Roleplay Rules
I. Follow all forum and ghost rules ;; any such major disobedience of these rules can and will get the roleplay deleted. We don’t want that, so please keep everything along the rules set for the forums. We have members of all ages on this site, so we must keep it appropriate for everyone with the guidelines set by moderators. II. Three strikes, you’re out ;; this is the respect, courtesy, and appropriateness rule. Please be appropriate in and out of roleplay, be respectful and kind. Any form of bullying against other members will not be tolerated. If any one reports something, or it is visible someone is being rude, you’ll be warned. After three times, you’ll be ask to leave. III. Power-play, god-modding, spot-lighting, the sue spiel ;; you probably all know this one by now. We all have our little moments we want our characters to have, we all want our character to have the valley girl tan and perfect smile. However, that will not be tolerated; characters will be monitored as you join, anything felt might be a problem will be pointed out. If it continues in roleplay, then we’ll ask you to change it, or stop. IV. The literacy rule ;; literacy is defined as being grammar and punctuation, however you must be able to do it in paragraph quality essentially. There won’t be a line requirement (though at least five lines is ideal)—everyone has their days they can’t do a lot—but just try to make it a decent length post other people can reply too. V. Ugh, them kids ;; the rule about characters. Just try not to over-populate a roleplay with one gender and try to keep the ratio balanced. If you make one character—a girl—fine. If there is a boy-girl ratio of 2:1 and you want your second character to be a girl, just ask and we’ll see. VI. Ode to activity ;; just be active, come in every once and a while and definitely continue to roleplay. You may not have any muse some days, that’s okay. Lurk, chat, use a different character. Just let me or other members know you’re still interested in the roleplay, or you are leaving for good or temporary, or you will be Nick Fury assembled. VII. Have fun ;; because we all joined this roleplay because it looked fun…right? Not because of my amazing good looks and waving chocolate in your face, begging you to join…uh yeah. Just have fun.

Lakeland Information
Lakeland Coast Academy is a large school that accommodates for many students of many particular interests. The school itself is a large, neatly painted white brick building with neatly cleaned windows, and a well-tended front lawn of green grass and indigenous Florida flowers. The school is lined with teal-colored lockers on the first, second, and third floor, white walls, and a linoleum floor that is tinted a murky pink-like color. A large entrance has the mascot on the floor, the sharks, proudly proclaiming and welcoming you to Lakeland Coast Academy with it’s bearing teeth and vicious look. From there you’ll find four levels of the school: The bottom level (or basement) hosts the auditorium, and other sorts of extracurricular activities. Such as the news room, the art rooms, the music rooms for band and chorus a-like, an empty classroom for drama kids, also the pool for the swim team and a staircase connected to the locker rooms on the first floor. The first floor hosts the office where students may pick up confiscated items, talk to Headmistress Wellman, or the counselors. It is also where parents and guardians may pick their child up if there is need for immediate withdrawal, or a family crisis that requires them to leave school for a few days. Also on the first floor is the large cafeteria, split into two halves; teachers do not care for what half the students eat from, however, the cliques do. Just know that one half is for the popular kids, and the other for the…not so popular. Also there is the many gyms, the large gym, the smaller gyms, excise gyms, and wrestling room. The lockers connect to the bottom floor, particularly the pool. Also some classrooms are here, mainly home education, and those that which don’t have a designated “floor” to be on. Finally, the second and third floor offers no special areas for students, except for club classrooms hosted by teachers, computer labs (some Mac and some PC) that students may facilitate for writing papers if they do not own a computer of their own in the dorm, or places for them to meet. The second floor is more designed for the english and history classrooms, rooms with desks. The fourth floor is where the science labs are located, and most math classrooms. The roof is accessible on some days, the gardening club has a lovely garden up there that grows flowers in hanging pots and the many troughs laying about. Upperclassmen are allowed to access the room during lunch and free periods so long as they don’t cause trouble or disturb any other students. The lot which Lakeland Coast Academy houses on is large, just off of the gym and out the side doors is the football field, baseball field, and smaller fields for soccer and other outdoor sports to be played. Students, so long as they aren’t disturbing practices, may use these open fields for their own activities like frisbee and un-hosted games of soccer or kickball. The large football stadium is guarded by a chain-link fence. The dorms are just on the edge of the ocean, a beautiful view. Each building is for the separate gender, standing about five floors high. Each floor has a small common area furnished with tables, a television, and couches. The first floor is where an adult or students sit and monitor the comings and goings throughout the night and weekend, they are generally also in charge of managing a floor. But also students may garnish them how they please, so long as it is appropriate. The buildings stand a distance away from each other, with a small courtyard and fountain between the buildings. One path leads to the school, and another to a small beach students may access. Lakeland Town
Of course, there is plenty to do at school. Since students live at Lakeland Coast 24/7, the hours of the school doors being open is extended to nine pm. However, that does not mean the students have to stay on campus during the weekends. Dorm staff will administer a sign-in and sign-out sheet, students are allowed to sign-out as early as 4 PM on Fridays, and 9 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. Students must return and sign-in by 9 PM on these days, with the exception of 6 PM on Sunday. Once signed out, students may walk or drive to Lakeland town that which the academy is located just off of.
