This seemed to be going too well. After years of rivalry Jack thought it would have been harder. He smiled and replied "Great, what do you want to do? See a movie? Go to the park?" he was open for just about anything.

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Text
βοΈIC:βοΈ "I don't know, you pick something, we'll go with that." Hopefully now he could focus on his homework...even if his mind was elsewhere. Was he really going to go on a date with the person who was supposed to be his nemesis? Since when was he okay with this?...He didn't know but...well it just seemed to work, despite the fighting and arguments, Norman didn't really think deep down he got over the crush he had had on him years ago.

"Alright. Meet me at the theaters on Saturday then." he finished the conversation with that and set his phone down. Rolling over to his stomach he buried his face into the pillow and sighed once again. Hopefully it would go well. This was a first step of sorts to get over the rivalry and hatred(?) that had been building.

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Text
βοΈIC:βοΈ "What time?" Norman should probably figure out when he was supposed to be there, so he could check with his brothers to make sure it was okay, but he figured he should be good, and really...he did need to get back to his homework now, so he could make dinner later. So he really needed to get this off his mind and out of the way for a bit.

Oh yeah. He checked the movie times and decided that they would be seeing Moana at 9. Normally he would go for something cooler, but Moana seemed like a good middle ground they would both like. He relayed this info and pushed himself to a sitting position.

His mother returned to the house around eleven. This was early for her. After greeting Jack she retreated to her room for some much needed rest. Jack took the time to finish off the essay he had been working on yesterday. Working for long periods of time didn't appeal to him. Instead he managed his time so he could do a little at a time and still get it done. As it neared midnight he retreated to his room. After snatching some clothes he took a shower and changed into his pajamas. Yawning, he decided it was his turn to get some much needed sleep.

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Text
βοΈIC:βοΈ He had finished his homework and put it all away before getting dinner ready. Tonight they were having spaghetti, so he made the food and set the table, glancing over at the clock on the microwave. His brothers should be home any second, and they were, soon three older men walked in and Norman grinned. "Hey, how was work?" He asked and got a few mixed responses.
Nikolas, his oldest brother, went over to him and ruffled his hair playfully. "Well, working at the library is not fun, but it pays," he explained and went to wash his hands as Ty, his second oldest brother, darted to the cookie platter on the counter.
"Sweet-cookies," he said and went to grab one before Kai, the third oldest, slapped his hand away.
"After dinner Ty," he lectured and Ty grumbled. "Anyways, Norman-work was fine, I see you made dinner, and cookies, how thoughtful," Kai told him and followed in Niko's footsteps, ruffling his hair then washing his hands for dinner.
Ty did the same. "Yeah, thanks Norman, how was school?" He asked.
Norman shrugged. "Fine...I'm going on a date on Saturday," he added and that certainly did its job of shocking his three older brothers.
He quickly went over everything with them and they agreed to let him go, and after dinner they watched a movie together before Norman went off to get ready for bed before falling asleep. If anything else, today had been interesting.

The next day was Friday. Jack woke to find a note on the table. It read: 'I have excused you from school today. Please take the day to clean the house. Your father is coming home Sunday. I knew you would be displeased if I made you do it Saturday, so take the time now.' It was signed with a small heart and Jack knew it was his mothers. It was nice and all to get out of school, but he would have liked to see Norman.

βοΈIC:βοΈ Meanwhile Norman had gotten to school and was currently in his first class, and as the bell rang and Jack wasn't there he was...surprised? Worried? He didn't know, but he figured he probably shouldn't focus too much on it...even though it did end up bothering him and Ives and Thaddeus asked him if he was okay fairly often, which he answered with ease throughout the class, but still...where was he?

Jacks friends were equally as confused. They had texted him without knowing he had put headphones in to clean. Ben was chatting with Gordon "You don't suppose he's sick?" "No, when was the last time he got sick. I'm not sure he's even capable. Something must've come up with his family."

