For a moment, Rosa didn't say anything. Her countenance became blank, eyes slightly downcast, when before she had kept them at Wren's face. After a second she returned to making eye contact, though her posture was now slumped marginally. It could have appeared like she was dosing off, though of course she wasn't. Her mind had suddenly become distracted with other thoughts. "You watch movies with your family?" she asked, though her voice had taken on a different, more melancholic tone. "What movies do you watch?" She still kept a smile on her face, though there was the faintest hint of a frown on the corners of her lips. If she was aware of her abrupt change in mood, she did not show it.

Rosa chuckled at that, slowly returning back to her normal self. "I didn't take you for someone who likes superhero movies." she said. "Then again, they are pretty popular." She could see that Wren was beginning to open up a little, and wondered if it were best to stop or to keep him talking more. Maybe asking him a lot of questions would be good for him; so she continued. "What kinds of comedies do you like?", she asked. Her tone was still a little flat, but her eyes showed genuine interest in Wren's answers.

Wren played with his class ring on his finger, spinning it around in a nervous habit. His eyes and expression didn't show his nervousness, it being more subconscious more than anything else. "I really enjoy the Pitch Perfect movies...I love the arts. I can't sing, play instruments, or draw though." The blush on his cheeks deepened, realizing that he really wasn't good at much other than remembering things and testing well. Though those were traits that many people envy, he wished that there was something else he was good at. His life really was boring, consisting mainly of school, homework, and reading. Thursdays added movies, but that was about it. He had no friends to do anything else with and he was too scared to try anything on his own.

"I didn't like Pitch Perfect at first, until I heard the singing. That movie got me into Acapella." Rosa chuckled. Then she realized what Wren said after that, and she sat up straight. "You like art?" Her eyes widened; it was obvious that she was excited now. "Do you like visual art? Like painting, drawing, and sculpting? Oooh, and printmaking! Do you like that too?" her face glowed red, a blush that came with pure giddiness, the complete opposite of how she was a few moments ago.

"Good," Simon all but purred, clearly liking the name "darling" and being kissed on the forehead. Again, it was easy to make him happy, he just needed a little bit of affection (both physical and emotional) and he was good to go. He reached forward and grabbed the crutches from under Chicago, pulling on them slowly enough to give the guy some time to balance himself out. He then slipped his hands in, glad he didn't bring anything else to school today. "Agreed. I've decided that anything that happens in a gym is terrible. Besides winter drum line and guard, those are the best. Hey- you should come to some of the competitions, they're a lot of fun. A little scarring sometimes, but usually fun," he said eagerly, wincing slightly at the ache in his wrist but trying to ignore it. At least he had a day to rest it before his next exam. They made it out of the door, and Simon scowled slightly, it was still raining! He loved the rain, of course, but right now the freezing rain drops were coming down so hard he couldn't see five feet in front of him.

Rosa noticed that Wren was startled. She immediately leaned back a little. "Oh, I'm sorry!" she said, waving her hands frantically. "I'm being too much aren't I? I just got really excited...I'm sorry!" she was worried, afraid that her personality would scare him away. "I probably shouldn't be so loud."

His stomach twisted nervously at the thought of Chicago leaving for college next year. He felt bad about that, henwanted his boyfriend to move on, get away from this horrible place, but at the same time... he'd be left alone again. Even if he was able to go and live with his uncles, Chicago had been his point of sanity during this past school year- besides the months of avoidance, and they all knew how that went- and he didn't know what he'd do about that next year. What if Chicago just found another guy, a better guy, who was in a better place than Simon was? What if Chicago just forgot about him? He bit his lip anxiously at that thought, picking at a loose string before offering Chicago a soft smile at the umbrella, happy he'd been prepared as he looped their arms together and tried to look peppy and upbeat. He didn't need to know his doubts. "So have you put in any apps yet? Or what your majors gonna be?" He asked a little shyly as they walked. "And romance sounds good, as long as it's not one of those dumb ones where the guy dies in the end," he added, wrinkling his nose in distaste.

"Hm." Rosa let a moment of silence pass, studying the boy. He seemed nervous still, and she feared she may have messed all of this up by getting excited over art. So she tried to calm herself down as well before continuing. "I don't think you're a wimp," she said finally. "Reacting that way doesn't make you a wimp, it makes you normal. Anyone would react that way after meeting me!" she laughed, trying to make things light-hearted again. She often blamed herself when trying to cheer others up, even if she didn't believe it herself. It was easier that way.

