So this will be an open rp for anyone. No forms to fill out or anything. Just follow the main forum rules all together. I would prefer to have at least a paragraph worth, but if you don't have the energy, don't force yourself, fam. Have fun! This will be about humans who have either been born with a supernatural power, or were experimented by scientists and given these powers. Make sure your powers are not too OP as to not intimidate anyone else. Like, no power to completely eradicate the entire planet? That's a start. Or to gain all the food in the entire world and eat it in a minute? That's also impossible. Think of feasible powers, such as empaths, element controllers, telepathic, telekinesis people, etc. If you need help on picking one, go to the link below. powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Supernatural_Powers_and_AbilitiesSo, shall we begin?
Mikel was sitting alone at a subway station stop, legs kicking out beneath him as he sat along the edge. The echos of the trains moving throughout the system continued to filter through to the subway entrance, causing Mikel to snort and continue to kick his legs further. He wasn't scared of the trains. Actually, he quite enjoyed them. It was when he could sense the anxiety and fear of others around him that really made him uneasy. He wasn't sure why, but he'd had this feeling for a while. He wasn't sure when it started to get worse, however. Possibly when he hit eighteen? Maybe even before that. He was nearly twenty now, going to college and ready to start a life. It was hard to start a life, when you could hardly control your own. Mikel was what others called an Empath. A very strong one, at that. So powerful that he'd get the same feelings and emotions of those around him, even some from a distance. It could be confusing to him at first, but if he was able to put up his barrier, he could hide it. But, if he hid it too long, his Insane would come out. Insane, what he liked to call the part of him that LIKED to be controlled by the people around him, that sucked in that energy like a vacuum and was ready to release hell on everything. But for now, he was calm, and serene. The trains stopped echoing for a moment, and the voices he'd been hearing had become silence. Everything was still. It was finally calm. He took a deep breath in. Finally. It was starting to get dark, usually when the subway station decided to close for the night. No one was around.

Jack walked the quiet subway station with his gray hoodie and black backpack, in that backpack was his supplies for his "street art". He had almost been caught last time but had escaped using his powers, though even if he was caught the punishments for high school delinquents weren't that bad. the reason he had used his powers for such things was simple, what would any irresponsible teenager with failing grades do with enhanced strength and reflexes? of course his strength wasn't anything out of the comic books his strength was more equivalent to a gym junkie rather than a comic book super hero. His reflex's helped him evade the grasp of pursing adults and had saved him more times than he could count. Jack pulled his backpack up trying not to look suspicious though he could not stop the sweat that was already dripping down his forehead.

(nah, it's all good! sorry, i ended up falling asleep haha. how are you?) A flowing sensation of anxiety immediately overwhelmed Mikel's senses, and it took him a good moment to realize the anxiety wasn't his. He had closed his eyes, enjoying the cool air around him and the quiet, but now he had them wide open, breathing quickly with the new feeling. He glanced around in panic. Was someone else around? And why were they anxious? And this was a strange feeling, like...like they were about to do something they weren't supposed to and they could get caught. Like paranoia. Mikel tensed up. He really wasn't the only one here, then. He stood up slowly, trying to figure out how far away these feelings were coming from. However, that wasn't something he could do, at least, not yet. He'd tried to, many times. Sometimes far off feelings felt dimer, more faint and faded, while closer people with those emotions were loud in his head. He hated walking down the sidewalk on a busy afternoon. He'd nearly passed out once from the overwhelming emotions, especially when he hadn't learned how to properly use his barrier. It was stressful. Mikel continued to look down the subway rails, trying to see if he could spot any shadows or traces of a person in the dark.

(No problem, i'm pretty tired myself because it's Tuesday)
Jack was brought to halt. he had just been hit with the feeling of being watched he pondered who could be watching him because he had double checked to make sure there was no cameras. while deep in thought he bumped into a police officer which caused his cans of spray paint to fall out of his half open backpack with a loud metal clanging sound, Jack gulped there was no talking himself out of this one. Thinking fast he pushed the police officer to the ground and started running as fast as his legs could take him though within a few seconds the pursuing officer was back on his feet and gaining on him. after descending down the staircase he ran towards the edge near the rails he started to lose his footing and suddenly Jack felt one of his feet slip in almost an instant he was sprawled out on the tracks with a subway train incoming.

