YES. XD I want that.
Yes, but it's a funny name so people can be like: *heavy sigh* "Yes, I'm... from... Pecksniffen..."
They could wear hats that looked like wolves in honor of the wolf-men that first created them? XD Or Wolfington could be an area of werewolves.
Oh my gosh. XD Hey, I'm cool with Pippin. Pippinville.

//Waves to the 12 voters.// Hi there! And me! I voted because I set it so only voters can see results meep. cx
We can call the city with the themepark... Legolas... because in the movies he was played by Orlando Bloom... and Orlando has theme parks... cx
Just kidding. Also lawyer werewolf. Looses case and howls. I like the idea of the hat thing though, maybe they just... like wolves. Or if we go with animals being just pets they were the first to tame wolves? Or, if not just pets, maybe the first men known to ally the intelligent wolves. cx
Pippinville sounds charming and goes right there, hand in hand, with Legolasland. cx

;-; There's interested people! Let's get this thing done. >=3 *starts montage music*
Perfect. XD I like how much thought we're putting into a theme park.
Most ferocious lawyer. XD People let him win so they don't have to hear him howl. Ooh, I like the idea of pet wolves. Like, everyone has a pet wolf because it's just kind of a cultural norm? Except for that one kid who is allergic to wolves. XD And they could totally be werewolves, too. Or, like, they have some kind of history thing saying that werewolves saved their town or something? So that's why they love wolves? And then later, if we introduce animals/fantasy things, werewolves could start popping up there. =3
Ah! I'm loving these names. XD

Yay. XD The theme park is very developed. Excepting the actual theme. That poor, poor allergic person. cx But that could work. Idk what I think about werewolves. But we can think it over. I have no idea what to suggest next... back to world and country name I guess?

We should make it pirate themed. XD
So just normal people, no werewolves? XD That works for me. Maybe if we add in talking animals in clothes, the wolf people could head there.
Yes. Names are important. XD Should we go with Victorian writer names for those?

Ok then first:
I think talking animals should be a go, I drew a cat in a bonnet the other day. cx Idk I just really liked Beatrix Potter as a kid and still love the art, it's very sweet and cute, but I don't really like generic furries (aka, zootopia fashion, it's ok but just eh...?). However we can come back to that later.
If we're going for Victorian writer names I can go and get a list of writers, who'd you have in mind? Also only British or like... any from the 1800s during Victoria's reign?
Also I'm still uncertain of werewolves/vampires/ect. My fantasy opinions are often conflicted (besides the obvious talking animals lol). So can we decide if those'll be allowed later?

Wait, so would they just be normal, like, talking pets? Or more sophisticated kind of human-y talking animals? o.O Because when I thinking talking animals, I think Zootopia. XD Like, how they stand, walk, etc.
I said anything from 1800s, but I don't know much about Victorian writers of the time. XD I'm sure I've read some of their stuff, so I can look around a bit and see if I recognize any favorites?
Yeah, that works. =3 We can get everything set up first!

Ooh! If we have, say, witches and magic and stuff, we could make the rp and later have a witch start experimenting and create some of those more standard creatures.

Well it depends? That's more like a fairy tale route, pretty much anything happens in those. cx I was thinking moire along the lines of these- see Reepicheep from Narnia and Beatrix Potter Illustrations. Oh and The Cat Returns also this from same film lol. With Zootopia, the animals are essentially half human- they have animal faces, but mannerisms and paws are pretty human looking. Whereas my idea was more animals who are humanized, can talk, stand upright and wear close, but retain animal anatomy for the most part, as well as some behavior as opposed to being totally civilized, ex, animals in zootopia are, at least I think, all vegetarian, whereas cats in reality probably die without nutrients from meat sadly- whereas my idea is that the animals probably have a Lion King like contract not the hunt in certain extras, ex, the waterhole, or in certain cities/alliances/nations don't allow it and and aaanndd I'm putting way too much thought into it. cx These are the typical animal characters I use in my fantasy story ideas, so it's usually hard to find rps that fit them like that unless it's Narnia based. Off the top of my head: Charles D¡ckens Beatrix Potter Mark Twain Edgar Allan Poe Anthony Trollope Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Louisa May Alcott Guy De Maupassant Alexander Dumas Oscar Wilde Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm Hans Christian Andersen Leo Tolstoy

Alright, that works for me. XD
Ooh! Alexander Dumas. XD I choose him. I did a whole project on one of his stories way back in high school. It was great because my presentation was set up like a dramatic play and I threw Starbursts at kids that did good acting.

