(If Kendrick said the last part Neku would have probably choked on air smh.) The teen let out an embarrassed cough, but watched as his curly haired little sister stopped to talk to two of her friends- Ryan and Emmit, the three walking into the building together. "No, seriously man, most guys would have handed back Bonnie by now, even if she saw it- and I am most definitely not amazing," he added indignantly, a small touch of red tinging his cheeks at the thought of someone actually believing that. If anyone was amazing it'd be Kendrick, who was a freaking hero, but he didn't mention that, knowing that was a secret. Instead he switched the subject quickly, "So, ah, if you texted me last night, I'm sorry, my phone died and there was a power outage so I couldn't really answer," he explained, knowing that Kendrick might figure out he lived on Noir street because of this- it was one of the few areas that often experienced outages like that, but he wanted the guy to know he just didn't answer him because of that. Not that it mattered, considering he had the feeling Kendrick wasn't interested in Neku, but it was nice to at least let people know.

"Rest assured, I'll be keeping this safe until I see her again." Kendrick chuckled. In all honesty, it hadn't even crossed his mind to hand the toy back. It was given to him, after all, and he wouldn't break her trust like that. "Oh, yeah, I did text you. I was kind of wondering about that, but nice to know it wasn't you avoiding me," he joked. He hadn't actually thought Neku was avoiding him; he thought he'd been getting some more much needed rest. From the power outage, it was easy enough to deduce where he came from, but he didn't mention it. He had absolutely nothing against the residents of that area, and he tried his best to help Ade take care of it, but it wasn't his territory. Ade was much better at taking care of the rougher parts of the city than he was. He'd have to ask Ade to take special care of keeping Neku and Rosie safe. He was biased in that way.

Neku let out a laugh, relaxing his shoulders as they walked together, surprised that Kendrick honestly planned on keeping the stuffed toy until he saw her again, honestly a little touched at the sentiment. A small, embarrassed smile touched his lips at the thought of avoiding him, hoping he honestly didn't think that, so he let out a soft chuckle at that and shook his head. "I can most definitely assure you that even if I was avoiding you I'd still text you back, my curiosity would have killed me," He joked as they entered their homeroom classroom and he settled in a desk near an outlet, plugging his phone in quickly, hoping it'd get enough charge to last the day. Luckily he didn't have much trouble on Noir Street, it was one of the perks of him being so heavily tattooed- he quickly learned that gangs either left the kids with the tattoos alone or confronted them, and luckily the first seemed to apply so far, it also helped that he stepped in when a gang members little brother was about to be beat up, so he got some protection from them, he almost felt like he accidentally joined a gang, which he probably did but at least it kept the two of them safe. He also had his Third Eye powers, so if anyone did try to break in (which had happened a few times.) he was able to get Rosie and Milo in a safe place and confront the thief.

"Good to know that if we ever get into a fight, I can always make it up to you through information. Not that I plan on getting into a fight with you any time soon, but who knows what could happen?" Kendrick decided to take a seat in front of him, twisting in the chair so he could look at him. Seeing him plug in his phone reminded him to text Lani back, since he always texted her in the morning. He quickly told her that he got distracted and that class would be starting soon, and then pocketed his phone. He leaned his chin on his hand on Neku's desk and smiled. "Oh, yeah, so you did decide to enroll your sister in martial arts, huh?"

He chuckled, shaking his head in amusement, watching quietly when he texted someone, glancing away, not wanting to snoop, feeling that twisted-gut feeling once more, blinking in surprise when Kendrick leaned foreword, and he straightened his back momentarily, keeping the easy grin on his face carefully. "Yeah- she was pretty excited when she found that out. She loves messing around with the guys, so I'm a little worried she might actually punch one of them in the face if they tell her she can't do something because she's a girl, but it'll be good for her to learn a bit of martial arts while she's young." He responded, shifting for a moment, so he was fully facing the other boy instead of being turned away slightly, like he had been sitting beforehand.

"If anyone does try to tell her that she can't do anything, feel free to encourage punching them in the face! It builds a lot of self-confidence and teaches her not to just let people say that to her." He looked greatly amused by the idea, which was probably not very good. He shouldn't be encouraging violent behavior, but sometimes that was the only way to get something through someone's head. He knew very well the kind of damage girls could do even without actual training. Ade especially enjoyed showing up men while in the suit and his mother had amazing balance and power while in high heels.

