Eamon stepped up to the man. Here, he was not known by name, but as soon as he introduced himself, the man brightened knowingly. Much like his closest friends, Eamon was not easily recognised but his name was. Anyone who'd had contact with Alice had become a household name the moment Alice's presence became known. "We need a room for two, one night," he said to the innkeeper who frowned but nodded, already flipping through a book. "There's one of that size available on the third floor," he said, tapping a page. Eamon raised an eyebrow, clearly not amused by the price, but didn't argue. Instead, he dug through his bag for a while before laying a large stack of coins on the counter. "Here's a key for you. Food's included in the price, just show one of the servers your key when you order."

( thank you <3 I'm falling in love with it I think which means this one will stick around for months on end, too. )
Eamon returned to Phallon holding the key out for her to take. "I'll lose it in five seconds flat, do you mind?" he asked before turning to look up the stairs. "Get settled first and eat once these people have left?" he asked, gesturing with his head towards the crowd of people. He wasn't eager to jump into any of their conversations and he was pretty sure whatever it was they were talking about, Phallon would be lost anyway. Without any free tables, it was perhaps easier to leave food until everyone and their grandma wasn't occupying the room.

( true, true )
Eamon nodded, silently relieved. The crowd was not one he wanted to enter, it was loud and full of strangers talking Wonderland politics. He took the stairs quickly, the first then the second set in quick succession. When he reached their landing he took a step aside to allow Phallon to pass. She had the key, after all. "After you," he said, gesturing down the hall.

god I am officially the worst person ever. so, so sorry. to make it even worse, I don't see myself getting the muse together for this in a while, either. if you'd still like to rp, maybe we could take a break from this specific plot and try another one just while I pull myself together and then come back to this? or I could give it a try for better or for worse.

thank you again anyway. you're too understanding for me. honestly, not really. I mean, I can dig up some old plots if you'd like, but it might be easier if we have kind of an idea of what genres we're working within and such?

Haha, don't mention it. ^^
Sure. I'm usually up for any kind of genre. My strongest points are the slice of life/drama, medieval, anything fantasy, anything magical, and anything to do with folklore. I can try Sci-fi, but I will warn you that my brain isn't the most creative in those situations, lol. But if you want to do anything sci-fi, I can try my best and hope it's good.

honestly, something relating to folklore sounds really fun to me! whether it be celtic, russian, scandinavian, whatever, it's facinating to write and read about. other than that, I'd say we have more or less the same comfort zone.

I wrote a paper on scandinavian folklore not too long ago and it's still sticking with me, but honestly anything works if there's something else you'd prefer

I'll have to do so as well. that's the thing about folklore, there's so much of it you could practically go on reading forever. the bright side is that there's so much that conconsistancies are not only expected but inevitable. mistakes aren't too big a deal.
anyway, I think it might make it easier on both of us if we narrow it down somehow? that way we don't have to look at all of it but just some. like we focus on two or three creatures instead of all of them.

I agree with you on the huldra and mara, and would like to add the classic troll to the list, not that I really need to given that we seem to agree on two already

I haven't heard of it, but it sounds pretty interesting!
modern sounds pretty interesting, but I'm cool with either tbh. do you have a preference?

It takes some getting used to the way its written, but it was a pretty good little book.
Well, if we go medieval, then we can have the world be familiar with these creatures. Everyone's heard about them, many have claimed to see them. So we can just have our characters familiar with everything and might have a different approach to the creatures. If we go modern, then most, if not all, the population would believe that they are nothing more than myths, so when our characters find them, it'll be more shocking. Really, I'm up for both too. XD Which one do you think will give us more options for action/drama?

that also depends I guess. if we want to follow the creatures, then I'd say medieval. if we want our characters to be human or even a mix, then I'd say modern
