Just the idea seemed to amuse Eamon, because he laughed and shook his head. "No, not by a long shot. I don't obsess over it like he does." True, once it got past a certain point, he wanted nothing more than to clean until there wasn't a single spot left, but he never did. Instead, he cleaned until he could live in his home comfortably and stopped.
"This way," he said as they walked into town, taking the first turn to the left. Several people greeted him with a few short words but nobody stopped to have a proper chat. It was a small village, a single road filled with shops running through it and another five crossing over it, lined with homes. In such a small village, everyone knew everyone. If you stopped to talk to every single friend you ran into you'd never get past your own front door.
It wasn't long until they reached their destination, a small white house. The yard was, like the inside of his house, decently kept. Presentable but far from remarkable. "This is it. Home sweet home." He walked up to the door and pushed it open; he only ever locked it while he was sleeping. "Come in. Make yourself at home if you'd like but we won't be here long."

The sound of his laugh helped ease what little tension was left from her nerves. It might not have been much, but his laugh dispelled the hard feelings that had been between them earlier. Well, at least Phallon took it that way. He had certainly accepted her presence, and if he hadn't, then he didn't show any signs of annoyance. "Obsessed is a good word to described him," she agreed.
The village was small and quaint. Had she not known any different, she would have thought she was in some rural village back in Ireland. The kind she grew up in and loved. Her eyes darted around to all the buildings, taking in the all the details could. Everything had a cozy feel to it, she had to admit. It was a pleasant place, and the people who called greeting to Eamon seemed nice enough. The next thing she knew, they had made it to his house. She noted how the small white house seemed to suit the boy pretty well. It wasn't anything fancy, but was a enough for one person to live comfortably. "Nice place," she commented as she entered the home.

Eamon inclined his head, nudging the door closed with his foot. "I have to agree with you there," he replied, looking around the house for himself. He hadn't been here for very long at a time recently, but despite that it was nothing if not familiar. His home, no matter how long he spent away.
"It's a long way to where we're going, by foot anyway, so I'll just grab what I need and go. I don't have any food or anything, so we can get that from the market and then we should be all good to go." He was already moving through the house, snatching up a few things here and there before slipping them into the satchel he'd hung from his shoulder as soon as they stepped into the house. "If you want to stop somewhere along the way, or in the village even, let me know. We have some time to spare, even if it's not a lot."

(Just letting you know that I will be gone for 3 or 4 days. I won't be back until Monday, but I'll reply to you as soon as I return!)
The place certainly didn't match the Hatter's standards for clean, but it had a "lived in" kind of feel to it. Phallon didn't know that Eamon hardly stayed here often, but it still felt like he had put some time organizing and personalizing his home to fit his character. It was nice. "If it's a long way, will we have to stop and camp somewhere?" she asked. "Or do you mean it'll just take us a few hours to get there?" The definition of time, she learned somewhat, was distorted here, so she wanted to be sure of what to expect. Even if she didn't understand it, she still knew that when someone warned her of a long journey by Eamon's understanding still meant a long journey to her understanding. If that made any sense.

( thanks for letting me know! have a great time! )
"Absolem lives in the middle of nowhere, more or less," Eamon started, still scuttling around. "But there's a town, larger than this one, two hours' walk away or so. We might be able to get to Cedric's by nightfall, but I doubt that. I was thinking we land in the town for the night - there's a lovely inn we could stay in - and then continue on in the morning. That way we won't have to sleep under the stars."
Something that always confused him was that terms for time were the same both in Wonderland and on Earth. They didn't really keep track of years, when you'd seen enough of them you started to lose count, but despite the inconsistencies of time, they had ways to define it. It was kind of fascinating.
( I feel like we should have something happen between now and them meeting Caterpillar, honestly. to break up all the dialogue centred posts. )

( hmm... we could do some kind of altercation between the two of them and someone working for the queen, maybe, but I feel like that's better saved for later. can you think of anything. )
"I mean, if you'd like to I'm sure we could find some place with decently soft ground," Eamon said, reappearing in the hallway. "But I don't think we're going in the right direction for that. We're moving towards the mountains, so the ground will be rocky and uncomfortable," he explained, closing his satchel. "And I was hoping you could take the food once we've picked it up? My bag's pretty full already."

