Octavia rolled her eyes at Finn and lightly elbowed him in the arm, "C'mon Finn don't be breaking hearts on the first day" She teased. After she had spoke her attention was drawn to the voice that had called out to them and as she stood for a moment trying to see who it was a wide smile appeared on her features as she waved, "Hey ther, Allina!"

Finn rolled is eyes at Octavia but chuckled, she was right, he probably was breaking hearts already. Oh well. "Every single freshman and sophomore girl probably!" he laughed as he adjusted his shirt aimlessly. "C'mon, I'm hot, I know, but what about you guys?! Any summer flings the King needs to know about?" he asked rather sarcastically just to turn the heat onto somebody else for the fun of it.

Skylar would have loved to spend her first day back at Lakeland on the beach behind the dorms, gazing out over the ocean. It was so much more peaceful there, a place where nobody was gossipping or trying to get her attention for some reason or another. There, she could be alone for a while.
But unfortunately, the absence of the Sea Queen on the first day of school would raise a few eyebrows. People expected her to be there with her Court, gossiping about everyone else's summers and terrorizing Freshmen (not that she wanted to. She'd been a freshman once). So, with a sigh, she dragged herself up the path back to the courtyard, arranging her features into the arrogant smirk that people had come to expect from her.
She found Allina exactly where she expected her best friend to be, with Finn and Octavia. She hurried to join them, somehow managing to look good in the torn jeans and faded pink hoodie that were really all that her single mother could afford
''I don't remember hearing anything about a welcome party,'' she greeted her friends, grinning widely. ''It's such a pleasant surprise!''

Skylar hugged Allina back, feeling refreshed by her friend's touch. When she pulled away, she was smiling. ''You act like you thought I wouldn't come,'' she laughed. Of course, Allina had known perfectly well that she would arrive in the end. Tossing her long fiery hair over her shoulder, she turned to smile at the others. ''It's safe to assume you two had perfect summers, of course; at the very least, neither of you seem to have anything to complain about.'' She winked, her eyes lingering on Finn for just a second before she looked away breezily, turning to answer Allina's latest question. ''Of course I'd love to get moved in. I have most of my things up there already, but I still need to unpack.''

Is it just move-in day as far as the rp is concerned?)

Finn more or less stood quietly for once in his life, probably something that the other girls around him would find somewhat uncharacteristic. Truth be told, he wasn't really paying attention since he was letting his mind wander. He also just assumed that they were having some type of frilly, girl-talk or whatever you want to call it, something that he was perfectly okay with ignoring. However, he did eventually tune back in and that was when he heard Allina say something about her stuff still being in Xander's car, "Well, I'm all moved in and unpacked so let me know if you need a real man's help." he chuckled with a smug smile.

Skylar laughed, smirking up at Finn. "Better not let Xander hear you say that," she joked lightly, glancing back over at Allina again. "Oh, same as always; we don't actually start playing games for another two weeks or so." She nudged her friend. "You and I need to do something before then. Octavvy can come too; we can make it a girls' night and get our hair done or something. Heaven knows I need it." She gave a giggle as her eyes flashed back up to Finn. "Breaking hearts already, Finn? Why, the school year hasn't even started yet!"

Octavia happily smiled as the group continued to chatter and catch up with one another. She was happy that the first day was going smoothly and began to plan out how the year would be for her in her head u til the mention of her name pulled her out of her thoughts, "Hm? Oh that would be amazing Skylar! It would sweet to hang out once again" Octavia happily agreed. Although she wasn't as close to the Sea Queen as much as Allina was she was still a nice friend of Skylar and offered her assistance whenever needed.
