"It really can. One time a boy turned in ten books, all of them dog-eared." He sighed, looking genuinely annoyed at the fact that the books where disrespected in that way, knowing he couldn't say anything to the parents without getting in trouble with his supervisor, since they would end up telling Maryanne he was rude and trying to tell them how to parent (always saying he was just a teen- what did he know about parenting? Which was funny considering he was raising a five year old, but he never said that out loud.). Neku let out a small noise when he was nudged, trying not to look too flustered by the touch, covering it with a grin, cheeks a little pink, happy it was windy so he had an excuse. "Uh- yeah, sure. What kind of books do you read?" He asked, trying to ease into a conversation, not wanting to really talk about his job, green eyes curious.

"I read mostly the same things as Kendrick, but a lot more fantasy than him. He can't stand fantasy half the time. Also more mystery, because I'm not a genius like him that can figure everything out in three chapters." Lani looked amused. She wasn't actively trying to hide that she knew Neku knew that Kendrick was Regal, so she figured it was fine to make some references to his identity issues. "What about you?" She didn't say that Kendrick had texted her about spending the whole day reading. She thought that would seem like a bit too much. Kendrick looked happy that they were attempting some sort of conversation. Lani was awfully shy, and Neku seemed shy too, so he'd worried just a little about how they got along. He'd heard some people call Lani stuck up before, but she really just didn't smile if she didn't have to. She had one of those resting faces, he supposed.

A small smile danced on his face for a moment, amused at her description of Kendrick, although he had gotten that feeling as well. "Well- I read just about anything, but I prefer fantasy and if I'm in the mood realistic fiction sometimes. Currently I'm reading a book called Graceling- well, I should say rereading it for the hundredth time. Have you read it?" He asked, warming up a little as they walked towards the library, relaxing when he started talking about his safe subject: books. He wasn't paying attention when they crossed the street, stepping onto the asphalt before he realized a car was coming, jumping back in alarm when he heard the honking, jumping back into the two, righting himself before they crossed the street, a little embarrassed.

"Can't say I have," Lani hummed. "I've been pretty into realistic fiction recently, myself. It's interesting, although a bit exasperating. The real world isn't quite as pleasant as realistic fiction likes to pretend it is." She fancied herself something of a realist, so she got a little irritated with some books. Most of the time, she liked the plot, but romance novels were completely beyond her for all that she liked the idea of a romance. "Whoa there!" Kendrick laughed as Neku jumped back from the car. "You okay there?" Lani eyed him as he quietly fussed over Neku in his own way. Her best friend had never showed so much interest in a boy before. It was interesting to her, and she did want him to date someone. He deserved to know what it was like, even if she never did. Neku seemed nice, so she wouldn't give him the shovel talk just yet.