(Hmm, maybe something like that could happen. Like a spy for the queen could stop by to talk with them, but only seem like a curious villager so they don't know he/she is working for the queen. He could just be gathering information to take to the queen to let her know a stranger was there. Nothing too intense could happen, but it could set up some future action.)
"Well then, that changes things. The inn sounds a lot better than rocky ground," Phallon agreed. Her eyes had been roaming over the different furnishings and belongings scattered around the house, but when he returned to the hallway, she turned to him. "Yeah, I can handle the food. We shouldn't need a lot since we'll only be walking for long."

( yeah, sure, that could work! setting up action is probably a really good idea tbh. )
Eamon slung a jacket over his satchel for good measure, the one had been life behind in the backseat of the car he'd flipped out of, then nodded to the door. "Alright, that's all I need I think," he said, pulling it open again. "So, unless you needed anything..." He trailed off, hoping that would make it clear that he wasn't in a rush, just reluctant to waste time.

(Never mind, I'm not leaving until tomorrow. Maybe. XD I will use this time to finish up Cheshire!) (Great! Since you've been doing most of the rping so far, I'll volunteer to be the spy.)
"I can't think of anything I would need here," Phallon replied, stepping over and out of the door. "Once we start shopping for things in town, that might be a different story." She smiled slightly, joking. Unlike most teenage girls, Phallon didn't care to spend a lot of time wasted on something as trivial as shopping. She was more of the kind to go in, find what she needed, and get out. "I hope you have enough money for everything. I would offer to buy my supplies, but I don't think I have the same money you would use here."

( cx alright, sounds good! I'm excited to see them! )
"I bring things from Earth back to a place where none of it exists," Eamon said in response. "Money isn't a problem." He wasn't rich, not by a long shot, but he knew that he could be. If he travelled back more often, he knew he could have a lot more than he did, but money didn't really matter to him. Most people dealt in favours around here anyway; I'll give you a piece of pie if you flip back and forth and deliver a message to my sister on the other side of the mountains, a book if you chop wood for me. It was easier for them all, it made much more sense.

"No, I can. There are rules, of course, I can't bring anything that couldn't exist here but things that already exist here in some way I can bring with me. The book, for example. It could have been printed here so I can bring it here. Books are actually usually what I bring over, people love laughing at how ridiculous they are. My clothes come with me, too, but I wouldn't be able to bring a phone or a car. And I've never brought a person here before, I've always thought that's impossible, too." He tried his best to explain how it worked even though he wasn't entirely sure himself. Most of what he knew he knew only through his own experience, and he didn't tend to stray outside of what he already knew.
( what the hell was this post? ahhhh, I hate it. )

( that's a very good question, one I don't have an answer to, but I still feel like there's something wrong with it. idk what it is but there's something... )
Eamon hummed his agreement. "Yeah, she did. But I never saw her. We were at the same party in the 1860's, at least if what she told me was true. We never ran into each other there, though, I don't think she was as eager to dance as I was. I'd gone just to eat good food and dance for a bit, so when I felt like I was done with that I walked into the garden and flipped. I went to give a woman just outside of town what she'd asked me to bring back, which was when I ran into her. I suppose it's possible she slipped in with me, but I've never been able to do that on purpose, and I can't even bring inanimate objects with me unless I have some kind of contact with it."

( alright, thanks ^^ )
"That's true," Eamon allowed, turning back onto the Main Street. "Maybe I'm not doing it right." It was entirely possible, he thought. He wasn't sure what the right way would be, but there could very well be one. "Sometimes I go for just a few minutes at a time to pick up a book or to flip back to a different place here. But I've only been back for more than an hour or two three times since Alice arrived. I'm still away a lot, though. I don't like feeling rooted so I travel a lot, even if I always end up back here in the end."

