(Oh boy now to write the wild adventures of Aleks~) Aleks' week had gone by quite slowly for the male with the mix of school, his first job, and his second job all bundled up together. Aleks' considered himself three people first he was a business major, second he was a waiter, and third he was a jujutsu teacher for kids. At this current moment in the week he was the ladder of the three. Standing in front of kids with a friendly smile on his face. He wasn't too fond of kids, but money was money. The class went on quite well he had to admit he quite enjoyed being looked up upon as a teacher despite also being a student. No one luckily got hurt during today's lesson, and soon the kids were departing with their families. Aleks was talking to one of the boy's moms who always tended to bother him before she left. He was currently drinking from a container of water as the woman went on. This was almost any guys dream to be honest a single mild attractive woman was trying to get with him. However to Aleks it was simply annoying, however at this current amount in time he was friendly Aleks. "I much appreciate the offer, but I got a girlfriend Miss Hills." He lied as he gave her an apologetic smile. However her next offer caused him to rub the back of his neck in thought. "Uh, she isn't fond of being around strangers." He responded to a offer for both of them to go to the woman's house, she was clearly calling his bluff. "Look, I gotta go we can continue this next week." He quickly said hiding in his office. He waited a few moments before he saw the building was empty before he changed out of his training gear into his normal street clothes.
Upon exiting the building he headed to his charger hoping inside, and a smile of joy crossed his face as it roared to life. He really didn't want to go back to the house in all honesty though maybe someone could help him with his little problem now. Miss Hills would surely keep offering until he accepted, or unless he decided to be honest. Though Aleks didn't have it in him to turn something completely down, in fact he always made excuses when he had to turn people down. In fact he got into situations like this quite often. The first thought that came to mind was when he had to pay a girl to pretend to be his girlfriend, and go to a school dance with him so another girl who asked him assumed he wasn't lying. Oh the curse of being overly nice, it pained Aleks so.
Sighing he pulled up to a gas station, and exited his charger heading inside. He didn't trust his roommate's cooking so he always bought something small. This came in handy yesterday when they had to eat Mckenzie's ramen. He bought three protein bars, and a fiji water bottle before he escaped back to his charger. "Guess I should head back." He sighed hoping back into his car. He knew the moment he entered he'd have to either escape into his room, or be bombarded with people talking over each other. It was quite annoying to the point were over the past week Aleks had been sleeping on the floors of his friend's apartment to avoid all the noise. A man needed to mediate, and the noise just bothered him.
Another reason the male didn't really want to head to the house was the simple fact he hadn't been back all week. He doubted anyone would question him since he was silent so he doubted anyone would notice his disappearance. Even his close friends Ariella, and Skyler probably wouldn't have noticed honestly. Though he would soon find out as the house soon came into view, and his charger pulled up into the spot he had claimed. He waited a few moments before getting out, and moving to the truck to put the tarp back over his car. Ten minutes went by before he finally went up to the house, and entered it wondering if anyone was even here. It was a friday so Aleks assumed some frat would be throwing a party like every weekend.

Skylar Brennan
For many students, the first week of the semester was rather easy. Syllabus week, they called it. Nobody actually did all that much, apparently. But for junior pre-medical students, this wasn't the case. Sure, they went over the syllabus--for maybe half an hour. Then they jumped right in. For Skylar, this meant learning in-depth vascular anatomy. It meant group work. It meant going into mock exam rooms and examining actors posing as patients. It also meant spending hours online, looking for the right medical post-grad school and starting to work on applications. Part of this was internships. She spent as much time trailing behind ER docs as she did in the classroom, trying to show those in admissions that yes, a medical degree was really what she wanted.
By the time that Friday rolled around, Skylar was feeling both physically and mentally drained. Fridays were her one free day, the day she wasn't expected to attend any classes or show up at the hospital, so she spent the day alone, in an empty house. She didn't spend the day idle, however. By the time that her housemates started to return home, she had scrubbed the communal bathroom top to bottom, leaving it sparkling clean. It was something she did frequently, as the bathroom got rather nasty with eight of them using it. Besides, cleaning helped her think, almost like Aleks' jujitsu. Once finished, she'd taken a thirty minute power nap, then settled onto the couch with her battered Mac to work on a report she'd been assigned yesterday.
She looked up when Ari came in, offering her friend a smile but leaving her to her work. She knew that her friend took her education almost as seriously as Skylar herself did, and didn't want to interfere with that. But then Rivers came in and decided to start pestering Ari, and Skylar couldn't help but pause in her work to look up at him. She was still a grimy mess from the day's cleaning binge, loose strands of hair that had fallen from her ponytail flying everywhere.
"I hear there's a party tonight," she offered, glancing up. "Not far from here at another sharehouse. If you're not busy, you're welcome to attend." She smiled, her tone cordial though her intent was evident. Can't you see we're busy? Then, feeling a bit guilty at her underhanded attempt at being rude to the poor man, she added, "In fact, I think it'd be nice to get out of the house. I was thinking of going myself." Weird how this was coming out of the mouth of miss I don't drink or hook up at parties goody two-shoes Brennan. Usually, she just went to the parties Ari went to. This was the first time she'd suggested that she might go to one without her best friends.

