Me too <3 . I ship him and Michiko already. It's going to be so hard to make her hate him for any amount of time. I am super excited for when they finally get together, and I will treasure the dream until they finally do get together. I'm such a sappy romantic, and I'm actually pretty okay with that.

Time slowed, even if only for a few seconds. He would've been perfectly content listening to as she did her work despite how creepy he realized he must have looked. After all, it was literally just the two of them in the practice room, and he was just openly staring at her, and she didn't even seem to notice. Normally, he wouldn't even still be in the room. The dance studio was open - he knew it was, he passed it heading for the practice room - and it never stayed that way for long. He needed to be in there, hooking up speaking and blasting his dance playlist to forget about his worries, even if just for an hour or two. But she hadn't seen him, and he couldn't help but just take a moment to indulge himself in her voice.
And then it was over.
The other student seemed to come out of her daze, and she was looking around. He glanced towards the cabinet, knowing what he was here for, but couldn't help but look at her once more, and it seemed realization had dawned on her. Then suddenly, she was coughing and appeared to be in a panic. Wait did he cause that? Surely he had. He hadn't meant to, he really didn't. But he did, and it was getting worse by the second. His thoughts cleared and now she looked like she'd get sick any minute, but was somehow managing to scramble to get her stuff together so she could leave. Wait, she was leaving? Wasn't she using the room, though?
It only took that brief lack of attention for her to end up on her back. He'd only vaguely caught her apologies, which he didn't see the reason for, before she'd fallen. Blinking, the fae could only stare at her for a moment before coming to his senses and turning and taking the couple steps towards her. Leaning over her slightly, he offered a hand to help her up, small wisps of concern flitting into his iron filled eyes.

The ceiling disappeared into two silver pools. "I must dead," Michiko thoughtly mildly as she gazed up. Nothing on earth could have been as beautiful as those..eyes. Eyes? Michiko blinked a couple of times as the most beautiful silver eyes she had even seen peered worriedly down into her own. Into her eyes. Her yellow orbs widened, as she took his hand to get up, and then quickly looked down as an icy fear ran through her from when she had held his hand. The feeling of paranoia crept in on her, and she had to fight off her shaking. This was more than her normal anxiety.. this was something deeper. In an attempt at normalcy in this terrible situation, she started at the floor as she grabbed Sherri. "I'm so....I'm so sorry. I know this practice is supposed to be open for music student.... And well... I am.. I mean I am a music student, but I was just writing.. I'm so sorry. I didn't hear you come in. I'm going to leave now, so I'm so very sorry for wasting your time! Thank you for helping me up. I'm sorry you heard my terrible singing.." Michiko stammered out an apology as best she could as she started to back away towards the door, fumbling for the handle because she was reluctant to turn her back to the stranger as the cold chill penetrated her heart further. She was being ridiculous.. The man had helped her up, but he had also her eyes. His were so gorgeous, and she was simply a monster. Still stammering, she finally caught a hold of the handle and began to open the door.

Her eyes. Those eyes. He'd know them anywhere - the eyes of the fae. Beautiful and scene filled, teeming with subtle movements the human eye would never be able to properly appreciate. Fae eye were simply more vibrant than human eyes, and hers more so than his simply due to their color. The girl on the floor had been blessed with a sunset, and he couldn't help but wonder for only a second what her ability was. Surely it had to do with light, heat, or maybe even fire. No matter her ability, her eyes were something to behold, and he was sure no other student on campus had the chance to look at them as Orion did now. Even if they did, they'd probably be scared because her eyes were something unknown to them, something they didn't understand. At least he could appreciate them.
It didn't last long though. She was clearly a fae, and that brought him a feeling of mild irritation, but he didn't let it show. 'An escaped fae... Hm, thought I'd gotten them all,' he thought. Obviously, he was wrong, because here she was. 'Similar in color to my mother's eyes, but my mother had flames rather than the sky...' Throughout his entire thought process, he'd pulled her up and she averted her gaze as she spouted more apologies and made to leave. So she was leaving? No, he couldn't have that. Not when he'd just found her. Sure, he didn't want her around but at the same time, it'd been so long since he'd seen another like him. Mostly like him - she was probably lacking in the mass killing department. Even still, if he could get close to her, he could find a prime time to get rid of her.
Then she was by the door. Damn it, he had to say something, no matter how much it went against his nature. It shouldn't have been that hard considering she was a music student. Hell, he minored in it, and she probably still wanted the room. The sound of the door opening drew Orion out of his minor turmoil. "You're eyes are gorgeous." Really? That's what he said? Of anything he could've said, it had to be that? Add that to the list of reasons he doesn't initiate conversations.

