It's a fan theory, but it would make a lot of sense in canon imo

(I've heard from general consensus on RWBY Amino that Ironwood is the Tin Man which would make sense with one of Qrow's lines regarding Ironwood (it was something like; "Sometimes I wonder if he even has a heart") and his general motif of being both the cyborg guy (literally a tin man) and the emotionless realist.)

I'm editing the front page now!
Also, we're in need of another character, to round out what used to be team MSSK! If possible, I'd like the new person's name to have an M, P, or R, just to make things easier
That would give us either Team MSSK, Team SPKS (Sparks) or Team SKRS (Scars)

//Keeping him human since well LOL> Michalis Von Tellius
> 18 years old
> Male
> Michalis is a leanly built young man standing at about 6'4, and weighing about 215 lbs. His entire body was built around wanting to be one of the best fighters alive. Judging by his body weight people wouldn't be able to assume he was a power fighter, or speed fighter. Though most leaned more towards speed which in all honesty in more to the truth. He's the kind of guy who has a normal build unless his shirt is off. His hair is a long red mane that flows to about the middle of his back. However the dark red locks are normally tied into a long samurai like hairdo. Speaking of samurai most could say that is what he looks like with his slender yet always locked in a serious glare face. He tends to wear more fancy clothing this having to do with the fact that he was a member of a upper class family in Atlas before choosing to come to beacon for schooling As such rather than normal like clothing he wears a silk white shirt that opens up in a slight V-neck and has a small cape like feature on the back. His pants are some type of fancy materially designed black pair that allow him to look nice while keeping comfortable. As for shoes he pairs a basic pair of black combat shoes. Finally to lock down the look he has is a pair of dark shaded glasses that are locked onto his face that are there to help him see things far away since he has bad eyesight, but more importantly he designed them to read his enemies, it only works on enemies he has fought enough to record data on however.
> As for Michalis as a person he is quite the laid back man despite people thinking he is a modern day samurai of sorts. He's the type of guy to simply sit back and drink a nice cold drink not giving a care about anything. However when I say this I don't mean he's the chill laid back kind of guy people come to know and love. No he's the kind of guy you can't rely on. It literally takes all his effort to want to get something done so most would say he's not a good partner, let alone a good teammate. However when he's determined on something that all will literally change however that's not very often. When he does get determined you'll see a whole new person from waking up early, to cleaning his room, to training, and overall being a over achiever despite most of the time being the complete opposite. Most the time however he's the kind of guy to stay in bed, and maybe play a game of chess before going back to bed. He often forgets to eat, and because of this he will randomly get hungry on the battlefield. As for romance it'd take either a person he really loved to motivate him into action, or someone willing to baby him so to date he has no found a romantic partner.
> Michalis' fighting gear consists of a large katana known as Zantetsuken. A large black katana that he keeps at his side only when he feels he'll need it. unlike most other people's weapons his isn't all robotic because it doesn't have a gun feature. Instead it rocks a bow feature that shoots arrows he keeps on his back in quiver. It's nothing much past that which makes sense for a man like Michalis.
> Another thing that fits him is his personality is his semblance. Deemed the samurai's sacrifice by himself by activating it he can send his energy to one teammate at the cost of his own strength. When he does this fighting a small grimm takes a lot of effort and quite frankly there's a chance it could defeat him depending on how drained he is from the duration of it. Extended use of this power can lead to coma, or if he manages to keep going for a long long time even death could come out as a result.

//Too lazy to make a fancy header for every time I post, sorry~ ^^
The air was semi peaceful as Michalis stood on the platform that would send him gliding into the air. Whilst everyone else seemed nervous for they all wanted to find a great partner, and team to be with for the rest of their school lives, Michalis himself was sitting kinda of in a squat kind of way as he watched the others with bored eyes complete with dark circles under his eyes which normally show the signs of sleep deprivation however Michalis slept quite a bit so no one could come up with why he had the look of someone who had slept in days. His hands rested on his knees as he watched a few of the other boredly. His eyes went to spot the first student shot into the air and he let out a yawn as he realized the games were starting. Standing up he rolled his left shoulder and cracked his neck as waited for the joy of being tossed into the air. He hadn't practiced a landing nor did even realize what this test was even for, quite frankly he was kind of just there like always.
With that thought he felt his platform fling him into the air and he closed his green eyes calmly as he waited for his body to get closer to the ground. At the peak of the height he used his weight to flip him so his feet her pointing downward, and he kind of looked like he was in a standing position. With that he fall down feet first opening his greens eyes as he got closer to the ground. Seeing a tree he raised a hand grabbing a branch to stop the full fall damage, though as he touched the bark he quickly retracted as he felt a splinter prude his skin. ".....Kidding me?" He sighed aloud as he was still falling however this time he used his feet to land on a branch and did a backflip so he was standing on solid ground now. He might be lazy, but he wasn't a weakling. In fact a lot of people figured if he put effort into everything he did he would be quite high in the rankings, however he didn't so he wasn't.
After a bit of standing in the forest he let out another yawn rubbing the back of his neck. "What're we supposed to do again?" He moaned to himself confused he hadn't been paying attention past stand on this platform. After a few minutes he started walking north as he deemed it the greatest chances of doing something right. Who didn't like north? It was always his go to point, and now he was randomly walking north in emerald forest not having a clue what he was suppose to do.

