Mistflower kept clawing at the ridge with her back claws, attempting to keep her front claws firmly lodged into the ground. “Falconstar!” She gasped. “I’m slipping!”

OOC: oops sorry I didn't complete my post here's the rest of it.
BIC: Falconstars heart dropped when he watched as Mistflowers hind end lost her footing and dropped into the ravine leaving her front half scrambling to not fall into the river below. Lunging forwards the large tabby tom firmly clamped down on her scruff and pulled her up and onto solid ground. He continued to pull her till she was away from the ledge before he let go. Panting with wide eyes he nudged her shoulder, "Are you okay?", He asked promtly.
Crowsong watched as Mistflower almost fell and Falconstar rush to save her. Once the deputy was on solid ground and out of the way the black warrior quickly leapt over to the other side and rushed to her clanmates side. Comfortingly giving her a couple of licks to her ear, happy that she was now safe. "That was a close one", she meowed.
"Sure, but only if your up for it", Thorn meowed and turned to scent out some prey. Instantly hearing the faint scraping of earth from a mouse the sandy tom darted into the tall grass and rushed after the creature. His long black long managed to snag it's pelt before it was able to escape into it's burrow. Dragging it to his jaws the tom quickly grabbed it and ended it's life. After it was over the tom was left panting, his energy mostly spend from just simply hunting. Pushing himself he then began to look for another mouse.

Nodding promptly, the pregnant queen paused for a split second. Ears twitching in search of prey she quickly caught sight of a plump thrush and lifted herself to her paws and slipped into the hunter's crouch. A less than easy gesture considering the extensive swell of her stomach she slipped forward as quietly as she could manage. Her tail twitching from side to side, eager at the prospect of eating the bird. She lunged, whilst it was by no means elegant it was surprisingly efficient. Killing the bird with a quick bite to the back of its neck, and sat up. Returning to where Thorn had left the mouse and adding it to the makeshift pile.

Mistflower stayed down for a few moments to recover and looked up at the leader. “I’m okay. Thank you for saving me.” She was just feeling a bit shaken up from almost falling to her likely death. The deputy slowly pushed herself to her paws and shook out her fur.

OOC: Sweet they look great and all are accepted I will add their forms to the front page tomorrow. Also you are more than welcome to have a warrior on Falcons patrol too BIC: Stepping back to give Mistflower some space Falconstar gave her a moment to catch her breath before speaking. "Well try not to do that again, you would be sorely missed", he meowed touching her with his tail and a friendly manner. "Alright let's continue", he voiced after another minute. Looking to both shecats the tom then turned around and headed straight for the north east corner where the thunderpath and adder rocks came together. Having managed to catch another mouse a plump one this time, the sandy tom returned to Lyra and settled himself on the ground to eat. "This is gonna be so good", he meowed with a purr as he looked to the queen for a brief moment before tearing off the first bite of his mouse. Thorns tail tip uncontrollably flicked in a happy manner, happy to finally be able to eat a decent meal. This territory would be perfect for the group, it was running with such plump prey that they themselves would probably get as far as a kittypet just before leafbare.

"I'll have to work on my strength in my haunches then." She meowed, slightly joking and slightly not. She definitely did not want to fall down into the river below. She winced even thinking of the possibility. "The clan won't lose me anytime soon." She turned and followed Falconstar.