"You're eyes are gorgeous," The handsome young man said. It froze Michiko dead in her tracks. "Gorgeous?" She thought to herself. That was the first time in her life anyone besides her grandmother had complimented her eyes. She thought about the man's eyes, and found it odd that he was complimenting her. His eyes were the amazing ones. They were hard as steel, and they held the glinting determination of metal gears grinding out progress in a factory. His eyes were completely and utterly alive. They were alive...just like hers. Just like the eyes that haunted her dreams. The ones that sent the screaming into a fever pitch. Michiko stiffened as she realized that those eyes were not normal eyes. She knew he was just another student, but something about him just bothered her. He was too perfect. She pushed the door back and stepped out, forcing herself to keep moving through the shock that threatened to immobilize her like a toxin in the blood stream. "Thank you.. you have wonderful eyes too. I'm sorry for wasting your room. I'll be going now," She turned on her heel and quickly sprinted out of the room. She ran and ran until she was resting against the wall of the building outside. She gasped for air a bit, and clutched Sherri to her chest. Her asthma was acting up again, and at the worst time. It normally wasn't bad, but running after having a panic attack never did anyone's lungs any good. Michiko couldn't shake the thought of the man's eyes out of her brain. She had never met anyone like him, and as much as she wanted to get closer and learn more, she was petrified. It was then that michiko realized that she had forgotten her bag. She could not just leave it though- it had her laptop, and she had to turn in that paper by tommorw and she didn't have a copy of her report on her flash drive. As much as she wanted to leave, she couldn't let her partners down. She slouched against the wall and walked back to the practice room. This day could not get any worse. She peered inside and wished that she was invisible as she slipped back in and hoped the boy wouldn't notice her inching along the wall to grab her bag. She creeped along the sunlit wall as if she were a shadow. It was almost as if she blended into the wall until a cloud blocked the sunlight and she came into view. Of course, Michiko noticed none of this in her tunnel vision to ignore the boy and grab her bag. She wasn't aware she was anything less than human. And she also wasn't aware she had just stepped back into the frying pan.

It wasn't exactly what he'd wanted to say, but it seemed to work like he wanted. She stayed, even if only for a minute longer. If he could just get her name.... Well, he supposed he didn't really need that. He'd be able to pick her out in a crowd. Noticing her eyes gaze way to noticing a certain vibe she gave off - magic. Oh yes, she'd somehow managed to escape a wrath he still harbored after years, but he couldn't figure out how. No matter, he'd be able to find her on campus. Nobody else had eyes like hers, and she'd be standing there long enough for him to gain a decent amount of facial recognition. Orion had never dreamt of meeting another fey - not after... No. No time to think about that right now, there was something more pressing at hand.
She was talking. The other fae was talking. She'd returned the compliment? The male hadn't thought about it, but if he'd gotten a good look at her eyes, then surely she'd gotten a good look at his own. He mentally cursed himself, realizing he'd left his guard down. He'd always been careful of his eyes, not really liking the idea of the humans fawning over them. Making a note to be more careful about that, he realized that she was apologizing again. "It's fine, I'm only grabbing speakers." But it didn't seem to matter what he said, as she seemed set on leaving. And that she did - ran in fact.
Orion stood there a second longer before sighing and running a hand through his hair. "I'll find her later..." he mumbled to himself, turning once again to face the cabinet. Crossing the room once more, he had the cabinet open with a vague flick of his fingers before he even reached it, and grinned a bit, noting his array of choices. Despite the variety, he reached his hand to the very back, grasping his own set. Pulling them out of the cabinet and pushing it closed, he turned around and inspected the room. Well, there weren't any mirrors, but there was a large space and the girl seemingly materializing from the wall.
.... Materializing from the wall? Eyebrows knitting together slightly, he simply stared at the student who he thought was gone. Had his need for danced distracted him to the point that the couldn't hear the door opening again? Obviously it had. "Where did you come from?" Orion questioned, staring at her. Had this not been a question of magic, he wouldn't have cared to voice his question. Ah, but this was different.