(No problem~ I'll just introduce him.)
"You know loitering is illegal, right? Oh my go- You aren't stalking someone again, are you? We told you-"
"I am not."
Diarmuid huffed, turning away from his frazzled 'manager' to hide the fact that his eyes were paling in something akin to embarrassment at the reminder of that particular... incident. "I was not- I- That had nothing to do with this." He finished lamely, lengthening his strides in an effort to put some distance between them. Unfortunately, his efforts proved ineffective as she stood well above him at almost 5'7 and easily kept pace, frowning down at him like a harried mother.
"Then what were you doing lurking around Eerie Academy? Security was pissed! I almost got shot! It could've been worse!" She waved her hands around as if to illustrate this. Somehow. And ended up yanking his hood over his head in the course of working through the after effects of another demon-induced panic.
"And keep your hood up! We don't want anyone recognizing you!"
Mavis Darcy was a recent college graduate and the unfortunate employee often saddled with Pax Corp's latest wayward 'project'. Almost everything she said ended in an exclamation point, and she constantly smelled of coffee and stress. Diarmuid tried to make peace with her, but it seemed he had yet to discover the secret to getting her to speak to him in an indoor voice. At least she wasn't afraid of him, she was too concerned over her job and caffeine intake.
He tugged bitterly at the ragged edge of his hood, obligingly lowering his head with a wistful smile. "I wanted to see the school. Up close."
Mavis barely managed to stop herself from running a hand through the severe sloe bun that was already coming loose. She was still wearing her work clothes, he noted absently. Though there was a suspicious stain on the side of her aubergine pencil skirt and a tear in her tie.
"For an entire hour?" She demanded suspiciously, arching a carefully plucked brow even as she yanked him away from the curb by his collar. He had yet to remember the rules of 'right-of-way'. "You don't even know which one you would go to-" Diarmuid brightened. "Hypothetically." He dimmed, but only slightly. Her tone was negative but he wasn't sure what 'hypothetically' meant so there was still hope. "I mean, how old are you even? You could pass as my little brother." She eyed him with open curiosity, the abrupt change in her mood throwing him for a loop. Another aspect of humanity he had difficulty adjusting to. Where he was from, if you were angry, you could remain in that state for a century or so and there'd better be a good reason for the loss of your foul mood. Humans just flipped between emotions like they changed channels- Or so he assumed. Perhaps he only knew especially mercurial ones.
Diarmuid unconsciously assumed the 'at ease' position he adopted at perceived commands. "In human years? Perhaps..." He did some mental calculations, then gave up because he had no idea what he was doing. "Twenty- Teen?" He drew out slowly, staring blankly at the sun.
Mavis stared at him for a beat, then turned with a sigh and gestured for him to follow her to the company car- An unassuming silver Honda that she'd attempted to park out of the way of Eerie's luxury and sports cars.
He felt discomfort at her distinctly unimpressed response, gloved fingers absently twirling a lock of hair as he followed at a more sedate pace. "No more than 25." He continued, "I believe..." It was difficult to keep track. Not that his life was boring- it was the exact opposite.
Perhaps hearing something in his tone- difficult as it was to make sense of- Mavis gave him a reassuring smile from the driver's seat and awkwardly patted his shoulder. This action earned her a confused though pleased smile. Or attempt at it.
"Don't worry about it! I mean, that means you'll never need plastic surgery! Unless you want to look, uh, manlier... I mean I'm pretty sure you could be accepted into grade school as you are." Her last words were delivered in a mutter. Diarmuid could hear her, but he wasn't sure whether or not she was complimenting him. Even so, he responded with another smile and didn't complain when she stabbed a finger at his seatbelt.
He put it on obediently, though he doubted the damage a car crash could do to him when he'd been through much worse.
"Do you think- Is it possible that I could-" Though his expression remained clear, Diarmuid was disappointed in his inability to properly articulate himself. He was in the midst of tangling his fingers in his hair when Mavis responded with a wince and brief glance at the Academy in her rearview mirror.
"I don't know, Decimate. You kinda just got off probation. You've got a lot of work to do before the Big Boss trusts you with people, y'know?"
"Diarmuid." He corrected softly. And then belatedly, "I know."
"Hey!" She suddenly blurted, infusing false cheer into her tone. "They didn't say anything about coming right back, so how about I take you to the library and you can get another one of your nerd books?" The temperature in the car began to skyrocket before she could even complete the sentence.
"Really?" Diarmuid turned too-bright eyes on the woman currently in a state of deep regret. The leather of his seat was beginning to melt.
"Really." Her smile was thin. She hated disappointing him, but she also hated being threatened with demotion. Mavis laughed nervously. "But stay in the car-" Her purse began to float. "-and please stop doing whatever you're doing."
(Sorry! I haven't roleplayed in a while and I tried to keep with your formats... Also stalking is not okay. And I'll better explain the story behind that later. ^^' It wasn't 'romantic' or anything. The opposite, actually...)

