[Honestly, I don't mind. I'm still thinking up my animal, squirrel was the first thing that came to mind, idk. If you think of a predator I might be able to come up with a prey animal of the same size?] I honestly wanted to rp a bear :'3 If you have prey in mind for that, then great. If not, it doesn't matter to me.

[Ooh, a bear, okay! If we're going for something that big then for a prey animal we're probably thinking a bison or something? Bears prey on them and they're pretty big]

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧(That's fine. Here's something) Viktor was sitting up in the stands with his friends, looking down into the arena where the show was going on. The brown bear, dressed in a a white shirt, brown pants and a brown trench coat, with a fedora to match, was one of the predators overseeing the operation going on underground. Where the arena was. A young buck was being backed up by a mean-looking wolf, who snapped his jaws at the prey animal. The buck swung his sharp antlers, causing the wolf to jump back. "You grab his antlers!" the large brown bear snapped at the wolf with his thick accent "I pay good money for your doses, and I don't want it wasted!" Glancing as a lioness brought him a drink and a cigar, the cigar having night howler shreds in it, his brown eyes watched the arena still as he took a sip, listening to the crowds yelling and screaming. "Too many survive in the ring with him," a lion who sat with him spoke "Stop supplying him, yes? He can't even hurt a stupid buck." Viktor nodded, snorting "Stop the fight, Andrew. The buck goes free, and send Mike on his way. He is not to come back here unless he wants to be thrown in the ring." Andrew nodded, the lion getting up to go stop the fight. Snorting, Viktor huffed "That's what I get for picking favorites." Scratching his chin with his free paw, he watched Mike get taken out of the ring. Looking over his shoulder, he waited for the next bout to start, knowing someone else was taking care of it. He lit his cigar as the next two were brought out, a doe and a female black bear. Taking a drag, and then blowing out a puff of smoke, he grunted in content as he felt the effects of the night howler. He laughed along with the others as the bear just started beating on the doe, who shrieked and cried. "You see?" Viktor laughed to another one of his friends "There's someone who gets it done. Not that weak crap that Mike was doing." Soon, the grizzly was growling and yelling along with the other druggies there, watching the beat down going on.

Stealth, as much as he hated to admit it, was not Cian's strong suit. He only took comfort in the fact that he was only bad at it because he was at a disadvantage already, being a bison. Which were not exactly known for their abilities at blending in, what with them being so gigantic.
The bison was dressed in dark clothes, though, which was his only hope at not being immediately noticed. The soft clicking of his hooves could be heard in the echoing space of the abandoned subway lines. This was where he had been told to go. No other explanation. Just the instructions to go here and look for some sort of underground entrance. This was where Viktor would be, according to his predator friends.
Cian, after searching through the dim light, eventually found the entrance. It was pitch black in there, but as he descended he could already hear yelling, and what could possibly be…music? Or chanting or something, he couldn't tell quite yet. He was determined to find out what was going on with his friend, but was he really this determined? DId he really, truly, want to know? He knew something was very wrong. Nothing good could be down here. He just didn't know exactly what kind of trouble his friend had gotten himself into quite yet.
The bear had been becoming more and more distant with Cian, though the two had been childhood friends. Somehow, he'd seemed angrier and more dismissive. Something was…cold…about him now. Though Cian hardly saw his "friend" often enough to be able to even say that about him. Something very untoward was happening. But Cian felt that, for the sake of whatever was left of Cian and Viktor's friendship, he had to find out. And Viktor was hardly going to tell him himself, which meant Cian had to turn to rather more desperate measures.
The cheering was becoming louder now as Cian moved deeper and deeper underground. It smelt musty down here, and the air was smoky and…tangy? What was going on down there? It sounded savage, whatever it was, and the bison almost stopped and turned back. But he knew he couldn't. He just couldn't. It was as if a magnet was pulling him deeper and deeper into the Earth. And it wouldn't stop until he found Viktor.
It began to become lighter again, telling Cian that he was almost there. Only a little further, and then he could finally understand what was happening. Not far now. Then he emerged into the full horror of the scene.
[I'm sorry there wasn't much progression in that post, I wasn't 100% sure what the reaction should be when he just suddenly pops up there, so I kind of left it open.]