"Ah!" Michiko stopped short. "I-I've been here all along. You must have been distracted. I forgot my bag. I'm sorry to interrupt you again," Michiko thought of about a million different things she would rather be doing. She could be sleeping in bed- well sleeping was questionable, but still. Or eating chocolate, or anything but here. She was used to the question, though. She had always been a quiet person, and many people often mistook her for a shadow when they weren't paying attention. Michiko grabbed her bag, and gazed at the floor in his general direction. "I'm sorry if I snuck up on you," she apologized for the fifteenth time that hour. "I really am leaving now," she turned towards the door and started to walk towards it. She wanted to go home and refilll her hot chocolate supply before her night class. She felt her heart drop. Even a gorgeous boy who though she had nice eyes still didn't notice her. She really was just an illusion of light, but a shadow slowly crept over her heart. She faded into the wall for a second, then out again. For michiko didn't realize she had any magic, and her emotions were more than in control right now. She wanted to disappear, but her lack of magical practice had her fading in and out. She wanted to disappear from this unsettling boy, and yet she wanted to get closer. Her heart wavered in bouts of loneliness, and so did she. No one ever payed much attention to her, so this usually went unnoticed. That and the fact that the fae operated on a different wave length helped too.

With the response that she provided, he couldn't help but frown a little. Did she not understand? Didn't she realize that he watched her just appear from seemingly nothing? That wasn't possible. She was clearly a fae, and her eyes told of that. There was no way that she couldn't know what she'd just done. Maybe... Maybe she was trying to play it off? But she'd already seen his eyes so what was the point? Orion bit his lip and glanced away for a second before regaining his composure, his face drop an expression it'd once held - save for his ever expressive eyes. They maintained their mild state of confusion as the clear misunderstanding.
"You didn't do anything wrong," He stated, watching her. Well, to him she had, but that was more of a person problem that he was already planning to take care of later. So, for now, he'd maintain a shred of normalcy about the situation. When she restated her intent of leaving, a second a pure desperation flashed in his eyes before it gone. No! She couldn't leave, not when he'd just found her. It was vital that he found out more about the fae, understood her abilities so to more properly be rid of her. Although... 'No more distractions. Get it together.' The short mental scolding had him clearing his head and watching her once more.
He came back into focus in time to see her momentarily fade into the wall, as well as take note of her change in demeanor. She seemed... upset? Was that the word? He decided it was. So maybe she really didn't know of her abilities, seeing as she had randomly vanished for a second. He had two options: tell her what she just did and hope she believed him, or skirt around the subject and gain her trust. And right now, the latter seemed like the better option. Trust... Shouldn't be hard, right? Gain her trust, get rid of her. Easy, right? Ah, but she was cute... No matter, he'd follow through.
So, he got to work and started simple. "Please, stay. You were here first."

"No, please stay," He said. It caught her off guard by a wide margin. There was a note in his voice that seemed almost desperate. The rational part of her brain told her to get the hell out of the room and not come back, but the weak part told her to stay. It was a soft whispering in her mind; the thought of acceptance. He had already said her eyes were gorgeous, her biggest flaw. If he could accept that, then maybe they could be friends. She had not had a friend since her Gram had died 3 months ago. She had been so lonely, so maybe just this one. No... it couldn't be true, he would just leave like every one else. He would just slash up her heart just like those girls from grade school who had pretended to be her friend just to betray her. And then her Gram's words came to her. "You have to let others in," she had said. 'Gram was right,' she thought, 'I can't just lock everyone out all the time.' She must have hit her head too hard because she was actually considering this insantly beautiful and yet scary creature. Michiko decided with in herself in that moment to let him in. She had nothing to lose: no past, no family, and no real future. Sure, she could at least gain a friend. Michiko, who had been almost invisible up until that point, full materalized as she sat down at the piano bench. "Thank you...um. I don't know your name," She blushed and looked down, clearly embarrassed at her own ignorance.