Neku let out an embarrassed laugh, his cheeks turning a bit red when Kendrick fussed over him, rubbing the back of his neck, it being clear for a moment that he liked the boy, before shaking the other boy off gently, even if it was just metaphorically, telling himself it was just a friend asking if he was alright, nothing more. "I'm fine. I'm just not the best at paying attention to traffic. I guess I'm gonna have to pay attention more to traffic," He managed, glancing at the two, his eyes nervous when he realized he just embarrassed himself in front of... whatever Lani was to him. He shifted on his feet before they started walking, fixing his scarf again, his worry making his arms nervous.

{ Rockabye.Baebsae First of all, I love your profile picture. I haven't had a chance to play the April Fools DLC yet, unfortunately. Second, wow that's long. You don't quite need to have every response be that long, ahaha. You're doing fine} -- "You have to be careful in this city regardless of whether or not there's traffic," Kendrick huffed, but there was a mostly playful undertone to his words. He wasn't completely oblivious to how Neku was a lot more nervous around Lani than he was with him. He gently nudged him and smiled reassuringly at him. "Hey," he said softly enough that Lani could at least pretend not to hear, "you know you don't have to be nervous around Lani, right? She's nice when she warms up to you. She's just not really sure what to do right now. I promise it'll get easier." Making friends with her had been like pulling teeth, but it really did get better eventually. She was so much more outgoing now than she had been when he first forced his friendship on her.

Neku gave his friend a hesitant nod, and a small smile, glancing at Lani nervously. "I'm just not the best at the whole making-friends thing, unless I get caught following them," he responded, trying to make it into a joke, fiddling with the end of his scarf, feeling choked by it, wishing he could take it off. No doubt Kendrick told her about who he actually was, but he didn't want others seeing his Eyes, so he kept his scarf tightly on.

(I haven't either but I love Jumin in all his forms~ Also yes. I tried. ^^' I just came from a roleplay site where everything I wrote had to be a legit chapter, so I'm still adjusting~ I made it as short as I could, though! Let's try again...)
"Ack!" Mavis put more pressure on the breaks than was strictly necessary, her car protesting as she squeaked past a tall boy who had stepped into the street with his eyes on the other two teens behind him. "Kids these days!" She double-tapped her horn and sent him a look that he likely couldn't see through the heavily tinted windows.
Diarmuid was fairly certain that she was going on about how bold and inattentive pedestrians could be, but was too preoccupied with turning bodily in his seat- as much as the belt would allow- to watch them grow smaller as Mavis sped up. "Those are Eerie Academy uniforms." He noted with something akin to awe.
"Oh, I'm sure you'd fit right in." She grumbled, "None of them care about the mental wellbeing of those they're endangering when stepping into the street."
"Now then," Mavis finally returned her attention to the rather important task of driving as she pulled into the library parking lot. "Stay in the car and tell me what you w-"
The passenger side door was already open.
The demon was gone.
Mavis allowed her head to drop against the steering wheel, narrowly avoiding activating the horn.
"Dammit."
(So just wondering- Do we have any established NPC villains or heroes? Because I have a few but I want to check with you first- I also wanted to introduce some action but I'm totally fine if you guys want to continue with getting to know each other more. ^^)

{ EarthChip2888 Did you want me to RP the principal again?} { Rockabye.Baebsae That's alright! No NPCs currently, but you're free to introduce some! As well as some action, haha. If Clover's alright with postponing our little thing for now, that is. So far, the only things that have happened are miscommunications in romance, suspicion of aliens, a few petty crimes, and some friendships made. If you meant for the teenagers that your characters almost hit to be our characters, I'd find that quite entertaining considering two of them are superheroes and the girl is a civilian that knows their identities btw} -- "I don't think any of us are great at making friends," Kendrick chuckled. Well, he would be better at making friends if it weren't for the fact that he felt weighed down by his secret identity. He wasn't a full time hero when he'd made friends with Lani, so he wasn't as careful with how friendly he was, but after she'd found out about them, it was quickly made apparent that he couldn't risk being found out in the same way again. He was lucky his parents loved Lani well enough, or he might have been forbidden to see her again. "Everybody thinks Lani's stuck up and they think I'm just unapproachable." "If you hadn't followed Kendrick, he would have been the one caught stalking you first," Lani said, quirking her lips in amusement. "He was halfway to doing so because apparently everybody who moves to Erisil is suspicious and needs to have a background check." "Lani!" Kendrick protested, and she giggled into her hand.