(Hey Poison. I know there aren't rules posted on this roleplay, but it's generally accepted knowledge that you aren't supposed to god-mod in roleplays. By that I mean, you shouldn't be roleplaying other people's characters. What you've done in your post above is take control of Kestrel without permission from kiwi cheesecake and that's quite frankly not okay. I don't mean to be rude or mean but it's really inconsiderate of you to just demand that Kestrel be your character's partner and then force this interaction between them. This isn't Synistre's story. It isn't Kestrel's either. It's not my story and its not Salted Squid 's. It's a story that we make together, and that means that we all have to accomodating for each other and let each character do his/her/their own thing. The fun comes from throwing your character out there and just seeing what happens, not from dictating to others what their characters are doing and how they respond to yours. Sorry if I've overstepped my boundaries by posting this, I'm not an admin or anything. I just find it to be kinda rude to Starry, so please don't god-mod Poison.)

// Damn sorry mate i really didn't mean to offend anyone. Not very good at roleplay. I also apologize for the "god mode" I thought that lesser Grimm are quite weak, although that is my bad. And I'm sorry for the kestrel part. I thought that somebody had to give the roleplay a little nudge to get it into the action. Il rewrite the encounter, again apologies.//

NIX DAYSPRING | EMERALD FOREST
______________________________
Spun gold drifted lazily before his eyes as Nix alighted soundlessly on the twitching haunches of a half-buried Ursa. Its upper body had been plowed into the disturbed earth, inky mist curling up from its sides and dispersing at the assault of a sudden breeze. Two more bodies lay before him in varying stages of disintegration, and he watched them with lazy satisfaction as he idly brushed stray auric locks from his face.
'Rude. He didn't even have the grace to thank me.'
No one had mentioned being timed, so he supposed the only excuse his fellow would-be student had for a blatant retreat when he'd arrived to help fend off the trio of Ursai was a definite team in mind. One that didn't include him. Nix wasn't bothered by this revelation- he had an ideal team in mind as well. It was fortunate that they'd managed to avoid making solid contact with each other. Especially considering the fact that the other teen was struggling with a single Ursa Minor, let alone three.
It was a wonder how long he'd last, Nix doubted that he'd reach the relics unscathed. If at all.
The golden blond's uneven gaze lifted to the thick canopy overhead, idling hands tugging at and smoothing the sleeves of his shirt as he attempted to retrace and compare his flight- or rather, fall- pattern to that of his brother's. While he did have an ideal team in mind, it was more of a template with hastily scribbled outlines and stipulations. Ambrose was the only definite. His younger brother had been forcibly -because there had been a surprising amount of force involved- separated from him for roughly nine years, and Nix didn't think it was vain of him to believe that he was his only true friend; strained though their relationship may be. It shouldn't have taken cornering and cajoling for Ambrose to agree to partner with him, but now that he'd secured him, he was loathe to leave him to himself again. The idiot was still of the mind that everything that happened was somehow his fault.
The reminder spurred him into action, and Nix slid from his perch just as the Ursa's death finalized and took the form of ebony mist. Ambrose was likely avoiding others and heading in the direction Nix had advised him in and at the angle they'd agreed upon, but from what Nix could recall from his launch- He was tempted to roll his eyes at his conclusion. Out of all the faults Ambrose apparently saw in himself, his inability to follow plans apparently wasn't very prevalent. Would it have been 'too much of a hassle' for him to land a little further in the Forest? Did he decide to take a swan dive straight into the abyss below the cliff?
Nix's Semblance only allowed him to sense threats when they were in his immediate vicinity, so he would be forced to trust his brother and attempt to meet or find him between his current location and their shared destination.
Lips still quirked with exasperated amusement, Nix trotted over to a tree that looked sturdy enough to withstand his Semblance, absently retying his hair as he went. This done, he measured the remaining distance with a discerning eye before leaping into the air and twisting his body so that the soles of his shoes touched the trunk. He brushed the fingers of his right hand against the rough bark before gravity could drag him back to earth, activating his Acceleration with a mere touch. Wood splintered and bent as he shot forward, hand already extended to brush against another tree. He angled his body so that his shoes once again found purchase against the trunk, using it briefly as a launch pad before rocketing forward once again. This time he angled his body upward, flipping to reach the crooked branch of a tree a few yards away.
Nix caught it upside down, hooking his over legs it and using his continued momentum to swing forward and catch a higher branch with his left hand. He swung himself up with a slight wrinkle of his nose, as the move had disturbed the state of his hair, but was quickly distracted by the sounds of battle in the distance. Straightening, Nix briefly studied the distant copse of trees as if he could see through them before deciding against investigating. He could hear gunshots, which immediately ruled out Ambrose, and the skirmish appeared to be in the opposite direction besides.
It was likely the weakling from earlier.
Turning his back on the roars of the grimm, Nix returned to a bracing crouch and dropped his hand to the cracked bark, eye adopting a faint golden tint with the advent of his Semblance. Acceleration should take care of any chances he had of being inducted into an unfavorable team, though he would have to be careful of its use so as not to overtax himself or bypass his brother.
'If I find you taking a nap I'll have no choice but to strangle you with your own weapon.'

