((Good morning!
I'm at lunch and FINALLY got around to eating lunch. Dx We were in one meeting that turned into two meetings that lasted almost three hours.
And I'd just like to say... I think it's funny that your twins are both making acquaintances with my brothers. XD And neither pairing will probably end well.))
Mason glanced at this kid that had just plopped down near him. He was trying to wrack his brain to remember who it was, but Mason didn't typically keep track of the guys in school. Especially not the underclassmen, so he found himself drawing a total blank on who the heck this kid was. He definitely wasn't a jock and by his attitude... it would appear that he was one of those rebels. In a lot of ways, Mason liked the rebellious kids. He had tried being a rebel, but it came with too much work and too little female interaction. So here he was, rocking a jock status. One that he needed to uphold above all else. "What do you want?" He asked, instantly on guard. There was no way this other kid just wanted a casual conversation.
-------
Drake was both surprised and pleased by Milo's response. All of his previous misgivings about Milo fell away and Drake's mind instantly went back to square one, aka: possible friendship! He was smiling, beaming even, as he hopped (it was more fun than simply walking, alright?!) similar to that of a rabbit (despite his fear of bunnies) towards the other students that were gathering. The coach called out, asking for people to volunteer as team captains and Drake jumped up and down, hand high up in the air. As usual, Drake was called as one team captain and he made his way to the front. His plan was to simply call Milo first, unless Milo somehow ended up as the other team captain.

OOC It is funny!
Also, Drake is adorable.
IC Jamie shrugged in response. "Nothin.' What, can't a guy just sit?" He asked, looking up from his phone and over at Mason. "Name's Jamie, by the way. I don't think I recognize you though, must be new, cuz' I know everybody in the school. Or at least recognize them. But you? Nothing. So, newbie, what's your name?" He asked, most definitely trying to get on his bad side.
-
That wouldn't happen. Milo was a good combination of a nerd and a loner. Him getting picked before all other options ran out wasn't something that happened. Of course, Milo blamed that on everyone else being mindlessly controlled government sheep. So, anyways, Milo had made his way to the back of the group, waiting for gym to end so he could just leave.

((I want to see both pairs somehow end up in the office or something. XD Just kidding... kind of...
Thanks. He's my favorite. XD))
Mason laughed at that. He could tell what Jamie was trying to do because he was most definitely recognizable, and it wasn't going to work on him this time. He was going to play it as cool as a cucumber. "I'm Mason, been here since last year. I usually only talk to the ladies, so that's probably why you don't recognize me." He replied with a casual shrug. Jamie had to have something up his sleeve.
--
(("Mindlessly controlled government sheep." XD I love it.))
The other team captain was picked, and Drake found it being his turn to pick a first team member. He paced. He tapped his chin. He took his time, tried to make it look like he was thinking really hard and then... Drake called out; "Milo!" much to the surprise of... well, nearly everyone. But none of those "everyones" mattered, and Drake stood up at the front, beaming.

OOC Let's make it happen. Shouldn't be hard with Jamie, he gets in trouble all the time. It's getting caught that might be hard with him.
He's just so cute and happy. I love him already.
IC Jamie squinted at him. "Mmmm, are you sure? No offense, but you don't seem like much of a ladies man, what, do you talk to them and get turned down? By now I'd think you'd stop trying," he told him, pocketing his phone again. He was trying to figure Mason out. Right now he wasn't impressed, but that might change as his little plan-which he was making up as he went along, played out.
-
Horror. Absolute horror washed over Milo when his name was called, and suddenly it clicked. The whole reason Drake had spoken to him, why he hadn't left him alone, and why he offered to 'protect' him during the game. Public Humiliation. That's what he was up to. Milo knew it. However he couldn't just fade away and disappear now. So, Milo shuffled on over to stand by Drake, looking around the gym anxiously. He should have been even more prepared.

