"I've seen it. Your emotions are in control of your powers. You've been bending the light to render yourself invisible - it's incredibly, really." Orion answered, running a hand through his hair. He was worried. He knew of the reaction to come.
And how it did. With her stammered questioned, his head snapped up, eyes wide. She was the daughter of the royals? The census hadn't shown that. Her powers didn't line up with the blood line. The guilt he felt was immediate and it showed. "Your parents?" Was all he could manage for a second. "I... I'm sorry. I didn't mean... if I'd..." No. there were no excuses. If anything had been different, he wouldn't be here. If he'd known her, it would've just taken longer for him to snap. So what was there to say? "Michiko, I'm so sorry."

Michiko blushed harder at being called amazing. Her powers didn't add up because her mother hadn't been royal originally, and she hadn't inherited enough of her father's blood to match the power line. She shook, tears spilling from her eyes as she buried her face in her hands and sobbed. Before her sat a murderer- the killer of her parents. "Are you saying there isn't anyone left hardly? That our species is extinct? Why would you do that?" She sobbed loudly, her short frame shaking uncontrollably. When she looked up at him there was no hatred in her gaze because she understood what drove him too it. Instead, there was sorrow and the deepest form of betray and anger. She glowed brightly, enraged as her eyes turned to a new scene of the sky bwi g lit on fire by the rays of the sun.

As she began to cry, Orion felt from the same panic from the first time she'd started crying. But this time he was he direct cause of it, and it wasn't like last time. This was completely different, it was sorrowful. Being the cause, he had no idea what to do with himself besides stare at her.
And then the next round of questions started, but she was loud now. The sound of his voice had him flinching a little, a whole set of memories making a brief come back. "The group that forced me out, they may still be around, could've rebuilt..." he mumbled, guilt lacing his voice. "I just... I don't know. I was angry and hurt and I just became that person..." Even as he spoke, he was internally telling himself there was no excuse for what he'd done - he didn't deserve to have her actually listen to him talk at this point.
The look in her eyes though, it scared him. The hatred he'd been prepared for never came, rather her gaze held betrayal and anger, all on top of sorrow. It scared him that she wasn't leaving, that she hadn't yelled at him in disgust like he'd be expecting. That meant he didn't know what to expect, and he hated not having an idea of what was coming next.

Michiko just looked broken and then she looked defeated and scared. All the anger she had been exuding just stopped. Michiko ' s light just flipped out as she turned the palest shade of gray. She closed into a ball, weeping for all she had lost. She was so angry, but she understood his rage. He had made a mistake- a huge, inconceivable mistake. But he was truly sorry, and she wasn't one for revenge. Instead, she clutched her aching heart and looked him Dead in the eyes- her dead Yellow ones wide in fear- her usual sky fading into a sunset as her pupils grew larger. This was it for her. "So...I supposed you're going to kill me too, huh? I shouldn't have trusted you. You turned out to betray me like every one else." She should be running -if he caught her it was over, but she wanted to give him one last chance before she truly believed him a monster. She looked so young and afraid in that moment- a fae thrust into a world she didn't understand.

The anger stopped and Orion pressed his back further against the mirror, unsure of what was to come now. Still waiting for the rejection and the hatred, he could only stare at her. He was unsure of how this would turn out and part of him didn't even want to know at this point. He just wanted to go to sleep and pretend none of this had ever happened.
When she curled up, he took the chance to release the breath he didn't even realize he'd been holding. The fae didn't move his eyes though, still looking for a reaction he thought he deserved - rejection. When Michiko looked back at him, he saw the change in her eyes and didn't know what to do, especially when she started talking.
There it was, that's what he'd been waiting for. At this point, the dancer was sure that the fae before him thought so low of him. Hell, he would to. Actually, he did. "N-no..." he stuttered. The vines that surrounds the iron vein in his eyes shoveled and died, leaving the dirt brown and the gray tones in his eyes. It was rare that this happened, but it happened and he knew. He could feel it and he knew it was because of how vulnerable he felt.

Michiko looked at his eyes, figuring she could to read him at a deeper level that way. The normal green that speckled his irises was gone, giving way to a bleak and grey scene. How could she be friends with her parents' killer? How could she ever trust him again. She didn't know what hurt worse at that point: The fact that she had lost everything by this man's hand, or the fact that she had trusted him in the first place. Michiko shook her head in disbelief and yet, she wanted to hear more. "Are there others who worked with you?" she sniffed, looking curious and terrified all at the same time. It was good that he didn't want to kill her; although, he could be lying about that as well. Michiko was afraid to hear the answer. Part of her hoped that he had not killed all those people alone, but part of her hoped the there was not a dangerous group of murder happy psychopaths hunting her very existence. What a moral conundrum. Michiko knew she should just leave, but she selfish part of her wanted to stay; it wasn't ready to lose her only friend in the world quite yet. What a friendship this was turning out to be- a killer and his victims' daughter.

