Nope, I think that's all we've got so far.
Did we want to figure something more complex out, because I'm totally up for that.

sure I think that would be a cool thing to do, give it a little spice.
Especially if the whole space travel thing is prevalent, there would be a lot of new conflicts to uncover. It could be a whole new empirical era, but instead of americas/africa, it's whole new planets. Conflict between the countries, and maybe even hopes for autonomy in some of them. idek throwing things out there.

Oh my god, I love that! I love (for lack of a better word) that part of history, so doing something similar but sci-fi would be great. And you can always add to it. Like, one problem is solved and then another one, totally unrelated to it, could be introduced without straining the plot too much.

Okay so I haven't coded anything in a long while but for now this may or may not do for a thing. Tbh just want to mess with html/bbc again I miss it
Don't mind me just testing things.
The little tan apprentice sat to the side of the clearing, trying to hold back a yawn. His light green eyes roamed the camp, though he didn't really know what he was looking at -- or for. It was a lazy morning, the time seeming to trickle by without anything happening at all. He pulled his paw through the dirt, absentmindedly making shapes and whorls in the dust. This was routine. He'd usually be found here, watching, at this time of day. That's what kept Coyotepaw going: his routine. Now was the time to sit by and watch. The tan tom blinked, then covered up the lines in the dirt again. He shook the dirt off his paw before licking the dust from the fur, and then watched some more. Like, one problem is solved and then another one, totally unrelated to it, could be introduced without straining the plot too much. mhm. and it could influence a bit of the plot too, if you'd like. Maybe your character is an ambassador/scientist/spy/reporter/other (from Earth?) and my gal is 'assigned' to pilot/show her around? or vice versa. Then when we run out of plot points, the other could have orders from somewhere else to do something destructive (against a rebel/nationalist movement perhaps) and there's conflict between orders and friendship?

I'm in love with this idea tbh. Two things came to mind reading your post. First, I'm kind of really in the mood for some space pirates right now, in one form or another, so maybe we could do some kind fo thing where our characters are assigned to track these space pirates down, my character (who's either never been to space or is just really inexperienced) is sent because these pirates are from Earth, and so according to intergalactic law, someone from Earth has to be there during the arrest to make sure that it follows all regulations on their home planet, where they'll later be put on trial. Or something like that, idek. I'm just throwing things out there right now.
Alternatively, if we want the plot be a little more lax at first, maybe Earth has only just gotten in touch with the world outside of our own solar system, and my character is one of the people chosen to go out and befriend ambassadors from other planets. Your character is hired in by the government/assigned by her planet/whatever to help mine get around and to teach her about alien life so that she can eventually talk to officials from other planets/galaxies/whatever with some understanding of their culture.

Space pirates can always be a thing. xD Space police? Maybe something top secret/high threat was almost accidentally stolen during a raid and they couldn't send the 'normal' space police (because if there are other settlements, I bet they'll find some way to police space by then) so your gal was just thrown up there for special qualifications? Either that, or either one of our gals could BE one of the space pirates and gets captured by the other side ;D
The second one works too. Alternatively, that plot could be happening and my pilot could be taking your gal to the planet she should be on, both get ambushed by these space pirates and taken prisoner (or have a firefight and crash land onto an uninhabited planet they have to survive in)

Ahhhhh, they're all great ideas. What to do with myself here...
To be completely honest, one of them being a space pirate is really tempting right now i live for enemies falling in love, okay? when it's done right it's so wonderful and fluffy and warm The first one also sounds really cool. Space crime is so intriguing to me in general, what kind of Swede would I be if crime fiction wasn't one of my favourite things?
I really like all of them, though. Is there one you prefer over the others?

Hmmm. . . how about a combo here. Either character is escorting some unknown top secret material from space back to earth (either my gal would drive it or yours would be the intelligence/authority in escort). Along the way they are jumped by space pirates (tbh your gal would probably be in charge of them all if she plays that role, or mine being in charge of captives).
Tbh I have ideas for both roles so if you have any sort of preference now's the time. xD
Extra plot points: pirates are trying to figure out what the object is (maybe AI?) and are maybe even the good guys.

The pirates should definitely be the good guys, I'm all for that!
I think your idea sounds good! I really don't have a preference either way since I'd really need to make someone new either way (which I'm all for, don't get me wrong). Whichever you'd prefer me to take is fine. And if you're as indecisive as me, we can always flip a coin or something.

Ahhh, I just realised how weirdly I phrased that. In case you missed it (I got confused by your response and rereading my own post), the question was forms or no forms?
I'm fine with whatever you'd prefer in that regard, though I probably want to spend a little time developing my character whatever you do (whether I share it or not is up to you) since they'll be brand new.