((And I don't think it would be hard with Mason, either. I like to think the teachers are constantly watching him to see what he does wrong. XD Drake and Milo will be the difficult ones.
Thanks. I try. XD I needed something to offset Mason's jerkiness. I love Milo. XD I just... he's so cute.))
Mason chuckled at that. "Are you just jealous because I'm getting all the girls? I'll give you some tips, if you want." He replied, still trying to keep it cool. How dare this Jamie choose to insult his luck with the ladies. That was the one thing Mason was good at. "Right now I'm looking at the freshmen. Lot of cute girls, just not sure if they're worth it." Mason's play was to keep playing it like he didn't care, like a cool cucumber, and eventually, maybe this Jamie would go away.
--
Drake was excited, he thought that he had done good, and was most definitely beaming when Milo walked over. "Are you happy? I can protect you now and keep the balls from hitting you!" He was barely able to contain his excitement and kind of looked like he might just implode from the sheer joy that he felt in being able to do, what he thought, was a "public service."

OOC Yeah, it'll probably be harder to get Milo and Drake there.
Thanks! Milo's such a paranoid boy, but I love him.
IC Jamie crinkled his nose in disgust at the notion of him needing tips on how to get the ladies. For some reason, the idea of him being with anyone was really disturbing. "Look, I don't need any tips. 'Specially not from you. I doubt you have any good ones. Believe me, I'm not jealous," he said, shaking his head before moving on. "Did you say the freshmen? Aren't those girls a little young for you?" He questioned, mind instantly going to Amy. If anyone touched her, he was setting them on fire.
-
Milo stood there, awkwardly as he pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose. Eyeing the rest of the people there warily. He had been singled out, and at the beginning. He had to walk up by Drake while everyone watched. That was humiliating enough, but now they were aware of him. He was even more on their radar. Who knew what trouble this would cause? He looked back down, mumbling an answer to Drake, though it wasn't very coherent.

((Ooh, I have an idea about how to get Milo and Drake to the office! What if, like, while Drake is trying to "protect" Milo, they trip over each other or something and like Drake ends up busting his nose or something. So then the gym teacher thinks they got in a fight, and sends them to the office? XD Something like that.))
Mason could tell that he hit a soft point. He didn't know what kind of relationship Jamie had with one of the freshman girls, but it was enough. "Well I might not go all the way with a freshman, necessarily. But they're still fun to dump. It's so easy to get a freshman girl to fall for you." In all reality, Mason would never date or pursue a freshman. Even a sophomore, unless there was something extra special about them "Do you know any freshman girls you could hook me up with?"
--
Drake had no idea what Milo had said, but he chose to ignore it and continue picking his team, all the time happily hopping while he did so. After they were finished and started towards their separate sides, Drake said "Stay close to me, alright? I can help you get to the end of a game."

OOC That could work!
IC "The only freshman girl I know, wouldn't even look at a guy like you. She's got...hmm, what would you call it, class? Yah, class. So you really wouldn't have a chance anyways," Jamie said, looking down at his hand casually. He had to play this cool. Otherwise Mason might catch on that he wasn't. Amy was naive, he didn't want to give this guy any ideas.
-
"Alright," Milo agreed quietly, not about to argue. He was still certain this would lead to some sort of public humiliation. But at least if a ball was coming for him, he could duck behind Drake. Maybe now that he knew, that he was certain Drawk was up to something, he could avoid it actually happening. Honestly Milo would have preferred to not be on anyone's team. But at least he could make this work.

((That's about the best idea I can come up with. XD))
Mason smirked. "Is that so? I mean, I haven't met any freshman girls with class." Which was partially true. "You wanna make a bet? We can bet, like, five dollars on whether or not I can at least get her to give my number. And then keeping upping it to, like, date... kiss..." He stopped right there with a grin. Oh yes, Mason was enjoying this too much. "What do you think?"
--
Drake raised his hand for a "go team" high-five, but remembered Milo's problems with germs, so he dropped his hand back to his side. "Alright, go team!" He said aloud as the bell went off and the balls started flying. This was where Drake shined, bobbing and weaving between the balls.

IC Jamie frowned, shaking his head. "No. I'd prefer it if you just stayed away from her completely," he suggested, voice gruff as he glared at him. Of course of Jamie told Amy to say no, she would. Amy wasn't all that rebellious or even stubborn. She'd listen to him, but still. Jamie didn't want this stupid punk jock of a guy near his sister. He was actually at the edge of his seat by now, hands clenched tightly in fists.
-
Milo on the other hand, was not shining. Not even close. He was mostly trying to stay by Drake, ducking and hiding from balls and trying not to let out any unmanly screams. Though he doubted there was such a thing as a manly scream to begin with. Point being, Milo was really, really, really bad at dodgeball. Which became even more glaringly obvious the longer he was out there.

