Well, her last name is Rose. Rose-Schnee, actually. Don't ask how that works. I just really like Whiterose for some reason
So you can def. start looking for words that can work with that!
And I really like Blu! You don't have to change him at all; I actually think it would be interesting to see development between them, like will they be friends or enemies type thing? I'm very excited for this!

Me too! And thanks, I want him to balance out Xin but I never gave thought to their team/social dynamics...Huh.
I think he'll really like your character, though. Blu is originally from Atlas and I imagine he's a bit of a fan of the Schnee Dust Company considering his father's profession. Also he isn't the type to make enemies, but others might make an enemy of him.

Very. ^^
This is what I have so far on the R front:
Emblazery Marbleize Exorcism Exordium Morceaux Oxymora Paroxysm Czardom Disharmonizer Emblazoner Mesmerize Harmonize
Some of these sound made up, and they seem a bit complicated for a team name. But X and Z are letters that just beg for dramatic words I suppose. x3

Summer Rose-Schnee ((because unoriginality is a thing that exists people!)) --17 Female
Summer isn't quite the girl that you might expect to come from a family that includes two of the greatest, most famous huntresses Remnant has ever known. However, she seems to be the perfect mix of both Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee; at least, in a way. She's on the shorter side, with a slender, almost delicate build. She has pale skin and a soft, round face. She keeps her sleek white hair short, with her bangs only just long enough to fall in front of her distinctive silver eyes. The tips of her hair are a light pink, and she also has a few more pink highlights throughout. Her outfit is not at all similar to either of her parents'; she wears a pair of black jeans, a pink tank top, and a white hoodie with her emblem-- a pink rose-- over the breast, and lined with pink. When asked, she simply said that she got inspiration "from Aunt Nora." Honestly, both of her parents are frightened by that thought.
Summer is a bit on the quiet side, not terribly shy but not exactly the type to go out of her way to talk to people. She prefers to fade into the background, and hates that her parents' fame has made it nearly impossible for her to go anywhere without being instantly recognized by everyone. She hates the stigma that seems to follow her around, that she's supposed to be some great hero because of her last name and her silver eyes, especially when that translates into people, mostly teachers, expecting her to be somehow a better fighter or student than others. She is, as a matter of fact, a good fighter and an excellent student; she mostly just dislikes the fact that she's expected to be such, and nobody ever seems to be surprised when she does well. Though she may often come across as rough or callous on the exterior, Summer does have a sweeter side, buried somewhere deep down. She can be incredibly kind and caring, once she deems you worthy of being kind to, and is a loyal friend and a great teammate.
Summer's weapon is named Osiria Rose. It's a sleek, crafty pink-and white rifle, very clean and modern in appearance. Being a Schnee, of course it uses dust; she uses the different kinds of dust indiscriminately, choosing different types based on various different scenarios. She has a detachable sight that she may put onto the top, making her of value as a sniper. At the flip of a switch, however, her weapon transforms, unfolding into a long, double-bladed sword with a single handle in the middle. The sword doesn't have a dust component, though it's rather useful in helping her to direct her semblance, and her considerable skill in using her weapon in this form makes her a formidible opponent both at close range and from afar. The two swords don't yet detach, though she hopes to make that a feature sometime in the future.
Summer has the typical hereditary Schnee semblance of producing glyphs, which have a variety of different uses, such as to speed up her attacks or to skate across a surface as if it were ice. Along with this, she also has the ability to summon help from creatures that she has defeated to aid her in battle, though at this point in her life she still struggles to control this aspect of her ability; currently, she only seems to be able to Summon while under duress or if her life is threatened; she is unable to Summon at will, though she works on that part whenever she can.