He'd caught her off guard, that much he could tell. Which, for now, was good. If anything, at least she wouldn't walk through campus looking literally translucent for who knows how long. If she didn't know, then what was in control of her abilities? Maybe her emotions... that's how young faes were before training. It was the only thing that really made sense to him. Orion watched as she just stood there for a few moments. Moments that seemed to make themselves longer than they had to be. Would she really stay? She didn't know him, and he had to admit, he could be intimidating. Or, so he'd been told. For a moment, he began to doubt himself. Maybe today wouldn't be the day he was able to start figuring her out, despite her familiarity.
And then she spoke up, blush taking her face in the cutest way as she came fully into view and took a seat. The male was a bit surprised but relieved all the same, and it flashed in his eyes. He hesitated, watching her for a moment before taking a seat for himself on the floor. When the question of his name pierced his ears, he turned his attention to her once more. "I'm Orion. And you?" Her name was important - it was needed. He'd stolen a census from the Royals and kept it for personal use. If he knew her name, he could at least find out her ability.

"Orion,' She thought, feeling her blush deepen. He had such a wonderful name. Ug. Whatever this boy was doing to her, it was odd. Was this was a crush was? Michiko shook her head for a second, banning all of those forbidden feelings. She wanted to make sure he wasn't a serial killer first, the baby butterflies would have to wait. She started a bit when he asked her name. "M-Michiko Tanaka," She said quietly, feeling odd. No one had asked her her name in a long Time besides her professors- normally because she was at the top of all of her classes. She was a bit surprised that he just sat on the floor, but not wanting to be even more awkward, she just let it go. She needed to get a handle on her emotions and fast. She took a deep breath, and knocked her knees together nervously. It had been too long since she had had an actual conversation not related to academia, and it was clearly showing as her rusty conversation skills hung up the conversation. "I'm a ..um. music and psychology double major. What about you?"

He made note of how her blush got darker, and a minute part of him couldn't help but find it adorable. It was a part of him that needed to stop right this instant considering such thoughts would interfere with what he wanted. Besides, if he'd learned anything for his poor excuses for parents, it was that he was unwanted. It was the only thing that stuck with him over the years. She would be no different. Orion was sure that she'd underestimate him like everyone else did, think poor of him when they parted. She was right to, of course, considering he wanted to kill her. Even still, the thought bothered him.
Ah, but her name. It was pleasant to listen to, and it brought delight to his eyes to hear her say it. "I like it," he murmured, mildly unaware that he'd said it out loud. He didn't know her well, and he wasn't too keen on talking much. Not that he ever was, but less so right now despite the fact that he had to in order to get what he wanted. Even still, the fae was unable to overcome the silence he was hardwired to adopt. His responses were likely to remain short unless something piqued his interest, his face wouldn't express much which would leave emotional expression to his eyes, something he could never control. His eyes were always a dead give away to what he was feeling - a secondary reason he didn't let others get a clear look at them.
But that wasn't his focus, and he was sure to falter today.
Double major, huh? Orion couldn't help but be impressed and it showed in his eyes. He took on a minor and the workload was enough to have him sleeping for ten years straight, but two majors? And both of hers required a good amount of work. "I major in graphic design and minor in music," he paused, thinking. "You sing well, by the way."

Michiko had gotten really good at reading other people over the years. They never noticed her, but she sure learned to notice them. Orion was a lot like her, gaurded, and maybe the tiniest bit shy. And he was hiding something, whether that be pain or something more. At that moment, Michiko felt her heart go out to him, and she knew her downfall had begun. Even since she was little, it had been her worst fault to ignore her own common sense and personal well being and help others however they needed it. Even when kids bullied her, she still made sure to help them. Her grandmother once picked her up after she had taken the blame for a particularly nasty prank, and she had said. "You would help your murderer clean his gun,". Michiko had always been a sucker for sad people, mostly because her heart was usually in a constant state of distress and lonliness. She decided that she could befriend this hurting creature. She saw the admiration in his gaze, and her cheeks grew scarlet as she looked at the ground again. Since when did anyone look up to her? It was kind of a nice feeling, and the happiness that bloomed in her chest was unusual, but not unwelcome. "You sing well," he said. This made her look up at him with a jerk. She didn't have that great of voice, and he was surely just giving her an empty compliment, but it still made her eyes widen and a smile lit up her face as if an internal light switch had been flipped on. She seemed to radiate light as her eyes dancers with the rays of a sun after a story with tiny little rainbows dancing in the deepest recesses of her irises. Michiko had been so dim, but now she was shining vibrantly. After a few moments she stopped being a human lamp, but her eyes still danced happily. "Thank you. I don't sing that well, but I'm glad someone enjoyed it," . Michiko realized she had made eye contact and looked down again, blushing even more fiercely. Her face was going to burn off at this rate.