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧(It's alright) Cian didn't get too far after entering the area. Andrew had returned, the lion coming up behind the bison and saying simply "I think you're in the wrong place, buddy. The seating is back that way. Unless you want to be next in the arena?" The way he spoke though, made it sound like Cian was going in whether he liked it or not. Grabbing the bison by an arm, he began pulling him away from the area, taking him somewhere. As they went through different passages and such, it was full of druggies. There must be a difference though, because some night howler addicts were calmer than others. Probably an advent in the drug development. Andrew brought Cian up to where Viktor and his crew were sitting. "Look who I found," the lion said. Viktor looked over his shoulder, then said as he looked away "Come sit with me, Cian." Andrew herded the bison over to a seat beside the brown bear, sitting him down whether he liked it or not. Taking another drag of his cigar, he blew out a puff of smoke, not looking at the other male still as he watched the fighting continue. "How did you get down here, hm?" he then asked, accent giving his words a soft rumble as he spoke, removing his cigar to take a drink of the small glass in his hand. Setting the glass down, he finally looked at Cian again, continuing "A relationship is built on trust, and I know for fact you wouldn't be here if it didn't have to do with me." He wasn't mad at him or anything. Viktor just tended to come off as a little intimidating all the time. And currently, he was deciding what to do about his now didn't friend. The bear didn't take his eyes off of him as he waited for an answer, head tilted slightly as he rolled his cigar sightly in his sharp claws.

The whole encounter with the lion had gone by so quickly that Cian hadn't even had a change to speak before he was pulled over to Viktor and seated beside him. Cian didn't even have to look at his friend to know what was in the cigar. And to know that he was already lost to the night-howlers.
After the bear had spoke, Cian responded with "Because, Viktor, you were acting differently, and you were never going to tell me why. I spoke to some friends of yours who sent me here. I didn't know what it was. And, to be honest, Viktor, you shouldn't be the one acting high-and-mighty here, talking about trust. Because I did trust you, and, well...look at this place! Clearly you aren't to be trusted"
Cian was angry, and he knew he was pushing his luck. He refused to look at the fighting or his friend, instead choosing to look at anything else. He didn't know what was going to happen, but it wasn't going to be good anyway. Might as well give Viktor a piece of his mind while he could. Cian wasn't the type to shy away, even in this situation.

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧(As long as it's five or more sentences, it's good to go :3) "You aren't to be trusted either," Viktor said gruffly as he turned away again "Not enough to not come looking around for me. Snooping. So, unfortunately, I can't let you go free. You will just go to the Zootopian Police, hm?" Watching as the black bear cut her claws across the doe's arm, he waved the lioness over from earlier. "Call Ricky," he said, tipping the female "You tell him to prep guest room at my place. I will be checking out early today." The lioness nodded before turning to leave. Viktor sighed again, putting out his cigar in a nearby tray. The bear watched the doe in arena get dragged out, barely moving. Draining his glass, he said to Cian "You just put yourself on the thinnest ice in Tundratown, Cian. We will see if I can grow to tolerate you again." Handing his glass to alter a another waitress, he then stood up, waiting for the bison to rise too. "You are lucky I had soft spot for you before," he commented, taking out his phone to look through it casually "Or else I would just throw you in the arena. Now, get up. I don't need to be waiting on you."

"I'm sorry, I didn't realise it was a crime to be concerned when your friend starts acting so strange," Cian replied sarcastically as he stood "And I'm sure you think I should be falling at your feet in gratitude for not being thrown in that arena. You disgust me. I don't care how much trouble I'm in, Viktor, because I'll always tell you straight. Just like I always have."
Cian had always told Viktor the truth, he'd always been straightforward and blunt with him. It was part of why they were friends in the first place. Viktor appreciated honesty, and so did Cian. Evidently Viktor wasn't quite so honest anymore, since he hadn't told him about any of this. Since he'd been acting so different.
Cian should probably have been a lot more afraid in this situation. Perhaps if it weren't Viktor, he would have been. But he knew Viktor. And something told him that Viktor didn't truly want to hurt him. Maybe that was naive of him to think, but Cain didn't see how he could think about it any other way. They'd been such good friends in the past.

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧"I am not above getting you over my knee," Viktor said simply as another bear escorted them out "Another thing I don't like is someone who thinks they have the gall to try and assert themselves when they have no chance." They were taken outside, to a different exit from the entrance, where a large van was waiting for them, a sheep being the driver. Viktor climbed in after the door was skid open, and the second bear took Cian to the other side so he could get to the open seat beside Viktor. When everyone was settled in, the vehicle pulled away from the area. He didn't speak to Cian after that, the only talking he did being to someone who called him, discussing something about night howlers. Basically, it was as if the bison beside him wasn't worth his time to even look at. "No, I can't make it tonight, Henry," he spoke to the phone "I've got mess to clean up, you know? Oh, really? Save me some! I hear her sake is very good. Alright, see you 'round." Ending the call, he put his phone in an outside pocket on his trench coat, telling the sheep "Take the long way back. I'm in no hurry." The sheep nodded before making a turn to another street.