Dustin Marrón, combat teacher:
Dustin Marrón -- 38 -- Male --Teacher at Beacon Academy --Dustin is thirty-eight years old, 5’10 with an average build and lean musculature. He’s not brawny nor particularly large or tall, but he’ll still kick your butt with finesse and efficiency. His most startling feature for most people would be his prosthetic leg- were it not for a near fatal injury on a mission against a White Fang base, he would still be an active huntsman. As it is he finds the next best thing to be making sure the new huntsmen and huntresses don’t make the same mistakes he did. The leg is a dull bronze color and covered in scars, scratches, and the occasional dent, much like his actual skin. It extends all the way up to about mid-thigh and is usually hidden by his clothing, revealed only by the metallic clank of his step and slight whirring noise of the joints. He has strong, angular facial features. His skin is lightly tanned and his eyes just slightly slanted. That along with a certain smoothness to his cheekbones and nose are the only hints of his half-Mistralian identity. His eyes are a dark green and his long, shaggy hair is light brown. He has a clean, neatly trimmed goatee and mustache to contrast with his sloppy hairstyle. Fortunately said hair is usually covered by his hat, a chestnut brown cowboy hat with a dark hatband that has a small black feather tucked into it. This hat completes the rest of his getup, which includes a white button-up shirt covered by a brown leather vest and a tan duster coat to go over it all. This is followed by jeans and brown leather shotgun chaps with tan cowboy boots. His everyday teaching outfit is a little less extreme- he’ll usually forgo the duster, vest, and chaps- but he never ruins the Cowboy Aesthetic™. He also has a bracer on his right arm which is the same metal and color as his arm, with a small track on the inside in which his weapon sits when in its folded form. It is barely noticeable due to the shape of the bracer, which flares out to completely conceal the cylindrical folded revolver. --Dustin is serious and puts on a grumpy air. He has a rough demeanour and this combined with his scarred appearance and clear combat-readiness puts a lot of people off, but in reality he’s pretty cool once you get past his roughness. Dustin is laid-back in the classroom and informal, preferring to be called simply Marrón rather than professor, sir, or mister, and is pretty tolerant of student behavior unless it interferes with learning. He much prefers doing to talking and that attitude filters through to his classwork and homework, which is usually more hands-on. He has a sarcastic streak and isn’t afraid to sass students and fellow staff alike and is very loyal to his school and to his students. Dustin has a lot of stories to tell from his time as an active huntsman and isn’t afraid to talk about his past or his injury, though he does tire a bit of having to explain it to literally everyone. One thing he won't talk about though, is his deceased teammates or his father, who died early in Dustin's youth. He is still a skilled huntsman despite his handicap, with a quick and efficient no-nonsense fighting-style. His leg barely hampers his movement, but the cowboy considered it a liability in a world where lightning dust and electricity in general are common weapons, not to mention the occasional phantom pain that could attract Grimm. --Dustin's weapon is a simple but elegant six-shooter revolver that can fold and condense itself down into a small cylinder. Paired with a special bracer on his right arm, the cylinder can rest on his inner forearm. When his wrist is flicked in a certain way the folded revolver slides down a track in his bracer and into his hand, unfolding along the way into it's full form. In this way he is able to draw his weapon in less than a second and carry it on him at all times. Dustin named the weapon 'Diplomatic Solution' because he felt it was ironic. More often though it is simply referred to as Solution. His lack of a melee option on a weapon makes him more of a mid-range attacker and while he is good at hand-to-hand combat most of his moves are to put distance between himself and his attacker in order to line up shots. He's not afraid to fight dirty and will do anything to gain an advantage or exploit an opponent's weakness. --Dustin’s semblance is to cancel out others’ semblances. This only works within a short distance of him and requires him to actually be hit with the ability first in order for it to activate. For instance if someone’s semblance was to conduct electricity then Dustin would have to be hit with the electricity first in order to cancel it. If someone’s semblance was speed-based then he would have to be hit by the person while they are using their semblance, and so on and so forth. He can also only cancel one semblance at a time and it is automatically whoever hit him last rather than his choice. In a one on one fight this means that he’s basically leveling the playing field given that his semblance isn’t useful in combat but he can prevent others from using their semblance against him. It brings fights against Dustin down to the combatants’ skills with their weapons rather than who can use their semblance better. However if two people attack him at once then he could be overwhelmed, theoretically anyway- Dustin’s very good at fighting even against multiple opponents. --As a veteran huntsman Dustin has seen a lot of action for his age, largely due to his team being some of the most skilled huntsman in their class. BNDT or Bandit, as his team was called, were very successful until one fateful mission against the White Fang which ended with two of his teammates dead and one fatally injured who would later succumb to his wounds in a field hospital. Dustin himself suffered grievous injury as well with the loss of his left leg below the mid-thigh and a stab wound to the chest. He managed to survive, but the event left a lot of psychological scars and grief that he spent years working through. In the end he decided that he wouldn't be a huntsman anymore and would instead use his skills and experience to train others. Even though he’s not an active huntsman anymore he’s still one of the best fighters that the academy has produced though he never gained much fame for it. He now teaches most of the combat classes, both against Grimm and against other people. --Color theme is brown. He's based on the cowboy archetype in general, but if I had to point to specific characters I would say Jesse McCree from Overwatch and Wyatt Earp. Theme songs are "Ain't no Grave" and "Hurt" (both by Johnny Cash. idk i guess he's just a Johnny Cash person).