Mikel had heard a lot of shouting, along with the fear and anger pulsing through him. He looked over in shock when footsteps grew closer, and he saw a boy, just a few years younger than him, come into view. He looked to be running away from something. What was he doing out this late, anyway? He noticed another figure coming towards them, but before he could warn the boy, the boy headed straight for the tracks. It was when the boy finally fell onto the subway tracks and he heard the echo of the train coming that he jumped into action. He nearly leapt from the edge of the rail and headed towards the boy as fast as he could. The bright lights of the train were coming fast, and it had already started to blow it's horn signaling it's arrival. "C'mon! Hurry!" Mikel said as he knelt down to the boy and placed hands over his shoulders, ready to push the boy up and away from the oncoming train.

thanks! c: here's a quick ol starter )
The entrance of the subway was grimy, covered in both old worn graffiti and dirt from the surface streets. Aiden scrunched up her nose as she hurried down the steps, earbuds shoved in her ears and hands in her hoodie pocket. The hood of her sweater was pulled up over her buzzcut-shaved head, casting harsh shadows over her sharp cheekbones and flat nose, and the flickerig lights of the underground station didn't help much to ease the effect on her appearance. Aiden wasn't the most approachable looking person. Plus, the girl was rather annoyed as she entered the seemingly empty subway. She was almost certain she got the times wrong for when the subway would come, and wasn't exactly fond about waiting.
Before she could comprehend what was happening, Aiden watched some guy fall into the train tracks, and another follow suit to try and save him. The girl stood stunned for a moment. Through her music, she could hear the train horn blast, the floor of the underground rumbling as the subway was soon to arrive. Before she could think, the girl ripped out her earbuds and ran for the tracks as well. They were going to get themselves killed! Aiden, on the other hand, knew she would survive. Hopefully. The girl could win in a knife fight, her skin was impenetrable. Impervious to scratches, cuts, bites, maybe even bullets - though, she had been too scared to find that out yet. She was also much stronger as well, stronger than a normal 19-year-old, at least. When it came to a fight, she won. Given her physique as well, behold; an unstoppable force. It wasn't all it was cracked up to be, though. Hits still definitely hurt, and she bruised so badly.
What the hell?! Oh my god, oh my god..! Aiden could see the lights of the subway as she ran to the edge, grabbing whoever was close enough for her to reach. Her fist closed around the back of Mikel's shirt, and she pulled as much as she could bear without tumbling onto the rails as well. "Hurry up, hurry up!"

(Tuesday is the worst day of the week, not only that but i had to type up my previous post a second time because the internet reset)
Jack nodded taking Mikel's hand and letting him lift Jack onto the ledge before the train flew past, he wanted to thank the man for saving him but was still too lost for breath to speak up. He could no longer see the police officer who must have gone to call for help or he had simply left him for dead. Jack hoped the man who saved him didn't ask him about his parents they were on a holiday and wouldn't be back for 2 days at least. they were rich and were never home meaning Jack was often left at home with little to do, which is why he would often go and tag building alone or with a few friends. and when he got bad grades he would often vandalize his teachers cars and he even once started a big fight between two classes, that ended in some major injuries.

Mikel felt the new pressure on the back of his shirt, and without question, let them help pull the boy out of the subway train's way, nearly getting hit in the process. He panted, trying to catch his breath, but he looked up at the new figure that stood nearby, the one that helped tug him up and the boy up. "Thank you, for helping me. He fell in, and I just couldn't leave him..." He coughed, then looked over to the boy, "What the hell is going on? Who was chasing you? You could've died if we hadn't been here, kid!" He didn't mean to sound so harsh, but the idea of not being here when that kid fell left a sour taste in his mouth and a bad feeling course through him. He was just glad he and the new woman beside them were there to have helped. Plus, that strange person chasing the boy seemed suspicious too. Was it a police officer? Seemed likely.

