards camp, her paws carrying her as fast as she could. When she reached the river again she quickly sprinted and leaped over it, just barely making it across but nonetheless having made it. She ran into camp and to the medicine den, "Peachpool, we need help in the forest. There is a rogue queen giving birth right now!"

Cringing in pain, the queen tried desperately to scramble to her paws biting back the whimper which came from standing up in spite of her contractions. She held her breath in order not to scream out, "I can make it back to camp," she insisted with a level of terrified desperation, looking back to Thorn with a level of desperation bright in her eyes, fearful that she would lose this litter too after the pain of having to abandon the tiny Palepaw. She couldn't risk having these kits taken too, but soon standing up became too much effort for the golden queen. Collapsing to the ground again, only able to concentrate on the near agonising pain which near crippled her. She sprawled into the dirt with a whimper, eyes half closed as she pushed with all her might. At last giving up and accepting that this would be the place her kits were born.
With a wrench, the first was born. A tom kit of rich brown colour, striped in a similar manner to his mother but unfortunately similar in appearance to his father. Panting, she let out a growl at anyone who dared touch her newest kit, lifting him from the ground. Remembering from when Palepaw had been born, she carefully nipped at its sac and released her newborn into the world. It let out a weak mewling sound, which was quickly silenced by his mother's attempts to lick and soothe it in spite of the pain.