Masako Murasaki, student:
Masako Murasaki -- 17 -- Female --First-year Student at Beacon Academy --Masako is a smaller woman, standing at only 5'3 with a slim build and slight curvature. Her straight hair is relatively short but frames her heart-shaped face nicely. Her features are smooth and subtle, with a small nose and almond-shaped dark purple eyes. Her hair is jet black but with a purple streak down the right side to match her weapon and outfit. Her small size is used to her advantage in battle, where she can find a perch and remain hidden while picking off foes from afar or use her agility in close-quarters to avoid attacks. She has a fairly simple outfit with a robe reminiscent of a plain purple kimono, but shorter and more like a skirt than a dress, with sleeves that trail somewhat. She also wears black leggings with purple knee-high boots. --Masako is energetic and optimistic. She’s not naive and knows when to be serious but she can often come off as airheaded or too relaxed. She’s pretty chill as a person, very informal, open, and carefree. Despite her laid-back attitude it’s very hard to sneak anything past her as she’s very perceptive. Manako is quite observant and has a photographic memory which makes her a good scout. She trusts few people despite what she might say and buries a lot of her real emotions under her cheerful exterior. She is a great fighter whatever her size and youthful appearance may suggest, both a skilled shot with her rifle and an efficient and deadly combatant with her naginata. Her fighting style when in naginata form is smooth and elegant, with spinning moves and flourishes that appear aesthetic but actually help to preserve momentum and are fine-tuned for fighting multiple opponents at once as one must often do when fighting hordes of Grimm. She isn’t as great at fighting people. When fighting humans she usually does so at range using the sniper mode, using dust darts for area denial (no one particularly wants to walk through fields of fire or electricity even with aura) and uses poisons to drain aura before finishing off aura-less opponents with tranquilizers. If the circumstances don’t allow for a sniper or she would be more useful in close range she switches to the naginata form and uses a more hit-and-run style. --Masako's weapon is a naginata that can change into a bolt-action dart-firing sniper rifle. (I actually drew a picture of this one if anybody's interested owo) She's named the weapon Sunēkubaito, or Snakebite, because of the blade of the naginata resembling a snake's fang and the dart rifle's ability to shoot poison darts as well as tranquilizers or darts filled with various forms of dust. The dust darts are more like syringes and are filled with dust. On impact they break apart and explode, spreading fire, ice, or whatever other effect the dust is imbued with everywhere. The sniper/dart rifle has a long range but its compressed air firing system and use of darts rather than bullets means it lacks penetrating power as well as the pure damage of a standard shot, but it gains much more utility because the darts can be filled with poisons or tranquilizers allowing her to take down targets nonlethally or filled with dust for various other effects. --Her semblance is to become invisible to the naked eye. This requires some concentration and it takes a moment or two to completely fade from view. Once she is invisible she can still be detected by the sound she makes and her body heat isn’t concealed, allowing thermal optics or heat sensors to detect her. Manako can stay invisible for long periods of time, but any strong emotion or surprise will render her visible, as will pain or anything else that would break her concentration. This would include aiming or attacking because she would have to concentrate in order to aim her strikes and this keeps her from concentrating on her semblance. Even with these limitations Masako’s semblance is very effective during combat, where she can stay hidden and snipe enemies from afar or confuse enemies by attacking from one direction, disappearing, and then attacking from another. --Masako lived in the far reaches of Vale in a very small town, more of an outpost really, a fair bit off the road between Vale and Vacuo. She had a quiet, fairly normal youth. She doesn’t like to talk about what happened there in specifics, but suffice it to say that around the age of fourteen her village was