"As long as she doesn't get expelled, I try to encourage it.She knows how to stand up for herself, she's even the ringleader of the group of kids on our street. She can be a little anarchist sometimes, though," He responded with a small laugh, shaking his head when he thought about the time when she led a revolt in her kindergarten class the year before, when she convinced all of the kids in the class to pile up all of the nap cots, locking the teachers out so they could have a longer nap-time. Their foster parents were not happy when they found out about that, and the rest of the week was unbearable for the two of them, so no doubt he was a little worried when he started the girl in martial arts, because he knew she'd try to use her newly found fighting powers if someone annoyed her enough. He leaned forward unconsciously, not enough for the others around them to notice it, just enough to show he had the boys undivided attention.

"As long as she doesn't try to take over the world," Kendrick joked. "I'd hate to have to stop her. And you, because I'm sure you'd be the first to follow her towards her conquest." It was nice that he could joke about someone taking over the world. His parents always took such matters seriously, but Kendrick was less emotionally stunted than they were. He didn't treat everyone like a threat as they had when they were in the business. He let himself joke, even though he was a superhero and people trying to take over the world was a very real threat. There were people that even tried to take over the entire universe at times, but it was a good thing he could still pretend to be normal by joking about it still.
{I've totally run out of topics. Did you want to skip to after school, or did you have anything else you wanted to address? Because I do have something in mind for getting Neku to meet Lani."

"No promises there, and, honestly, you might be right, she's so cute I'd do anything for her, even help her take over the world," He returned with a wink, relaxing when he realized he was joking around, even if it was something that others wouldn't joke about, considering the boy was a hero and all. He shifted his scarf again, covering his Throat Eye carefully when he noticed that it was beginning to show, still a little anxious with his hands, before snapping his head towards the teacher, who was about to release them to their first period class.

{I am very bad at responding when it reaches around midnight, but yeah time skip}
At the end of the day, Kendrick was going to say a quick goodbye to Neku and head home, but then he remembered that he'd told Rosie he had work that day. He'd gone to the library the day before to ask about a job opening for Lani, so he figured it would be helpful if she had someone to help her along, even if that someone was a friend of her friend. He waited at Neku's locker, sending off a text to Lani telling her to wait for him to pick her up after school. It wasn't hard to find his locker, but that might have just been because he was good enough at hacking that he could find it quickly.

(Oh I'm not mad, it's just for further notice :3. Anyone can hop in.)
Ress walked out of class, her eyes dancing around the area. It seemed quite...too quite. She had a dark feeling that it wouldn't stay that way for long. She was kind of overjoyed and sad at the thought, sad it would mean trouble, happy it would mean adventure. Not that she wanted anything bad to happen, but she was craving some thrilling adventure or fight. She sighed and walked past Neku and Kendrick, and walked to her locker, opening it and picking up her book. She also had a mysterious non-school bag. It held her costume, and she double locked her locker because of it. She grabbed the sealed bag and her normal bag and looked around rather bored.

{Alright, thank you for calling me out. I'm an insensitive person a lot of the time. >.<}
Ade was heading out of class without her friends, since she didn't have her last class with any of her friends. She grinned mischievously when she saw Ressnaline on her own. She hadn't had a chance to greet her that morning, not like Kendrick had, and she was curious about the girl that had come to their house and asked for their mother's help. She was also curious as to why their mother had gone all quiet. With a friendly smile, she bounded up to Ressnaline. "Hello there!" she chirped. "Ade Rey, pleasure to meet you! You'd be Ressnaline Inderilli, correct?"
--
Kendrick grinned at him. "Hey! You're working at the library now right? I have a friend that wanted to go in for that job opening. Would it be alright if you like, introduced her and helped her out? You don't have to, but it'd be nice if she had someone I know is nice to help her out. And hey, that way my grand total of two friends would know each other!" He chuckled to himself, finding humor in the fact. It was kind of sad, yes, but it was his life. There wasn't really anything he could do about it until his parents decided there wasn't any reason to keep their identities secret from other heroes. "'Course, you'd have to walk with me to pick her up. She goes to the public school."

