Nephley made a daring gesture. She shoved his shoulder playfully. She'd pushed him into a lake already, how much worse could it get? He had no reason to attack anymore, anyhow.
His magic still had her just as fascinated. She couldn't manage to spark fire at her fingertips. She could create potions to get luck on her side, cast love spells without fail, even perform black magic strong enough to kill a man, but the direct control of the elements was impossible to master. Only the Goddess could do that.
She rolled her eyes again. "Oh, please. You aren't that charming." There was still a hint of amusement to her voice.

Main Girl: Skylar Brennan- A tall and slender Japanese-American girl, she looks more American than Japanese, in all honestly. She has long bright ginger hair, the same bright orange as fire, and blue-green eyes the color of the sea. Some of her Japanese heritage is visible in the shape of her features-- she has soft almond eyes with their hidden eyelids, and high cheekbones. Having grown up in Japan, she is fluent in Japanese, though she's also fluent in English as well.
Here's something for the main girl! I'm going to head to bed and I promise I'll get something for my guy up soon cx ))

... ↪ Avi nooo your main girl has my boyfriend's name I'm screaming x'D
You're okay, Rocky. The person that asked about Misa's Reprisal made a post that they were withdrawing but then deleted it is all, shrug o:
... ↪ Even her touch seemed to warm his icy skin that must feel as cold as the surface of the lake. Staring off into the distance, he did his best to ignore the faces she was making and watch the reflection of the moon on the water prior to her nudge at his shoulder. That's when Everett looked over at her again, and this time noticed the steely-look of her eyes. Something his unblinking eyes cared to study, but then there was the sound of footsteps on the gravel.
A splitting-image of Everett had approached them and his look was curious yet disapproving. The differences were that his hair was shaggier, his eyes were darker, and rather than wearing a spiffy button-up shirt, vest, and tie, the newcomer looked disheveled and dangerous in a trenchcoat. "I realize we started chasing after different deer and got separated, but did you think I wouldn't come find you? If you wanted to be alone with your girl, you should have known that and hid somewhere better," he sneered in a tone that was condescending.
The twin and his brother were used to having many women be attracted to them over time. Being centuries old yet looking prime in a younger-to-middle twenties state had its perks. The second Everett thought it was some vampyric girl that his brother had brought along to this lake, because it was undeniably a romantic view and he'd give him that, but then the shaggier-haired twin inhaled the crisp night air and his gaze went noticably more amber. Was this girl's scent human?

Human, maybe, but not pure. Nephley turned to look when the second pair of footsteps sounded. So much for "not ruining the moment".
She was surprised to see a carbon copy of the vampire she had just met standing behind her in a trenchcoat. Her eyes flicked between him and the boy next to her for a moment, and then she stood up. "I'll be on my way. I didn't know I was interrupting." She let herself trail off, looking Everett's twin up and down almost as condescendingly as his words had been.
She had no idea that he suspected her at all. She was a witch, not a mind reader.

XD really? That's actually really funny xD
And now for her male friend: Ren Hideki- Ren is a short and stocky boy. He isn't exactly fat, but he tends more toward the "husky" side, being a bit bigger than the average boy. He has a round, merry face and a big smile; he has slightly long black hair and very dark brown, almost black eyes.

... ↪ • Everett and Marlow Beridan | Under the Moonlight w/ Rocky If Nephley's plan was to leave, she would have had to pass by the newcomer to do so. He would have attempted to grab at her arm to keep her in place whether she'd tried to go around him or even if she stayed in front of him with her snarky gaze. When the twin did so, Everett pushed himself hurriedly onto his feet and stepped forward protectively.
"Marlow, don't," Everett pleaded in a harsh tone, holding out his hand in an effort to make a 'stop' gesture, because he didn't want to just pull Nephley away and crowd her. The aforementioned Marlow kept his grip and leaned closer to sniff the girl, and his amber eyes flared at her. Perhaps his deer hunt hadn't been as successful as Everett's had been.
In this direct moonlight, it was unbeknownst to the vampires that a witch's magic got a lot more powerful. Marlow didn't know she was one, but his eyes did flicker over to his brother because of his defenses and saw how fairly damp he looked, making a note to ask why he decided to go for a swim to the lake. He wouldn't say anything yet though, because he was leaning in towards the girl's neck now. Everett wasn't going to have all the fun, but Marlow wouldn't stop his twin if he decided to join in once he started feasting.

She made the move to leave, heading back towards the forest she'd come from, but Everett #2 had her by the elbow now. She gasped when he grabbed her, tilting her head up slightly to look him in the eyes. Something was off. His eyes were a different color than Everett's, a much more fiery-- No. She had to do something, something quick, something now.
Nephley lashed out, hitting him in the stomach with her elbow and spitting out the first generic spell that came to mind: "Deam luna, arcendum malum!"
It wasn't a spell that usually worked on a whim, but it was nowhere near malicious. It would just give her enough time to dart. At least, that was the plan. She could feel her skin start to tingle with what she only assumed was electricity, enough to hopefully shock his hand off of her and open up a window for her escape. And if that failed, well, now there was no question that she was a witch.

... ↪ • Everett and Marlow Beridan | Under the Moonlight w/ Rocky Not that the shock of electricity did enough to harm Marlow for more than a few moments, but it did zap his hand quick enough that he immediately brought it to his face to examine the seared scar that morphed back into healed skin right after. It was then that he realized that the girl was no longer there, escaped into the woods—no doubt. Everett was already jogging forward to the line of trees longingly, but had to pause to turn and glare at his brother. This was only buying the witch more time perhaps on purpose or on accident.
"Care to explain, eh?" Marlow grimaced as he gestured to his hand and over towards the foliage where the girl had escaped. "Is she not a human you lured here that did this to me or did you manage to burn the palm of my hand somehow?" he pressed, referring to Everett's power of fire that could have just as well been the cause to his one-second injury, but his loss of a good meal in the process. Everett frowned at his twin. He didn't want to give away Nephley's identity, but he also didn't want to lose her this way.
There was no reason for Everett to chase after her, especially if Marlow was potentially going to be in tow. He had just met her and they were from completely different worlds, but he ran after her into the woods anyway. Honestly, he just felt like apologizing for his brother's behavior, which was a common thing he did for anyone who had the unfortunate happenstance of crossing paths with him. On top of that, maybe if Everett got them together and explained the situation, maybe Marlow would understand then and leave he and Nephley be.

((sorry, had some stuff to do today ^^ ))
The young witch found herself stumbling through the woods, a little too shaken to focus on the path at her feet. She stopped a while in to catch her breath. He wasn't after her anymore. He couldn't be after her. She leaned against one of the nearby trees, breathing in deeply to calm herself down and looking up at the moon. It was barely visible through the foliage of the trees. She sighed quietly, closing her eyes for a second until she heard leaves crunching behind her.
Her head snapped around to face whoever was approaching. She saw his face first and tensed before realizing that the clothes were definitely Everett's. "What... Why did you follow me?"