Alexandria 'Alex' Kapon stands at 5'7, and has a slightly chubbier body type than the average. Her ethnicity is primarily Russian, but other Asian bloodlines have mingled in, giving her a rounder face and dark brown eyes. She kept her black hair long until recently, when she decided to cut it to her chinline.
Alex has always been something of a rebel. She doesn't like to follow orders so much as break them, and hates being cut off or interrupted. She usually has something witty or sarcastic to say, and doesn't much care for other's opinions of her.
She has never known what is was like to want, both of her parents being highly placed officials in the World League [thinking this would be like a world government thing that basically rules earth. Kind of like the UN but not]. They had wanted Alex and her brother Ivan to follow in their footsteps, but although both siblings did place in governmental positions, both also had other plans for their futures. Ivan went on to become a inter-planetary scientist while Alex enrolled herself in flight school to learn to pilot space jets. This put her in somewhat of bad standing with her parents, as both were against the use of space as a resource for humankind to ruin. However, this also made her an asset, as she was able not to function as an ambassador outside of earth.

So, Lou is modeled after how I understood the plot, so please do point out any mistakes I made in capturing what you meant. Anyway, here she is.
Dana Louise "Lou" Rathi is of average height, standing at around 5'6". She has only very slight curves, giving her a boyish figure. Her mother passed down many south-Asian features, black hair, olive skin and dark eyes. Her hair is shoulder length, just long enough to be tied back in a bun but not long enough to get in the way and completely straight. Her forearms are peppered with small scars that she'd collected over the years she worked with mechanics.
Lou is most easily described with the word determined. Her determination and stubbornness is what's gotten her to where she is today. She's quite formal, and really quite lacking in humour. She's not exactly a rule-enforcer though, rules aren't and never were her thing, so who would she be to judge, right?
Lou was raised primarily by her father who worked as a mechanic. Lou started working alongside him from an early age and well into her teen years by which point she was able to do most of his work for him if he needed it. Her mother left the pair early, so she's close to her dad's new wife, even calling her mum without hesitation. The two are surprisingly close. In fact, it was her step-mother who suggested that she start working with larger things,´. So she did, starting with space-ships. Her proficiency with mechanics allowed her to board her first space-ship in her teens. She was the onboard mechanic for a few months, before leaving that crew to join a small group of self-proclaimed rebels and pirates. She rose in the ranks and now works more with bossing the crew around than the mechanics.

Description is fun sometimes EDIT: adding a bit more because why not nope researching moons instead Also fixing moons because I named the wrong one to my intention. Also maybe backstory on Europa [satellite moon of Jupiter]: probably one of the first outer belt location settled because a) it's close b) comprised of similar materials to earth [including ice and an atmosphere of oxygen] c) it's pretty big [about the size of earth's moon]. So it's one of the 'closest and oldest' of the outposts and is basically a post office for products on earth to be shipped out to other places)
Okay just spent an hour researching some of Jupiter's more prominent moons. (yeah I'm a nerd and this is actually interesting)
Europa could likely sustain 'life' (humans comfortably, when modified) if given more magnetic field for a sustainable atmosphere, more gravity (it's 1/10th of earth's), more heat (-100C), and less radiation (which could be fixed by giving a better atmosphere). Energy is unlimited in the form of tides and solar. There probably wouldn't be enough mass to have volcanic activity that actually reaches the surface to create land, but structures could be made on/in the ice, especially within the deep 'cracks' on the surface.
Io is warmer, but comprised of mostly sulfurous materials that would probably not be good to live around (like living on Venus). and lots of volcanoes.
Ganymede is larger, and with a rocky surface. It has a great magnetic field with a core much like earth's , and even traces of ozone. However the gravity is even less here with a very, very thin atmosphere. This would be the second most likely to be used as a base, and would be easier to maintain but harder to set up the things needed to keep humans happy there.
-----------------------------
"Dammit," Alex growled, pounding a fist against the speaker. It gave a splutter of static, but the words didn't form themselves into anything Alex could comprehend. "Julie, you copy? Gimme a green blink. Julie. Alex to base, this is Dragon Five, do you copy?" A monotone buzz was the only reply. She gave the speaker another pound in frustration, but that was no more successful. The pilot's chair squeaked as she swiveled it around, pushing off and letting momentum carry her to the rear of the ship. That was where the food was. Protocol dictated that there be enough food for almost a year on each cruiser, and although most of the storage was comprised of nutrameal packs (Ivan swore the bags had more flavor), there was also a few weeks worth of actual food that was restocked each landing. She was glad her trips usually didn't last more than a month. Temper partially recovered through the magic of ravioli (and chocolate, as a treat, of course), she made her way back to the pilot's seat. The monitors blipped and beeped like they should, and didn't display anything different since when she had last checked them over. The ship's course was still set to Europa, the path having been set before she even boarded. It was a much-frequented trade route, and one that already was impressed upon the computer's brain. Alex really had little to do in the manner of piloting, and the trip could have been made by a drone. It would have been, had not for some. . . special cargo she was in charge of escorting. Should a complication come up in the route, an occasional lost drone carrying toothpicks would never be missed, but it had been very clear that she would make sure this shipment should arrive safely. She was to do whatever she had to do in order to deliver this ship and it's cargo right to the hands of authority once she landed. It was top priority. Whatever it was. Dragons (help them grow <3)

