OOC: Wow I haven't heard that title in a long time... So basically this is just a jump in dragon rp set in medieval times, simple. If you want to rp a human that's fine. There are human villages and towns scattered around the place. The dragons and humans also live together peacefully and dragons can be pets and companions to the humans, but they aren't very common. As well as living with humans though there are of course the wild dragons. Btw this isn't a literate rp, and on average I write about five or so lines. Not sentences, lines. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Yes, there are poachers of dragons in the world, as well as people who capture, torture and illegally sell and enslave dragons.
-----
The world depicted is very similar to the world of Lord of the rings with only a few changes. There are elf's, dwarfs and all the other races, but they live a little more intermingled and they live with dragons mostly.
-----
There are also dragon cities, which are cities built more for the lifestyle of dragons. Like everywhere else, humans do live there, but unlike everywhere else there are more dragons then humans. Plus they're bigger for larger dragon a lot of the time too.
-----
The average size of a dragon is around the size of a normal human, at least in height. It is more likely that a dragon though would be smaller, but being larger isn't rare, just more uncommon.
-----
For royalty, there is a royal family for every race. Elf, dwarf, dragon and any others I'm forgetting right now.
IC: Karaekatori padded through the thick, green undergrowth of the forest, his eyes darting from side to side as he scanned the undergrowth. He was keeping an eye out for any sort of threat. He was a relatively large beast, about the size of an average wagon. His scales, all of them, were pitch black, with specks of white throughout them to look a lot like a night sky. The white specks also glowed, so at night he was nearly invisible apart from the moving specks and his bright green glowing eyes. Suddenly he heard a soft, quiet noise, but instead of reacting, it made him smile and spin his head around to see her waking up on his back. It was not a threat he heard, but a young dragon whom he'd taken great care of. She was his daughter of course. She was quite young, thus she was completely defenceless so he had to be her guardian as well as a father, but he didn't mind. She was, unlike her father, rather small. Only the size of a large dog, but she was, also unlike him, a rather beautiful dragon. She had bright red scales covering her, but she also had a blue pearlescent so when she sun shone apon her she looked like a bright shade of purple, which blended rather well with her sky blue eyes. As they padded out of the trees suddenly and into a clearing, Kar felt Redrahika had up his back until she was at his neck. "Can we stop? We've been walking forever!" She complained, rolling onto her back and letting her head fall over his side. Her voice was soft and sweet, Kar's however was no so, it was darker and had more of a boom to it. "We? I've been doing most of the walking," he pointed out with a smile, then nodded, making her bounce slightly. "fine," he gave in and stopped, lowering himself down to a crouch so she could get off.

OoC :: Okay, time to decide which dragons I'm actually going to use... Hmm... Question, wuold there be people illegally selling dragons or such and such? Something similar to that? Or like, bad people that weren't so much with the peace with dragons and all? If that makes any sense...

Um yeah that would work pretty well, and would lead to some good plots. Yeah there's be illegal selling of dragons and their skins, let's say that.

OoC :: Sweet. Okay.
IC :: A wince of hurt was heard from the apparent beast, though all Jack was was a simple dragon. Not even simple, small and weak and essentially worthless to buyers anyway. He disliked being held on the leash though and being tugged forward. The human leading him was not being gentle, it was actually quite painful. He was previously surprised as he smelled forest, unable to see it thanks to the blindfold over his eyes. Like he needed that anyways. He had no idea where the humans surrounding him were bringing him, but he was worried about a multitude of things that could possibly happen to the silver-scaled male.

IC: Kar went stiff as he heard a noise nearby. It sounded like a wince, but he really couldn't tell. Though what he could tell was that there seemed to be multiple sets of footsteps near. A growl slowly started rising in his throat and Red looked at him, her ears flattening against her head in slight worry. She then flattened her body to the ground and crawled to her father's side. Kar guessed the footsteps were human and that he hated. He knew dragons lived with humans in peace, but he never liked them. They were monsters where he came from and he would never trust them in his life. He let Red back on his shoulder and, fixing up the satchel at his side, he got up and growled louder.

IC :: "Shut up, shut up you idiots, there's something out there," the leader of the group hissed out. A buff, tall male, Jack still didn't quite meet the man's height. But at least he was close enough to the man's size. From what... he could guess at least. His ears perked up as he heard growling though, partially in fear and partially in hope. Jack heard the human brandish his sword, and several others follow in pursuit of his action, carefully moving towards the trees blocking whatever made the sound. The silver dragon could feel the person holding his leash tighter now, something was wrong and they weren't prepared for it.