(Forgive me. ^^" I'm technically new as it's been years since I've written here, so I hope this is okay...)
HanaDulSet | Diarmuid Beltane/Decimate | 18-24? | Heterosexual | Villain Turned Superhero-type
Though seemingly cool-headed, Bel can go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye. He's rather intense with his tendency to overcomplicate things and unshakable will and resolve. Whenever he puts his mind to something, it's to the detriment of all who stand in his way. While his temper is relatively cool, Diarmuid believes all problems can be solved by reducing them to ash. He's attempting to work on changing this mindset, however, as he doesn't just want to be a hero- He wants to be the Best and Most Heroic. Unfortunately, he's not all too clear on how to achieve this status as the majority of his education comes from comic books and television. Bel is a bit socially awkward- he hasn't had many positive or social interactions with others- this is revealed in his slight conversational anxiety, unconscious twisting of social conventions, and tendency to resolve minor problems with excessive violence. Generally, however, he can maintain an air of reserve and keep most emotions under wraps. Diarmuid is insatiably curious and utterly fascinated by the world he finds himself in- with a childish wonder that results in his attempting to experience all it has to offer. While he's actually fairly compassionate, Diarmuid has a not-so-hidden thirst for destruction and love of combat. In that regard he balances sadism and kindness with mixed success. /What causes the most cases of underestimation in Bel's physical appearance is his doll-like heart-shaped face, expressive oblique amber-gold eyes, and barely 5'5 distinctly svelte build. His overall innocent human appearance is somewhat counteracted by prominent fangs and the broad scarlet 'X' dominating the warm manila skin of his left cheek. Though slight in build, Beltane possesses lithe muscles often hidden by loose or ill-fitting clothing. His hair is a soft golden brown that frames either side of his face, forms uneven bangs, and tends to be in a state of perpetual disarray. Bel's pupils either fade or bleed ruby when actively using his Flames. He struggles to keep his expressions as mild as possible, but can't help being an open book with exceptionally large lettering. Diarmuid's smiles are minute and tentative, as if he's still learning how. Though he prefers suits, Diarmuid is generally stuck wearing clothing often found on your typical teen. He has a particular fondness for hoodies, Converse, jeans, and the color orange. His 'superhero suit', however, is an actual three-piece suit. Because he's classy like that. (And might have pleaded incessantly for it) Sleek and sable with an orange tie, it's comprised of all the durable battle-resistant material you'd find in your average hero's garb. The modernization has its limits, however, as he personifies the suit with pieces of his personal combat armor: Knee-high obsidian spiked boots. Similarly colored bracers are worn over his sleeves, intricately wrought with symbols that vaguely resemble flames and rise from wrist to elbow, forming spikes of their own. Ebony gloves with golden accents over his fingers, knuckles, and the backs of his hands- Xs are scratched into the palms where the royal family's crests were once displayed. Upon being activated by his Enka, both glove and bracer combine to form gauntlets. To -somewhat- obscure his identity, a diamond-shaped onyx mask covers the entire lower portion of his face, doubling as armor of its own. When in 'Battle Mode his hair erupts into flames- usually red- and his eyes appear to follow suit by sparking and flaring to the point that they leave an afterimage behind with every movement he makes. Thin fiery markings that resemble veins of lava trail from his narrowed eyes to branch out over now golden faintly glowing skin, forming hexagonal patterns along his arms and shoulders. || Beltane's most notable and powerful demonic attribute are his Flames or Enka, flaring in colors that suit his current mood or energy level. They enable him to deal enough damage to make his villain-sounding appellation distressingly fitting, though their primary function is remarkably similar to Regokinesis or Vector Manipulation. When activated, Bel is capable of manipulating his own gravity or that of a target's, and can greatly increase his own fighting power. Not without cost, however. As a Rosreve or 'Destroyer', it's expected that Beltane possesses natural battle prowess and combat instincts- though they make him a tad paranoid.
N/A | Beltane is the Tenth Generation Head of a prominent Rosreve family with service ties to the reigning monarchy of his country- And the sole surviving member of his bloodline. He refers to his former 'Plane of Existence' as a demonic Limbo. A world where demons can be Summoned to other worlds and form Contracts with the inhabitants- usually for nefarious purposes. This was how he earned the reputation for being a villain, as his previous Contractors consisted of everyone from terrorists to the mafia. His final Contract is what made him who he is today- In a manner of speaking. Summoned by a dying Hero, Beltane's doubts and latent guilt over the apparent reason for his existence were laid to rest- or perhaps made worse- when his newfound 'Master' offered him a different path. A brighter one. Her death has only strengthened his resolve, and though he isn't quite ready to make his 'debut' so to speak, Beltane works tirelessly with the Pax Corps, the company that now sponsors him, to live up to his master's words. | He doesn't technically have a job- Pax Corps covers his living expenses. Diarmuid is eager to go to school or university and do 'people things' but Pax is currently wary of letting him go public, even under his human identity. Pax are adamant that he keeps his identity secret, a stipulation he can't quite understand as Bel has always been a warrior and has the pride that comes with it. Diarmuid Beltane is of course not his real name, and Decimate is the 'villain name' he once owned and has yet to shake off. Bel has only been living on earth for six months. He's a devoted fan of most 'mainstream' heroes, as he's always been close to idolizing them- or at least what they represent. While he doesn't know much about specifics, he's well-acquainted with most human inventions. In fact, when he isn't training, Diarmuid can be found watching movies/tv or listening to music. He's relatively skilled at reading and speaking English, but still possesses a thick accent and speaks with a sibilant hiss. He literally cannot stay still for long periods of time- with a tendency to pace, circle, or fidget. Diarmuid is strangely skilled at household chores and cooking.