( Sorry this took so long! Things have been busy and I haven't been feeling well over these last few days. )
When Lou had caught word of the cargo that was to be delivered to Europa, she hadn't reacted in any way that was out of the ordinary. Precious cargo was delivered to Europa all the time, everything from state of the art technology to huge amounts of money. She didn't expect this to be any different. But, as always, she'd approached the captain with the information she'd gotten, and he'd had a much different, much more unexpected reaction. So now she found herself leading a crew headed to intercept the ship, and the only person onboard who knew why was the Captain, who was still choosing not to tell her. Lou didn't question him, though, because she'd learned a long time ago that it was not only futile but that he made decisions that were lucrative for them all.
She sighed, walking into the cockpit to seat herself next to the pilot. "How long until we reach the ship," she asked, tapping her foot impatiently and running her fingers over the dashboard.
"A few hours now, at the most," the pilot replied, pushing her hands away, earning him a hard glare. "But I think it's more like ten minutes, I've been picking the ship up on the radar for a while now, and we're catching up quickly."
Lou nodded, leaning back in the chair she'd claimed. "Good. I'm getting painfully curious as to what, exactly, it is we're stealing this time." She stopped speaking, and though the pilot made no move to continue the conversation, she didn't move. This was her best vantage point, and she hadn't been exaggerating when she said that this waiting was getting painful.
The pilot was right, it seemed, because only a short while later, she could see the ship out of the cockpit's windows, and two minutes after that, she felt the whole ship shudder as it slowed to fall into step beside it.

It's cool, I've been busy having a cold too x.x
-----------------------------
"Dragon Five to base, over." Alex tapped the arm of her chair quickly, partly in frustration, but more and more in fear as the minutes passed without signal. It wasn't unusual to lose contact around this point on the route --there was a lot of metals, some radioactive, in the rock around this part of the belt, and it really interfered with any waves sent out-- and so she had just went along with her way. Normal. Safe along the prescribed route. Younger pilots may have been anxious without backup on call, but she was seasoned. Radio was merely a precaution in the small chance that something were to go wrong. Something was going wrong. The red dot had appeared on the radar sometime around three hours ago, maybe four. That, too, was no cause for alarm. This was a trafficked belt, and while she hadn't seen any other ships on the schedule, there were other organizations with better ships (ones that didn't lose radio, she thought with more than a hint of disgust) that may have been sharing the airlane. Besides, it was quite a distance away, almost at the edge of her sonar. She hadn't worried until it had gotten a ring closer than protocol dictated was safe. It didn't veer back off on another path, no. She could tell when something was tailing her. "Dragon Five to base, we have an unidentified aircraft in sight, please respond, over. Base, do you copy?" The monotone buzz was the only reply. Alex took a deep breath, calming her hands. She'd keep the line open, but she doubted she'd receive any help quick enough; the other ship was within two rings now. With the speed it was going, she guessed she had less than an hour if she didn't do something. One more deep breath, then she started to do what she had spent years practicing and occasionally doing when no one was there to see: she gradually started to ease the control of the ship off of the motherboard and into her hands. Off a whim, she flicked on the short-wave radio. It was outdated, and most ships didn't even come equipped with them ever since new findings of more reliable communications have been put into use. But perhaps this other ship still had it. Worth a shot, Alex thought, pressing the button that allowed the radio to transmit her words. "Hello, this is Dragon Five, Trascruiser of the Russian Command Fleet. Identify yourselves." Dragons (help them grow <3)

( Thanks ^^ The mythology nerd in me came out to name the ship xD It seemed fitting enough, and I really like the name, so I went for it. For reference, CS here is intended to mean cargoship and not cruiseship. )
The CS Arganaut wasn't a new ship by any means, but during the years that Lou had been working on it, it had transform from a husk that paled in comparison to even the middleclass of ships to something powerful. Really, the only part of it that hadn't been replaced was the exterior, and even that had recieved some updates. It was almost as if it didn't count as the same ship anymore. Despite being vastly more up to date now, though, the old radio remained untouched There was no reason to take it out, other forms of communications didn't need half as much space, so it had stayed. Lou couldn't remember the last time she'd used it.
The radio sparked into life, and a female voice could be heard behind static and buzzing - the negatives of such old tech. The pilot beside her reached for the transmitter, but she slapped his hand away. He sighed, but pulled his hand back obediently.
"This is the CS Arganaut, responding to a request of identification," Lou spoke into it, leaning back in her chair, transmitter still in hand. "Why are you contacting us?" she continued, though she was sure that she knew why. They were alarmingly close now, and closing in steadily. Any pilot worth their salt would be worried and try reaching out.

Heh yeah more creative than 'Dragon'.
-----------------------------
Alex was more than a little surprised when the speaker came crackling to life. Even more surprising was that it had been a response from the ship tailing her, and not the tech back on Earth. She let go of a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, and her hands relaxed somewhat from the death grip she had been exerting on the manual joysticks. A cargoship. The captain probably had left the controls in the hands of a lesser for a rest, the ship did look too old to have accurate enough autopilot without at least having someone keep an eye on it. She even allowed herself a little smile as the logic fell into place. Alex pushed the button again, opening the connection to the other ship. "I would advise you to please back off to a distance acceptable to protocol." Dragons (help them grow <3)