At Lakeland Coast there are commercial stores and restaurants to be explored, such as McDonalds, Dollar General, Applebee’s, Denny’s, Starbucks, and other places to get food. Walmart is a bit on the edge of the other side of Lakeland, however, it is still easily able to be walked too. Lakeland offers a small mall for students to buy clothes and other such things at the outlets offered there. Otherwise, anything else in Lakeland is locally-owned. Crossroads Diner, Gale’s Coffee House, the thrift shop, Second-Hand Books, many of which the students can find located in the center of town.
Besides the residential areas, there are parks and beaches throughout Lakeland, all which students may access on their weekends off.

Top Tier
Those at the top. The top dogs of the school, they are the most popular of the school. Many guys and gals envy them, because they abuse power, or because they want to be like them. Who knows the thoughts of other students towards them—however, these beautiful people are monsters. Even is they look pretty, their personalities are ugly—mess with one of them, you might just get the entire pack of them on you. And once they step in to ruin your reputation, it’s all over. Sea King [ male - - one ] He’s the king of Lakeland campus, to simply put it. Known for many of the ladies being wrapped around his finger, and the victory that comes with. Of course, he doesn’t just go after anyone; it’s only the hottest of the hotties that he notices, while the rest fall at his feet. He is the star athlete, thinks himself the richest and most prosperous of the boys, and receiver of many looks when he gets away with things others don’t. Oh but be careful with the king, he can get a tad edgy when you disturb his pecking order. { Finnegan Scott - - - 12 Friendly && Cocky && Manipulative } Merprince [ male - - one ] Not as hot as the king, but dang son; he definitely deserves the title of being the prince of the sea. As the best friend to the king, what else do you expect from him? Just as bad as his friend—if not worst with the power at his finger tips—he plays the ladies. Maybe it might be a lowly student, or the hotties of the bunch. Who knows, but don’t get lost by his alluring eyes and enchanting song. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Ocean Queen [ female - - one ] The queen bee, let’s talk about her since she loves talking about others just as much. This girl is beautiful, but don’t let that get to your brain first. She’s a terror, a nightmare, the monster lurking in the depths of the ocean—to say the least. Ruthless with the others with the power to ruin reputation, and flirty with the men—and just as easily jealous. With a tap of her thumbs, your life could be ruined by her hand. { Skylar Brennan - - - 11 Brilliant && Guarded && Cruel } Merprincess [ female - - one ] Not another pretty face, but too bad she is. As the best friend of the queen of the sea, she is always glued to her hip and talking the latest gossip with her. She might not be as intimidating as her best friend, but this girl sure does have some power with the men, and those ladies in line and in hopes of getting to the top. { Allina Cross - - - 11 Personable && Driven && Dependable } Mermen
[ male - - three ] The three lads of sea, but don’t be fooled. They are just as much best friends to each other. And just as much influential towards the girls, only seeking the hottest of the hotties of the bunch—and never straying below to those dweebs and losers girls. But sometimes playing with their heartstrings are in order; and maybe a good following too. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Mermaids [ female - - three ] Ladies please, these trio of girls make the circle of the queen; keeping her company and talking the talk. They aren’t as influential, but they get the word around as fast as the currents. Many of them have their eyes on the their male counterparts, but they’ll settle for a athlete star, or some other hottie of the school if they can get their manicured hands on them. { Octavia Oleander - - - 11 Blunt && Balanced && Sociable } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait }

Middle Tier
They are well-liked by some, lustfully watched by others, but all of them are on middle ground. Sure, the athletes are probably the most liked of the bunch, the top dogs are even friends with some of them or dated them. And the wanna-bes are just tolerated because they do the bidding of those they envy to be like. However, the rest of them are just talented individuals that get recognized by other students for who they are, and they simply relish in the glory of being as such. Sirens [ female && male ] So close, and yet so far. They are the alluring lads and lasses who have their eyes set for the top by the time the school year is done, did anyone say successor of the queen?—who knows. What’s keeping them from the top is maybe they aren’t as close to the group of elites, or maybe they don’t have what it takes. However, they are trying to have that charm with the others, so keep on at it; your song will have an effect on somebody. { Scarlette Hunter - - - 12 Friendly && Intelligent && Loyal } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Great Whites [ female && male ] No school is great without their athletes. Sure, the top dogs make it, but these ladies and gentlemen are the teams. Sports sports sports, they participate in as many as possible and work hard to keep their GPA up for them. They dominate anything they can swim in, roll a ball on, bounce one on, have a net, etc. Anything that has to do with athletics, don’t feel bad if you can’t compare—they got here for a reason. { Xander Cross - - - 12 Determined && Stubborn && Observant } { Valentine ‘Lenny’ Felix - - - 11 Competitive && Free-Willed && Determined }
