Lou sighed. She hadn't expected for anyone to be onboard, much less make demands. She was relatively sure that the Captain had anticipated this, though, as he'd given orders of a careful approach as opposed to the usual taking over of entire ships for it's cargo. In this case, they'd been told to approach slowly and without attracting much attention, so maybe she should have foreseen this after all.
"I'm afraid that won't be possible," Lou responded, her tone cool and even. "This ship and it's crew is locked on its target, and I'm afraid the only person on board with the authority to call it off would never meet your demands. I was hoping for the element of surprise, but since your ship was manned, that was a stupid thing to wish for. We'll be boarding in under half an hour, whether that's by invitation or force. I doubt anyone here minds either way. I suggest you let us in, that'll make this whole thing easier for both of us." With that, she laid down the transmitter.
To her credit every word was true. She didn't have the authority to call this mission off. She was highly ranked on this ship, high enough to yell at the crew and do virtually whatever she wanted without consequense, years of hard work had ensured that, but she wasn't in charge here. She didn't choose the missions they took, and she didn't call them off. Not that the Captain ever did, either.

( Oh no, please don't worry about it! I completely understand, that's happened to me so many times I've lost count at this point. Thanks for explaining though, I appreciate that ^^ )
