-hugs tight-)
Zo giggled. "I don't know how I managed to get by," she laughed, "I could eat all day and still be hungry!"

Nick smiled at Zo. "So..." he started as they walked in, seeing baskets of red apples and bottles of water and Gatorade on the tables. "How'd you get here? I mean, what's your story?" he wondered. "You and your brother both managed to get here...that's strange. Or, so I've heard," he added. Unless they had lots of money... he reminded himself.

"we come from a really small town. Which means if we want to compete then we had to go to the city nearby. It just so happens that the city is really popular for rodeo. Like famous for rodeo. Tulsa, Oklahoma. Um neither of us knew their was a scout there that day. My father is the one who applied for us to come here. And then the scout offered me a scholarship. I managed to get my brother in as well because I didn't want to come without him," Zo said, grabbing three apples. She offered one to Nick and stuck one in her backpack. "How about you?"

(Yikes, gonna be another bad day! Great...Let's see, i have 4 hours left XD)
Nick smiled at the story. "That's really nice of you...you weren't worried they would pull your scholarship if you asked for him?" he wondered. "Red, blue, grape or green?" he asked, listing the options of gatorade, grabbing a red one for himself as he took an apple with a big smile. He hadn't really spoken to too many people here yet, especially not for this long, and one so nice and cute.

Oh no. You can make it! I believe in you!)
"Blue please. and I was. I was terrified. But I'm really good at arguing a point and convincing someone to side with me. My dad says I should be a lawyer someday," Vi said.

(Bother sorry was really busy. Things are back to boring again temporarily XD)
Nick passed the gatorade to Zo, and answered, "Ha, guess you picked a different path, though?" he remarked, realizing she must be passionate about horses and riding if she was here. He walked out of the dining hall with her, trying to decide where to take her next.

Zo walked beside him, taking a drink of Gatorade. "Yea. I may still try to be a lawyer later in life but right now this is where I belong."

(Finally home!!!! So ready to roleplay today and forget about work...XD
Anyone else on??)
Nick nodded, walking along side her, leading in the direction of the English Barn. "I'll show you where I'm stuck working. From what I'm told, it's mostly full of snippy rich brats and million dollar horses. That part is true I know, I've seen the horses. It's insane," he spoke, trying to find something to talk about. He didn't want their time to be over just yet, but he knew he had to get back to work...

"oh you poor thing! I wouldn't want to work with them," she said with a shiver. "How did you get stuck there?"

(Oh man, oops I missed you! Ah well, we'll finish another time!)
Nick shrugged. "Just the open spot I could take. Still, I'm glad to be there. Hoping I can still ride and maybe even compete..." If they let me...he thought to himself.

"well I'm all for trail rides so you can definitely come riding with me if you have free time," Zo offered.

Nick smiled. "Sounds nice. I'll have to introduce you to my horse sometime," he told her. "She loves trail rides. I heard the trails here are great, too. Just haven't had time to go yet-" he warned her. He really never had much time. This was the first time he had a break much in a week.

"so does mine. He's a big goofball," Zo told Nick, smiling. She was glad she had already made a friend and hoped they would get to spend more time together

(Ugh I so don't want to be at work today, it's rainy and nasty, and it's Oaks so this sucks!)
Nick stopped at the English Barn, feeling frustrated that he had to jump back into work. "He, maybe I can catch you later? I mean, at least until you make all these new friends and decide it's too uncool to hang out with a barn hand," he replied seriously, yet still with a smirk. Though he really did worry that would happen...she was the first nice girl he had been with for a long while.

I don't wanna go to work either. Yesterday I had to work in twos and I haven't been there all day in a long time so my body is so sore. Then I had to close the toddler room and then I finally got to leave)

(Ooooh lets do Clarie and Wyatt, since it's his barn!!!)
Wyatt headed out of his quarters in the Western Barn, finally feeling as if everything was ready for the students. He sighed, not so sure if he was ready for a second year here. At least now he would have Cowgirl to keep him busy- training an off-the-range, wild Mustang would be hard. Was he really looking forward to it? Now, though, his barn, while far from 'spick-and-span' was fairly close- as close as this former Ranch-Manager could handle. The trainers seemed ready, most all of the horses were here and settled in, the academy horses were happy, barn staff was set. The place was clean and semi-organized. Lessons were ready to be taught. Dogs in line, cats...well, they were cats. What more could he do today, at this point?

Claire was walking up and down the line of horses, checking them out. She knew a few who would be used in her classes.

Wyatt smiled upon seeing Claire. "Hey," he called out in a low voice, gruff as usual. "Too afraid to go meet the students?" he joked with her and chuckled as he grew closer, stopping in front of a stall next to her.

"you could say that. You could also say that you can learn a lot from your stufents by looking at their horses," Claire told him with a side smirk

Wyatt nodded. "Yup. The ones with million dollar horses got money. The ones that ain't got a horse at all don't," he replied sarcastically with a laugh and smirk, tipping back his cowboy hat to get a better look at the world around him, including Claire. "Getting more scholarship kids for your reining it seems. That good or bad, you think?" To him, it seemed good. Getting in kids that needed it. Sure, the rich kids might deserve it too- they were good riders after all, but they paid the bills, as well, that was part of it. Scholarship kids knew how to work hard, and often could be just as good, if they had the chance to get good horses, spend enough time riding, and got decent show experience.

Claire laughed and ran a hand down one horse's cheek. "I like my scholarshipers. They always seem to work harder than my Richies."

Wyatt laughed at the terms, still getting used to them. "Well," he began, hoping to hold her attention for a few minutes to keep himself busy, "What are you looking forward to this year?" he asked, curious.

Flynn had requested Warboy be tacked and ready for a session earlier in the day; now, the big, tall dappled gray Holsteiner was already throwing a tantrum, having only been ridden a dozen times- maybe- since summer vacation started, and not much before than due to Flynn's lack of enthusiasm for him. And, well, inability to control him. "Sit still, you beast," Flynn murmured as he waited for Summer to arrive, having a handler hold the creature as he played around on his phone- something that would not be allowed after dinner tonight. The gelding stomped his foot in the sand-dirt that filled the indoor english arena, a huge, fairly empty space for now. This half was for flat-work only, and the back half held various jumps. Some were small, near verticals of 2'. Others were huge- some 5' and more in height. Some natural jumps, pale wood with brush and the like. Others brightly colored, highly decorative and strange shapes. Warboy blew through his nose, a sign of his impatience as he stared down at Flynn, who rolled his eyes at the goofy Jumper. (just bumping so it doesn't get lost!)