{ name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Dolphins [ female && male ] These kids enjoy the stage, whether it’s singing, or acting; or even being on there with an instrument in hand. No matter what, they are the dominating people of the music rooms, auditorium, or any place where they can sing, dance, and rehearse lines. You’ll always find one of these kids in the lead roles, or up in front on the television giving the announcements—they have no fear of judgment. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Rainbow Fish [ female && male ] With brilliant scales, they love to paint, draw, take photos—anything that has to do with their artistic talent. Often times these kids lead the school in decorations, working alongside their dramatic counterparts for school plays and musicals. You find a single one of these students not enjoying their time in the art room, working on their latest masterpiece. Or maybe they’ll be coordinating the colors for the school dance. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Clown Fish
[ female && male ] The pranksters. The jokers. The ones often times getting disciplinary actions on them because they muttered something under their breath, causing the entire room to erupt into giggles—and the teacher was not amused. They push the limits of the rules when it comes to class time and having fun, maybe they think this is all some sort of joke. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait }

Bottom Tier
Finally, those bottom-feeders. The normal kids who simply don’t have a status and make up most of the school aren’t unpopular, but their names just become a blur. Invite her, him, and her. It’s those nerds and losers who really aren’t in the crowd, yet they’re still stuck at the bottom simply because they are different. These folk are usually the ones who get picked on, their reputation is teetering in the popular students hands. This group simply survives their days as unknowns, or disliked. Squids [ female && male ] The nerds, they value their education and learning from the staff. Often times they get called the teachers pet, or called on to help with homework for some student with a radiant smile and authority over reputation. Whatever it is, they can do it if you let them put their intellect to the test. No matter, they stick to themselves—only conversing with one another for a hearty conversation on the latest nerd gossip. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Sea Turtles [ female && male ] The solitary figures who only become a group…rarely. These guys and gals tend to veer off on their own, the back of the class, the oddball at the end of the lunch table, never really talking to someone, and never wholly apart of the school. Sure, some people might know them by name, or their looks, or maybe they live with them. They just don’t get involved in social groups. Not worth the time or invite. { Michael Cielos - - - 11 Observant && Hot-Tempered && Sarcastic } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Whales [ female && male ] The older students who never got their place, those juniors and seniors who thrived on the bottom and never really having any describable talents. Look positively, they had so many that nobody knew where to put them! You could call them just normal, and not socially involved. Sure, their classmates know their names and invite them places. Some could be real social bugs, or not so social. They could range from party-goer, to staying indoors with a book. But they never stood out from the rest of the crowd. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Guppies [ female && male ] The little ones. The freshmen, and sophomores who just haven’t found their crowd right away. Sure, maybe it’ll come in later years—or by the end of the year. Maybe one day, little fishy, you’ll be right there at the top of the cliques and social hierarchy. Who knows, but for now you’re here. It’s not bad, they get bits of gossip and invites through a friend of a friend who knows a guy, and maybe they can make some connections through that. { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } Stingrays
[ female - - two && two - - male ] These guys, well, we’re not sure what flattened them out and brought them to the darkest depths. You never know what lurks about in the dark, and what does could give you a sting. They are here for a reason, maybe they got their reputation ruined by the queen, or did something nobody forgave. Some of them are aggressive, and bitter with contempt for popularity which brought them so low, while others more docile and humbled. They may try to return to the top—but fleeing as the larger waves come by. { Devessa Adair - - - 12 Stubborn && Loyal && Sassy } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait } { name - - - grade trait && trait && trait }
