Sorry, poofed mintedstar/fur🦇 ooh that sounds good) Touka looked around, considering this question for the first time. "Dunno...maybe there's a drain or something?" Curious, she started scanning the floor of the pool with her eyes, looking for any sign of an exit. "I don't see anything, though."

"Kid didn't find anything either and I think, well, he thought, that Arlo had already searched the pool anyway," said Pajarito, looking down into the pool. She scowled a little more. She wanted out of this place. Then she looked around a little more. "Uh, speaking of which, there aren't any drains. Anywhere." She looked down at the pool with a frown. "Where's the water from the waterslide going?"

(Ack sorry, I was making dinner)
Matteo blinked in confusion, looking around from where he was half swimming. That was a good point. Maybe it worked similar to a bathtub. If there was no drain, wouldn't it just overflow? "Uh..." the little boy noticed that he could no longer touch the bottom of the pool with his tiptoes. It wasn't a huge difference, but he was able to notice. He pulled himself up the ladder and out of the pool. "There's nowhere for the water to go then?"

(No problem. *points to time stamps* I disappeared for an hour. )
"I wonder if it's slowly filling up," said the pigeon girl, crouching down and marking the place that was just above the water with a finger. After about 30 seconds, the water was brushing her finger. "Yep. Slowly rising. Though it seems to be going really slowly." She cast her gaze up at the top of the slide, where water was being pumped out to made the plastic slick. "Though it might go faster, since this is the House."

Matteo stared at her, frowning some now that she had proved what's he was thinking. "Oh...well this probably isn't going to be good," he mumbled quietly, soon looking away and toward the water slides. "Since it's slowly filling up, should we go up to the enterance of the watch slides? Or should we start looking for a way out?"

Pajarito shrugged. "We should probably check the entrance to the waterslide. I mean, people have gone down it, but no one has tried the actually stairs to do it yet." Plus, it was a good a place to start looking for an entrance as any. The water was almost over-flowing the pool now. It did appear to be rising faster. The shapeshifter cast one more look at the water level, then she started walking towards the slide.

Matt was soon distracted by the water that was now just beginning to overflow the pool. He jumped a bit, backing away before running after Pajarito, his eyes now locked on the waterslides. "I just bought it might be better to get higher than the pool with the water rising..." The little boy now grabbed her hand as he walked. "Maybe I shouldn't go around saying stuff about the House being nice. Every time I say that, something like this happens. A-anyways, I hope you can swim."
(edit: might be poofy since it's storming)

(Alright. ) "Don't know about swimming, but I can fly," said Pajarito. She was just worried about Matt at this point. He couldn't swim, could he? She started climbing the stairs for the waterslide, looking down at each step to make sure that there wasn't something they missed. "I don't believe there are any doors within the pool. Kid wrote that he was down there, plus a lot of other blinkers have been dunked in it. It's either the slide, the walls, floor around the pool, or the ceiling." She looked up at the ceiling. "I could possibly fly up there and see."

"Yeah I know you can fly," Matteo replied with a giggle, smiling up at her. His eyes wandered toward the walls, then up toward the ceiling. "Knowing the House, I think that it would be in the most difficult place to reach." He let go of her hand, stopping on one of the steps before continuing. "So you can go check if you want. I'll meet you at the top."

Pajarito nodded once, shifting into a pigeon and taking wing. She flew up until she could look down on everything. Then she turned her gaze to the ceiling, searching for anything that could be a door. Banking to the left, she looked over the nearest part of the ceiling. Turning, she looked at the next part, finding nothing. She had to turn again as the wall came up, going back the way she had come. Her eyes passed over everything until she finally caught a glimpse of a square of discolored ceiling. That had to be it! It looked the right size. She flew back down to Matt, checking the water level as she went. The water was up about half of the stairs now. "Found the door. I think," she said as she turned back into her human form.

((Sure! I'll blink arlo back in now ^^ ))
Arlo appeared on the stairs, her feet several inches under the water. She sighed and climbed the rest of the way up the stairs to the to of the slide. "Sometimes I hate being right," she said as she looked out over the flooded room. She'd just been wondering if the room was going to flood last time she'd been there, which to her was only about ten minutes ago.

"Right about the room flooding, Arlo?" asked Pajarito, sitting on the top of the railing. She leaned back, seeming unworried about the height. She was looking up at where she thought the slightly discolored part of the ceiling was. She'd have to wait for someone with hands, since she'd have to shift to get up there. She couldn't swim, so she would have to fly.

