Pride grinned as he watched Sherlock flounder for a moment. So that had caught him off guard. Clearly he wasn’t the only one here who thought highly of himself - this man was not at all used to being told flat out that he was wrong. “Presumptuous of you to assume I owe you my entire life story just because you wish to verify your deductions,” he said, well aware that saying nothing would most likely make it much more difficult for the detective to tell if he was lying than if he simply made up a story. “I asked you for a deduction, you gave one, and it is incorrect. That is simply fact.” He crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes around at the others in the room. “Perhaps, if you had studied your subject more carefully, you might not have missed so much crucial information.”

Sherlock was still smiling, though it didn’t meet his sharp blue eyes. There it was, that grin. The one that was so infuriatingly stuck up, the detective found himself desperately wishing he had access to a good secret, one that Pride wouldn’t want him to have, just to run it in his smug little face. It told him something though. He was now almost certain the humunculus was lying, and that at least some of his deductions had been correct, maybe even all of them if they’d irked Pride enough to lie about it. “Presumptuous of you to assume you’re smarter than me, when I just proved what I can do.” He said flatly, dropping the smile as he threw caution to the wind. If he was wrong, he’d never live it down. He didn’t think he was wrong. “Aren’t you the arrogant one. You can’t lie to Sherlock Holmes and expect to get away with it you know, any fool knows that. Ask anyone, they’ll tell you.” Except Matt, Noctin, or Arlo, all of whom would probably love to see him successfully lied to, but that wasn’t the point, the point was to trip this stuck up little kid up before he knew what hit him. “You say the House is a simple concept? Prove it. Explain it to me...in detail.”

Pride snorted. “Hmmm? You’re trying to give me orders? Now that’s presumptuous.” He closed his eyes and shook his head, feeling quite pleased with the human’s blustering. He’d made him angry now...might as well finish him off. “The House is a simple concept simply because I can see it, in its entirety,” he said, although that was completely and utterly false. He, of course, had no more idea what the House was than anybody else did, including the detective. “You humans have weak, pathetic senses - I suppose it’s not surprising you would have blinked here this long without making progress towards knowledge of its inner workings.” He smiled again, a small, self-satisfied smirk. “I would explain further, but I couldn’t possibly expect you to comprehend it.”

Sherlock narrowed his eyes, giving Pride a flat stare. This wasn’t amusing anymore. He couldn’t help the nagging worry that the humunculus wasn’t lying, that he really did know the House inside and out, that the deductions had really been wrong, that he was out of his element here. And, more than anything else really, he hated the idea that this new, stuck up little boy might know the House better than he did. His lip curled, but otherwise he kept his expression as coldly neutral as he could.
“Try me, why don’t you?” Sherlock suggested coldly, and his eyes moved over the humunculus’ clothes. “I see you haven’t, in spite of all your boasts, figured out how to avoid the effects...unless you’re going to tell me you enjoy wearing that?”

A short woman wearing a dull purple dress blinked her eyes open to find that the scenery around her had suddenly changed. "What. . ." Julia had seen places change or shift a couple times before, but nothing nearly as extreme as this. One moment she was standing in a patch of flowers, the next she was in a room with walking fish and a very large and unusual creature. She stared speechlessly for a few long moments, feeling confused and somewhat worried.

As soon as Julia had thought of the flowers back in her home world, the ground below her changed texture yet again. Glancing away from Salsa and the walking fish, she noticed that everything in a 5 foot radius around her had turned into a flowery field. This was getting stranger by the minute. At that moment, she heard a voice. She looked back up towards the other blinker. "Um. . .what?" Did that creature just talk? There were no other creatures in the room aside from the walking fish, and it didn't seem like one of them had spoken.

Only Limit Is Your Imagination // Julia The flower field now seemed to be spreading. Soon, the entire floor was covered by it. As Salsa crouched down, Julia took a couple steps backwards. So the mysterious creature could talk and interact with her. That didn't undermine the fact that some of what she was saying made hardly any sense. Just what what was a 'newbie blinker'? The only thing that the dleki could get a grip on was something about a 'paradox house', seemingly whatever the creature was referring to this place as. "I've witnessed a few things and I've heard of some others, but nothing like this," she responded.

