we could do something like Smog and have a scale out of place or be thinner
Bec could turn into something large enough to physically hold/move the snake to where Jonah could throw his spear and kill the snake or harm it enough for it to leave?

hmmm, okay, so maybe brooke notices the missing scale on like its chest but obvs cant really do anything abt it bc of her arm (i mean technically she has another knife and is ambidextrous but maybe the poison spreads or w/e), so she tells jonah and bec, bec somehow holds it for a few seconds and then j throws the spear. at that point they think theye killed it, but then it starts to move again, and that's when nyx descends and obliterates it?

Brooke's eyes went wide as Jonah landed in front of her, and the wind picked up as he parried with his spear. She'd forgotten that he was the son of a wind god. Frankly, she didn't even know which one. It wasn't the sort of thing you brought up casually, what with parents being such sensitive topics to demigods- she talked a lot, but even she knew where to draw the line. He turned to talk to her and take off his pack, and she saw the snake lunging from behind. Before she could scream a warning, he'd made a narrow escape and tripped over his own feet doing it. With the bag still on his back. Damn.
She knew moving was a bad idea when she had poison in her veins, but it wasn't like she had a choice. She drew her other knife with her left hand and backed away from the scene. She was no warrior, but being in combat had finally kicked in, put her into a cool analyst's state. She knew though rushing to aid Jonah would be a nice gesture, she would only hinder him. "I don't know right now," she called calmly. "This is the snake's ideal environment. It's spitting poison at you, but it's diluted stuff I'd think, so you're fine as long as it doesn't get into any open wounds. When it strikes and misses, its head hits the ground. Use that second delay, but then get out fast. Aim for under the chin."
She was so focused on watching Jonah's dodges and the snake's blows that she almost bumped into Bec, pulling up short just in time. "Funny, I thought you'd run off," she said scathingly. Her left arm was beginning to tingle, but she ignored it. "Can you, like, turn into a bear or something and bite its head off? A really big bear?"
The snake turned to face them, allowing Jonah a moment of relief. Brooke hadn't noticed it before, had been caught up in fear, but there was a disparity. It was possible she was wrong. Maybe it was just a discolored scale, or a trick of the little sunlight that was left. But.... "There's a scale missing on its chest," she said, and then she laughed. Her left arm was now shaking so much she had to drop her second knife, and all her dreams of being the one to kill the thing, but she raised her voice. "Jonah, look at its chest when it rears up. There's a scale missing." The problem was, it would never stay still long enough for him to be able to aim and throw his spear. She turned to Bec. "Please tell me you can Animorph over there and hold it for a few seconds."

The going became easier when Brooke's voice broke through the fighting, a calm anchor in a sea of chaos. He did what she said methodically, one, two, three times; taunt the serpent, dodge its teeth, hit it good and get the hell out of there. He wasn't really aware he was doing it, but wind swirled around him carrying clouds of sand with it, distracting, confusing the snake as Jonah pushed himself to be faster - each time he was less and less lucky.
When he leaped from danger the third time, he scanned the beast up and down until he found the chink in its armor, a barely-there spot of lighter beige. How the hell did Brooke spot that? Jonah never could have in a million years.
"I, I see it! It's moving to fast, though, I can't-" The snaked hissed and spit as it coiled around to snap at Jonah. He flung himself back, landing hard in the dirt. His breath came fast and his lungs burned as the creature prepared for another strike. Jonah was barely able to roll out of the way - he wasn't sure how much longer he could last against this thing.