If anything, Orion was good at noticing the smallest changes in one's person. He was usually good at reading others unless he was distracted, but he always picked up on changes of expression or demeanor. He noticed the way she took compliments, wondering how often she actually received them. Her face was scarlet at this point, though her head snapped up when her singing was mentioned. He wondered what she actually thought about the compliment. No matter the situation, he would never lie about somebody skills. Rather, he tried to avoid lie altogether. Sure, he didn't have the best of intentions, but he still didn't like to lie - it never sat right with him.
Ah, but the actual reaction she had to it threw him slightly. Michiko was literally radiate light as her eyes danced with a new, yet temporary, addition to her scene. He couldn't tell what it was, but he knew it was there. It took a bit of effort for the fae to keep himself from squinting slightly - anything to keep her from questioning his behavior. Soon enough her light faded, and the other student was speaking and.... making eye contact? Odd, she didn't seem like the type. Even still, he enjoyed it considering it gave him the chance to take in her features. But all too soon she'd averted her gaze, flush blazing on her cheeks once more. Gosh, how could she be so cute? Cute... 'Contain yourself, Orion. You barely know her... you don't need to know her. You know what you want.' he thought. Of course, he knew what he wanted, but now it was just a bit harder to obtain.
But back to the conversation at hand. Here sat a beautiful fae, doubting her skills. A part of him thought it to be a shame she couldn't recognize the species she derived from - she'd certainly be far above the humans in any standard. However, she believed she was human, and the concept was a tad hard for him to grasp. How could she? Who brought her to this realm and raised her to think as such? No matter - he'd at least give her the joy of realization before her demise. "Who said you don't sing well?" He asked, wondering if people had told her (incorrectly) that she didn't sound good.

Michiko, who had been smiling up until this point, suddenly frowned. If there had been any trace of light in her before, it was as if it had been snuffed out. She had a better control of her emotions by then, or at the least the sad ones, so she didn't do more then stop glowing and seem to grow a tad gray. "Most everyone, actually. Growing up, whenever I used to sing, every one used cover their ears or laugh at me." The worst had been when she joined choir in middle school was forced sing a solo. Iin her head the memory ran rampant. Her Gram's birthday had been coming up, and she had no money, so when the choir teacher told her she had a solo, she knew she couldn't refuse it. Michiko had locked herself in the choir closet for an hour everyday and just sang and sang until her voice made her stop. The night of the concert, she nailed it. She couldn't wait to see her Gram's face, so she peered into the audience, but all she saw was blank stares. Michiko was crying before she even realized why her face was wet. Her Gram was the only one smiling, but it hardly mattered; she was so shattered she never wanted to sing in public again. From that day forward, she decided to play guitar and piano for the choir since she could not get out of the class, and she could not bare to sing anymore. As soon as she got to High School, the teacher asked her to play, so she kept up with it and eventually decided to major in music for instrumental and not voice. Michiko shook her head to dispel the memories and forced a smile. "I sound pretty bad, anyway. I appreciate the compliment, but I know I'll never be more than lackluster at it,". She blinked, once, and attempted to convince herself there wasn't water in her eyes. She looked back down, now simply a pallid gray, and instead asked. "So, are you a dancer? That is really cool. As you can see, I end up falling on my face when I try to walk or move or.. exist." She wanted this conversation to be away from her public hatred of performance, and she shrank into herself as she talked.