Chicago wiped a couple drops of rain off of his glasses, then looked over at the other. Sitting in cars while it rained seemed to calm him because of the raindrops bein so close. He felt like a transcendentalist sometimes, always wanting to be close with nature. The thought made him smile slightly. "Alright. We could watch Dear John or The Notebook maybe? I haven't seen either so I don't know. I've just hear that they're good. Otherwise we could look some up. I've heard that you cry a lot during The Notebook so maybe not that one." Shrugging, the boy leaned over and got their faces close together, not locking their lips just yet. He just wanted to look at Simon's beautiful eyes for a moment. Finally, he leaned in further and pressed their lips together lightly, but with a bit of passion behind it. It was a scary thought, but Chicago really did think he loved the younger boy.
Wren shook his head and continued looking at the table. "No, it's not your fault. I'm a jumpy person in general." Slowly, he raised his head to look at Rosa. He could see the excitement still in her eyes a bit, but knew he had shaken the mood. "You sound really into art...so I assume you take a lot of classes in the course." The boy rubbed his nose slightly and looked back down at te table, unable to keep his gaze at anyone for very long. He always had to look away, or glance around while speaking. Direct gazes made him extremely uncomfortable as though he was staring at someone who didn't know it.

"Dear John it is then," Simon said with a chuckle, cleaning off his own glasses before turning his attentions back to Chicago. His breath hitched when he saw how close they were- practically kissing but he stayed there, taking that moment to appreciate the scene set out for them, and to study his boyfriends features. He felt those three words dancing on his tongue, but he held them there, not wanting to be the first and scare Chicago away with his feelings. Suddenly he was being kissed softly, and he returned the kiss, deepening it as they sat in the car.

Simon giggled as their glasses clashed, but he didn't take off his: he wanted to see Chicago. He wrapped his own arms the best he could around the other boy, cursing the arm rest in between them. "I..." Simon glanced up, hearing the word, curious as to what he was about to say. He had a feeling of what it was, the nervousness kind of gave it away, and a small smile broke out, even if he didn't say it out loud. He just wasn't ready yet, but clearly the feelings were there. Simon felt his entire body shiver when Chicagos lips ghosted over his neck, a small noise of pleasure emitted from the junior but he nodded to what Chicago said. "Hey, babe? I, too," he murmured, kissing him one more time, not wanting to say the words first but wanting him to know the feelings were mutual.

"'Course I did, I can tell you hats going through that pretty little head of yours," he said with a soft chuckle, smiling at his reaction. His attention turned to the rain- it looks he'd love he someone had turned on a shower out there and he grabbed his crutches, a determined look on his face as he opened the door. He got out a little awkwardly, and with some help and they made a dash to the door, laughter bubbling from his lips as they finally made it. It looked like they had just taken a shower, drenched from head to toe and he was laughing like a maniac because of it, unable to see because his glasses were drenched and he couldn't fix them because his clothing wasn't much better. "That was fun," Simon crowed, clearly wanting to do it again, leaning on his crutches, glad he hadn't slipped during their dash.

Rosa's eyes widened when Wren looked at her. It surprised her that the boy had actually made eye contact with her, even if it didn't last very long. If he can make eye contact with me, then that's a good sign! She wondered if he would do it again. "I don't mind that you're jumpy," Rosa said. "And yes, art classes fill up most of my day. It's pretty much the only subject I like besides Biology." She couldn't help but put on a huge grin. "I'm sorry- it's just really exciting to me!...Do you like to draw?" At this point, Rosa had completely forgotten about tutoring, and was now only interested in coaxing Wren out of his shell. She figured that it could help him in the long run.

Simon grinned, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and grabbed the soft pajamas with a free hand and tucked them into his arm pit. "Thank you- oh, I usually add a bit of cinnamon to mine," he told him before making his way to the bathroom. There he stripped of his soaking wet clothes and threw them in the hamper- he'd wash them later. He then changed into the blue and black pajamas, laughing at the bottoms- on one side it was just a little too short (you could see just above his ankle) and the other was too long, part of it just laying there while he sat. He shook his head, amused before pulling on the long sleeved black pajama shirt, shivering for a moment now that he was warm. He then got himself up and headed back into the kitchen, eager for the warm drink. "Is it done yet?" He asked eagerly, peering at the cups impatiently.