The floor's grass crinckled up in some areas where in others did large strips of grass that went up to a person's waist grow in abundance. "Then this will be a bit of an ice breaker." Salsa closed her eyes and let out stream of laughter, before shaking her narrow head. "Forget about being normal again for you are in the Paradox House, many of us blinkers, the beings that are dropped here, call it that to keep straightforward. Perhaps you've heard it all from tales spread by word of mouth or the haunting memories its brought down on anyone whose been wothin these unbreakable walls." She began with intent slowly creeping up on the gap Julia had created between them in the grass. Once the dleki got the hint about her new surroundings it wouldn't be so bad for her in the future, the case being she wouldn't be so clueless about the perils lingering inside the house. "Many call this place the Paradox House because, to put it bluntly, it is a paradox in it of itself. Its a house but it was consisted of three areas such as the living room, the hallway, and the rooms. Right now we're inside a room which doesn't look danegerous at first but they change before you notice anything offputing. Know that while the rooms are a threat you could escape but it won't be long until you or other blinkers start going inside them out of morbid curiosity. Oh, and never go into them alone! Plus, you'll go back home in a tiny bit, nothing to worry too much about."

Only Limit Is Your Imagination // Julia Julia backed up even more, rather uncomfortable with that close to the wildclaw. That strange noise - was it supposed to be laughter? How strange. She didn't exactly trust Salsa yet, but for the moment she was the best source of information - she sounded sure of herself. So apparently this wasn't any place in Efwllis. Instead, it belonged to something else; an entirely different dimension. And if a simple hallway could lead to something like this, there was no way she could assume what else was in this place. "So, how do we get out?" the dleki asked. She could waste a little time, so that wasn't too big of a deal.

Sleepover room -- au Samuel -- Sησω Razzle Dazzle"Is she okay?" he whispered. Like so many when waking in the morning, thinking whispering is some sort of tradition not to be broken, even though everyone else was awake. He blinked several times, adjusting to the change in lighting. This room was a whole lot different then ones he'd been in before and he looked around, wondering if he'd see Myrnin here as well. But the vampire hadn't turned up. The movement, however, did alert him to the fact he had different clothing on. He looked down, eyebrows raising. "Ha ha, House. Themed pajamas are not my favorite." The nightwear had some imprints of the space-ship he'd just seen ... yesterday now. He forgot another day had passed. Which made this the third day. His teeth gritted, but he ran a hand over the fabric of the pjs. What had she called these things? Started with a 'T'? He didn't know, but it looked odd. Ignoring the outfit for now, he looked around the room. There were several scraps of paper around the floor and he bent down, picking one up. He seemed to be the only one here so far, so he was hoping someone who knew what they were doing would turn up.

All concentration was broken when Ougi blinked into the room. She had been reassessing a mystery, standing on one of the landings in the school’s main stairwell and looking down out the window. Her school uniform transformed into the bunny onesie the House had decided to adorn her with, and she released a casual sigh. Her gaze traveled across the floor and to Samuel’s feet, then to his entire person. “Oh, hello there...” she greeted, approaching. Her movement was slow, almost as if she were shy. But it just came off as creepy instead. What she said next didn’t really help the creepy factor. “Nice pajamas.” She watched him pick up the slip of paper and tapped her foot on the floor, but it made no sound since it was on the corner of a pillow. “Have you found out the meaning of those scraps yet?” she questioned.

Sleepover // Timewarped Julia Julia's eyes widened as the view outside of her window changed into something completely different. And I was beginning to think that had simply been a really weird dream. It was now just over a week ago, the time she had met Salsa in the room with the walking fish. Could this be the same place? At least this time there were a couple people nearby who looked similar to dleki - young ones, at that. "Is this that paradox place?" She remembered that it had a name, but she couldn't quite recall it. Something to do with paradoxes, that was all she could get. It felt even more strange to ask such a question to people who appeared young.