Orion let her look into his eyes, figuring he had nothing else to lose at this point. He wanted to know what she was thinking, how she thought of him at the current moment. Most of all, he wanted to know why she wasn't leaving. She hadn't told him to go die, to cease contact with her, she was still here, asking him questions. It confused him a great deal, but he just went with it.
With her next question, he finally looked away, pushing himself along the wall of mirrors to gain a little more distance from her. It was more for her than for him - not many wanted to be in close proximity of a mass murderer. "No - I was alone." Always alone. He didn't really know what to do now other than answer her questions as they came. He was sure that if she asked to do anything, no matter what it was, he'd do it without question.

Michiko breathed in a breath of shock. Part of her wanted to run away screaming, and the other part, the stupid part, wanted to stay and learn more. "Why don't you want to kill me? I'm probably the last living royal. What makes me so different?" She was confused, and honestly, ready to bolt at this point, but she forced herself to stay. He was her friend, and he deserved her open mindedness. She could see the guilt eating him alive, and she honestly felt sorry for the feelings he likely endured everyday. He was a tortured soul, and part of her wondered if she could fix him. The other half was cussing her up one side and down the other for being so naive.

There she stayed. Michiko was still sitting there, asking him questioned. He'd basically eliminated and entire species single handedly and she was still sitting across the room from him. He'd never understand her, but he desperately wanted to. Orion only hoped she'd stick around long enough, though he expected a rejection once she had all her questions answered.
What made her different? The new question was odd for him. "I.... I guess just your nature," he started. "Up till now, you didn't really pass judgement on me, you didn't immediately decide my worth upon first meeting. Everything about you... it just felt welcoming." What he wanted to say was that it felt like home, the home he never got.

Michiko seemed a bit shell shocked at this point. She didn't hate him, but she wasn't quite sure she ever wanted to see or speak to him again. She thought for a few minutes, and she decided that she needed to ask him a question that would probably kill him on the inside. At that point, she wasen't sure she cared about hurting him all that much as the fiery pangs or anger were still burning in her heart. "Are you even sorry?" She asked, looking him dead in the eyes, leaving no room for lies. "If you are, I want you to teach me how to go to the fae realm. I want to see my race, my parents. I want to learn about my childhood and my ancestry. Please. If you feel any remorse, you'll teach me, so that I can retrieve what shred of my heritage I have. Orion, what you did was unthinkably wrong, and I've come closer to hating you than any other person. But in a way, I understand why you did it. Loneliness can drive you crazy. I don't know if I'll ever be able to trust you blindly, but if you really are sorry then maybe we can try the whole friends thing. But if you aren't I will walk out, and you will never see me again. Not being able to be forgiven because you aren't sorry is the mark of a true monster,". Michiko hadn't talked that much since her Gram died, but this was one matter that required words. She appreciated his honesty, and to be honest, her energy attracted her in a strange way she had never known before. He was confusing, but she liked him. As more than a friend if she was being honest. The question was: Could she ever truly love the person who stole her life from her, even if he gave what he could back?

He waited. For another question, for a statement of hatred, anything. As long as it wasn't silence because at this point, he wouldn't be able to take it. So as the minutes passed, he grew tense, drawing his knees up to his chest. Even still, he never moved his eyes off her, just waiting for something. She could get up and just leave and he'd be okay with that - it was better than nothing.
As the other fae spoke, he found himself panicking again, but for a different reason. He didn't know how to get back - he'd been forced into the human realm. The dancer had been working on it for a little less than a year at this point, but he'd only made so much progress. As of right now, he didn't have a way back to the fae realm. Even if he could get back, her parents weren't there. There was no guarantee that the group of faes that had managed to best him had rebuilt. There were no promises to be had.
It wouldn't stop him. He was sorry - he'd come to the conclusion that if he wasn't, she would've been dead already. But he was and he felt terrible and he needed her. He'd do anything if it meant there was a chance or her sticking around. The remorse shown clearly in his eyes with underlying hints of panic. "I am. I wouldn't lie - I don't lie. It's not much I know it's not but I truly am sorry." He responded. The student could only watch her at this point, too scared of saying anything else. If she left, he wouldn't know what to do, despite the fact that just a minute before he would've wanted that over the silence that had been hanging over them. He was grateful that she somehow understood what drove him to his temporary madness, and would do anything in his power to convey that. All she had to do was ask.

Michiko blew out a breath and hung her head. She felt her heart beating rapidly as she tried to process everything. "Can..Can I have a hug please. I haven't had once since my grandmother died, and honestly, I could use one right now. I kind of feel like my world is falling apart." She started crying a bit, and put her head on her arms which she folded over her knees. Michiko knew that she had already forgiven him, and that is was just a matter of rebuilding the friendship now. She wondered if her parents hated her for befriending their murder. Michiko felt so alone and confused. She needed a friend, even if he was a murder.