(Okay~ And I did, but I wasn't sure if you guys wanted to continue as you were. I'll wait for Clover's response before starting anything. ^^ How well-known are Regal and Neku? Because Bel is a total fanboy but you mentioned that he isn't a full-timer so I'm not sure how much Bel would know about him.)

{Neku hasn't quite made his debut yet. Regal, on the other hand, is the hero of Erisil because he's known as the protege of the original heroes of the city. He's also something of a "boss" since he's of the original heroes of the city, and of course, his identity is not known to any but his family, Neku, and his best friend. He's a full time hero now, as in he'll don the suit at night and whenever he's needed, but years ago, he wasn't full time and was more of a sidekick. (I feel like this is slightly important but) my other character, Ade, is also a former superhero-turned-vigilante, although that's not common knowledge. She's changed her name and suit from when she was a superhero (and she's now known as Wild Card), but it's known that she works with Regal on occasion. I'm just stating this in case Bel has any sort of opinion on vigilantes}
--
"I don't have as much of a one-track mind as he does." Lani shook her head in exasperation. "I was actually trying to stop him from trying to stalk you, and I would have followed him in my attempts, so it might have been a good thing that you'd made the first move. He's a bit of an idiot." She noticed the black markings, but didn't say anything. Superhero business was none of her business, and that included strange markings and powers. The extent of her interference was informing Kendrick of when things were happening and making sure he and Ade didn't accidentally get themselves killed. "Which one of us is the genius here?" Kendrick not-quite-whined. "It's a precaution. Mother and Father did it too! I feel like they know everything about every new resident of Erisil, human or not." It helped that his parents were the owners of the most prestigious and influential company in the city. "Ah, but they have tact and know the art of subtly."

Neku felt his cheeks turn a pale pink at her mention of making the first move, an embarrassed cough emitting from his mouth, before frowning, grabbing his phone and reading his text message that said he didn't need to go into work today at 4, instead his shift would start at 8.they had to shut down early because of some type of emergency with the board, which happened every now and then. He smiled a bit at that, relieved he had some time to do homework. "Well, how much do you know about our classmates?" He asked, curious.

Kendrick spoke up before Lani could say 'literally everything' like she so obviously was planning. "I know some things. Like, I know the girl sitting the back right corner of our homeroom likes cosplaying and I know about a few deals going on behind the school at 2 AM. I know about the bets that are placed on me sometimes and I know that the boy I sit next to in my math class is a lot smarter than he lets on and is definitely going to start working for my father's company in the future. You know, little things." "He's understating," Lani said anyway and ignored the glare pointed her way. "He's a hacker. I wouldn't put it past him if his curiosity got the best of him."