Cian honestly didn't know how to deal with this whole situation. He might act confident, but the bison was still pretty shaken up by these new revelations about his friend. And the way Viktor was treating him at that point was scaring him. It was nothing like his old friend.
Cian wasn't sure what Viktor had in store for him, but it probably wasn't good. He hated this whole thing, regretted even trying to find out what was going on with Viktor. Even though he couldn't have possibly guessed it would be this, Cian still had this nagging sense that he should have known all along.
The bear still hadn't spoken a word to Cian, and in response the bison did not speak either. He didn't have anything more to say. He was angry. So angry. And a little bit scared, though he made sure to not show it. Viktor would take no small pleasure in pointing it out if he did allow himself to show his fear.

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧Eventually, they were driven to Viktor's home, a large, mansion-like home in the better part of Zootopia's center. The bear made some good money off of the drugs, but his wealth came from other secrets he'd been keeping. The sheep pulled the van in the strip of road near the front entrance. He opened his own door, the sheep rushing to go open Cian's. "I recently inherited it from my mother, Oakley," he said casually about the property, walking up the steps "If you remember, she was great opera singer. And filthy stinking rich." Opening one of the doors was a doe, who stepped back to let them in. "Lily, take Cian to guest room," he told the doe "Ricky will take him to dining hall when dinner is ready." Lily nodded and spoke a soft 'okay' before motioning for Cian to follow her. "Don't you try leaving," Viktor warned the bison "Especially since I take time to treat you fair." With that, the bear turned to walk off down a nearby hallway. Lily, who waited until he was gone, seemed to relax a great deal, releasing a long breath of air before murmuring something, still leading Cian to his room.

Cian sighed once his friend was out of sigh - and out of earshot - before his gaze travelled to the doe leading him to his room. What was going on here? This all felt so stupid now.
"Why do you deal with him?" Cian asked the doe quietly "And more importantly, how?"
He might as well find out how this does managed to abide Viktor at all. After all, he had changed so much. He was horrible now, and Cian didn't understand how anyone could stand him. Was there even anything good about him anymore? The fact that Viktor hadn't thrown Cian into the arena suggested that perhaps there was still a glimmer of something good in him, but the bison wasn't a hundred percent sure yet. For all he knew, Viktor (as he had known him) was completely gone, lost forever. Replaced by this… monster.
He didn't know what kind of answer he was hoping for. Something that told him whether Viktor was still good at heart? He wasn't sure. Maybe all he sought was some comfort that there was a way to deal with this whole situation. To deal with whatever Viktor had planned for him.
Viktor had said he couldn't trust Cian enough to let him go. WHat did he mean by that? He couldn't keep Cian here forever, surely. Could he?

ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧"My mother sold me to him when I refused the request," Lily said quietly, looking around as if expecting Viktor to pop up again "Somehow got papers and everything. So my father could get treatment for an illness. I'm one of the best tailors in Zootopia. Clothes are my thing, and Viktor wanted that under his belt. Leaving would probably get my father assassinated or something." At the second question, she was quiet. Thinking it over. Then, she said "How? Um... just don't insult him. Ever, and don't question him. He hates that. It got Cornelius thrown in the arena, poor thing... he handles getting Viktor the scoop on everything and everyone." Lily eventually brought Cian to a large bedroom, that was quite nice for a guest. Stepping aside to let him in, she said "He didn't say anything about you staying in the room, so I guess you can have a look around. Just don't go into Viktor's room, and don't go into the kitchens. Ricky doesn't like interference. If you need anything, I'll be in that room down the hall over there." She pointed a hoof before asking "Er... is there anything you need? Before I go?"

"Okay, so far he's sounding just like the same Viktor, only more…night-howler. He never liked being challenged" Cian muttered as they arrived outside of the room "Okay, stay out of his room, stay out of the kitchens, got it. Thank you. As for final questions, I don't think I have any - besides, it seems that you know about as much about what's going on here as I do, so there's no point in asking. Thank you anyway, though"
He didn't know if he did want to go looking around. Especially if Viktor suddenly decided he didn't want him leaving the room. The last thing Cian needed was another confrontation with Viktor. As angry as the bar made him, Cian just didn't want to deal with him. Clearly what he had been doing so far hadn't been working, and Cian didn't want to try his luck. Not until he actually had a chance of success
Lily's story had seemed incredibly sad, to him. But then, Viktor seemed to just be treating everyone terribly anyway, so it wasn't a surprise. The fact that it didn't shock him made Cian feel even more sad. It should have been shocking, by all rights. But in comparison with everything else Viktor was doing, it just…wasn't. But it was still nothing like the Viktor Cian had once known