Hickory snickered, lightly pushing his pelt against Mistflower. He had a playful little smile on his face, even amidst of the danger that could have just happened. "Watch your step there." He mewed, pulling his body back away with a small little chuckle to himself. If it had just been the two of them alone, well he wouldn't have hesitated to let Mistflower fall. He would have smacked the rest of her paws off the cliff face to help her down, but, he surely couldn't do that with Falconstar around. He had been disguised as a newly accepted clan-cat for about 2 moons now, and he thought things were going swimmingly. He still was the last one to eat during meals, and hadn't made any close bonds, but he was getting the information he needed, and that was what was most important. Every two weeks, when the moon would change shape to another quarter, he would slink back away to the rogue group and tell them what he had found out. He hadn't been found yet, as he made sure to go only during the deepest hours of night, and return before dawn even had a chance of reaching the valley. He covered himself in fresh Earth to cover the scent of his rogue family, then crept back into his nest like nothing had ever happened. He was waiting to get close to Falconstar, that was his biggest goal... But it was going to be a challenge.
Canoyonpaw and Emberpaw were doing their own training in the middle of camp. Or, at least, Emberpaw was trying. "YOU CALL THAT A HUNTER'S CROUCH?" His little voice boomed, it seemed so strange coming from his small, buff little body. Heh, Canyonpaw thought it kind of made him look like an angry mouse. She was flopped down on the ground in front of him, ferns in her messy head fur, thorns scattered across her tangled coat. She had just woken up from her second nap of the day and he was already yelling at her? What was she doing again? Or right, training. She pushed herself up to her paws again jsut for her behind to slump back on the ground in a sitting position. "Jeez man, don't have a cow." She pawed some of the discarded foliage from her head fur, looking at her brother with calm yellow eyes. He was fuming with rage. "WHEN ARE YOU EVER GOING TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY?!" He exploded, jumping up and down. "Hey man, I am taking this seriously." She said as she slumped back to laying down. The sun's rays felt sooooo good today on her fur. "You see that mouse I brought back today? That was hard for me to get, man." She gestured her long, crooked tail to the fresh kill pile. Adorning the top of it was one dead, sickly mouse. Truth be told it was dead before she ever pounced, must have keeled over from old age or something. Nevertheless it was a score! Emberpaw did not look impressed. He frowned at her, brow knit. "Enough! Get up! We're not done training!" "Wuah... I just laid back down." Her forearms trembled as she pushed herself back up, jaws parting in a yawn.
Peachpool hummed softly to herself as she dropped today's fresh arrival of herbs onto the medicine cats den floor. The bitter taste of the medicine had seeped onto her tongue, but after being in her position for many many moons, one got used to it. She sat down and began to organize her findings, nothing that great... They were short on a few necessary supplies, she had been going out every morning to try to find them. But, it was like some of the plants were just disappearing. She filed away the poppy seeds and honey suckle, using her tail to sweep away the remaining leaves as her paws got to work. It would be so helpful if she had an apprentice to aid her with this... Her attention was drawn back to the patient in her care. Peachpool stood up and bounded the short distance to Palepaw, pressing her nose to her forehead to feel the temperature. It seemed her fever was doing better. Many of the cuts had closed and started the process of healing, but the one along her neck was not looking good... "Palepaw," She whispered softly, placing a soft paw on her flank and lightly shaking her.
Fawnheart dragged his sand papery tongue across his smooth, clean fur, trying to get it to lie flat. He had woken up not to long ago, none too proud about being the last warrior out... It didn't matter that he was up late the night before doing guard patrol, he always felt self conscious being the last one up. His long fur was still messed up from his sleep. Once he had gotten it all to finally lie flat the first place his paws were taking him to was the medicine cat den. Along the way he grabbed the small, frail looking mouse from the top. He wasn't really thinking about which one he took, if he was he would have picked out something much nicer for his apprentince. He still couldn't believe what had happened. Figures the one time Palepaw was off on her own was the time chaos struck. He had been feeling unbelievably guilt for it ever since it happened, feeling as though he failed not only as a warrior, but more importantly a mentor. This was his first apprentice and he was already messing it up! Every day she looked to be recovering, but that first day he was fearful she wasn't going to make it. Fawnheart had been trying to find a way to atone for his own feeling of guilt. "Morning?" His rather feminine, soft voice came from the entrance of the medicine cats den as he poked his head in, black tail curling shyly.

Mistflower licked her chest fur in embarrassment. "It's not my fault that I'm smaller than everyone else." She snapped back at Hickory, clearly offended by his joking tone. She could have died. The young deputy always felt like she had to work so much harder just to keep up with everyone else. It had been such an honor for her when Falconstar had chosen her to be his deputy.

Hickory was much less thrilled when Mistflower had been chosen, as if he thought some how he would be chosen, of course that was just an insane dream. Truthfully he should have been thrilled that the deputy was someone who seemed to easy to manipulate, but with all things it had to come with time. Hickory stepped back, laughing off her defensive behavior as if it was all in good fun. "I'm just playin' with ya! I'm glad you didn't fall, because I don't feel like getting my pelt wet today." He meowed, insinuating that if she were to fall h wouldn't hesitate to jump in after her. "Clan doesn't want to lose it's new deputy already," He smiled at her, and when he smiled it was genuine and true, like nothing was beneath the surface. Exactly why Hickory was perfect for his position.

Mistflower relaxed a bit, calming her bristled fur. "Sorry I got defensive." She meowed. She glanced at Hickory hesitantly, still slightly on edge, but when she saw his seemingly genuine expression, she relaxed.
(Are you dead set on having Hickory trying to destroy the clan? Or would you be cool with a little "complication" thrown in, in the form of an unexpected romance?)