(Thanks, the more information I have, the better~ So we've established that Bel is probably a member of Regal's fan club and that the Reys likely already know of his existence despite my seeing Pax Corp as rather big; they couldn't hold a candle to the Reys' sway. Although they'd like to. -shifty look- And I honestly hadn't even thought about his opinion on Vigilantes. I'll have to think about that... And not quite an adventure, Clover. ^^ I'd just like to see what happens if I introduce a villain early on. I also really want to see everyone's combat capabilities. ^^' One more question though, how exactly does the Hero App work? Like how much can it tell you? Is there a registry for heroes and villains?)
=
Of course immediately after her discovery that she'd been ditched by her charge, the phone just had to ring with her supervisor demanding to know how he'd managed to escape in the first place.
"No sir, of course sir- Er, what."
At that very moment, her Hero App gave a disproportionately cheerful chime and Mavis slowly moved the phone away from her ear, staring in silent shock at the bold text alert scrolling across her screen.
"Ah, I see. I'll...take care of that." If Decimate wasn't in the library she'd drown him herself. Somehow. Fresh out of university and her bleak future already looked bleaker- There was no way the idiot had decided to go somewhere quiet and calm when he could literally smell trouble and actively sought it out.
Mavis groaned, screeching out of the parking lot whilst dialing a familiar number with a shaky hand. She nearly collided with a minivan and jumped a curb. -It was a wonder how she'd gotten hired in the first place- "Decimate! I know you can hear me! Don't you dare get anywhere near that robbery! You are to remain on standby, understand?!"
It was only when she'd wound down on her rant that she heard his catchy pop ringtone, and glanced down with mute disbelief to find Decimate's specially-made phone on the singed carpet flooring of her car.
"Drowning is too good for him."
=
(I was thinking that two crimes could be going on- Perhaps a robbery of a money truck to coverup other villains attempting to break partners out of a prison transport? Or something. ^^' I was aiming for something rather small-time but still relatively challenging. Then we can probably work our way up in terms of difficulty. Or just jump right in.)

{That sounds about right. I don't know if you're familiar with the Batman universe at all, but I'm kind of basing Rey Corporations off of Wayne Enterprises (and the whole Rey family off of the Batfamily really), as in a lot of things in the city are owned by the Reys and they're a very old family too, so they've had more time to grow. The way I see it, Pax seems something like Drake Industries, where it's much newer, but still powerful, but since it's newer, it doesn't have the prestige that the Reys do nor did it have the time to grow. This probably made zero sense if you don't know anything about the Batman universe. As for the Hero App, I haven't completely figured out the details for that just yet, but as I see it, it's essentially a news app, but filtered for notifications to do with supervillain-scale crime as it's happening to make civilians aware of where to steer clear. It's made specifically to help civilians stay safe, as well as notify superheroes of where to go and what to do.
I think those small-time crimes should work just fine. It could be Neku's big debut! And of course, Kendrick meets his fanclub while Lani and Neku die laughing in the background. I warn you now, though, I made this RP partly to help with my action writing, so if my attempts at writing fight scenes suck, it's because of that}
"It's not that impressive." Kendrick's argument sounded weak even to his own ears. Everyone in his family was scary intelligent, so it didn't seem like a big deal to him. His hacking had gotten him into too much trouble before, anyway. He was too invasive, and hacking was really the only thing he could do with computers and technology. Otherwise, he only had basic knowledge. Ade was the one who could really work with technology, while he was more on the side of strategy and academics. "I would say he's just being humble, but he's really just clueless," Lani said. Her phone chimed with the Hero App and she groaned as she looked at it. They were right outside the library by now, too... "Kendrick, looks like you have something to deal with. You too, Neku, if you'd been planning on helping?"

Neku smirked lightly when Lani called him clueless, frowning when her phone chimed as they neared the library. "Yeah- I'd love to help. My boss just texted me, saying that the library's shut down during the next couple of hours, apparently the board is having a hissy fit about something, so I have the time," He offered, relaxing when he realized that the two had relaxed into an actual conversation, blinking at the app curiously. He couldn't help but wonder what App she was looking at, thinking it must be the Hero App that everyone was talking about, wondering how it worked as he had yet to download it on his phone. "What can I do?" He asked curiously.