On a completely unrelated note, can you help me choose a name between several? XD For something else, I want a name starting with E and just want opinions, I can post a list.
I think I've read, listen to on audio/watched a film on or related to all of those except Leo Tolstoy, though someday I'll read all the classics if I can lol. D:< All of them. There are too many though so probably not. cx
Speaking of him though I never finished the three musketeers as my mom spoiled the ending lol, not that I care as I... usually spoil every book for myself looking up character lists... it was good though and I'll listen to it while drawing someday again and hopefully actually finish afadgfghsrhwh.
Also you just threw Starbursts at them? XD That's like the opposite of throwing Tomatoes at bad actors I guess lol. Sounds like it was fun!
I call dibs on Guy De Maupassant because his name is entertaining to read even though I can't entirely pronounce it correctly. Now what do we do with them? We're using them for place names right. Just... as they are (ex, Dumas land lol) or altered (DUMASLANDIA //sparkles//)?

Post by Winona on Nov 6, 2017 11:37:02 GMT -5
Yeah, I can help you with a name thing. XD
I am not much of a classic reader, so all I recognize are Dumas and Beatrix Potter because Peter Rabbit. XD
Oh wait, I think I read The Three Musketeers, but I have no idea what happened or what it was about. XD
Yeah. XD To encourage the kids to act, I gave good actors candy. Luckily, I had a few friends that were there to get things rolling and after a kid got dragged across the ground and someone got slapped, the other students in my class played along. XD I think I got an A, too! XD Although I remember my teacher looking very disappointed in us.
Yes! =3 Uhh... maybe alter them a bit? XD Or leave them, because they all sound like place names well enough that they would be fine to leave... I think.

Well, it was about four Musketeers. cx
Also good, here are names.
Earl (Earle) Easton Edgar Edmund Elias Emerson Emil Errol Esmond
The teacher looking displeased was probably because one got dragged and the other slapped. cx
They do sound fine as they are I guess.

I did not read it well, obviously. XD
;-; I like a lot of those. Emerson, Esmond, Easton, and Elias are my favorites. XD If that helps?
Probably but oh well. XD It went well.
If you want to combine them with stuff, that's cool, too. =3

The Title is Three Musketeers but it's about four. That's how it is, because one isn't one when the story starts. cx Well I'm naming this guy if it helps (art credit goes to someone else but I did design him, closed species if you've seen them around the internet before)? Kinda liking Emerson and Easton now. cx I'm not certain, so let's do it case by case. XD

loziYes. Since there's only two of us right now lol. WinonaI know right. cx His name is now Easton. Thank you for you input. I like Dumasland Dumas as maybe a country's name if your claiming it as is. Maybe it could be called that because it's named after the royal family? Or just... because? Lol. cx

Can anyone fill me in on what we've planned so far?
|
|
|
Post by Deleted on Nov 11, 2017 21:43:11 GMT -5
lozi I can. c: - The rp has several plots going on in a big, almost open world, set in a fantasy earth-like place. - The starter plotline invloves characters going to a city being stranded as their train meets with some problem and they continue on foot. I Rain shall rp the train conductor and name him Samuel Pipenwig because I said so. There is also a murder mystery plot- possibly with actual mystery to it as only so many players know the killer, probably me as owner and whoever rps the murderer lol- which ties into the fact a bunch of the train characters are going to the city for the reading of a will of said murdered man. - The world is based off a fictionalized Victorian era which... isn't Victorian because there's no queen Victoria but... but fashion wise yes. Tech is mixed though and we'll work on that later? I just want it to be easy to follow without Historical accuracy becoming TOO much of a problem. - There will be talking animals as outlined here. Because I said so once again. I want a chicken oc I have and a cat character in a bonnet selling... muffins or something and going on epic journies! - We are naming countries and locations after famous Victorian authors and possibly stuff made up of real world, ex, a "Wolfington" was discussed. - We haven't decided if we'll be allowing fantasy creatures like vampires/werewolves yet. This is my fault because I have mixed views on those themes. No zombies though. Maybe ghosts. It isn't relevant to the current plot so we'll just set it aside for now. - However, things like unicorns and dragons are real, just... rare. - There is a themepark called Victoryland. Owned b the dead guy. Someone inherits it. We are trying to name the kingdom or landmark we'll be starting in and the world!

I like how all of those ideas are kind of random. XD Wolfington and Victoryland are my favorites. I cannot wait.
What do we need still? o.O Other than... like... all the stuff written out? XD Should we have a map that outlines the cities? And how many cities should we have?
|
|
|
Post by Deleted on Nov 15, 2017 15:52:32 GMT -5
I love maps. Yet we should have more certain names before we map. I think we need rules, everything written out and sounding less crazy lol, and maybe some final touches to the plot? Plus the world isn't named yet.
|
|
|
Post by Winona on Nov 15, 2017 21:21:04 GMT -5
Bah... rules are boring, but yeah. Definitely needed. o.e I think the plot is good...? Unless we want to specify how many people and stuff? XD >.> World name is hard...