Orion stayed where he was, waiting for her to say something, maybe question his ability to get her back. But she didn't. Rather, she asked for a hug. While he wasn't going to refuse her, confusion crossed his features. She was really asking him, how murder her parents I could blood, for a hug? Why?
Despite his questions, he stood up and crossed the room upon her request. Upon teacher her, the fae hesitated slightly, unsure if she'd end up shying away from his touch as she had previously. His hesitation only lasted for a second before he slowly wrapped his arms around her.
(Replying during filler scenes because filler scenes xD)

Michiko felt her heartbeat pick up. To be honest, the hug was a test. She wanted to see if his energy still felt cold. She wrapped her arms around him with a little difficulty due to her short stature, and she hugged for dear life. It was the hug of someone who was lost and about to drift away. She buried her face in his chest and just cried. Right now, he was a fae and friend, and he could wait to be a foe later. She cried for several minutes- and she just enjoyed being accepted. The icy chill still shook her, but after the in tial shock, she found a strange warmth underneath the metal that usually would have repulsed it. She felt safe, and she relaxed a bit as she cried until finally her sadness petered out, and she kind of just existed while sniffling every once in a while.

Same. My friends get so mad at me, but I hate filler scenes and I totally zone out during them. Especially in anime. OH MY GOD TOO MUCH FILLER. It's the reason I can only rewatch something months after I've seen it. ^-^' my memory for plot takes forever to fade >. <

The dancer was unsure why she had wanted a hug from him of all people, especially considering everything he had told her. Even still, he did as she asked. So, witch his arms around her, he wasn't really surprised when she pressed her face into his chest. His instinct was to hold her tighter.
She needed it more than he did, even though he was a sucker for hugs. She truly felt like home, and Orion took comfort in the fact that she hugged him back. It took some of the edge away, so he held her for as long as she would allow. As the minutes passed, he realized she'd stopped crying at some point and was only sniffling. He'd taken to rubbing her back gently, a subconscious action.

Exactly. That is the reason I can't watch anime like Naruto or Tokyo Mew Mew anymore. I'm far too impatient.
Michiko eventually just stopped crying and unburried her face. Her eyes were red and puffy, and a few tear stains still painted her cheeks. She broke into a weak smile. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice hoarse from the sobbing. She decided that even if he was a murder, being friends with him was better than being alone. Surely her dead parents would not wish a life of solitude upon her? She blushed a bit, realizing she was still his arms- not that she was complaining. He was cute and comfy...and cute. He was going to be the death of her, that was for sure.

I tried to watch Tokyo Mew Mew when I was younger, then tried again a couple moths ago and I couldn't even get past the first episode //rip
The fae shifted slightly when she did, arms loosening enough so that he could look down and meet her gaze. With a whispered thank you, he nodded, though was mildly confused about it. What was she thanking him for? He hadn't done anything worth thanking.
At this point he was tired all over again. He'd literally shared his entire life story, and had honestly been more expressive than he had in a couple years. He was at was a lost of what to do and it showed in his eyes. Orion couldn't help but feel a little lost - at this point, Michiko knew him better than anybody, which was odd for him. So, what was there to do now?

Orion brightened a little, giving a slight nod of confirmation. Her eyes were gorgeous - bright and inviting. He relaxed a bit more, though couldn't help but stay a little tense. "I'll do whatever I can to get you back." He was a man of his word, after all. Not only that, but she'd requested it of him, so he would do it.

"The fae realm - I'll find a way to get you back." He answered, realizing he hadn't been too specific. No matter the research it would take, he'd find a way if she really wanted to go. He wouldn't stop until he got her there or she said she no longer wanted to go. Even still, at the sight of her smile, a small smile of his own graced his features.
He took a moment to just think about everything that had happened. He'd spilled his life story, made a promise he wasn't sure he could keep, and practically bared himself to her emotionally. At this point he was practically wrapped around her finger. "So, what happens now?"

Michiko looked up into his eyes, her cheeks on fire. She wasn't used to the emotion she was experiencing. It was like she was nervous and excited all at the same time. Her heart ached, but with longing more than pain. She leaned closer to examine his eyes more closely. "You're eyes are so amazing," she got lost in the metal jungle that was Orion ' irises. Her cheeks grew ever darker. "I feel funny," she said, looking down for a second as hair flew to cover her brightly sparkling eyes. "I'm happy and nervous, but I don't know why or how to handle it." Her eyes were glowing with light of all the stars at night, blanketing her irises in a romantic scene of star gazing.

I love how we are in the same wave length!! It's makes rping so fun and flowy 。as far as romance goes, what is your rating level you right to? Pg-? I'm fine with pg-16 or 17 as long as it switches to private messages, but I also like pg-13. The only thing I don't do is rated r stuff. ^-^' I don't know your style yet about romance and I don't want to cross a line or anything.