( I work at a dog sitting place, which is cool because dogs are adorable and i want to take them all home.)
Jack scowled at the flood of questions. "Why do you want to know?" he said narrowing his eyes and putting his hoodie back over his short but messy blond hair his blue eyes focused on the exit to see if the officer had come back for him. "Thanks for the help but i really have to go now" Jack said wanting a excuse to leave before anyone suspected him. Jack didn't want to rot in a holding cell while he waited for his parents, who knows what would happen if they did a DNA test and tested the blood, he would probably be exposed and spend the rest of his life as the governments test subject.

"Hey, wait," Mikel said, trying to stop the kid. He could sense it in his mind, the emotions tumbling over, one after another. This kid had something different about him, different than other people that Mikel could sense as he walked past them down the street, "Don't go. I'm just glad you didn't get killed. We're not trying to hurt you or anything, sorry. But, um, do you..." It was hard to ask anyone, let alone some stranger and someone younger than him, if they had these mystic powers too, or if they had something similar. Because Mikel could almost taste the emotion on his tongue, but he wasn't sure what it was. It was brand new. The paranoia in him had increased, and he was sure it was from the boy in front of them. He was hiding something.

The distant rumble of approaching trains drew an audible sigh of relief past bloodied lips, his breathing falling back into a much less harried rhythm at this auditory evidence of the established 'halfway point'. 'Not much further.' He encouraged, his mental voice ringing with false cheer. Despite his fatigue, Wysten's steps were even and his posture one of military perfection that he often fell back on when too tired to correct himself. He had slipped his hands into the pockets of his worn bomber jacket in order to appear at least remotely casual, as the steely glare that was his resting face didn't quite communicate an innocuous mien. It was just as well; he didn't quite feel up to engaging anyone with anything more than a twitch of acknowledgment after his most recent altercation.
The past week had been particularly trying and he was running dangerously close to empty. It was entirely likely that he was operating primarily on protein bars and a combination of stubborn will, his indelible sense of duty, and ire. Anger was an excellent motivator; especially since his battery packs had run out two days prior.
Mismatched eyes at half mast, Wysten allowed himself to lean against the entrance to the subway under the pretense of reading the street sign ahead of him. He had already been in a state of hyper-awareness/borderline paranoia, but now he finally indulged in the insistent compulsion to call upon his dormant reserves of energy and thoroughly scan his surroundings. Sight faded from his eyes- in a manner of speaking. He could no longer see physical objects, only perceive the energy they emitted. The soft crackle of power lines overhead. Steady rhythm of the few people out at such an hour. The distinct pings and hums of various types of technology. Thrums of birds and other animals and-
"What." It wasn't exactly a question, exhaled in something akin to wonder tinged with disbelief. Wysten snapped back into himself, straightening stiffly despite the sudden and painful reminders of his current physical state and the coppery tang that had yet to leave his tongue. He absently wiped drying blood from his mouth with the tattered edge of his sleeve, feeling the corners of his lips quirk upward despite himself.
Though he couldn't extract much information from them, he was certain that the energy signatures he'd brushed upon below were similar to his in some way. Or rather, similar in their own unique ways.
"Ha." Wysten exulted softly. Childish, but he couldn't quite manage more than that in the way of an expression of triumph at the moment. "Eat your heart out Lincoln."
The sheer burnished gold was already beginning to fade from his right eye, though the brightness remained. A distinct contrast to the stagnant steely gray of his left. His vision was still spotty in the way that there were literal patches of it missing, but Wysten didn't let this deter him from descending into the dimly lit subway station. Gloved fingers lightly skimming the handrails ensured he maintained his balance. As he drew closer to the actual station, the distant train's approach sounded more like continuous thunder perforated by the dissonant sound of its horn. He could glimpse three figures dangerously close to the tracks and experienced a brief stab of concern until he realized that they had pulled away from the dividing line and were now in a slightly safer position.
One of them stiffened and he slowed to a halt whilst still a significant distance away, suddenly aware of how he must appear to others in that moment. Though he'd managed to keep personal damage to a minimum and confine the bloodstains to his sleeve, Wysten was fairly certain he still looked like he'd been tousling in an alley. 'Yet another strike against me in Sylvi's 'Wysten Is An Idiot' book.' He mused. Again, he was waltzing in without even the bare bones of a plan. Sylvius would have been more suited for this.
'Hello! How are you? Nice weather we're having- So I've been tracking you for a while and-'
"Yes." He tilted his head back and ran a weary hand through windswept bronze locks. "That's going to go over well."