{Sure!}
The principal jumped as the boy broke into his office again and he swore loudly. Seriously, why was security to useless? This needed to be fixed immediately. Why wasn't his security already on that? "How on earth do you keep breaking in here? Security really needs to step its game up I swear..." After a few more muttered curses, he cleared his throat and looked at him again. "What is it? What do you want?"
--
"You can help me deal with, uhh, what exactly's going on right now?" Kendrick looked at the App on his own phone. "A robbery, apparently. Some guys breaking into a money truck. Just beating down some guys and sending them to the police. Do you have anything to hide your identity?" "I have some spare clothes in my bag, and a mask," Lani offered. She always kept it because sometimes Kendrick himself forgot his own suit. She had a spare for Kendrick, but also some loose clothes that were easy to move around in just in case she forgot about the suit. She figured they would work for Neku well enough.

"We'll fix that later," Kendrick said, already planning on having his mother make a suit for him. Lani dug through her bag and handed Neku some clothes and a mask. Thank god no one was around. "Find somewhere to change," she advised. "This may not be huge, but it's best to hurry. You never know what could be happening. Kendrick, keep your phone on, and safe. Just in case anything else happens and either I need to call you or the App gives an update." "You'd think she was some sort of hero too," Kendrick stage-whispered to Neku, smirking as Lani turned a flat look on him. "We're going, we're going."

Neku blinked, looking overwhelmed as he was handed the mask and clothing, before managing a soft laugh at Kendricks comment. "I'd believe she was," He responded in kind, before noticing the flat look and let out some form of squeak, dashing off and finding a corner he could change in, one that was completely unpopulated. He changed quickly, thanking the theatre gods for his ability to quick change (he took theatre in his last two schools.) and returned within the minute, glad that the mask didn't cover his third eye, which was blinking curiously at Lani along with his Throat eye, and he stuffed his old clothes in his school bag, ready to follow Kendrick whenever he was ready. "Where are we going?" He asked, reminding himself he'd need to get the app on his phone as well.

"Aw, he's scared of you!" Kendrick snickered as Lani looked honestly bewildered, but he was quickly ushered off to change. He came back quickly a little while after Neku. Lani looked curiously at Neku's eyes, but it wasn't the weirdest thing that she'd seen. She instead instructed them on where they were meant to go. "Stay safe, okay? Don't leave the library," Kendrick told her firmly, grabbing hold of her shoulders. They'd been in this situations hundreds of times, but he still worried over her more than anyone else. She was a civilian and didn't have nearly the training he did. "I will, I promise," she replied softly. "I'll be inside. They'll understand if I tell them Regal told me to." Kendrick nodded. He let her go and then looked at Neku. "How are you planning on getting around?" he asked. "Because I typically swing and roof-hop."

There was a twist in his stomach when he wondered again what their relationship was, before snapping his mind back into the present, shaking his head in bewilderment at the question. This is more scary than the time I accidentally joined one of the street gangs near the apartments. At least then I knew somewhat what I was getting into. He thought, glancing around uncertainly. "I haven't thought about that- I'm a little new to this helping others thing- I could follow on foot, I'm decently fast and have good enough endurance," He responded with a shrug, wincing when he realized they met when possessed him was about to gut another guy like a fish. He slid his switchblade into his hand, just in case things got hairy, glancing at Lani, knowing she'd be safe at the library.

{I still find it hilarious that he somehow managed to accidentally join a gang}
"It'll have to do, I guess. I'll go roof-hopping then." Kendrick took out his grappling hook and aimed, tugging up off the ground and landing on a nearby roof with a roll. Lani sighed, thinking it would be a lot easier if he just ran beside Neku. He was overdramatic when he was in the suit, though, and she didn't expect any different, if she were to be perfectly honest. "Good luck," she told Neku. "This'll be a piece of cake. Regal will be there to watch your back. You'll do fine." On the roof, Kendrick waited to see that Neku was following him before taking off.

I figured Pax, while generally well-intentioned, might be trying to usurp Rey Corp and eventually attempt to pit Decimate against their family. Thanks Clover- And no need to worry about fight scenes, it took me a while to get them down as well~ But as prior warning, my posts will be longer because of them. ^^" Another last question- Soo superheroes are seen in this world the same way they are in DC Comics, meaning they have merchandise and dedicated fan sites, right? I love that idea because it reminds me of Coulson and his Captain America cards.)