attacked by members of the White Fang, who did this to steal food and provisions for their group. The village called for help from the government and the huntsmen just before this siege, but no help came and the villagers were forced to fend off the attackers on their own. They succeeded but many died in the process, including Masako’s father. Eventually government help did arrive but it was hours late and would have been inadequate anyway, consisting of a single patrol of regular soldiers, not even huntsmen. This event left Masako with a deep hatred and fear of the White Fang and a dislike for the government and authority in general, but it only solidified her desire to become a huntress so that she could protect those she cared about and others who, like her, were defenseless and alone out in the wilderness. --Color theme is purple. Character is loosely based on Tomoe Gozen and Hōjō Masako, weapon inspiration is Ana Amari's Biotic Rifle from Overwatch (though Masako’s obviously doesn’t heal friendlies). Theme song is “Silent Running,” either the Hidden Citizens cover or the original by Mike & The Mechanics.

Ambrose Dayspring | 17 | Male
Ambrose stands at 5'8 with a graceful lithely muscled build. While he adamantly denies it and avoids violence when he can, Ambrose is a skilled and frequent fighter, evinced by numerous scars and corded muscles he conceals with ill-fitting clothing. His loosely curled hair, ever in a state of just-rolled-out-of-bed disarray, is a deep and almost somber wine red, possessing a magenta sheen visible in direct sunlight. It ends just past his ears and often falls into his left eye, as uneven bangs leave the other clear. Ambrose's eyes are wide and almond-shaped, shaded a misty rose quartz with strains of gold sparking to life upon the use of his Semblance. They weave across his iris in interconnected branches, giving it the illusion of fragmentation. His eyes are rimmed in kohl, furthering the illusion that he's in a perpetual state of exhaustion. Ambrose's face is heart-shaped and generally set in an expression that reflects his weariness in half-lidded eyes and noncommittal slant to his mouth. His youthful features give the impression of his being younger than he is, a misconception that he rarely corrects. He wears black-framed glasses that are worn seemingly at random times, pushed back on his head or dangling from his collar when not in use. When hunting, Ambrose dons a red-violet reefer coat with white lapels and gold buttons. The collar and shoulders are also white, matching the button-up worn underneath. Ebony snakes along the bottom edge and spirals up his back, resembling the creeping reach of briar thorns. His red-violet pants also include the design, though only on his left leg. Ambrose's combat boots halt at his ankles, black with gold lacing, soles, and heels. He wears an onyx spiked gauntlet on his right hand and a simple though similarly colored leather fingerless glove on his left. The sleeves of his coat and shirt are often rolled up rather sloppily to his elbows, revealing a plethora of scars inflicted by his own weapons. His symbol is displayed on the back of his glove: A rose quartz helix of thorns in the vague shape of a star. His casual clothing tends to be ill-fitting and in muted colors, as the majority of his wardrobe is second-hand. Ambrose gets cold easily, and so is most often found in warm clothing, pairing sweaters and scarves.
At first glance, it would appear that Ambrose is lazy and distinctly unmotivated beyond sleeping and reading- He barely even bothers to speak. Even those who know him are rather unimpressed by how slothful he is. And for the most part- they're right. Ambrose doesn't particularly want to do anything, at least nothing grander than maybe finishing a book for once- But his irritating conscience and marshmallow-soft heart always get in his way. As a result, he tends to be outwardly lazy whilst going behind others' backs to undertake selfless tasks that he struggles to keep hidden so as to avoid more being asked from him. The only time Ambrose ever finishes something- not including his missions- is when it's for the sake of someone else. Otherwise, he has the attention span of a goldfish and flits from one thought or task to the next. He wanders away in the middle of conversation, falls asleep in dangerous places, and usually only says half of a sentence before moving on to the next.