(Arlo and Pajarito haven't met have they? I can't remember)
"Yeah... I don't think I've seen you here before, have you been blinking for very long?" Arlo asked the pigeon. She must have been blinking long enough to hear her name somewhere, but Arlo didn't remember seeing her before. She followed the bird's gaze to a discolored square on the ceiling. "Is that the door?"

( They have not, from what I remember. Kid has drawn Arlo in his notebook and Pajarito reads Kid's notebook, so knows both what she looks like and her name. + everything else Kid knows, really.)
"We have not met," agreed the bird girl, still looking up. "I have been blinking in a little longer than Shinichi Kudo and a little shorter than Kaitou Kid." She used his thief name, finding it easier to use than the other two names he used here. She pointed up with a thin finger. "When I flew up there it did appear that it could be the door. But I cannot open it in my bird form. I'll need to wait for the room to fill enough with water for someone to do it while swimming."

((Oh ok ^^))
"Oh, you're from their world then? I knew magic existed there, but I didn't know there were shapeshifters," said Arlo, taking a step toward the slide and looking down at the water. The higher the water got, the faster it seemed to rise, so hopefully they wouldn't be stuck there for very much longer. "Alright, seems easy enough. I'll open it when the water gets higher," she replied.

"My abilities come from a spell," explained Pajarito. "A curse, if you will." She also watched the water, not very willing to talk as usual. But they probably had a few more minutes, so she asked. "Did you ever see your family again after leaving the island?" Where Kid hadn't asked the question when he had been in the orchard room, Pajarito had no problem asking it. Though it might bring up the question on how she knew that information.

"Oh, I hadn't heard of spe-" Arlo froze, not even finishing the word. She turned to look at the bird girl and blinked a few times, shocked by her question. How did you... Oh. Right. She'd meant to ask Katio not to repeat what she'd told him, but she'd forgotten. Hopefully Pajarito was the only person he'd told, it wasn't really something she wanted everyone to know. "No," she answered finally, turning to look at the water again. "I never saw them after I left the island."

(I'll have to poof soon. ) Pajarito shrugged. "That was the only question I had then." Everything else seemed to be pretty obvious to her. She was slightly aware of the other blinkers discomfort at her knowing more of her backstory, but ignored it. Kid would have to deal with it. He was the one who wrote in a notebook. He was the one who let the bird girl read it. The water was starting to lap at their feet now. Pajarito waited, ready to turn into her bird form.

(aw, okay.) "I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone what you heard from Kid," said Arlo, sounding slightly irritated. She didn't look back at the bird girl, she just focused on the rising water. "I'm going to head over to the door. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to it yet, but I'll try," she told Pajarito before jumping into the water and swimming toward the door. She was glad that the other girl had been right, if the square on the ceiling hadn't the door they would have been in trouble. Arlo floated under the door until the water level finally raised enough for her to grab the handle and pull it down.

(I assume back to the living room?) Pajarito had had to shift into a bird before she could say anything more. After that she had flown above the rising water. As soon as Arlo had the door open, the pigeon flew up and into the opening, eager to get out of there. She alighted on the back of the couch, shifting into a human again and nearly tipping the couch back. She waited for the other blinker to get back into the living room as well, crest of feathers on her head flared in agitation.

((sounds good ^^)) Arlo scrambled up through the doorway into the living room as quickly as she could. She closed the door behind her, splashing a bit of water onto the carpet. Looking down at the door, she wondered if it would disappear completely, or of it would just be hidden under a rug or something.

"That's normal for the House, I guess," said Pajarito, looking down. "Though that's the first time I've heard of one leading to the floor of the living room. The ceilings happened four times now, according to Kaitou's notebook." She turned her head a little, looking down at Arlo. "You seemed to think he told me, by the way. He didn't. I just read his notebook." She held up her hands, still balancing on the back of the couch, though it was only just holding her weight without tipping over. She held them to about the size of the thief's notebook. "You know. The one he showed you."

((sorry for poof))
Arlo nodded. "Yeah, doors in the ceiling are pretty common here," she replied as she stepped away from the door. Hearing the word 'notebook' she turned to look at Pajarito again. "I've seen it, yeah... Did he know you were reading it?" She didn't sound quite as irritated as she had before when she'd left to open the door in the pool room. How many times had Jasper and Vyra looked at stuff in her own notebook? Maybe even Lucian, though she doubted that he would admit it...