(Magnus Garnir Standing on the taller side (6β5β to be exact), Magnus towers over many people. A slim, wiry build that gives way to graceful and easy confidence accompanies his height. He seems to glide whenever he walks, even when he isnβt paying attention to where heβs going. He seems to have a six sense of his surroundings. Nothing gets past him, no matter how small a detail or presence it may be, which comes in handy when dealing with the people of Wonderland. Black hair streaked blue falls into his eyes and over his shoulders, desperately needing to be trimmed. It never seems to bother him though. If anything, he likes the scruffy, wild look it adds to his appearance. Narrow, dazzling green-yellow eyes shine out from under his bangs that seem to shine no matter what light heβs in. Heβs been teased he can see into a personβs soul with those eyes, to which he neither confirmed nor denied. Yet the most memorable feature on his golden tanned skin is his grin. No matter what situation he is in, Magnusβs smile is present. Many find it unnerving while those who know him better have figured out how to read his true emotions despite the grin that is seemingly plastered onto his face. It is safe to say that Magnus will pretty much do whatever he wants to do. It all depends on the people and problems theyβre facing before deciding whether or not if he wants to get involved. If someone is seeking his help, he tends to drag things out, toying with them as they try to convince him why he should lend his assistance. Sometimes heβll give in and help, other times heβll end up refusing to help. Really, it just depends on how much he likes a person and what kind of task theyβre asking him to do. Heβs also a sneaky one. Disappearing and appearing wherever he chooses, you never know where the man could be. One moment he could be standing in front of you, and the next heβll be floating above your head, lounging on thin air.
He's done!!! Finally. XD I feel like I did a really bad job with his personality, but maybe you'll understand what I was trying to write.)
"I guess I can understand that," Phallon murmured. "Some people like traveling as much as they can. You have the advantage of going anywhere you want for free, which is nice for you."
(Also, just tell me when you want the spy to come over and talk with them.)

( he looks great! and I think I get what you're saying, not to worry. I'll paste him into the first post ^^ as for the spy, maybe they come over while they're getting their food or something idk )
"It is very nice for me," Eamon agreed with a smile, stopping outside what seemed to be the biggest shop of the bunch and opening the door. "This is it," he said, stepping inside but keeping the door propped open. "We'll stop here for food and then we'll be on our way." It was pretty small, but it kept all of the necessities. In a place like Wonderland, that was all you'd need.

"We can restock in the morning," Eamon said as a way of reply. "There'll be things to eat where we're going, too. But we should grab enough to last us until then, just in case we don't make dinner." He strode down the room and right up to the short line of people, none of them holding any food. Payment was always discussed before you collected your things.

"Nah," Eamon siad, twisting his head to watch her. "Get whatever you want, I'm not fussy." He took another step forward, finally coming face to face with the store owner.
"Hi, Eamon, dear," she said, breaking into a smile. "What can I do for you today? I still owe you from the last time." They spoke for a brief while, but it didn't take long for the woman to come to the conclusion that he wouldn't take more than her debt covered. "Enough to feed two for an evening is perfectly alright," she determined. "Don't worry about it. You know the drill, get what you need and run it by me quickly before you leave."

Eamon went as far as to give her a welcoming, albeit small, smile before turning back to the shopkeeper. "This alright?"
She consented after a quick look. "Of course, that'll do just fine." He thanked her with a nod and, after a pause, a few coins. He always felt more inclined to do this after he'd spent some time on Earth, even if it had been just two weeks as in the case. Things had always become habit for him quickly.
"Ready to go?" he asked, turning to Phallon again.
( maybe bring in the spy as they're leaving or something? what do you think? )

Eamon nodded, gave the older woman another smile, then turned to leave the shop. The people around him shifted to take his place, and a few people smiled and called out a greeting as they passed. He returned them all, but that was as far as the conversation went. Everyone here knew you'd waste hours if you needed to talk to everyone you knew.

Eamon was surprised to hear something other than two or three words, so he whirled around faster than he had before from shock alone. "The one and only," he agreed with a pleased smile and small nod. "And no, you wouldn't have. You know how much I travel by now, surely." He didn't seem hostile, though he wasn't as friendly as he'd been before, either. He attributed it to the aggressive greeting he'd gotten and not any immediate distrust. In this town, there was no such thing. There hadn't been for a long time.