Kanga Tanning
First Year Student Team: WIKD Location: Emerald Forest With:
One of the biggest pros to being half kangaroo, Kanga decided, was being able to jump.
The faunus was one of the last to be launched from the top of the cliff, though thanks to a well-timed forward jump, she was probably much closer to the relics than anyone. One of the cons of that? She had no clue where any of the relics actually were. Which sucked, given that she was alone. But, thankfully, she at least had a general knowledge of which direction she was meant to be headed: North.
"Ooh, goodie! North it is!" She called cheerfully, giving a bounce that was small for her but could be considered a large leap for many people. And thus she set off, moving forward with large jumps rather than walking; she found that it allowed her to move faster, and used far less energy. At least, for her it did; other people may find it more taxing.
In the distance, she could hear the sound of gunshots, and the growls and screeches of far-off Grimm. She made a mental note to steer well clear of it; while she was a decent fighter, she liked to avoid it if she could. But, even so, she pulled out a single boomerang, tossing it up lazily as she walked. She didn't deploy the blades-- not yet, anyway-- but it was comforting to know that it was there if she needed it. The area in her immediate viscinity was blessedly empty, and she found herself humming a quiet tune to keep her mind occupied.
And, as such, she was totally unprepared at the sound of a tree trunk cracking, as if a very large grimm had run into it. An Ursa? Deathstalker? Preparing herself for the worst, she whipped out a second boomerang, letting the blades slide out in preparation. A moment later, however, a flash of gold streaked over her head, faster than what even Faunus vision was capable of making out. For a moment, she paused, watching the shape recede into the distance. That thing, she decided, was definitely not a Grim.
So, after debating for a moment, she set off after it, moving through the forest with great bounds. It didn't take long; she soon came across the boy, dangling upside down from a tree, his back to her. His aura was bright gold, which explained the golden blur she had seen. A moment later, however, before she could manage to call out to the boy who she assumed was to be her new partner, he set off again.
"Hey, wait--" she yelped. Dust, he moved fast! She took off again, following the glowing gold streak as it rocketed through the woods. Now that she knew that she was dealing with a person, she managed to steal a peek through his eyes, though he was going far too fast for her to make anything out but a blur. Distracted from her own eyesight for a split second, she tripped over a root, tumbling head-over- tail down a small incline before finally coming to a stop at the bottom.
"Ow." She winced, rolling from her back to her belly. She pushed herself up onto her knees, then sat back on her heels, tail curled up in frustration. Drat, I probably lost you, didn't I?
Then, sighing she glanced up. And there he was-- perched upon a branch, ready to take off again. She sprang up, excitement firing through her.
"Hello!" She called, praying he didn't take off again. "Please don't run away again!"