She'd been smiling just a second before, but then she wasn't. Her entire demeanor had shifted, and it wasn't a pleasant shift either. What had he said? No - that was a stupid question. He'd only said one thing. When the student gave her answer, concern flooded his gaze alongside a bit of understanding. While there was no way to be sure if her put downs had been as consistent or severe as his own, he still understood how it felt. Orion could only wonder how young she'd been when it started. Did it continue for more than a year? Did even her family tell her she sounded bad? Why would they lie to her? The other fae clearly had the ability to carry a tune, she had a wonderful sense of musicality, and best of all, she'd been singing in a completely different language. Not many could say they had that ability.
So why would they put her down in such a way? He always thought that humans had high appreciation for music - it was familiar and expressive. The only thing that wasn't was probably... Her eyes. Were they the source of her ridicule? They were bright yellow to the normal eye, however, they were still beautiful - unique. Didn't the humans like to marvel at the things that were unusual? Sometimes they did, though, he realized they were picky when it came to physical appearance. The corners of his mouth turned down slightly in a barely noticeable frown. He'd definitely give her the joys of realization before he was rid of her. She deserved it.
And then Michiko was speaking once more, and he decided that he'd leave the topic of her singing alone for now. Rather, he turned his attentions to her new question. 'Are you a dancer?' she'd asked. So, she knew? Not many would look at him and guess that he was a dancer, and a bit of surprise flitted through his eyes before it was gone. "Yeah, I'm a dancer. It's nothing special, though," he answered, taking in her following statements. He noted the way she'd dimmed significantly and receded into herself slightly. At the mention of her fall, he couldn't help but glance away if only for a second. In a way, that was his fault seeing as he'd intruded on her space. "I'm sorry for that. I hadn't meant to startle you."

Good lord my heart<3
Michiko was relieved that they were off the topic of her music and childhood. She never had any family to tell her that she was bad, and all she remembered after age 13 ( a baby in the fae years) was being raised by her loving grandmother in a world that hated her. She sometimes had strange dreams of a far away land filled with love and light and flowers. Sometimes, though, the dreams would be nightmares of iron and burning and screaming. She decided she ought to push those thoughts way somehow. Michiko still felt a bit off, and she wondered how to bridge the gap between herself in her current state and the position of friendship she wanted to reach. When he said that he doubted his dancing, an idea slowly bloomed in her head. "It's fine, really." Michiko said, waving her hand a bit. "It was my fault for hiding away in the corner working on a paper in a place of music. I'm sure you're much more talented than me." She looked down, troubled, and then a sudden conviction entered her eyes. "I.I'm sorry, but I want to see you dance. I'll play the piano to any piece of music you want. I'm sorry if that is a weird request, but I'm weird, but I get to know people better through music. So please. I-I'm sorry." She looked down again, having lost most of her confidence as her voice faded out at the end of her proposition. She figured she was about to lose another friend to her oddity, but she wanted to see him dance, and if he was good, she wanted to compliment him and give him more confidence. She knew what it felt like to be a living shell, and she didn't want that for him.

He wanted to go back to the topic. He wanted her to know how good she truly was. While he didn't want to admit it to himself, he really wanted to listen to her again. Her voice was beautiful and he wanted to hear more of it. Orion wouldn't press her, though. It wouldn't be good for gaining her trust if he pushed her out of her comfort zone, and he didn't really have a reason to do so anyways. So, for now, he'd leave it, wondering if he'd be able to hear her again in the near future.
Back to the conversation. "It's not your fault - you were here first," was the first logical response he could come up with. As the conversation took a turn back to talent, he could no longer meet her gaze as he looked towards the speakers he'd set down next to him. He wasn't that good - sure, he could easily learn choreographies, mimic those who taught it to him or those he learn from over videos. That was easy for him, just to copy people in such a way. It was nothing compared to putting together your our routine or adding your own flare to something that was pre-existing. The fae had trouble with that as he never liked how it looked. It never looked right to him, so he'd ditched the idea entirely, settling for learning choreographies that were recommended to him no matter the style.
Then the other student had a request - one that he'd refuse if it were anybody else. Only a few had been able to see him dance, an even smaller amount of them being outside of his family. Those who were outside his family were close to him, sure, but they'd been by accident, walked in on him while he was practicing. But they knew him, so he'd occasionally show them dances in hopes of receiving any form of praise. But her request startled him slightly, and he grew a tad tense. Even still, he needed to get close to her, and he felt oddly comfortable around her, so.... "It's not weird." There was a pause, and he mulled over his thoughts for a moment. "I don't mind. I've got a playlist you can look through. If there's a song you know you can play that one, but you can pick any song you want, really. I mean, there are speaker if you don't want to play." Definitely the most he'd said all day.