Neku blinked, a little overwhelmed at how much he was talking, backing away for a moment as he shut the locker firmly, twirling the lock and glancing back, processing the information quietly. He hesitated, unsure on whether he should help someone he never met before, but gave a hesitant nod. "I can show her who to talk to, and if she gets the job I'd be more than welcome to show her the ropes, " he responded with a small smile, before checking the time, seeing he still had an hour and a half before his shift started. He definitely had time to walk to the public school and back, plus it would be interesting to meet his... friend. He lugged his backpack over his shoulder and began to head out, pausing so Kendrick could lead the way.

Ress was about to leave, and jumped as she was greeting, not expecting to be bothered. She gave a smile though, "Yes, and it's nice to meet you Ade Rey." She said, holding out her hand for a handshake. She was honestly happy to have someone approach her and talk to her, as others usually had not. Usually she would walk home alone without being talked too, but she was actually happy to have company.

{Ah, he sounds cool! I should really fix the front page because posting all the descriptions gets long...}
--
"Thanks! She's pretty timid, so it's taken her this long to get a job, and that's only at my insistence and help." Kendrick sighed. He didn't get scared of people and social interaction like she did, so he couldn't understand it, but he did his best to help her feel comfortable. "Hopefully, she'll do good. She really loves reading and stuff and is a lot more organized than I am, so I'm sure you'll get along just fine. Don't get put off by her. She can be nice, just... awkward." He led Neku towards the public school, which was about a ten minute walk. "We'll have to wait a while for her to get out. The public school starts and ends a little later than the Academy, so."
--
Ade shook her hand, looking a lot more friendly and open than Kendrick was when he was in his civilian persona. Ade was usually friendly, but as a vigilante, she was always much more serious. She had a lot to be serious about as a vigilante, especially since her 'territory' was Noir Street. She had a soft spot for the people there, and she wanted to protect them as best she could, and she couldn't do that if she was being too friendly. "Nice to meet you. My family seems pretty formal, huh? Kinda scary too. I'm the nicer twin." She didn't want to admit that she got her personality mostly from her father. She had just as bad a relationship with him as her mother.

Neku let out a soft chuckle, giving him a small nod at the description of her friend, a little relieved that he described her as a quiet person. She'd fit in with the library staff just fine if what he was saying was true. He shivered for a moment as a gust of wind hit him, unhinging his beanie, which made him scramble to keep it on, his eye flashing for a moment as he stuffed it back on, looking a little embarrassed as they walked along. "Alright. I'll keep that in mind when I meet your... friend." He stumbled over the last word, curious as to if this was the girl he noticed in the papers with him, if they were actually dating or not, but not having the courage to actually ask.

Kendrick chuckled as Neku tried to keep his beanie on. He thought it was cute. Not that he would tell him that. He still had some sort of brain-to-mouth filter. When they got to the school, he waited just outside the building. There was another ten minutes to wait, and he filled the quiet air with mindless chatter. He heard the bell ring soon enough and he straightened, searching for Lani in the crowd. It wasn't hard to find her. Her normal style was usually loose hair and jeans and a t-shirt, but she'd chosen differently today. She instead wore a nice black blouse and a black skirt, differing from the norm. The front strands of her hair were braided back. She didn't look very impressed when she saw Kendrick. "You're causing a scene," she said softly in greeting. "Hello to you too," he chuckled. "You look nice today. Very cute. Different. I approve of this one. Lani, this is Neku. Neku, this is my friend Lani."

