Nathaniel looked up at the sound of the other voice, and smiled warmly. He loved his title. It always made him happy to hear it spoken aloud. Was he a bit of an egotist, yes, yes he was. He was proud of his title, even if it was not always how he introduced himself. "And a good morning to you as well, Miss Jones." he pulled off his hat, and nodded to her in greeting. He may have been a pirate, but he liked to think of himself as a gentleman. His voice carried a tone of warmth in his greeting as well, not uncommon to when he addressed those in his crew. He did in fact care for most of them as it were.

Hana had managed to find a spot aboard The Flying Deceit that was relatively shady and quiet, something that did not happen often. The fairly young women tied another knot into the piece of rope that was draped over her outstretched legs, her fingers moving quickly as her eyes scanned the crew. Sure she was the first mate for the ship, but she could currently see the captain talking with one of the other crew members, and figured that there was no harm in practicing some of her other skills whilst there was a lull in the word. That was one of the advantages of being the first mate, Hana thought with a slight smile creasing her face as her fingers began to untie the series of knots she'd made, you didn't have to do all of the hard manual labour. That was one of the few things that she didn't miss about being the newest person aboard the ship, you got the hardest and messiest jobs passed off onto you. But hey, that was all just part of being a pirate, she figured, shrugging slightly to no one but herself.
Adrian tied off the rope, a small grunt escaping his rarely used vocal chords as he did so, ensuring it was secure before his gaze drifted out to the rolling waves. He'd been aboard The Pillager for a lot of years now, he considered, seen crew members come and go, but he'd never actually gotten bored of the life of a pirate, he figured, as he breathed in the salt air. Squinting at the horizon, he was pleased to see that there was currently no storms incoming, that was something he just didn't want to deal with. Turning, Adrian noticed Henry, the first-mate, more commonly referred to as 'Hal' by the crew. Adrian had no real interest in becoming first-mate or captain, he was happy to take orders from someone more experienced, or more willing - the case for Hal. He was a few years younger than Adrian, but the first mate had earned the respect of the older pirate, and so Adrian dipped his head slightly at the first mate as he began to slowly move to his next job.
Reece stared out at the approaching land. His crew would be welcoming the sight of the small town, he knew that much. Even Reece would have to admit that after their hard few months at sea, the short stop at the town to resupply the ship would be a welcome changed to the endless blue sea that had stretched out before them. Of course a pirates first love would always be the sea, and that would never change, but the constant sea air in his lungs had began to make Reece feel a little saltier than usual. No pun intended. And the squawking of the land birds had begun to grate on his nerves after following them for a day. Yes, the captain thought, the crew of The Killer's Ranger would most definitely be happy to get off the boat for a few days.
Kayleigh wandered the streets of the small town. The Tainted Fortune had docked for a short time to resupply their food and water, as well as recruit. The last storm had taken a few crew members and the already fairly scant crew could not do with much more loss. Although, Kayleigh was not in charge of recruiting, not today at least. Oh no, her curiosity had just gotten the better of her, and she was exploring. She knew that she probably shouldn't draw too much attention to herself, but the young pirate sometimes just couldn't help herself. Even as she walked past the little stall selling the shining lockets, Kayleigh could feel herself getting into trouble, but there was something about them that called to her, the way the metal gleamed in the sunlight, and as she kept looking, she noticed that there appeared to be necklaces made of pale bone and dark wood, different shapes carved from both. Now those were nice, and would hold much better at sea than a shiny locket. Oh yes, Kayleigh thought as she walked past the stand, she would have one of those before her ship left port.
Hemmingway prowled the streets. He'd gotten reports that pirates had docked, and was determined to drag them in, no matter their worth, he'd get every last one he possibly could.

Hal caught sight of one of the crew members, Adrian, dipping his head at him. Doing the same in response, Hal idly approached him, since he had ntohing better to do at this point.
Adrian was older than Hal by about six or seven years, and was one of the longer-standing crew members on the ship. Heck, he must have joined the crew when Hal was still a teenager. Well, to be fair, that was only four years ago so it wasn’t a major achievement.
“Hey, Adrian,” Hal greeted as he wandered over “How goes it?”
He idly tested knots and things while he spoke, makig sure the ship was secure and...well... ship-shape, as it were. He might as well make himself useful of there was nothing for him to do at that moment in time..