"Oh but come on. There's nothing fun in staying away." Mason might have been pushing his luck, well actually he was definitely pushing his luck, but man was this enjoyable. Maybe he would even find this girl and just say hello. Just to mess with Jamie further. "Just give me her name. I'll do the rest of the work. What's wrong? You look a bit worked up." This was what he got for trying to mess with Mason.
--
At first, Drake was aware of where Milo was and had kept them both say from dodging the balls, to catching them. However, one fateful ball came flying at him in such a way that Drake, who had forgotten about his charity to Milo, hopped backwards with all of the force that a boy his size could muster.

[ooc] i apologize, i poofed for a while. im back though! [rp] David nearly dozed off to sleep before he had heard the teacher mention a partner project, making him open his eyes and lift his head. He didn't always like partner or group projects, because he either got paired with someone he really didn't like, or everyone else paired up with their friends leaving him awkwardly standing there and unfortunately partner-less. He listened as the teacher said that they'd be able to choose their partner, so he looked around the room, trying to decide who he'd want to be with, before his eyes landed on Keisha. Out of all the people in their class, he disliked her the least.

OOC Ack, sorry for poofing!
IC Now, if Jamie had a bit better of an impulse control, or if he wasn't quite so hot tempered, maybe he would have acted better. However this was Jamie and good behavior wasn't exactly something he was known for. "You don't get her name, in fact, I'm not gonna tell you anything about her. Go find another girl. I'm not letting you anywhere near my sister," he snapped at him, glaring over at him.
-
Milo hadn't expected that, especially not since he was cowering behind Drake at the time. However as Drake hopped back and Milo realized a bit too late that he couldn't get out of the way, he let out a loud, surprised yelp as he fell to the floor. Which of course, he hated as the gym floor was extremely filthy and his hands were now all over it in an attempt to break his fall.

((Well welcome back! XD You haven't missed much.))
Keisha had absolutely no friends, both in this class and in general. So partner projects always disgusted her, and she often begged the teacher to let her do it by herself... which usually failed. However... She found herself looking over in David's direction. Well, it wasn't being alone, but he would do. "Uh, do you want to... uh... work together?" She asked awkwardly.
Mason leaned forward, steadily enjoying this more and more. "So it's your sister? Perfect. I just have to find a girl that's as you as you. Shouldn't be hard to do." Maybe there was something wrong with him if this was what he truly enjoyed, messing with people. Goodness, he was sick person. But oh well. It was so much fun. "And if she's as dumb as you, I bet I can get her by the end of the week."
Drake yelped as he tried to stop himself from falling and ended up tripping over Milo and falling to the ground. The fateful that caused all this then smacked him in the face, causing Drake to yelp in pain as a hand flew to his face. "Oh gosh," he groaned.

[ooc] nice, thanks! and yeah, i noticed when scrolling through. [rp] "Yeah, sure." David said, shrugging, looking back at the teacher and only have listening as he explained the project. One he was finished droning on and on about what they'd need to do, he nudged, or really, kicked his backpack out of the way, turning his desk around to face Keisha's. He had a vague idea on what to do, something about a slide show presentation, though he wasn't entirely sure.

IC That's when Jamie threw a punch. He wasn't afraid to resort to violence, definitely gotten into more than a few fights before, and yeah he let it slip that it was his sister, but Amy looked much more like Jonathan than she did, him, and it was mostly what Mason was saying that ticked him off. "Yeah right. She's way too smart to fall for you. She'd probably puke if you actually asked her out," he snapped.
-
Milo was currently, rubbing his nose. On the way down, he had accidentally whacked himself in the face, by what he assumed was secretly on purpose thanks to the universe always being against him. See, public humiliation and the universe fighting against him. Why didn't he just listen to his brain to begin with. "Owe," he grumbled as he began to get up. Luckily it wasn't bad. Once he felt a bit better, he sent Drake a glare.