Only Limit Is Your Imagination // Julia Julia followed after Salsa, still trying not to get too close. At the question, she gave another scan of the room. While the floor was covered in greenery, the walls and ceiling were completely white. No doors could be seen. "Maybe there's a secret exit?" she suggested, walking over to a wall. As soon as one of her hands touched it, a brick was pressed in and part of the wall moved back. There was some sort of chamber behind it, but it was much too dark to see anything inside. Stepping back, her eyes widened in surprise. She certainly hadn't been expecting anything to happen that fast. "Wow."

Sleepover room -- au Samuel -- Sησω Razzle Dazzle"Yes," said Samuel to Julia. He had no idea who she was, but he blinked several times at her. "This is the Paradox House." He looked over at Ougi and arched his eyebrows. "Who are both of you?" He turned the piece of paper over, noticing the writing on the other side. Becoming friends starts with names. It seemed pretty useless, so he dropped it on the ground. "What's this room?" he asked instead, purposefully not following what the paper said.

Ougi’s coal-like eyes widened slightly with intrigue at Julia. She allowed Samuel to be the one to answer though, just relishing in the exchange from the sidelines. The question from Samuel even surprised her. “Oshino Ougi,” she introduced. It was the first time she got to introduce herself since her ‘uncle’ had saved her, and officially allowed her to have the name. She had hoped to share the news with Arthur prior to the realization that it was too late. “Who are you?” She asked. As the question left her mouth, her eyes trapped the piece of paper that was falling to the ground and her hand-paw, that is-reached forward to reel it in. “If you’re a true comedian, you have to stop using notecards someday.”

Sleepover room -- Samuel -- Razzle Dazzle"I've never been a comedian," said Samuel, scowling a bit. "It's just scraps of paper that are all around here. There are a couple around your feet. I have no idea what use they are." He shook his head and looked away. Ougi had introduced herself with a first and last name. He wasn't willing to do the same. "Samuel," he answered. He placed both hands behind his back and looked around the room again. "Is there a point to the room?" He waved at the closet across the room. "Is there something in there?" He didn't know if he wanted to deal with a room right now, but he tried to be polite anyway. He looked over at the collection of food on the counter as well, but ignored it a second later.

Sleepover // Timewarped Julia "I'm Julia," the short woman answered. The Paradox House. So that was full name of the place. Whether she needed to remember it or not depended on if she would be back here, but this and her first visit were both completely out of the blue - nothing could be estimated. For now, it seemed best to focus on the situation at hand. "Maybe the slips of paper give us clues on how to get out?" She looked down towards her feet to see if any were near her. She couldn't help but cringe a little as she noticed her change of outfit. Instead of her normal dress, she was in a set of pajamas. The top was a short-sleeved white shirt with large flower patterns on it, ranging from lavender to magenta to light pink. The bottom was a pair of magenta pants. On her feet were white fuzzy slippers. I swear, if I blink out while wearing this. The one positive was that there was a slip of paper near her. In fact, it was partially under her right foot. She stepped to the side and picked it up. Thankfully, it didn't seem to be crushed despite where she had been standing a minute ago. "A great way to make friends is learning things about them, such as their favorite food."

Sleepover / ougi (rabbit pajamas)-samuel-julia Ougi shrugged, dismissing Samuel's response. It was almost like he was offended at being called a comedian. "They don't appear to have any use. Yet. I'm sure upon further inspection it will be a little clearer," she told him, as though she had already figured it out and was just waiting for the others to do the same. "Nice to meet you both, Samuel and Julia. Oh, a closet, I see... Those are very good for hiding secrets," the student said in a muffled murmur, raising one paw up to her chin while she spoke. "Speaking of secrets, we're sharing favorite foods now?" Her gaze traveled to Julia and her mouth curled into a smile. Even though... favorite foods were not really anything to be secretive about.

Sleepover room -- au Samuel -- talkin' to Ougi and Julia
"Eh?" asked Sam in confusion, looking at Julia. He honestly didn't know why he'd want to make friends. Not that he didn't want to, but ... he looked between Julia and Ougi. It seemed like this was ... He didn't know, his head wasn't good at finishing the sentence. He rubbed his hands up and down his arms, but finally said, "Knowing my favorite food isn't that big a deal, but I like pasta and ice cream." He allowed a flickering smile to play across his face. He wasn't sure what to think of that sort of thing now. Food wasn't the same. But he hadn't changed his opinion about those two types yet, so he supposed he'd say he still liked them. "I am interested in what's in the closet, though," he said to Ougi. He kept his attention on Julia as well, wondering if she would list her favorite food or some other attempt to make friends. Was that the purpose of this room?