Crowsong kept her distance from the new clan additions, Hickory, still wary of the tom. Not that she had and specific reason to be, the shecat just simply didn't trust him and every time she was around him her fur prickled. Taking up position at the back of the group the black shecat kept pace with the patrol as they made the uphill climb to the top of the hill. Once at the top the shecat stopped and looked at the territory before them. Below to the north adder rocks sat with just a thin strip of land that dipped down just before the Thunderpath. Watching as Falconstar led the way down the slope to the rocky outcrop Crowsong took a minute to gaze across the territory. Not seeing anything out of place she quickly followed the patrol down the slope and onto the rocky outcrop of Adder Rocks. Once they reached Adder Rocks Falconstar flicked his tail for the patrol to spend out and search the area. It was common for predators to take up residence here and the clan leader wanted to make sure there were no unwanted guests in Briarclans territory. "Please be careful of the adders", he meowed to his clan mates before separating from the group to scent mark the territory close to the Thunderpath. As he bounded from rock to rock the tabby tom constantly scented the air so far nothing out of the ordinary came to his nostrils. Palepaw could feel someone nudging her awake and she blinked her eyes open to see Peachpool bending over her. Slowly stretching her stiff body the apprentice sat up and looked at the medicine cat. "Good morning", she meowed kindly to the cream and golden shecat. "I feel much better today", she meowed with a slight purr. Suddenly she heard a soft voice at the dens entrance and the pale tabby shecat looked up to see Fawnheart carrying a plump piece of prey. "Hey!", She said with a purr happy to see the tom. Wildfire woke to the sounds of his apprentice training with his sibling. Rolling off his back and onto his belly the ginger and black tom watched keenly as the young apprentice tried to train his less than willing sister. The warrior found it amusing to see the two siblings go back and forth but he could also see Emberpaws heart behind the reason for pushing Canyonpaw. When the shecat continued to be disinterested the warrior rose to his paws a padded over to the pair. "How about fighting a real warrior?", Wildfire challenged lashing his tail playfully to show that it was a mock battle. OOC: Here are the mentor apprentice relationships sorry I didn't post them, I forgot. I will update the front page right now. Lightningwatcher - Palepaw Wildfire - Emberpaw Either Tornflower or Crowsong can be Canyonpaws mentor. @stormpetal do you mind having two apprentices if so I don't mind it being Crowsong I just thought that Tornflower would be a good match for her. Detoxx Palepaw has a crush on Fawnheart.

Licking her lips gratefully at the taste of meat on her lips, it had been her first proper meal in what felt like moons and was extremely thankfully for something to fill her belly. "I don't think I've ever tasted a bird so good," she said with a soft laugh. Shifting her weight from one side to the other in an attempt to sit more comfortably, her mind couldn't help but flutter to Hickory, whom she could only pray was ok.

Mistflower did her scenting rounds amongst the rocks, carefully watching for adders. She'd trained many times at this location as an apprentice and had become very good at avoiding the adders.

(Yessssss! Awesome this is going to be so cute. ;w;)
"Wildfire!" Emberpaw snapped to attention like a good apprentice, perhaps too good though. He was so focused on training that he hardly had any time for fun. Complete opposite of his sister. Emberpaw faced his mentor, standing tall and proud. "Apologizes, I was not trying to skip training, I was simply trying to usher fourth my sister enthu-" "You're on, dog-face!" Canyonpaw yowled happily, springing to her lanky paws and springing on Wildfire. She landed unbalanced on his shoulders, toppling over him with a poor fighting form and batting at him with sheathed claws across the face. Emberpaw stood stiff beside her as the cats devolved into a pile of flinging paws, he looked confused, a bit uncomfortable.
"A-Are you feeling better?" Fawnheart murmured softly as he padded in, tail swishing behind him. He nodded a greeting to Peachpool and dropped the prey at his apprentice's nest, he had been delivering her meals throughout her whole time here. Her sat down beside her, nosing the mouse towards her. He hadn't eaten today, but as previously mentioned, he didn't feel he deserved it after sleeping in. "That's just what I was going to ask." Peachpool purred.

Wildfire saw Canyonpaws attack coming but for the sake of training them the tom let her knock him over and as she batted at his face he slapped her neck with his claws sheathed and then pushed her away. "That was a killing blow, don't leave yourself so exposed. Always be on the defense even when your attacking. Now again!", He instructed ending with a hiss to entice the two apprentices. Canyonpaw had swiftness on her side and Emberpaw had the strength, if they worked their strengths together they had a chance to win against him.
Quickly gulping down the first mouse Thorn started on the second but had to stop halfway through for his stomach felt as if it would burst. Pushing it away towards Lyra he sighed. "I used to be able to eat three mice in one sitting, I guess my stomach shrank", he said simply gesturing for her to finish it off if she wanted to. Pushing himself up to a sitting position and began to clean out his claws.
Falconstar reached the other side of the adder rocks and began to sniff around. Not finding anything but a few stale scents he quickly scent marked the border and and returned to the patrol. "Is everyone ready to continue?" He asked making sure no one had found anything yet.
Palepaw gave a faint soft purr as he set the mouse down at her paws but quickly choked it at when Peachpool spoke to her. "I'm feel good. Stiff and a little achy but over all I feel good. When will I be able to return to my warrior training?", She asked curiously casting a quick sweet look to Fawnheart before returning her attention back to the medicine cat.