Jack slowed down hearing Mikel's plea. He listened to him though, for a second he thought that Mikel was about to ask if he has powers. No way, he can't have powers, not possible he thought. Jack had always assumed his powers were a genetic mutation that only he had and that he was a special superior human, the next step in human evolution. Though those thoughts were arrogant he believed them. he still wanted to confirm what Mikel was really asking just to be safe "What were you about to say? if you have a question just ask it."
(Ah yes it was a bit confusing)

(ahhh i really love Wysten he's so cute omg i mean... xD i really liked the story you wrote out for him too. really interesting! i think everyone's characters could really get along, they're all so cool, oml xD)
Mikel looked away, golden curly bangs falling over his right eye. He thought about what he could say to this kid, without running him off. It was a strange thing to ask, indeed. He let a hand trail up his arm, scratching at the surface, his own anxiety plaguing him. He cleared his throat, deciding what he was going to say. Well, here goes. "Do you, uh...are you different? Like, do you have different...abilities?" He nearly hit himself over that, "Sorry, that probably sounds weird, honestly. And creepy. Especially towards someone younger than me..." He sighed, letting a hand cover some of his face, "It's just that--" He stopped, another set of emotions trailing into his mind. They were new, not like the other two standing with him now. Another person in the tunnels, this late? And he could easily sense pain, a lot of pain. "I think there's someone else here..." He whispered suddenly, tensing up, the hairs along his arms and neck standing up. He wasn't sure this person was a threat, but it didn't matter. They still needed to be cautious.
(aaaand here's my new character ^^ she's another old rp favorite, besides Mikel, so let me add her in)
Oakley was sitting down on a swing at a local park, looking up at the stars that panned out above the trees in front of her. The park was surrounded by a trees, with a road to the main street on the left and a wide forest to her right. It may have scared her, just a little, but she didn't mind, really. Let's just say, she was 'in-tune' with nature, and at the moment, nature was not telling her anything bad or threatening. She was safe, for the moment, and she was calm. She liked that. School today had been stressful again, but when was it not? And she had assumed that, since she was about to graduate high school, it should be easier. But oh boy, was she wrong. All the exams, and the scheduled events, and let's not forget about the graduation itself and all the payments she had to make for it. Ugh, it was so expensive. She hoped she had enough. The thought continued to plague her mind. And not only that, but she was also starting to become more 'aware' of her abilities now that she was about to graduate. She wasn't sure why, but they seemed stronger, more powerful, and sometimes it was hard to control. Just yesterday, she'd nearly gotten caught at school when leaves continued to follow her through out the day, even managing to ONLY hit the window next to where she sat in class, causing some of the other students to give her curious eyes. And then, when she accidentally fell down on the sidewalk near the cafeteria, a younger male student had gone over to help her up and take her to the nurse for the bruising on her legs and the cuts along her arm and palms. However, after a few minutes and noticing they had suddenly disappeared, the boy just gave her a weird look and walked away. She knew he had some idea, but had decided not to say anything. She was grateful. You see, Oakley could not only control some plants and parts of nature, but for some reason, she could also heal. Not only herself, but also others. It was weak, and she had a problem with reaching the last layer of tissue and bone, but she could heal wounds. She wasn't sure what had happened when she was younger, only that she remembered her parents cutting her off from society at a young age because she liked to 'make flowers'. Or because she could 'kiss away people's boo-boos'. It wasn't normal. But she'd accepted it. Now, she was okay. Sitting down at a park, surrounded by the very element that you were born to belong with, it was relaxing. At least, for the moment, anyway.