Keisha's forte was English, so she was rather excited about this project... kind of. English projects were easy for her, but also in a lot ways, grudgingly boring work. She watched while David scooted his desk to face hers and then she flipped her notebook open to a clear sheet of paper. "Alright. So. PowerPoint, which we will more than likely have to -- sadly -- present." Going up in front of people was not her forte. Or even a minor interest of hers. Like many other kids, she greatly hated it. "So... any ideas?" She asked, tapping the end of her pencil against her notebook in thought. -- Mason laughed, probably a little bit of a weird response, when he got punched and he pressed a hand against his face. His nose hurt like nothing else and his laughter fell away, turning into a wince. But he tried to keep his calm collected cool. "Puke? Please. I don't need you to tell me that I'm a good looking guy." Mason now looked at him, face bruised from where Jamie had hit him. "And that little rat sister of yours. Ha. She'd be easy to get." He said as he stood up, stepping away from the picnic table. It would probably only be a matter of time before he a) got into a fight, or were caught by teachers and taken to the office. -- "I didn't mean to!" Drake said, a little bit cross given the boy's usually cheerful attitude. His voice sounded funny since he still had a hand over his nose. Well nothing appeared to be broken... or terribly bruised or injured, but man did his face hurt. "Am I bleeding? Is it bruised?" He asked and pulled his hand away from his face. It was around this time that the coach, who hadn't been paying attention at the moment, looked up to see the two boys lying on the ground with bruised faces. He turned away for one second... "Hey! Drake and, uh... Milo! Go to the office." He wasn't dealing with this potential lawsuit. Not again.

[rp] "None at all. Wait, are we gonna have to present this?" David asked, despite the fact that he definitely knew the answer to that question, though he was just hoping that he was wrong. He didn't hate presenting, it was just that he was really bad at speaking in front of a class, for he got flustered easily and used the word "uh" and paused a lot when talking.

IC Jamie was grumbling again. "The only rat here is you," he countered. Honestly, Jamie really should have handled this better. But he didn't, and he swung his fist at him again. By now he also might have very well been looking for a fight. He had wanted to provoke Mason, even if he had been the one provoked, he would still probably have gotten in a fight, regardless. However he was a little less controlled than he had originally hoped.
-
Milo got up and looked over at the gym teacher in dismay. "What? There! Why?" He asked, glancing back to Drake and quickly realizing it had looked like they had been in a fight. He frowned. The true plan was now revealed. Drake had obviously wanted to get him into trouble with the government school dictator. That's what he got from warming up to a sheep. After a moment of him just glaring, he adjusted his glasses and turned around to stalk off.

Oh boy, this was already off to a bad start. Keisha rolled her eyes and took a moment to find her inner peace before replying. "Yes, we need to present this. And I don't have any ideas, either, so this is kind of a predicament." She looked down at the blank sheet of paper, still tapping the tip of her pencil against the notebook before she leaned back in her chair with a heavy sigh. "We could just put some pictures of cats up there and hope for the best."
--
((I suck at fight scenes, just FYI. I don't understand. XD))
"If you believed that, would you really be fighting me?" Mason still managed to taunt as once against, he got hit with Jamie's fist. At this point, Mason figured why the heck not, and swung at Jamie as well. It had been seemingly forever since he had gotten into a fight and now, it felt wonderful. The high of fighting... it was almost better than the high he got from messing around with girls.
--
Drake took another moment to gather himself before he jumped up off the ground and took off after Milo. "Wait for me! Don't just walk to the office all alone! There's nothing fun in that!" He said, his cheerfulness returning almost full force. He soon was right next to Milo, not noticing that Milo was upset about this whole predicament. The way Drake saw it, he had protected Milo in the best way by completely removing him from that scary room. He was a hero!

IC Jamie was about to hit him again, when he heard someone approach and stopped, glancing back to see a teacher making his way over. Jamie swore under his breath. He rarely got caught, but there was no getting out of this one. Sadly. "Hey! Both of you, head to the school principal's office, right now," he ordered and Jamie cursed again, not arguing as he started to head off. Better get it over with now.
-
Milo was still frowning as he looked over at Drake. "Fun? We're going into the belly of the beast. There's absolutely no part that's fun," he argued as he swerved around again. "I shouldn't have begun to trust you. Public humiliation followed by this. No one, especially not someone popular, would ever just come and talk to me, that in itself was suspicious," he said, folding his arms.

