Padding towards the fresh-kill pile, Silverfern noticed Ashcloud struggling to get the burs out of his long(?) fur. His eyes gleamed with amusement as he decided to check on the large tom. Quickly walking towards Ashcloud, he thanked the stars his fur wasn't as long as the gray warrior's. "You seem like you're in a pretty sticky situation there." Silverfern said, chuckling at his own joke. "Want to come back to my den? I can soak the burs in mouse bile. It might loosen them a bit and make them easier to pull off." Silverfern crouched and examined the burs closer. "They seem a bit tangled, but it's nothing I shouldn't be able to fix." He looked up towards his clan mate. Amusement filled Silverfern's eyes once again as he noticed another pod right on Ashcloud's forehead.

Cherrykit squeaked as he bumped into another cat, scrambling away and blinking up at the bigger Snowheart. "I'm fine!" he mewed, placing his paws on the feather as though he expected it to be taken away, crouching down with his rump high. "Are you getting fresh-kill? Can I help?" he asked, straightening up as he realised the proximity to the pile. His mother sighed in the background, watching in case he became too much of a bother.

“That’s the spirit!” Ashwing replied, unable to keep the mentor in her from jumping on the opportunity to encourage more practice. “Keep your skills up, and I’m sure I can convince Graymoon to let you come along on the next battle—as long as you promise to watch carefully for trees,” she added, her tone scolding, though her eyes glimmered as she scanned the horizon for any unfamiliar shapes to whom that scent might belong.
“Oh, in that case, welcome,” Flamefrost purred, shifting her perch in the tree to make more room for Runepool’s larger form. She swung around to face him, her tail unconsciously raised to catch the breeze, and tilted her head contentedly. “So what was your excuse for wandering around? I need a few new ideas before the clan starts getting suspicious of how many hours I spend ‘hunting’ every day,” she laughed.

RunePool enjoyed feeling the breeze through through his fur before he replied to the she-cat. "I didn't really give an excuse. I just told some cat I was going for a walk and left. I might hunt while out though, better than doing nothing."

(I don't really have much going on right now, so if you would like to start something with me you're welcome to.) Alright!! ) Spiritpaw, being nervous of losing a prey, she decided to run back to camp and tried not to burst out in tears if ever someone asked. She hated of failing on something. She hated disappointing others, especially her fellow apprentices. "I-If someone found out about this, i'm doomed!" She thought and finally, entered camp. Sweat dripped down her forehead and she breathe heavily. Hopefully, nobody noticed her. (I hope this is okay!)

The way I have it set up right now, Silverfern may or may not take him back to the Medicine Cat's Den, so maybe we could meet there or maybe Silverfern will just see Spiritpaw as he walks out of the den or something along those lines. Is that okay?)

With his attempts evidently failing, doing little more than causing himself additional hassle, Ashcloud was pleasantly surprised to hear Silverfern approach -- All the more grateful to hear a helpful suggestion. "Well, hello there, Silverfern!" he exclaimed in a typically jovial fashion despite his unfortunate predicament, "It seems you've found me out." he added in playful retorted, a hint of embarrassment in his golden eyes. Flicking his tail a number of times in a final attempt to loosen the burs, he wrinkled his nose in dissatisfaction -- no change as one would have expected. Accepting this defeat, he dipped his head gratefully towards the other cat, proceeding to nod, "I'd appreciate that, It seems I'm the helpless victim to these evil sticky plants -- My one true weakness." the large tom replied, his tone bearing a joking nature, but no less thankful for the aid. However, catching the Medicine Cat's gaze, Ashcloud looked upward, attempting to see what was earning such a look in vain, seeing little more than the sky above until he lifted his paw to give himself an embarrassed swipe, pad colliding with the bur. He was silent for a moment, looking almost perturbed for a moment before a goofy expression crossed his face. "Do you think this is a good look for me?" he finally mewed jokingly.

Silverfern chuckled, "Well, it doesn't really match your personality. I think they would be a MUCH better fit for Ashwing! You know," he paused, "because she's prickly." Silverfern looked up thoughtfully to the ceiling of the cave, regretting that comment and hoping the Deputy would never find out about it. A droplet of condensation fell and landed on his nose, making him jump back. Embarrassed, he shook his muzzle dry and said, "Alright, let's get you cleaned up." He began walking towards the medicine den, quickly looking over his shoulder to make sure the gray Warrior was following. He stopped at the entrance, letting Ashcloud enter first, before he too pushed through the woven barrier. "They are EVERYWHERE on you." he mewed. "Wait over by that wall while I go get the moss." He motioned with his tail towards the far wall of the den before heading into the depths of the conjoined herb room. Moments later, Silverfern emerged holding a small bundle of moss in his mouth. He stepped over towards his clan mate and dropped the moss at his paws. The putrid stench of mouse bile filled the den and both cats looked utterly disgusted. "Lay down and hold still while I press this on the burs." Silverfern uttered. He picked up the moss with slight hesitation and began patting the seeds with it. After what seemed like moons, Silverfern finally finished and turned around to take the moss back to the herb room. Not long after, he returned holding a long purple plant in his jaws. "Do me a favor, roll in this so you don't smell like mouse bile for the next six moons. It's just lavender. Usually I use it to hide the stench of death, but it should work for this too." he stated, only half jokingly.

