Plumfur glanced over at Authmnfall and Dapplenight, looking startled at Autumnfall calling to her. "Wh-what is it? Is something going on?" "I am doing fine... but how are you feeling?" Nighteye responded, looking concerned for his mentor's well-being. "I can't image how you feel about all this..." (My other characters are open, Jekyll) “Oh no. I just have to train Russetpaw, and my brother is a bit shy, you know him well. Well, have fun!” The large warrior was gone in moments, leaving Dapplenight flustered. “Erm...Sorry. Autumnfall is...she means well but you know...” He laughed sheepishly. “I’ll mend.” Yarrowcloud assured. “I always do. I will choose to believe she is happy with Cricketsun out there...and that I’ll see her again one day. But, I still have plenty to be comforted by.” Yarrowcloud mewed lightly, looking at Nighteye with gratitude. “She was your friend. I know she liked your company, Nighteye. Thank you for being her friend, and a great apprentice to me.”

Yo.) Ghostscreech kept quiet as he led the patrol, watching the surrounding area. He paused for a moment, catching a strange scent, “Wait.” He growled, holding his tail up for the patrol to stop. Hornetstrike stopped quickly, his eyes narrowing as he peered around at Ghostscreech’s order. Frostpaw’s claws slid out swiftly, her eyes serious as she prepared for any danger.

Fallingleaves was padding through the forest, feeling left out lately and a bit lonely within the clan. She sighed lightly and sat down at the foot of a tree, unknowing that Aspenfall was close by, looking for herbs.

He knew he’d need to be brave one day...but for now, he was fine just being near her. “She’s always looking out for me and our sister.” Yarrowcloud gave a sad peal of laughter. “Oh yes. She did fancy you deeply as an apprentice, but youthful crushes come and go. Either way, she enjoyed your company, but Cricketsun had been her denmate since kithood. I suppose she realized how deeply she truly loved him, and realized that what she felt for you came to pass. Either way, I always approved of her choices...though this one does hurt. No, you could never take her self-esteem away.” The older tom carefully seated himself next to the siblings. “And you, Slatesight? How are your kits doing?” He asked, no judgement in his voice. Peachdapple cared deeply for the now Warrior, and Yarrowcloud had no reason to judge the tom after everything had passed.

Aspenfall was looking for herbs out in the forest, thinking to himself while he searched. Magpiewing was trying to hunt a bird in a tree, looking for a way to catch it safely. These are open if anyone wants to respond to them) (If I may...) Kestrelwind lightly shook herself and tried to move past her worry. Constant thinking and planning won't help resolve this, only action will. Perhaps this is the chance I'll get... to try to see how they are... Nothing will change the fact that I can't do anything, but... perhaps I'll finally be freed from this guilt... She shook her head and was about to stalk to Lightningstar to ask if she could join a border patrol, when she caught sight of Aspenfall walking out of camp. ‘ He looks deep in thought, perhaps I can help...’ Curious, at first, she tried to quietly follow him, watching for leaves and branches, and keeping her tail above ground so it wouldn’t stir any leaves. Once she realized that she would not be able to keep up with the apprentice, she broke her stealth, and tried to quickly catch-up with him. Once she finally caught up with the apprentice, she let her tail drop and lightly brushed it through the leaves, in an effort to announce herself. She kept a fair distance between herself and the apprentice before gently meowing, ”May I be of some help?” Stormpath continued to study his clan-mates curiously, still hesitant to engage in too much activities with others, especially those he wasn't terribly close to. 'I'll be a bit more entrusting tomorrow, this news had made me rather skeptical of who I can trust here', he thought to himself as he watched cats start leave the clearing, his mind still re-tracing the emotion and tension in the air, as Lightningstar first made the announcement. He padded out of camp rather begrudgingly, until he was a fair bit away from the Gorsetunnel. He gazed at the trees around him, and saw a tall-Pine tree. ‘Perfect!’ he meowed to himself, with a slight grin on his face. He began to try to climb his way up to find purchase on smaller branches, but as he was making his way up, he realized that the nearest branch was too far away. ‘Mousedung...’ he muttered under his breath, as he was forced to find a smaller tree with more accessible branches. Once he was finally reached the higher branches of the pine-tree he first set his sights upon, he suddenly caught sight of Magpiewing looking up, not entirely in his direction, but not too far away either. He quickly ducked in the hopes he wasn’t spotted, and curiously watched the she-cat. ‘What is she doing?’