IC: Kar heard the voices and the sword being brandished and he crouched down defensively. He could smell fear, but not from the humans, there was a dragon with them, and the fear seemed to be coming from it. His mind immediately went to the worst and he snarled. Of course they were poachers, or sellers more like. If they were poachers the dragon would probably be dead already. Perfect. He opened his mouth and a yellow light glowed at the back of his throat, but he didn't let any fire actually come out as it might injure the dragon itself. He didn't want to play saviour honestly, but if he killed them that meant there were less killers for him to worry about as they tried to settle down somewhere.

IC :: "S-Sir, you never spoke of us facing off against a wild dragon," one of the people whispered with wide eyes. The leader snarled in response and headed towards the yellow light of dragon fire angrily. However he was the only one who did so as the rest scattered quickly, not willing to fight a dragon from the forests.
Jack's ear flicked nervously as he heard the commotion, and he immediately tried to tug away from the person holding him in fear that the thing might attack him. He hadn't honestly met a wild dragon, but the way humans talked about them made them seem more frightening than those tamed. The tugging failed and he was brought stumbling to the ground instead by the person holding him.

IC: Kar looked over to where he heard the footsteps scatter and he finally saw them. There was only one man now with a sword, and the other was holding a dragon just a little bit bigger the Red on a leash. And it was blindfolded. So he was right, they were slavers. He laughed, a loud booming laugh. "Why your crew was very loyal," he said sarcastically and snarled again. He wasn't afraid of this human, because he was only that, a human. A stupid, useless human who disregards the beauty of dragons for a few lousy coins. It was sick. "Why don't you leave him to me and I wont kill you," he threatened. Just as he said that Red's little head poked out from above his head.

IC :: The male holding the dragon quickly dropped the leash with wide eyes, and upon seeing the members of the party left, the leader stared at the wild dragon with a fierce glare. "YOu- You think you're so tough? Huh? Well- I'll show you! I'll- I'll come back with an army- no, two armies- and have you be put down you- you beast!" He yelled into the air before quickly running.
Jack moved his head towards the sound of voice, surprised by the less strain on his neck now. And he still cowered, barely mumbling, "Please don't hurt me sir, please, please don't..." Jack made no move to remove the blindfold still, rather sticking with it on and moving backwards. He didn't smell just one scent of dragon, but apparently there was two in the area. It scared him just a little more.

OOC: Sorry!
IC: Kar opened his mouth and laughed at the man's words, but as the dragon spoke his face hardened and he looked at it. "Shut up and let me deal with this," he said sternly, but not harshly. He then looked back at the man and took a few steps forward. "Two armies? Two armies to put down one old dragon? My word you're more useless then I thought," he said with a slightly amused smile. He then whispered to his daughter, who then slipped off his back and hid behind him. He kept edging his way forward, snarling menacingly. He didn't want to kill the man, in fact he wouldn't now he thought about it. he didn't want his dear daughter to witness that. If she wasn't there however, the man would probably already be dead where he stood.

IC :: The man screamed and ran quickly, he wasn't going to risk dying. Ofc course he could eventually come back, kill the awful dragon there. Well, it wasn't as if it mattered, it was just an... an arrow to his pride. But, when he goes back to the others, he can tell them he slaughtered the dragons and left them to die! Of course, that's what he would do, so he ran.
It left Jack slightly confused on what was happening now.

OOC: And thus, there is the beginning of a plot.XD
IC: Kar shook his head in disappointment and watched as the man disappeared. However, as he was watching and listening to make sure there were no other threats, his daughter had snuck around him and crept up to the bound dragon. Carefully, she used her paw to take off the piece of cloth covering his eyes and she smiled at him. She'd never met another dragon before apart from her father. Literally no one else. From when she was born, they'd been travelling around the land, trying to find somewhere peaceful to stay. Every time they'd try to stay somewhere, something had gone wrong. She had seen other dragons, but only in the sky.

IC :: He jumped a little as the cloth was removed before looking around, he knew it was no use of course, for the person who did it... no. Not person. One of the other dragons. "H-Hello?" Jack said quietly taking a step back carefully, trying to pinpoint were the two were. The silver dragon guessed the dragon who had spoken to the humans was still in the same spot, he hadn't heard movement from him... but the second dragon, he couldn't pinpoint where they were. The thing about Jack, he was blind.