Flight was too obvious and would likely result in being locked in his 'room' until the day Mavis finally overcame her obsession with trashy romance novels, so Diarmuid was forced to approach the crime scene on foot. Though he moved with supernatural speed, he tried to scale down on the 'supernatural' aspect so as not to draw too much attention to himself.
He left shoe prints two inches deep in the pavement. Attempting to vault a fire hydrant resulted in his breaking off the top and leaving a geyser of water in his wake. He failed to reduce his speed in time to avoid a collision with a taxi, crushing its fender and shattering the windshield upon impact.
Diarmuid's attempt not to draw attention to himself was met with...mixed results.
He had yet to master the delicate art of control- especially in the wake of his own excitement.
Though he'd 'visited' earth many times throughout the course of his life, and had even gone up against a few of its highly touted Heroes on occasion, he'd never met one as a mere bystander, let alone fought alongside one. His hair sparked with bursts of aquamarine flames at the thought of it.
The crime didn't quite match up to the level of those he truly wished to see- but you never knew who would be closest, and those involved were relatively skilled from what he'd heard. Draco was a reptilian man who usually acted as a basic thug, but had the strength and endurance to make him a significant challenge to the local police. Astra was always on the destructive side with her fondness for plasma blasts- The third criminal was unknown, a teen who appeared to have telekinesis.
All in all, they had the potential for a rather entertaining matchup.
It felt like eons since he'd last seen actual combat- not for repeated and desperate lack of trying.
Diarmuid finally located the source of the grating wail of police sirens when he was forced to catch a police cruiser that had apparently been flung in his general direction. It completely halted his forward momentum, and he stumbled back at the unexpectedness of it, heated metal warming his gloves as he carefully set the ruined vehicle to the side amidst what appeared to be the wreckage of a blockade. Men and women in the department's colors swarmed the area, attempting to stay clear of the cornered criminals whilst simultaneously keeping them pinned until Heroes could arrive. Gunshots and monstrous growls echoed off the walls of the narrow grime-covered alley in which the money truck was wedged, somewhat fenced in by smoldering police cars. Diarmuid edged closer to see the villains within, but was pulled back by a restricting hand.
"Hey kid, what are you-"
"You," Obviously having witnessed his unconscious display of strength, an authoritative looking women strode over to the brunet and gave him a tight smile. "You're a Hero?"
"Yes." Diarmuid straightened and neatly folded his hands behind his back- after pulling his hood back over his hair at the return of his excited sparks.
"Well, then. What are you waiting for?" She swept her hand toward the rapidly devolving confrontation behind him, and Diarmuid could feel himself hesitating. Her command was clashing with previous ones that had been repeatedly drilled into his head. Namely Mavis' repeated assertions that he 'wasn't ready'. But what if this was his opportunity to prove that he was? It was a rather simple resolution after all-
His indecision lasted three seconds at most, but it was apparently three seconds too long, as in that short space of time he found a plasma blast aimed at his face and glimpsed a flash of gold out of the corner of his eye.

(I forgot what colors make up Regal's costume, but I think yellow was in there somewhere? Either way, prepare to be discreetly fanboyed over. Also I based Draco off of Killer Croc, but he's more like a Komodo Dragon. Super strength, poisonous saliva, and you need to put significant effort into your attacks if you want him to feel more than a faint tickle.)

Neku gave Lani a grin, "Thanks- and, hey ask for Maryanne when you get your application, say your a friend of mine." He added before dashing off, watching Kendrick- well, Regal now, right?- as he hopped from building to building, keeping his head tilted slightly as he followed him, finally making it to the bank, skidding to an alleyway, waiting for Regal to drop down so he could follow the hero into the crime scene, breath slightly elevated. (See Neku just ends up getting into situations and just gets dragged along into things- Heroes, gangs, really anything.)