>> Shoot for the Stars || Corliss Everton Captain of The Pillager Many a rumor has been spread about Cor's beauty, but the one that circulates the most has to be about her hair. Her defining feature, her stunning auburn hair, is said to be as bright as the flames in the cities her crew pass by and as thick as seaweed along the murky ocean floor. Whether or not these rumors are true is entirely up to the individual, but Cor eats up the attention. Another stand out detail about her appearance is that she's tiny. Standing at only 5'2 (and 3 quarters), she is without a doubt the shortest member of her crew, save for the young runt that she took aboard a few weeks ago. She's a young Captain at 29, but has been doing her job for over 3 years now. She is lithe, but deceptively muscular and strong. Many a men have lost their lives simply because they took one look at her and became over confident. Her morals are extremely lose which allows for her to do pretty much whatever she wants. With high cheeks bones, a delicate nose, and vibrant green eyes, Cor is a stunner. A large scar across the bridge of her nose and all the way to her left ear interrupts the illusion however. Part of her left cheek is unable to move because of the wound, causing her to look more fierce and untamed than anything. Many more scars litter her skin and if you ask, she'll tell you the story behind every single one. Even the more private ones. Not one for modesty or privacy, Cor is extremely open with her crew. She is sharped tongued, sarcastic; she can swear with the best of them. Vain to a fault, Cor succumbs easily to flattery. But be warned. The Captain of The Pillager is an intelligent woman who knows how to use your words right back at you. She never forgets a face or insult, and while you might think you got off the hook... Cor will find a way to get you back. She truly respects her crew and what they do for her, and would fight to the death for their honor. The feeling is mutual between most of her crew though there will always be the few that mean to cause trouble. She never gives her trust out twice. 'Trick me once shame on you, trick me twice shame on me'. Right? Not much is known about Cor's past as that is the one thing she will not talk about. It is known by all however, that she killed, cheated, lied, and gambled her way into being Captain of The Pillager. Many choose to call her Death's Handmaiden because of how many people were killed either by her or because of her. Her crew is made up of the people who she either chose to respect and trust or that pledged loyalty to her early on in her career as a pirate. Cor will usually be seen in black trousers with some sort of loose fitting top and her sea boots so she can move easily. She wears a brown Captian's hat that is decorated with feathers and beads. She always carries her gold hilted Saber and silver hilted Cutlass with her on her hips.

Thoren looked out over the ocean, also spotting the approaching land, and he breathed out a soft sigh. He wasn't sure if it was one of relief or one of exhaust. Honestly, he would be okay staying at sea rather than on land. Perhaps it was just bias, as some of his worst memories were before he had taken to the sea. However he did feel a bit of relaxation running through his shoulders. One night he supposed, one night could be good. He could take a break from being the second in charge for one night. He pulled his dark hair back and out of his face, tying it into a lose pony-tail. Perhaps he would get a drink, and do some shopping for their next voyage. Find some provisions, or maybe he would find somewhere with a forge to repair the crew's weapons. He still enjoyed black smithing after all.

"How are you doing today?" Madeleine smiled at him, adjusting her stance to be more comfortable. So far she liked the captain. She'd been on the sea for a good portion of her life, and Nathaniel had been better than some of her previous captains.

(apologies, this past week has been really hectic for me with midterm coming up)
"I am doing well." Nathaniel answered with a pleasant smile "I was just thinking that we should head to port, before resupplying, and seeing if we could find another score worthy of our efforts." he smiled. He and his crew were considered the best of the best when it came to treasure hunting, so naturally Nathaniel had picked up on a trick or two for uncovering decent treasure scores. One was to study the lore of the sea, and the other was to coerce information from locals, or other Sea-Farers at pubs or other public places. He found the drink usually lead to others being more truthful than they otherwise would be. "How are you on this fine day, Miss Jones?"
(so, @lemontart , I had an Idea, I noticed that Hemingway and Nathaniel are the same age, and their descriptions are a bit similar (coincidence, I swear) and that Hemingway lost his brother to pirates, what if Nathaniel was his twin brother? it could add some good drama down the line.)

((So my life just got really hectic and I'll probably only be able to be on twice a week for a while. Just found out I have to find a new place to live by january))
"I'm doing quite well!" She liked the thought of docking for a bit. Finding a new adventure. She could feel the itch she got whenever things settled down starting up again. "Think you'll need me to do anything when we dock?" She had a constant need to do something.

(Whew! I've finally made my form!
Name: Aurora Mirren || Gender: Female || Age: 24
Appearance: Aurora has long, thick, brown hair, which she has to tie up to stop it from annoying her. She has blueish-grey eyes, which are slightly green around the pupil. Her skin is paleish-pink, and she has some freckles. She has a small patch of scar tissue on her left knee (From another person's perspective), but no other scars.
Personality: Aurora is a mysterious sort of person. She doesn't let on about things other than the subject at hand a lot, and doesn't enjoy small talk. In her opinion, small talk is meaningless, and just wastes time. She has a lot of bravery and spirit, and tends to charge into things without a plan. As a do-it-ask-questions-later sort of person, she can be extremely gullible at times, but if offered an opportunity without what she considers a reasonable amount of information, she will immediately turn it down. She has a strong motherly instinct, and if anything seems child-like and helpless enough, she will help it without question, even if said child-like and helpless thing turns out to be a grubby, mannerless orc. Aurora is extremely resourceful, and can use almost anything to Macgyver herself out of a sticky situation. She is brave and loyal to her friends - you can always trust her to keep a secret, and she treats other people's lives with as much care as if they were her own (Which is a lot of care - she has a very strong self-preservational instinct.). Despite being resourceful and streetwise, Aurora isn't very academically smart. She is extremely against bullies, and hates those who abuse other people, children, or animals, and will actively campaign and fight against said people. She can sometimes be unsure of her abilities, and tends not to engage in combat, if she can help it.
Likes: Fighting, animals, children, sensible people, the water. Dislikes: Small talk, pretentious people, un-streetwise people, animal abusers, child abusers, bullies, heights, the dark, frustrating situations, maths.
Here goes!)