Bec watched as Jonah continually rolled out of the way of the snake, he himself trying his best not to get caught by the tail or fangs. His mind and heart were racing, he wasn't exactly sure what to do. Everything about being a demigod was so confusing and the fact they had to face near death on a seemingly weekly basis was horrid.
He backed up away from the snake, moving closer to Brooke in hopes that she would possibly take control of the situation. He watched Jonah as he ducked away from the jaws of death for a third time, Bec wondering how exactly Jay was managing to move so quickly. He hadn't bothered to ever learn who Jonah's godly parent was. He didn't like people knowing his, or himself knowing.
Relief flooded over him as Brooke pointed out the snakes weakness, and the possibility for it to end, but it was short lived when she turned to him and asked that he turn into something to hold the snake. Yes, he could transform into animals, but it was all relative and he wasn't exactly sure of the percentage of always getting it right. It wasn't like you could just hang out at camp transforming into different animals at will without catching the attention of others. Plus it took energy, depending on the shape of the animal.
"I, uh,-" Bec stammered, looking from Brooke to the Snake then lastly to Jonah. "-yeah, uh, maybe." He finished with a nervous nod of his head. He hesitated a few moments as he frantically tried to think of what to turn into- what kind of animal could go toe to toe with that giant snake?
If Bec had the time to think back on it, maybe he would've laughed, but one of the last ideas he had was turning into an animal he had seen at some apparently famous museum in New York. It may be extinct, but it was still was a real animal.
In the next moment, a wooley mammoth stood where Bec had been. It ran forward, grabbing hold of the snake and keeping it still, trying not to get slashed by the snake's fangs. He waited for Jonah to hurry up and throw his spear.

Brooke felt dizzy all of a sudden, and she dropped to her knees in the sand. She was feeling a lot of things: annoyance that one wrong move had taken her out of the fight completely, pain, the triumph of an enemy's weak spot found. She'd never seen anything as colossal as the serpent, and even though she'd asked she wondered how Bec was going to be able to turn into an animal big and strong enough to take the thing on.
She definitely wasn't expecting him to morph a woolly mammoth. "Oh, there's no way," she murmured, grinning.

Jonah was mentally swirling down a drain of exhaustion and despair as he found his legs too wobbly, too tired to scramble out of the way once again. This ... this was actually gonna be it, wasn't it? What a dumb way to go.
The mammoth appeared the moment the snake lunged, and suddenly the serpent was pinned beneath the weight of the mammal, writhing and hissing but vulnerable, finally. Jonah's brain didn't immediately make the connection that woolly mammoth = Bec, but he shut down whatever part of him was astounded (he'd seen weirder, he told himself) and a newfound surge of strength overcame him; there would not be another chance like this.
So Jonah let his mind go blank, gathered his weight under him, and launched himself forward, spear arm rearing back, time seeming to stand still for a moment, just a moment, as he found the spot he needed to hit.
Everything happened at once after that. The spear left his hand and found home and the monster screamed, louder than anything Jonah could remember hearing - it was a sound he wouldn't forget. He tumbled into the sand, but didn't allow himself to lie there - no, he needed to get to Brooke, so he half-scrambled half-crawled over to her, not far, and didn't wait to see if the serpent turned to dust or not. He threw off the backpack as his knees gave out beside her.
"You need to eat this now." He said as he ripped open the backpack and dumped its contents - there was no way he was digging through a pile of crap to find what they needed.

Bec kept hold of the snake as it wirthed and tried its best to get out of his grip. It was pretty hard with just a furry trunk, but he did his best to keep the snake where it was. When the snake was hit Bec let go off it, allowing the large creature to fall to the ground, squirming in pain as its suppose-ed life drained out.
He looked over at Jonah as the teen fell to the ground before getting up and heading over to Brooke. Bec looked back at the snake, wanting to make sure that it was dead before he changed back to human. The chances of him being able to change back into a mammoth were next to none. It seemed dead, so Bec shifted back into a human, stumbling backward as his body re-adjusted to his old gravitational pull. He headed over to Jonah and Brooke, watching as Jonah dumped out his bag in search for something.
Bec glanced over his shoulder again, still feeling uneasy about the snake. His hands were shaking but he wasn't wearing his jacket anymore- he tucked his hands into his arms.

i mean, like, it was a bad episode. cheesy lines. weird plotholes. the main villain is literally a secret evil sister, for god's sake
but also they heavily baited sherlock/john by literally saying things like 'who is it that sherlock loves?' and promoting the ep based on that and then didnt go through with it which is really disappointing