Ariella Faye Harper Entering the living room area of the house, the dark-haired junior had noticed her friend tapping away at her laptop, the glow of the screen spattering blue-ish light across her face. It was a common sight on most campuses, even this early in the semester, eyes glued to brightly lit screens, words of varying topics reflecting in the eyes of the user. And Skylar was no different. So as to not disrupt the other student, Ari pulled out her earbuds, pushing each into the rightful ear and plugging the other end into her cellphone, fingers dancing over the touch screen as she searched for something to ease her into the academic mindset once more. After a moment, the soft sounds of muffled voices and clinking, clanking ceramic dishes rose to her ears. Strange as it may have sounded, Ariella was one to enjoy the melodic sounds of a cafe while doing work in the comfort of her own home, no uncomfortable metal chairs or too-small-to-set-anything round tables. She could capture the charm of a coffee shop in her own living room, settled on the floor in her favorite corner.
After a short while she began to settle into a rhythm, eyes skimming the pages easily, absorbing the words, and committing them to memory. Numbers floated in her head, greek letters danced, and proofs echoed as she sat contentedly on the floor. Although she very much appeared to be an athlete, and there was no doubt that she was quite fit, the twenty-one year old had another soft spot, one of a different sort of exercising--a mental exercise. Mathematics and computer science, logical thinking, problem solving. One would have been surprised that the lass could possess such an interest in the academics, but it all seemed to fit her. Analytical and determined to find solutions, there was no better major for the dark-haired female. It gave her a chance to look at things logically, puzzle things out, and problem solve. Additionally, it wasn't as annoying as people could be, and it was in these fields that one often found the less personable, more awkward types, which was quite okay with the lass as she much preferred to pass silent judgements than converse and consider the feelings of others. Not sure where I was going with this, so let's just end the paragraph here, shall we?
As she neared the end of the second chapter in her Differential Equations text, a shadow passed over her, darkening the page so that the words faded into the shadows. An irritated frown graced her lips as she peeked up at the figure through her dark, nearly black locks. Ahh, Mr. Rivers Black. How lovely to see him. The twenty-one year old let out a small sigh, resting her hand on the book as she spoke, turning her gaze once more to the pages. "You know," she began, keeping her tone even and fighting the urge to send him a glare, "you make a better door than window. You're blocking my light."
Before another word, dry as the Sahara, could leave her mouth, her friend spoke up on her behalf. She shot Skylar a look, eyebrow raised in both question and warning. Don't. She loved the other girl to death, seeing as they had been friends for a number of years now, but she could speak for herself. And the other lass wasn't typically the type to be playing with fire, which Rivers was a frickin' volcano. Ariella opened her mouth to cut in but, again, was silenced by Skylar's voice.
A party, huh? Now, that was quite the surprise, pleasant or unpleasant she hadn't yet decided. Was her friend really thinking of attending a social event without her knowledge? It wasn't that she would be upset if the redhead went without her, but she had never known the other girl to attend a party if she weren't going as well. A feeling of pride formed within her as she looked upon her friend before it dawned on her. Wait. Did Skylar just ask Rivers to attend the party with her? Even if that hadn't been her intention, her suggestion and invitation followed closely by a declaration of intent of attendance made it seem to Ari that her friend had just asked Rivers Black, the Rivers Black, out to the party that night.
Miss Harper froze momentarily at the realization, eyes widening, before casting a quick glance at the tall lad. Perhaps he hadn't taken it that way? Her mind was racing as she stared up at the star football player. There had to be something she could say or do to distract him in th eoff chance he had taken it the way she had--although perhaps Sky had meant for it to be such a request. Ari shook the thought from her mind and closed her textbook, muddy brown gaze drifting from Rivers to Skylar.
"I was planning on hitting up Alpha Sig later tonight," she stated. Not a lie, she had been planning on attending the fraternity's party. As she opened her mouth to speak again, the third member of their trio entered the house. Okay, she wasn't going to lie, she had noticed his absence but hadn't had a lot of time to worry about it much. But Aleks' appearance was perfectly timed. She motioned him over with a small wave of her hand and spoke up once more. "Why don't we see if the rest of the house wants to come along too? It's been forever since you two, at least, have come along with me to a party." [ oi, it's almost 3am, so not sure how much sense this made sorry for quality and length ]

Dramatic roleplays keep me awake until 1 am like now
Yes same. Aleks might actually have an aneurysm. Skylar might need to operate immediately