Aspenfall nearly didn't hear Kestrelwind's call at first, still reflecting on all that has happened in the Clan in the past moon. Time felt so fast nowadays, and he still felt like he was just a new medicine cat apprentice. Secretly, he dreaded the day he would have to take up the position as the lead medicine cat. He could never match Peachdapple's knowledge and ability to handle injuries. At last he came back into focus. "Er... sure," he spoke, suddenly noticing the scent of another cat. "If you know what catmint looks like, could you find some? And... is someone else out here?"

Nighteye let out a sigh. He hadn't felt that way towards anyone, or at least not yet. He wanted to focus on his duties above all before considering a mate. Slatesight was surprised that Yarrowcloud was asking about his kits. Usually, nobody ever mentioned them with him in the picture, though it was understandable why. "They seem fine. I'm glad that I can openly speak to them truthfully now, even if they don't see me the same way."

Once she concluded that she, personally, wouldn't find anyone, she turned her gaze back towards him and gently prodded, "Before I go, is something troubling you?"

You don’t need a mate if you don’t want one.” He assured with support. He then looked at Slatesight. “Kits are stubborn...but most are forgiving with time and effort. I know you are trying, and I know you care for them. It may be hard to know they do not fully accept you...but only time can tell. I have faith, and you and Mapleleaf are good cats.” The elder nodded.

The badger looked at the patrol with beady eyes and let out a growl lunging at the cats. Ghostscreech snarled and jumped at the badger as it swiped at them, landing on its back and digging his claws into it.

He gave a growl and darted forwards to bite at the badger’s legs. Frostpaw was slower to leap back, but her strikes were stronger than her father’s. Worried for his safety, she lunged at the badger, giving a sharp yowl of challenge and slashing at its side.

Aspenfall shook his head in response to Kestrelwind, turning towards the sound of Fallingleaves' voice. "It's nothing. Would you like to help?" he called out to the other warrior, deciding to drop the subject. He didn't want to voice his concerns and lose faith in himself.
"The older we get, the more distant we become." Plumfur sighed. "We're all starting to live our own lives, and we want to take each step on our own. But I don't mind being with my siblings if they ask."
Nighteye ducked his head in acknowledgement, looking at his brother.
"I hope so as well. It's just something I've gotten used to." Slatesight admitted.

You make me feel better.” Yarrowcloud chuckled once before he flicked his severed tail stump. “So long as you do not live in regret, I know you will be alright. The clan will forgive you, and they will know that your kits were a gift, as all kits are. Are you happy, Slatesight? Even though all this has happened, I only wish you happiness.” He asked with concern.

Once she was a fair distance away, a sigh escaped her maw. 'I guess I'm still helping in some way.' She looked around for any catmint she could find, when she suddenly spotted a small cluster of the plant. She gently gathered the plant in her mouth, and was about to head back when she reconsidered and decided to look for more. After she collected a decent amount, she headed back in the direction of Aspenfall.

Hornetstrike bounced on his paws, able to keep up with the slashes, though once one got too close to his daughter, he hesitated for a moment with worry. It was enough for him to get struck, a shallow cut across his pelt as he was shoved back by the badger. He gave a yowl of surprise and light pain. Frostpaw hissed in anger as her father was hit, and this time she took the chance to leap onto the badger’s back, clawing at its shoulders. Blood splattered on her snowwy pelt, but she ignored it in favor of protecting her father and clanmates.

Frostpaw watched the deputy with observing eyes, finding a good amount of respect for the tom. Ghostscreech was certainly dependable.