Unable to contain his unprepared amusement, a snort-like sound of laughter escaped the the large tom. "I wouldn't tell her that, or you might be the one needing a Medicine Cat." Ashcloud replied with that playful tone, further amusement glinting in his eyes at the sight of Silverfern's reaction to being the victim of a water droplet. "Sounds like a plan, between burs and... wet..." he paused, getting to his feet, "It's simply too dangerous to be sitting out here." a purr of amusement escaping the tom. He promptly padded after the Medicine cat, all too pleased to hurry up and get these prickly things out of his fur, barely pausing at the den's entrance before pushing his way in. "Just don't ask how I ended up with them everywhere." The gray cat replied, a touch of embarrassment in his voice as as he made his way over to the wall and sat down, patiently despite the less patient twitch of his ear. However, as the vile scent of mousebile permeated the air, Ashcloud's face twisted in disgust, recollection flashing through his eyes as if just now recalling how unpleasant this stuff was. He only hesitated a moment before obeying the cat and laying down, nestling his paws under his chest comfortably. He couldn't tell just how long he laid there as the smelly soaked moss was patted against the suddenly less awful sounding burs, but he was no less grateful when finally each seed was finally removed and his coat was back to it's former glory. Well kind of, that scent sure did linger, and he dreaded the moment he sat down to clean himself up would spell disaster for his tongue. As Silverfern padded off with the moss, the warrior got to his paws once more, giving himself a good shake in satisfaction. Right as rain! His ears perked, however, as the other tom returned, this time with a much less foul smelling herb thankfully. "Gladly, I think I'd rather smell like death." Ashcloud replied with a purr of amusement, all to happy to flop onto his back and roll in the pleasant smelling lavender, "I wouldn't mind some of this stuck in my fur..!"

"Really?!" Sparrowpaw whipped his head around to Ashwing, his eyes wide in delight and joy. Be in the next battle? With his mentor and leader?! What a thought!
"That would be great! I almost wish there were other cats here to fight!" He paused. "...Almost."
-------
The elderly cat gave Cherrykit an uncomfortable look at the offer. It sure was nice of the young kit to offer help, but, Snowheart can't help feeling uneasy.
"No, that's quite alright, little one... I wouldn't want to burden a bright, young cat like yourself to help an old cat like me..." He let out another soft chuckle, swaying his tail left to right slowly.

For us to fight other cats, there have to be other cats for us to fight. Right now, the only cats I know of are from Moonclan, and I'm sure we're not fighting each other!" Graymoon joked.

Flamefrost tilted her head thoughtfully. "I'll hunt with you, if you want!" She suggested. "I've been out since dawn, and I might as well come back with a little bit of prey. I'm a little exhausted—but it was so worth it to see the sun rising." She closed her eyes with a purr, remembering the bright colors spilling over the horizon.
Ashwing leveled a serious gaze at Sparrowpaw, fighting the twist in her stomach at the prospect of an oncoming fight. He's just excited; any apprentice would be. "Don't worry," she replied. "You'll have plenty of battles to fight by the time you're a warrior. How are your battle skills?" She added, shifting the subject briskly. "Have you been practicing?"

RunePool nodded slightly and looked over at where the sun was in the sky. "I bet it was worth it. Sunrises are beautiful but I like sunsets myself." The breeze ruffled his fur as he spoke.

Cherrykit blinked up at Snowheart, and his tail drooped. "But I want to do something! I want to be an apprentice already," he mewed, kneading the ground in frustration. Why didn't kits get to do anything? They were just as big as new apprentices and he knew he'd do a great job at helping around the Clan! His tail lashed to the side. "Can I share with you at least?" he asked hopefully, eyes round.