OOC: Oh? Blind huh? Also sorry for the spoof.
IC: Red's eyes widened when she sae that the dragon's eyes were milky and drifting like he couldn't focus on her. "I'm right here in front of you. Don't be scared, are you okay," she asked softly with a small frown. She guessed the dragon must be blind. She didn't guess it from his eyes, just by how he couldn't seem to see where she was. She suddenly felt a pang of pity for him. Did-did those men do this to him? Oh gosh she hoped not, that would break her innocent little heart.

OoC :: Yeah, he's a character from a book I'm in the process of making, slightly diverging from his book self simply with this universe instead and such. Plus... in the books, he's dead. And royalty. But also dead.
IC :: His claws dug into the ground lightly. Female, by the sound of her voice younger than the male who had spoken previously. At least with that he could tell she was in front of him. Oh god, a wild dragon- two wild dragons, he's what out here alone with two wild dragons! He started to try and flap his wings in a panic, he should of remembered them wrapping the to the sides of his body with rope! He panicked a bit, saying really quickly, and basically flattening to the ground. "Please, please don't hurt me- don't eat me- I can promise, I'll taste terrible, so it's really no use! And plus, I'm too small to be a proper meal! There- There's that!"

IC: Red frowned and let out and audible sound of pity for the dragon. Carefully she padded forward, and very gently gently went to put her paw on his head. She opened her mouth to speak but Kar beat her to it. "Oh shush, we're not going to eat you. Like you said, you're way to small and ski-""Dad!" Red cut him off angrily and Kar shrugged. "What? Its true," he sighed, shook his head and started over to them. "Look, we're not going to hurt you, we don't eat other dragons, " he explained and Red nodded, very gently putting her paw on his head. "You're safe, promise."

OoC :: Thanks, though the books themselves get a lot more complicated.
IC :: "Really? But I though wild dragons... Well, the keepers always said that they'd drop any misbehaving dragon out in the woods from a wild dragons to eat..." Jack said quietly, confused lifting his head. After a moment of realizing they weren't going to make any attempt like that, he let out a relieved sigh. So, at least his life was lengthened just a bit more. "Uh... Well... Aside from that, my name is Jack... What are your names?" He asked carefully. He hadn't met a wild dragons, he wasn't fully sure that they had names either. Or how they acted, or nothing much about them anyway.

IC: Kar snorted and shook his head. "Well your keepers are idiots," he said and Red gave him a glare, which was his signal to shut up. Honestly some dragons did eat others but most of them didn't. Red looked at Jack again and slowly started to untie the rest of him. "Jack? What a nice name-" Chase snorted but she ignored it. "Well, my name's Redrahika, but Red works. And my father's name is Karaekatori but call him Kar," she told the dragon gently.

IC :: "Oh? What do you my name is nice when both of yours sound way more amazing?" Jack said surprised. He pawed at the ground lightly, mostly to try and observe his own surroundings without the eyesight needed for it. He was glad he was standing in just one place, otherwise he would've made a fool out of himself likely and bumped into a tree. "But, uh, thank you... still... for rescuing me from them. I think they were going to dump me out here- which is kinda odd, I'd have thought they'd would've skinned me. Taken my scales away."

"Oh no, but you wouldn't have to correct anyone when they say it," she pointed out, though she'd never had to correct anyone, seeing as no one's ever said it. When he said that he'd thought they were going to skin him, Red's jaw dropped and she looked at him in shock. "What? Surely they wouldn't do that?" She exclaimed in horror. Why would anyone do that to a dragon. To anything actually. They were living, breathing things! With feelings and love and lives! Why would they do that to them?

IC :: "W-Well- I'm not exactly a dragon good for flying, nor fighting. I'm more like the runt of the last batch of dragons they have had, it's a surprise they kept me so long... And from what I hear them say, my scales are a precious, beautiful color... They skin useless dragons for armor and beauty purposes... One of the people from the batch I was apart of was skinned because his wing was broken off while they were testing us... He couldn't fly anymore so they put him down, skinned him.... the other dragons explained that the leader of the camp area we were at later wore the scales as a symbol of mightiness...." Jack explained... Did they really not know humans to do this? Where Jack grew up, it was common practice, those who succeeded as dragons lived to become apart of the armies. Some others were lucky, most were lucky as no wars were happening, and they became pets to much kinder people in farther place.