Ambrose's weapons are three obsidian spiked chains collectively named Malevolent Verve. His primary chains end in 33 inches worth of blade- vaguely resembling schiavonas. The hilts are wrapped in rosy wire, golden guards spiraling to resemble the scattering of rose petals. The tapering blades are double-edged and can be slotted together to form a larger sword, a form they usually remain in when sheathed. The opposite ends of his chains bear wicked hooks, with the bladeless third possessing two. When activated by his Aura, inch-long spikes emerge and cover their entire length with the exception of his blades, increasing the damage he can inflict. Fire Dust is chambered within Malevolent Verve's hilts, enabling the use of fiery bursts along the length of the blades. Ambrose prefers highly volatile Dust, and is known for being the cause of quite a few explosions. Though thirteen feet in length individually, Ambrose can extend the chains' reach by slotting the hooks together. When not in use, the blades are sheathed in an ebony scabbard strapped across his back whilst the chains coil and loop around him, occasionally moving of their own accord.
Ambrose's Semblance is that of puppetry, allowing him to breathe life into inanimate objects- even remotely control them from afar- at the cost of his own Aura. He must make skin contact with them first, however, and prolonged contact is needed if he isn't familiar with the object. Presently, there are limits in distance and the time in which he can use them, but he's working to overcome this. Once he's established a connection with his Aura, Ambrose can affect the gravity or physical behavior of whatever he's Marked. The best example of this would be his fighting style and use of Malevolent Verve, controlling them independently to bind or slice through opponents from a distance. His Aura is dusky cerise, wispy and pale.
Ambrose's parents died when he was seven- A suspected homicide with no suspects to speak of, though there were whispers that suggested the White Fang, as both his parents were known- only in the worst circles- for illegal activities. Ambrose was never permanently adopted, only ever fostered and bounced from one wary home to another. As such, he has a rather flighty mien and doesn't believe in permanence, ever ready to move on and break ties. He has always been anxious to join the ranks of the Hunters and Huntresses, though he has yet to determine whether he seeks justice or vengeance.
Ambrose actually trains himself fairly often to maintain stamina, and many of the books he reads are combat-oriented. His natural state appears to be one of perpetually peeved weariness unless he's in the presence of food, promised an uninterrupted nap, or a challenging battle. His lackadaisical nature is a side-effect of his taxing Semblance, Ambrose is rarely not tired and can fall asleep anywhere, at the drop of a dime. It's rather unfortunate that it isn't as easy to wake him as it is for him to fall asleep.

(Pretty sure photobucket completely destroyed the image quality but there's a quick digital trace + color of my original concept. It's not super great imo, but I've proven that a naginata-sniper rifle combo is plausible. The original paper sketch was because a friend was telling me there was no way to make a naginata transform into a sniper rifle and I proved them wrong! xP)
(I also just noticed that the arrows showing the blade's rotation are backwards but oh well)
EDIT: (And the accent is on the wrong vowel what the heck was I thinking? Yeah this definitely needs to be edited sometime soon Dx)

We should start team Mask role play today. I propose that we start inside in our team room. The first time our OC will meet each other. I am however aware that in the show it isnt like this. But i think it would be a fun situation. You start off when you ready Summer Rose.

You certainly have, Qrow! That's awesome, and I love the little details. ^^
I like AMBR too- there's already a fandom team by that name but it shouldn't be much of a problem if this is just a roleplay, yeah?
x3 I was actually thinking the same thing in regards to Day as leader, though he'd hate it. But of course I wouldn't mind if Summer were leader. It'd make more sense and add on to her character if others just see it as her right to lead her team as Ruby had. Or it could go another way with there being disbelief in regards to how she wasn't given/didn't accept the position. Your call.
I think you should start off with MSSK though, and maybe decide on a team leader if you haven't already. ^^