βοΈIC:βοΈ This was going to bother him...but he had to somehow ask Jack's friends where he was...discreetly. So he looked over since the teacher was busy. "Hey! Where the Jack---?" He asked rudely, figuring best to keep up appearances all the same and that sounded like something he would say during their old dispute.

Ben glared over at their group "Why so curious? Eager to get defeated so soon?" he didn't have an answer to the question either. Finally Gordon said "Not that you really care. He was probably caught up in some family stuff." Ben looked irritated that Gordon had answered. Gordon was a newer friend. He knew about the feud, but wasn't as invested as Ben. (I have to go for the night)

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Alright, night!
βοΈIC:βοΈ "I was just wondering if he was too chicken to come to school now," Norman explained with a small scoff. "I'm assuming he will be here next week though, better enjoy the one day of peace," he decided before turning back to his own stuff. Ugh...He hadn't dared told his friends about the date he was going on tomorrow, mostly because they would not understand, and he was honestly pretty glad that it hadn't seemed like Jack had said anything about it yesterday either.

"Oh please. He would never be scared of you." Ben looked irritated at the comment and turned around. He started to work on their assignment, though he looked like he would much rather use the knife on Normans group. Not that he actually would. Despite his actions Ben wasn't one for blood. It made him sick to his stomach.
(Sorry for being so inactive!! ;-; This week has been hectic. As for the rp, you can either skip to the end of school, text Jack and have him reply, or rp some more classes? Idk, it's really up to you since Jack isn't in school atm.)

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Sure.
βοΈIC:βοΈ After school ended, and Norman had made his way home, he pulled out his phone and sent a quick text to Jack. "You okay? I didn't see you at school today." After sending that, he put the phone on his counter and started to the kitchen to get started on dinner for his brothers.

Jack finally got around to looking at his phone. There were plenty of notifications, but his eye was drawn to Normans text first. Opening his phone he replied 'Oh yeah. I had to stay home and do some work. Sorry I didn't mention anything. Miss me ;}'. Even reading it over made him realize how cheesy he sounded, but he ended up sending it anyways.

βοΈIC:βοΈ Norman paused as his phone vibrated on the cold counter and he placed the cheese block and the grater down and walked back over to the phone. He looked at the text and rolled his eyes at the text, smiling slightly. "Of course, who was I supposed to squabble with?" he joked, sending the text and bringing his phone over to where he was working so he could get back to cooking.

βοΈOOC:βοΈ Text
βοΈIC:βοΈ "Well that's true, what are you up to?" Honestly it was still a bit weird...texting Jack so casually like this. A date planned for tomorrow...it seemed sort of surreal. What if it didn't go well? They return to normal?...what if it did go well and they started dating? How would anyone react to that? He was thinking too far ahead...he should probably focus on taking it one day at a time.

'I just finished cleaning up the main room. It doesn't get too messy because we rarely use it, but the dust is enough to make it a job.' Jack was quite pleased with his work. It was true about the use. His family was rarely all in the same room at once. At most they would talk for a few minutes, or pass each other as they went on with their own daily routine.

βοΈIC:βοΈ Norman was a bit busy cooking to answer right away so he really wasn't able to answer for a few minutes. "Sounds like fun." He texted when he could before getting back to making the enchiladas for dinner, he liked to make something different every night and so they had to keep a good stalk of groceries just so Norman could use them, but hey at least he put them to good use.

Jack snorted and replied 'I wish cleaning was fun. I never understand when people say they think it is.' he paused for a moment then added 'Are you the type that likes to clean? You can cook, being able to clean well would make you a very cliche but perfect housewife.'

βοΈIC:βοΈ He glanced at the next and smirked slightly. "Well then I guess I am a very cliche housewife. But just for the record, it's not that I like cleaning, it's that I hate messes." 'Wow! Whoever marries you will be quite lucky.' he meant it in a joking way, though somewhere in his mind he meant it completely 'Next your gonna tell me you know how to sew.' his father actually knew how to sew. Jack could never wrap his mind around it. Once he had tried, but nearly spiked his finger. Never again.
