Name: Gage Years since assembly: 2 Description: Gage was a prototype robot that was planned to be used in military operations. His model seems similar to Buck's, but his body plating, head and limbs appear to be more angular, and his head appears to have a part many people compare to a coyote's snout. His paint job is jet black wish a splash of bright yellow from LEDs on his face plate, arm joints, knee joints and back. Since Gage was early in development before everything got destroyed, a few features are missing, such as a voice module. He tries to communicate by changing the color of his LEDs; for example, he turns them to red when he's angry or in primal form, yellow when he's normal, green when happy, blue when sad, etc. They key feature of Gage is his primal form, where he reverts to all fours and gains a large boost to his mobility and speed. Short claws that expand from his fingers and feet allow him to both slice open his opponents and climb rubble and buildings. Gear: Gage tends to walk around in the bare flesh...er, metal. Weapons: Not counting his primal form, Gage's only weapon is a basic handgun. Other: Sometimes Gage can have trouble telling friend from foe in his primal form.
(Finally decided on a character lol. I very much like robots xD)

Bangs and clanks echoed through the streets as Gage dug through the hood of a broken down car. Occasionally he ripped out a piece of scrap, and if he found it valuable, he'd stuff it into a worn backpack. If it proved to be useless, he tossed it to the side, resulting in another loud "crash" or two. He closed the hood of the car and started to move to a pickup truck before he stopped dead in his tracks. He turned his head in the direction of a somewhat distant conversation. Hiding his scrap bag in the pickup truck, he began to move towards the source of the sound, his LEDs flashing a cautious orange.

Name: Sonnet Evershine Age: 19 Description: Sonnet has long, never cut, straight brown hair. Her eyes are a comforting shade of brown, and have a soft look to them, which matches her soft face. Her skin is tanned, and a few freckles peek out on her cheeks. She has long eyelashes, and good eyebrows. She's average height, 5'5, and fairly strong. Sonnet is shy, curious, reserved, intelligent, and adaptable. She loves to tinker with mechanisms, and despite her parents wish that she would study English, as they had dreamed for her to do. Her parents were rather big hippies, but she's respects their views and even shares a few. Gear: she has thick, dark green gloves, a jumpsuit that she wears, often with the top half tied around her waist, various tools for tinkering, and her mother's notebook. Weapons: She can't really fight, but she will hit someone with her wrench if necessary. Other: "Damsel in Distress" archetype faceclaim

Sonnet, drawn to the loud noises from a block over, came invesihating. She stood behind the protection of a curimbling barrier, watching the robot with amazement and fascination. As the lights changed, she let out an audible gasp, unaware of what she had just did.

Gage stopped dead again as he heard another noise, closer this time. The still air of the once busy city didn't exactly make it difficult to hear the echoes of a sound bounce off the crumbling architecture. He turned and began to move towards the source of the new sound, his head tilted slightly to the side in a curious confusion. His LEDs flashed as he walked down the cracked pavement with heavy footsteps.

Sonnet knew she should be feeling some mix of fear or panic, but frankly all she felt was a child-like amazement. Slowly, she peeked out from behind her hiding spot, showing only her eyes so she could get a better view.

(Sorry, meant to get on earlier.) Vanessa silently trailed the robot, her feet barely making a sound as she maneuvered the abandoned streets. This target wasn’t even making attempts to conceal its presence. A welcome gift, she supposed, but still… It gave her a bad feeling that maybe the robot knew something was going on, and that was why it suddenly started moving. Still, Vanessa couldn’t let her own fears get in the way of her survival. Resources were growing scarcer, and any job she could get would help keep her shelves stocked. Letting out a slight breath, Vanessa continued after the robot, hand ready to reach for her blade if a fight occurred.

Gage's confusion grew as he thought he saw something move from behind a concrete barrier. He began to approach slowly, unaware that he was being followed by another, more dangerous human. His LEDs switched from the soft yellow to a vibrant green in an attempt to let the human know he meant no harm.

With mouth hanging slightly ajar, Sonnet slowly stood up fully, staring into the face of the robot. "You're wonderful," she breathed, showing a high admiration for the colors he displayed, and wondered what each one could mean.

Gage appeared to perk up a little at the remark. He raised his right arm and waved his hand in greeting. He stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do; he rarely encountered humans who didn't just shoot at him first, let alone compliment him.

Sonnet practically leaped in joy at how remarkably friendly he was! Raised to never really understand the rules of personal space, the girl immediately sprung up to investigate the robot and how it worked, looking from every angel and murmuring various praises and questions beneath her breath.

Gage tilted his head in minor confusion as the human began to inspect him. But she seemed to be very happy about him! He let the human investigate him a bit more before getting an idea. He looked around for a moment before grabbing a broken piece of pavement off of the ground. Using it like a child's chalk stick, he etched the name "Gage" into the ground before gesturing towards himself, trying to indicate his name.