(is the patrol going to find lyra and thorn?)
At first the pregnant queen looked rather tempted to do as he'd offered, but with a sigh she shook her head firmly and lifted herself to her paws with a gentle grunt. "No, the others re as hungry as we are, we should bring it back to them and see if they can make it better use of the prey," she explained with a soft sight. Trying to pretend that she was no longer hungry but the truth was quite the opposite.

Thorn flicked his ear at the queen and pushed the mouse closer to her. "Eat it. We can hunt for the others on our way back. Besides the scent of blood might drawn unwanted attention", the golden tom meowed. He cared about Lyra and wanted to make sure she ate enough for the sake of the kits she carried. His tone might have been a little on the rough side it was only cause he wanted the best. "Hurry up now, I don't want to stay in the same spot for too long", he added to help prompt her to eat the mouse.
Hearing his deputy say they were ready Falconstar nodded and took the lead and led the clan cats south along the border. He kept sniffing the scents on the air but the strong retched scent of the thunderpath was all that he could smell. Leaving the Adder Rocks behind them the clan leader headed up the slope towards the top of the next hill, where unknown to him two rouges meandered about the territory.
(Yeah Doveshadow can have a crush on him. And yes the patrol is just about to come across them.)

Twitching an ear, she looked less than certain but knew better than to try to argue with her leader. The queen settled back down with a soft sigh, wrapping her tail around the swell of her stomach with a rumbling sound from her chest. Lowering her nose to take a bite out of the small mouse, thankful it was only small so she didn't feel too bad about taking what could have fed the rest of her group. She sat up with a twitch of her tail, quick to burry the bones of the mouse and looking back to Thorn. "Shall we go?"

She flicked her ear as she listened to the sounds around her, keeping her eyes peeled for intruders. Mistflower scrunched her nose slightly at the scent of the thunderpath and lashed her tail. Following Falconstar, she allowed her mind to wander back to her close friend Moonshadow who was safely back in camp. She found herself getting too distracted in thoughts of her friend struggling to raise 4 kits alone and shook her head quickly, trying to clear her thoughts.

"Yes", Thorn meowed and started to travel due north parallel with the Thunderpath. Coming around the bend at the base of a hill the sandy colored tom could see yet another grassy hill ahead of them. "How much further till we get there?", he asked curiously he tone mild and kind. Now that he had a full stomach the tom seemed to have lost is normal everyday aggression, as if it was just hunger that drove his aggression.
Falconstar reached to top of the hill after making the last couple of bounds up the semi-steep slope. As he did the wind rushed towards him slamming into his body causing his fur to ruffle up and move wildly. Peering down below him just as he was just about to keep walking the clan leader noticed movement that seemed to have caught his eyes. At the base of the hill was the form of two cats. From their position he was unable to catch their scents and he quickly lashed his tail to the others to crouch as he dropped to the ground as well, he did not want to give away their position. "Intruder!", he hissed to his patrol. Crowsong, circle around behind them. Mistflower, circle around to the west side of them to block them from going deeper into the territory. Hickory, stay with me", he instructed quickly to his warriors thinking on his feet. "Do not let yourselves be seen until I give the signal", he meowed and then lashed his tail for the two she-cats to rush off to their position. The tabby tom then looked to Hickory for a brief moment before turning his attention back to the intruders. He would have had Hickory come up on the other side of the intruders but the clan leader still did not trust him enough and wanted to keep him close just in case.
Crowsong had noticed the intruders just as Falconstar had and she quickly crouched down following Falconstars lead. Hearing his instructions the black she-cat nodded and flattened her ears. Slinking away down the side of the hill the warrior was swift as she circled around to the other side of the warriors. As she stalked up behind the two cats the she-cat caught scent of the trail they were leaving and she quickly followed it. Coming upon freshly dug earth curious Crowsong scraped away the earth to reveal fresh prey bones. A low growl came from her chest and she quickly choked it out. Sniffing the ground there was something familiar about one of the cats scent but she was unable to make it out. Shaking her head she then left behind the kill sight and got in position and waited for Falconstar to give the signal.