i'll probably throw in another character as well so it isnt such a huge ol cluster down in the subways lmao )
Blood pumping from the momentary adrenaline she experience, Aiden pulled down her hood and let out a breath of air she didn't know she had been holding in. "You guys are crazy." Before, she was just ready to get home, taking the subway late at night, but they kind of just helped save someones life? She could barely process the two guys' conversation, something about...abilities? The girl stood up straight, but before Aiden could say a word in the conversation, her hairs stood on end. It wouldn't just be some coincidence for yet another person to appear down in the underground so late at night. If there were cops or anything, she wasn't sticking around for it. Cops already knew her face well enough.
"Okay, screw this, I'm out. I'll walk home. Don't jump into anymore subway tracks, kid."
Aiden immediately pulled her hoodie back up and headed for the stairs. She fiddled with the earbuds in her hoodie pocket, now tangled, annoyingly enough. The girl strode across the concrete platform, and barely made it another step before spotting Wysten only a few yards ahead of her. She cursed under her breath. She was anxious, had already been anxious given that she had to ride the subway so late to get home. Aiden wasn't scared of getting hurt, there was really no way she could, actually, but she had gotten into enough trouble for more than a lifetime. "'scuse me," Aiden mumbled, about to sidestep Wysten to get to the stairs.

Akili's icy blue eyes flashed open as she heard someone enter the park that she was currently in, granted she was up in a maple tree and had been listening to music and taking a nap simply because she was bored, but she didn't really like having another person around to bother her. Akili was a literal test tube baby, she was born an experiment and it really got on her nerves sometimes, the absence of other people and a family she could handle rather well, but the powers? Not so much. She didn't lose control or anything, she just couldn't shut them off and because of that she nearly always had a headache the size of mount Everest, which led to a highly annoyed eighteen-year-old girl. While she occasionally appreciated the super speed, enhanced physical abilities and the ability to manipulate ice and spark electricity, most of the time she wished it wasn't activated by reflex and that she could turn them off when she wasn't using them. Leaning over slightly, Akili peered down at the person who settled down on one of the benches, Great, well that goes my space. Akili gave a mental roll of the eyes before she flinched as her headache got worse. Apparently, luck hated her today, especially when she promptly fell out of the tree and into the bush below the large tree with a surprised shout.

Mikel was willing to tell the girl to stay put, that it may be dangerous as he wasn't sure who was around and if they were liable to hurt them, but he was still caught up in the other overwhelming emotions of the other three people in the subway. His barrier had shatter slightly from being shocked into moving when the boy had fell in front of the subway train, and now it was hard to pull it back together. It was starting to get noisy again inside his head. He could feel the anxiety, the fear, the pain, anger and sadness and something else all mingling together inside him. It was like he was so scared to move in fear of someone shooting at him, of someone killing him, but there was another part of him that wanted to punch something from the anger and then cry the pain away. Tears began to prickle in his eyes as he held his head, trying to massage his temple. "B-be careful," He was finally able to stutter out.
Oakley raised her head up quickly. She'd been thinking about all the times of her childhood that she could remember, of all the times her abilities had shown through and she'd gotten in trouble or teased because of them. She wondered now if the people at school would find it as strange if she was able to save someone. Nah, they'd probably still find her weird. However, the sound of something falling out of the trees ahead and landing in the bushes alerted her enough to stop swinging and try to see what it was. She stood up from the swing and headed towards the forest, grass growing just a bit taller after her every step. She cursed silently to herself. Not now, please. I think something is hurt over here. It sounded too big to be any kind of seed or leaf or branch. "Hello?" She asked, concerned. When she reached the bush, she nearly gasped at the site. There was a girl, probably around her age, and she was in the bush. Did she fall? "Are you okay?" She asked, moving forward, a tingling sensation moving into her palms. She remembered what that feeling was. She needed to heal this person.

Akili gave a snort and pushed herself into a sitting position, "I'm fine, just lost my balance." She then calmly brushed the twigs and leaves off her clothes and blond hair, her icy blue eyes slightly annoyed by how she fell out of the tree. "Darn it," she muttered under her breath, "my headphones are still up there." She looked up at the pair of white and black headphones hanging from the high branch she had been perched on a moment earlier. "Thanks for you concern," she said to Oakley as she stood up and briefly brushed off her jeans before she jumped and grabbed a hold of the lowest branch before she easily pulled herself up, some of the leaves from the branches that she climbed on fluttered down to the ground and blanketed the green bushes. "But I'm okay." She finished as she kept climbing to reach her headphones and backpack before she would probably take to subway back to her flat (apartment). Akili's blue jeans, light gray half sleeve hoodie, and white converse were very easy to see in contrast to the bright leaves and dark branches of the maple tree.