Sleepover // Timewarped Julia "Unless talking about our favorite foods will cause an exit to appear out of thin air, these notes don't seem to be helpful," Julia stated, dropping the piece of paper she had read back onto the floor. She wasn't quite ready to drop the theory, however - she had no idea what to expect, especially because of the things she had seen on her first blink. "I'm willing to check out the closet," the woman added. In part, she hoped that it would assist the group in solving the room. This was the last place where she wanted to make friends.

“Hmm... my facorite food is... yakisoba? No, hamburger...” Ougi tilted her head slowly, her whole body drifting as if she were sinking into the floor. It was contradictory, to an extent, that she could be so certain of other people’s motives and yet completely indecisive about her menial preferences. Her expression said she was slightly offended that Julia didn’t share her favorite food with the group. She was willing to move on to the closet question though. “All right, all right... Let’s take a look then.” She pivoted on one foot and stepped forward, strolling over to the closet. One hand was already extended to open it.

(Sorry for the holdup. ^^ )
Sleepover room -- au Samuel -- Razz and Snow
Samuel looked over Ougi's shoulder, hiding his slightly annoyed expression. Ougi had been indecisive and Julia had flat out not answered at all. This wasn't, Sam thought, particularly fair. Why did he have to say things about himself when the others didn't. Still, there was the closet. Which was ... big. It was practically a walk-in one, with a ton of shelves along the edges. But, as far as Sam saw, no exit. Since this rooms purpose was friend making it didn't seem like they'd be exiting until such a thing happened. He pointed along the shelves. "Looks like some board games." The closet had a whole lot more than that in it. There was even a TV shoved into the far corner of the closet, complete with video game controllers and things. Sam side-eyed those.

Sleepover // Timewarped Julia Julia's face shifted into a slightly annoyed expression as she took a look at what was in the closet. That didn't seem any more helpful than the paper slips. "Well, I've always been a fan of ham sandwiches," she bluntly stated. A few moments passed and nothing happened. At this point, she was out of ideas. She took a small step back and waited for the others to make a move.

Touka blinked into the sleepover room, turning to look over her shoulder. “Hurry. I’m not sure when...” She stopped, and, realizing where she was, took a breath. It was hard to go from ‘urgent battle situation’ to...whatever this was in the space of seconds...her heart was still pounding with adrenaline, her mind still racing with strategies and scenarios. And she knew when she went back, it would be just as difficult to go from 0 to 100 just as quick. Hopefully whatever lapse in concentration she suffered wouldn’t end up messing with the raid. This one was important. She shifted in place, and only then realized that her clothing, too had changed. Before, she’d been wearing sturdy street clothes and a light cloak - now, she was covered only by a long, blue cotton nightgown.

Sleepover / ougi (rabbit pajamas)-samuel-julia-touka Ougi's eyes scanned the entirety of the closet. She didn't seem disappointed that there was no exit; the longer the search, the more interesting it would become. But, like Samuel, she presumed the exit would not be found by physical searching alone. She smirked at Julia's effort to complete the trifecta. "Ham sandwiches..." She nodded, almost solemnly, as if such a statement required a lot of thinking. Thankfully, Touka blinked in to break the student's concentration. "Oh hello," she greeted the ghoul, raising one hand-or, bunny paw rather-to the newcomer. "What is your favorite food?" she questioned out of the blue.

“Hmm...oh, me?” Touka turned, blinking as she realized the girl was talking to her and not one of her other companions. She didn’t know any of them off the top of her head - she thought maybe she’d seen Ougi around, though, once or twice. “Coffee,” she blurted, because it seemed more appropriate than the alternative. And it was mostly true, anyway. “I like mine black.” A pause. “Uh. So what about you?” This room was weird, but she wasn’t complaining. She’d rather make small talk than fight her way through a blizzard or get stuck in the riddle room again.