"That's an amazing idea. I have a lot of pictures of my puppy, maybe that'll work too. Everyone loves cute animal pictures." David said, shrugging and sinking down in his chair, searching through his brain for any possible ideas on what they could do for the project. He had a few ideas, but all of them were just so stupid. Maybe they could do something on the safe side, like a poetry analysis.

Mason smiled at the teacher and headed off after Jamie. Ah, this was perfect. Now he could get out of classes for the rest of the day with a better reason than just "skipping." Mason didn't try to start a conversation with Jamie -- he just went into the principal's office, said "We got in a fight" and took his seat in the plush chairs to wait for whatever punishment they chose this time.
"I didn't mean for this to happen!" Drake cried in reply. He would have continued speaking, but then he grinned when he caught sight of Mason sitting in the office. "Hey! He got in trouble, too! Sweet! Mason!" Drake called as he hopped forward, not at all peeved at anyone or anything.
Keisha rolled her eyes... again. "We've got an A worthy project on our hands." She replied, the sarcasm rather evident on her voice. "But in all seriousness, I have very little idea on where to go with this." She groaned and leaned her head back, looking up at the ceiling as if it would rain down answers for her and this predicament. "I hate projects."

IC "Jamie," Milo said, blinking as he spotted his brother, who apparently was also there. "I thought you didn't get caught," he said as Jamie realized he was there, and instantly swerved to look at his twin, a look of surprise on his face.
"Milo. I thought you didn't get in trouble," Jamie countered, a smirk beginning to grow on his face. "Did you get into your first fight? Milo I'm so proud of you!" He said as he made his way over to Milo, hugging him. Which Milo accepted begrudgingly. He didn't like physical contact. Jamie was his twin though and didn't care that Milo didn't like it, so he got a pass that most anyone else would not.
After a moment, Milo pushed him off. "I didn't get into a fight. I was in gym and Drake-" he gestured over to Drake. "Tripped over me. The stupid teacher thought we got into a fight and sent us here," he explained and Jamie nodded in understanding. That made sense. Much more than Milo actually getting into a fight. That just didn't happen.

Drake waved his hand enthusiastically when Milo mentioned him. "Hi! I'm Drake! I didn't mean to trip, but I was trying real hard to not get hit." He shrugged and turned towards Mason, poking him in the nose which made Mason yelp and glare. "What did you do?" Drake asked.
"What do you think I did?!" Mason snapped, his voice nasally from his hand laying over his nose to protect it from the likes of Drake. "I got in a fight with that kid." He replied, gesturing towards Jamie. Drake's eyes widened as he looked back at Jamie.

((Good morning, everyone! ^.^
I'm at work. ;-; And the accounts... they're so messed up... ahh. Dx I need this roleplaying to keep me sane at the moment. XD))
Keisha lifted her head up and looked at him. "Poetry, huh? Sounds good to me. There's plenty of good poems and if we're lucky, we can ditch class and go to the library. To, you know, look up poems." And maybe a little bit of messing around. Keisha needed a fair amount of fun vs. schoolwork in her every day life. And by fun, she of course meant reading alone in a corner. She could spend days doing that and often did.

IC Jamie stuck his tongue out childishly at Mason, having gone back to hugging his brother, who let out a sigh and tried to shove him off. "What did you do?" Milo asked Jamie as he went to go sit down, having finally gotten Jamie off. It wasn't surprising that Jamie had gotten into a fight. What was surprising was that he got caught. Jamie usually didn't get caught.
"I did nothing wrong! I was defending our sister's honor!" Jamie explained dramatically as he slouched down into the seat next to Milo, legs sprawled out and hand on his chest. Maybe he should join theatre, he certainly had the acting skills for it. Eh, whose got the time? "Honestly though, you should get in a fight one day, Milo. The thrill is awesome. Plus it would give you a chance to teach those 'sheep' a lesson. Right?" He questioned.
Milo sighed, bowing his head. "Violence won't solve anything...unless it's an all out rebellion. But we aren't getting into that again right now."

He had never ditched class before, he was too afraid to get caught, but this technically wouldn't be ditching if he had gotten permission from a teacher, right? He shook the thought out of his head, deciding to not worry about it and just go along with it. "Should I go up and ask if we can go?"