You've been alive for so long because you're royalty!
IC: Red had finished untying him, and brought her paws up to cover her mouth in shock. She looked over at her father as if asking for confirmation and with a sigh, he slowly nodded. Red felt sick, and she had to take deep breaths as she sat down. That was when Kar stepped forward, his expression was one of pity and his gaze had turned soft. He hadn't planned on telling Red about that stuff yet, she wasn't ready, but she knew now at least. "Yes, but that's a minority. Most people are fine with dragons, wild or not, you just need to be careful," he explained. Slowly he bent down and touched his nose to Jack, sniffing gently. "Are you hurt in any way?" He asked the dragon quietly.

IC :: Jack lightly shook his head, trying not to flinch at the touch. "No, I mean, my neck is a little sore, but that's what happens when I'm being tugged out into the forest and trying to be careful where I step at the same time.... I don't look hurt, right?" He asked a little worriedly. He was never sure if he was hurt or not, he didn't always smell the blood. Nor did he feel the pain of any scratches.

That would actually be a pretty cool plot twist.XD
IC: Kar blinked and raised his head again, scanning him with his gaze. He then shook his head. "you've got various cuts and bruises, but nothing major I can see," he then used his paw to gently raise his wings so he could examine them one by one. "You're wings seem to be okay too, but just to be sure, I'm going to take you two into town so we can get some medical supplies. If there are more of those slavers and poachers, we'll need it," he said and he got a surprised look from Red. They never went into any towns! Kar preferred not to of course, but before Red he used to live quite close to a town with other dragons. That was where they went for things they couldn't get from the land. That was where he got his satchel too.

OoC ::
It would be. Hence why he was just being abandoned in the forest instead, can't let people know they killed a royal dragon then, best pretend he didn't exist.
IC :: Jack nodded. He could imagine those, he couldn't exactly avoid the sharp branches out here anyways. Of course, Jack wouldn't expect many poachers or slavers to be in villages, well, not any that could do anything about them visiting a village at least. Then his blind eyes widened in realization. "I've never been to a town..." He lived in a camp area that specific humans lived solely for the purpose of raising dragons from birth, and not one of the good ones some older dragons had told him. He knew some of them had shown the other dragons pictures of a normal town, but Jack never really got... a good look at them, for obvious reasons.

IC: Kar blinked and nodded. "Well neither has Red, so this'll be a new thing for both of you," he said softly, before kneeling down and nodding to Red. She got what he father meant and she put a paw on his back. "Come on, I'll help you on my father's back, " she said gently and tried to lead him forward. He wouldn't have to walk and maybe bump into anything if he just sat on her father's back, plus he didn't mind really.

IC :: Jack followed her guidance slowly, carefully lifting his foot each step and putting it down slowly as to avoid any sudden thorns or such. "Do you normally travel on your father's back?" He asked quietly to Red. He was unaware dragons could carry other dragons, humans perhaps, but not dragons. He was relieved himself when he was situated on the back of Kar of course, but still, these dragons were so friendly, and they were nothing like what others had told him wild dragons to be like.

OOC: Me neither! I wonder if anyone at the village would recognise him? Even though he wasn't really born before he was stolen.
IC: Kar waited until they were fully secured before he got up and started toward where the village was. He knew there was one nearby simply because he had been there before, hundreds of years ago while he was still fairly young. To Jacks question, Red simply shrugged and made an 'eh' noise. "Well, I usually walk but my legs are too small to keep up, so when I get tired he just carries me," she explained to him, then had a thought and tilted her head slightly. "Hey, how old are you?" She asked curiously.

OoC :: Hmm, who knows? The only thing I could think of hinting to him being royal would be the two gold scales under his eyes, but normally that'd go unnoticed since they're small. But he does have siblings that would be looking for him or his egg. But currently, I doubt anyone would recognize him.
IC :: "Uh, erm... how old I am? I don't completely know... Uh, awhile? Maybe. I know I've been alive for several years so far, but I don't know the exact amount of time I was there at the camp, where I was born..." Jack said with a small frown. He knew he wasn't that old, but it wasn't like they had celebrated birthdays or reminder how many years any of them had been alive. He thought the olders ones started to keep track after a certain time, but none of them really knew their ages.