Aleks had expected to quickly escape into his room of the house, without anyone even noticing him. Alas that dream was soon crushed as he saw Ariella motion toward him. This was never good, in fact he was tempted to just keep walking to his room. In fact it took him a few moments of looking between looking at the three, and the stairs that would lead to his valhalla. The peacefulness he craved was a mere staircase away. However as he was debating on doing it he sighed, there was his niceness again. He couldn't just ignore her, his mind would not allow it. So he turned his gaze back to the trio, and walked over. His eyes scanned the three that were already there Skyler, Ariella, and Rivers. A weird group for him to join really, merely for the small fact Aleks, and Rivers had yet to exchange any kind of conversation. In fact that was the same for everyone besides his two friends.
Upon hearing Ariella's word he instantly wanted to leave again, and bash his head against a wall for even choosing this path. He already felt a headache coming along hearing those vile words be spoken. Really there was no reason Aleks hated parties besides the crowds, it wasn't like he got in trouble going to one, or something happened that caused the lad to dislike parties. Really he had never gone to one ever since giving up his first anxiety reliever. He crossed his arms at this point a minute had passed without him even speaking, or making a sound at the offer.
That was because his mind was racing with excuses to use. He couldn't use the girlfriend excuse he used on the woman early since Skyler, and Ariella would know better.... Or would they? He had been gone for a week without telling anyone, maybe he could say he had been at his girlfriend's house. A girlfriend who wouldn't look upon him going partying. At one point he opened his mouth to use the excuse, but closed it realizing if he did that they'd demand to meet said girlfriend. Another problem with that excuse would mean he lost two of the easiest choices to pretend to be his girlfriend if that woman kept bringing it up. Thankfully other excuse came to mind, he had a problem with the members of all frats. Though once again that'd be shot down quickly since he didn't have any bad rep with anyone so far.
Five minutes of simple silence had passed at this point, and nothing had came to mind yet for the young man. Until finally he snapped his fingers as the ideal, and most simple excuse came to mind. Homework! Why hadn't he thought of it sooner, it was the perfect excuse to use. Though the snap of the finger probably would give it away that he just made this up. "You all have fun with that." He began a smirk upon his face, the kind of smirk you'd give if you were playing chess and was about to get a checkmate. "I have an essay, I should work on." There it was, his checkmate. The game was over now, at least in his mind he had won.
No vile parties would disrupt his friday, no awkward standing in the corner in silence! He had done it! He had escaped the gates of the underworld, and was mere moments of climbing the golden staircase that would lead to his mountain olympus. The gates have shut, and he was free now no why would they come up with a reason he should come now. They knew how well he took his studies, and he doubted they would resort to peer pressure. Valhalla awaited this noble viking now, the gloriousness of his room was in sight, joyous peace.
(He'll end up going, just fault he'd try to get out of it first. xD)

stella h.
In the blink of a metaphorical eye, Friday was upon the household, gracing the residents with its presence and the promise of a well-deserved break on the horizon. Syllabus week had passed without a hitch for most, a flurry of textbook pages, pen scratches, and coffee--lots of coffee later, Stella Hamilton entered her Friday evening in a particularly good mood. Her last class of the day--behavioural neuroscience--had ended early with the prof deciding to forego any required readings ahead of the next class. What did that mean exactly? Her weekend was wide open to enjoy the finer things life had to offer--night clubs, frat parties, and boys. The holy trinity. Stella’s week had been relatively tame--by her standards at least. She had sobered up enough by Monday to attend all her lectures for the week, only going out once on Wednesday night but returning at a far more reasonable hour--1 am. As the girl made her way back to her shared residence, the topic of today’s lecture lingered in her mind. They had discussed alcohol and its effect on the brain and by extension the effect on the body. Essentially, the body treated alcohol as a poison--just as Aleks had said. The thought was somehow mildly amusing. It did some nasty stuff when in excess--she knew that already--but would that stop her from going out multiple times a week and drinking until she couldn’t think anymore? Heck no!! Getting drunk was just too much fun. That was the thing about rich--you didn’t have to take anything seriously. School? Ha, just to pass the time--actually, a vessel for the parties would be a more accurate statement. While others had to study their butts off to maintain good grades and scholarships for a little piece of paper that would get them a job that they would have to work at for the rest of their lives to pay off the debts they collected attending school… She just had to cruise on through, doing just enough to not get kicked out--all while her father’s wallet covered any and all expenses. Sweet deal. That being said, the twenty-one year old found her area of study absolutely fascinating--learning about the brain and what made people tick--despite doing just over the bare minimum to get by. The lights illuminating the front window signaled someone(s) was up and about. Which roommate, she couldn’t tell you. They hadn’t discussed their schedules prior to Syllabus week, and thus that left it to a guessing game as to who was home at what times during the day. She didn’t hesitate however, to throw open the door and march inside, proudly announcing her arrival to whomever happened to be within earshot. First tossing her bag onto the kitchen counter, she strode to their living room to find out who was home and feeling social. She was less than pleased to first see Skylar lounging in the common area, followed by Ariella to whom she felt indifferent to, and finally catching the third member of The Three Stooges, Aleks, as he thundered up the stairs. Her gaze finally rested on the last of the living room inhabitants, Rivers. Quite the odd trio gathered together--certainly not who had she had expected to find enjoying each other’s company. Casting her gaze across the three of them, she let the perplexed look on her face ask the silent question-- what was going on here?