Sparrowpaw didn't reply at first. He stared at her for a long while before slowly looking down, tail drooping slightly.
"Uh...a-admittedly, no. I was...doing other things." Things like sneaking out of camp at night to try and go as far as he can away from MoonClan. Though, with the freezing temperature, he never really got very far. He coughed nervously.
"B-but I promise I'll practice later today!" Sparrowpaw hastily said, looking at Ashwing anxiously.
-----
Snowheart purred softly in defeat. He just can't say 'no' to Cherrykit. He knows exactly what it's like to be an impatient young cat desperate to prove he can be useful to the Clan. He nodded lightly.
"Of course... It would be nice to have some company... That is, if you're okay with spending time with an old tom..." Snowheart let out an amused chuckle.

Graymoon sighed. "Sparrowpaw, you're not taking your apprenticeship seriously. You must keep practicing and listening to your mentor. She'll dole you a suitable punishment for this." She said, shaking her head at the apprentice. (By the way everyone. Significant improvements will be made this weekend so this clan will run more smoothly! There will be a better joining process, the rules will be better clarified and specified, all the characters and new people will be added, and more. Look forward to that soon )

Cherrykit squealed in delight, bouncing around like a far younger kit. "When I'm an apprentice, I'm going to catch you the tastiest fresh-kill in the entire territory," he boasted to the elder, excitedly flicking his tail side to side. One more moon, he reminded himself, then he would do everything he could to be the best apprentice ever. Mostly at fighting though.

Sparrowpaw's ears drooped at the mention of a punishment, feeling his fur bristling. Without thinking first, he opened his mouth and allowed the words to flow freely.
"Punishment?!" the young tom exclaimed in disbelief. "So what if I haven't been practicing enough? Surely that doesn't require punishing me!"
------
While Snowheart himself was delighted to see Cherrykit's enthusiasm, he also felt equally uncomfortable at the mention of catching him fresh-kill. He hesitated for but a moment, then gave a light-hearted purr.
"That's very thoughtful of you, Cherrykit... But I'm sure there are plenty of cats here who need that fresh-kill much more than I... Don't you think...?"

(Sorry for disappearing—we had an overnight trip for school and I couldn’t access a computer!)
Flamefrost smiled, tracing Runepool’s gaze toward the horizon, where she knew that bright swathes of color would stain the horizon in a matter of a few hours—maybe less. She never had been particularly good at keeping track of time. “Sunsets are pretty, too—though I love any time I get to sneak away and spend up here,” she admitted, dipping her head with slight bashfulness. She lifted her head after a moment, her gaze catching on a bird fluttering from a nearby tree. “Hey, do you want to go hunting?” She asked. . “Sparrowpaw!” Ashwing snapped, feeling her pelt grow hot with embarrassment. Great Starclan! Graymoon must think I’m a useless mentor. “Have a little respect when you talk to your leader,” she added, narrowing her eyes with disapproval. She squared her shoulders, drawing herself up a bit taller. “You’ll spend tomorrow in camp, helping it wherever you’re needed; I’m sure it will give you plenty of time to brush up your skills.”

RunePool nodded and let out a deep breath. "Hunting sounds delightful at the moment." He looked at the she-cat and the sun on her fur took his breath away for a moment. She had to have been one of the most beautiful she-cats he's ever laid eyes on.

The young tabby tom cast his eyes to the ground, feeling ashamed of how he acted and because of the punishment he just received. He deserved that, he knows that much. However, Sparrowpaw felt uneasy at Graymoon's question. 'Do you not want to serve your clan as best as you can?' Sparrowpaw couldn't bring himself to answer. Most likely because he doesn't have a clear answer for that.
Instead of giving Graymoon a response, he sighed. "Yes, Ashwing... I'm sorry for my behavior..." He quietly apologized, eyes still glued to the snowy floor.

(Awesome! I'll just reply to bumblingbee's last post, then :3) Ashwing stifled a snort, shaking her head with fond derision. Her amber eyes glowed. "Go ahead; I think we all have something to learn from the greatest hunter in Moonclan," she commented wryly. In truth, she had plenty of faith in her apprentice—perhaps even a bit more than he had in himself—and his first attempt of the day didn't matter much, anyway. Still, she offered, "I'll go around the other side and in case the mouse...does anything unpredicatable." The young she cat sented a mouse, she croched and slowly walked towards it then she jumped and killed it.

She poked her head out of the den and looked around camp with curious but shy eyes. Spiritpaw came back, sweating and out of breathe. She was shaking and looked like as if she was chased by some kind of large creature. Tears began to fall down her eyes as she tried not to think about what had happened just a while ago. She failed on getting the mouse. She began to tremble violently and the thought of disappointing others is.. just scary.

Hawkpaw's tail dropped at the sight of Spiritpaw's distress. The shy part of her brain told her to avoid the situation but the caring part of her heart said to go to her. She walked over to Spiritpaw. "Spiritpaw, what's wrong?" Hawkpaw asked, her mew concerned and soft.