Neku recognized he girl from the paper and he felt that weird gut feeling again, but he just gave her a soft smile, and a nod, halfway hoping the tattoos that could be clearly seen on him wouldn't scare off the girl too much. "Uh- Hi. Its nice to meet you," He said, a little shy himself as he scratched the back of his neck nervously, unsure of whether he was supposed to shake her hand or just say hi or what. One of his markings peeped out of his uniform, luckily looking like some intricate sleeve, and he quickly pulled his arm back down, trying his best not to be as awkward as he usually was when it came to meeting new people.

Lani blinked at him, tilting her head to the side as she observed him. "...Ah," she said after a few moments. "Nice to meet you too." She quickly realized that this boy was most likely the alien that Kendrick was so obviously interested in. She'd gotten more than a few texts about him. She turned to Kendrick, feeling awkward having addressed Neku. "Why are you here?" "I'm getting you a job!" Kendrick smiled at her, but she didn't smile back. "You really wanted to work at the library, right? They have an opening, and Neku just so happens to work there. I thought it'd be nice if he could help you out?" Lani blinked at him, and sighed. "Idiot," she murmured, but there was a touch of affection in her voice. "Alright. Lead the way, then." She would normally be a lot more relaxed, but she was usually tense around people she didn't know. She was painfully aware that she seemed rude, but she didn't know how else to act.

Ress smiled, but laughed a bit awkwardly. "To be honest your family is a little intimidating, so is your family's aquintence...I mean he's nice and all, but I feel like he's not telling the whole truth about who he is, you know?" She asked, but shook her head. "Never mind, he's nice, I guess that's all that matters." She added. "Who really tells the truth in this city?" Ade said mysteriously, almost looking serious, but then she laughed. She played it off as a joke, but that really was the one truth of Erisil. There were very few truly honest people in the city. Even her brother, who had a gigantic hero complex, was forced to lie to his peers about who he was. He wasn't as formal as he liked to come off as, and Ade herself wasn't as naive as she made herself out to be. She felt a bit apprehensive at the idea that Ressnaline might find out Neku's secret, because that could lead to her and Kendrick's identities being revealed too. "No problem! Someone in my family has to be the one with people-smarts.."

"The supervisors a bit scary at first, but she means well." Neku tried, clearly a bit nervous, glancing between the two, wondering what their relationship was, already prepared for the awkwardness considering Kendrick had told him beforehand, and noticed that Kendrick had used his actually name, and tried not to let out a soft sigh at that, not keen on everyone knowing his actual name. He jumped over an old bump of cement, landing on the other side and waiting for the other two to catch up, curious of Lani but not saying much, noticing she might not be interested in being friends with him. "As long as you like reading and respect the books you'll be fine," He added, biting his lip nervously, eyes lingering on Kendrick for a moment, depending on him to carry the conversation if things got too awkward.

"Okay..." Ress said, a bit confused. "Are you okay? You seem a little...confused?" Ress said, she was curious about why Ade had responded so oddly, but couldn't really place the emotion Ade seemed to be experiencing. Perhaps fear, awkwardness, but confusion seemed to fit the best, so she just stuck with that emotion. She shrugged and kept watching Ade, a bit more carefully now. "So um, how are you doing?" She asked more awkwardly then before, after that incident, she didn't know how to respond, so her words came out a little rushed and confused.

"Of course I respect the books," Lani hummed, hitching her backpack over her shoulder. She waved off Kendrick when he offered to take it for her, seeing it was heavy, and continued talking. "It can get a little irritating if people don't, though." A frown tugged on her face. She was trying to be a little more talkative, but she really had very little to say. "Hopefully your supervisor doesn't scare you too much," Kendrick teased, trying to ease the tension with his own presence. "Neku'll be there to help, right?" He gently nudged the other boy and smiled. "Right..." Lani nodded slowly, and tried for a smile, though it looked like she was unsure of what she was really doing.
--
"Huh?" Perceptive, Ade thought privately. She was a little impressed. Most people took what she said and did at face value. Then again, 'most people' were rich people who didn't want to deal with anything they couldn't fix with money. Not that she didn't love her friends, but none of them were quite like her. They didn't always look beyond what they saw in front of them, and she was sure they didn't want to. It was just a necessity for her, or a natural thing for some others, it seemed. "I'm doing perfectly fine. I should be asking you that, actually! You're the one who came in bleeding. Is your arm alright? Not sore or anything? Or feeling like it's getting infected? Seriously, what were you doing? You should be more careful!"
