Ack, agreed. I freaking HATE Korra. I could barely watch the first season, and after only an episode or two of season 2 I was just like "Yeah, no," and walked out. Korra's personality just makes me want to punch her.
For now. Seth is so gonna change that once he gets her alone. xD Gael hardly noticed Anya's fireball when it hit him just behind his ear, but he did snarl, in pain and anger, when Corrik's clawing managed to draw blood. But he didn't let go of his hold. If anything, he bit down harder and forced Corrik's head into the dirt in an effort to subdue the smaller dragon.
Well, she'd certainly yelled at him, but at least she'd answered his question while doing so. And it was clear she wasn't hurt - just pissed off and worried about her dragon. Which was understandable, he realized when he turned around. Corrik was putting up a good fight, but Gael still held the advantage. Not just because of his greater size and experience, but because of his hold on Corrik's throat. Gael could end this fight whenever he wanted, and there was little Corrik or Anya could do to stop him.
Seth took hold of Anya's arm and dragged her backward, further away from the fighting dragons. "There's nothing you can do to help," he said. His gaze was no longer on the dragons. "But don't worry." He pointed skyward, a smirk playing at the edges of his lips. "I called for backup."
And backup came, plummeting so fast the wind whistled over her scales. Her wings shot out at the last second, slowing her descent, but she still hit Gael with the force of a hurricane. The large dragon released Corrik with a roar of pain, rage... and fear. Stel had all four of her claws latched on to him, and the strength of her initial hit drove him off of Corrik and into the ground, creating a large furrow in the earth as he slid right into the surrounding trees. They came crashing down around them, but neither dragon noticed. Gael tried to get up, tried to throw Stel off, but with a snarl and a lightning fast reaction, one foot lashed out and slammed his face back down. She growled menacingly into his face, her amber eyes blazing.
Silas, who had been watching Gael put Corrik in his place with no small amount of satisfaction, was stunned stupid by the sudden appearance of Stel - and Gael's easy defeat under the silver dragon's ferocity. But then he realized whose dragon this was, and his gaze shot across the clearing to lock on Seth. "Accio!" he shouted. "Call off your beast! She is not permitted to be in Ilirea, or the House grounds! Or had you forgotten?"
Neither Seth nor Stel had forgotten that little detail, but both had decided to take the risk. Seth didn't bother to answer Silas, though, and instead turned deliberately away. Doing so pissed Silas off more than any response Seth could have made anyway, and seeing Silas's face go red with his fury was such a satisfying sight. He just hoped Anya was done siphoning, because the anger in this clearing was powerful and palpable.

( I'd rather restart our plot. I don't remember anything important happening the first time. What type of project would the two be working on? I know it should be something requiring a lot of time spent together, both in and out of school, but specific project ideas aren't coming to mind.... )

(SAME! I mean, I can kind of see what they were trying to do with it, but it failed. There was just no chemistry between the characters at all, and, like you, I hated Korra's personality. The only thing I liked about it were the animal companions. XD
That sounds like it can go many ways. XD )
His actions didn't do much to calm her down. Anya, not believing that there was nothing she could do, slapped his hands away, eyes burning with rage. The roar of her dragon filled her ears and made her all the more determined to defend him. She couldn't simply sit by while he was being pinned to the ground. However, she hardly had time to reply when Stel plunged into the field and tackled Gael to the ground. She watched as the silver dragon easily turned the tide of the attack, putting the grey male in his place. Still, she boiled with anger. She could feel the dragons' anger, mix with Silas's fury for Seth's appearance. It swirled around her, and she couldn't make sense of any of it. Worse, she didn't have a clue where to direct the anger to. She wasn't calm by any means, but she at least didn't seem to be getting any worse. "What are you doing here?" she snapped at Seth, needing to direct her emotions somewhere. He just happened to be closest. She wasn't really through with Silas yet, but the man was too far away to continue the poor conversation, if you could call it that, from earlier.
(That's fine! And if you want to change anything about the plot, make it more interesting/appealing. Maybe a science project that needs constant monitoring and different variables to try, making them have to take notes to compare all the different outcomes? Or maybe a big research project where they have to go find a lot of sources to use? I was home schooled, so I'm not too sure what all would used for public schools. I can go do some research to help get ideas if you want.)

( The science project idea sounds great to me, since it has potential to go wrong. Especially if it's a study for biology or chemistry. I'm in public school, and these experiments are generally kept very safe but.... suspension of disbelief for roleplay can be allowed for a fun time, is my opinion. What do you think? )

Agreed, on all fronts. xD
Sshhhh... they don't know that yet... xD Seth looked from Silas to Anya, startled by her tone, and even more so by his reaction to it. He felt like a scolded child, something no one but Cresseida had been able to bring out in him since he was a kid. Unlike with Cresseida, however, Seth didn't act like a scolded child. After all, he wasn't in the wrong here. If another Rider came and saw this scene, they would probably blame Anya for the fight, since Silas was a "respected" member of the Order. And since Seth was one of the highest ranking Riders of the House, he had every right to break up their fight.
He didn't tell Anya any of that, though. It was clear she was still suffering from the onslaught of anger that seethed in the clearing, and she was probably still in possession of whatever she'd already siphoned. Heck, she may have still been siphoning. He sighed. "Hold that thought. I'll be right back."
He quickly crossed the clearing and approached Silas. He was trying very hard not to get angry, and possibly make Anya's stolen temper worse, but the closer he got to Silas, the harder it was to hold it in check. "You want Stel to let Gael up, undamaged? Leave, now. I have words to share with you, but it will not be around Anya. And you can be sure you won't be training her again - I'll make sure of it."
When Silas opened his mouth, no doubt to argue, it was Stel who cut jim off - by digging her claws deep into Gael and naking him let out a roar of pain. Silas's mouth snapped shut, and without a word, he stalked from the clearing.
Seth was sure he was going right to Genevieve, but he would have to worry about that later. Turning, he met Stel's gaze and nodded slightly. Slowly, she released her grip and stepped iff if Gael, and then she sent him fleeing to the skies with a threatening hiss.
The sight made Sety smile, but it faded as he returned to Anya, his steps slowing the closer he got to her. When he was stil a few feet away, he stopped and put his hands in his pockets. "You still want me to answer your question, or would you rather I just leave?"

(Whichever one works best for you. Who would you like to start?)
(XDXD Dear Lord, I don't want to know what Seth's going to do. XD)
Being told to wait before having her question answered didn't help Anya much. She glared after Seth, only standing still because Corrik hurried to her side. His mind fought to connect with hers, to be heard above the torrent of negative emotions filling her. It took some time, but by the time Seth successfully talked Silas ad Gael into leaving, she could feel the anger starting to fade. It wasn't a fast process, however. "What I want is for you tell me why you got involved," she told him. "I wasn't through with him!"
You shouldn't have been involved with it to begin with, Corrik told her. For once, he was glad for Seth's presence, if only because he had brought Stel with him. She had been able to hold down Gael and make him less of a threat then he could do. While he was satisfied that he drew blood, without Stel, he wouldn't have been able to do much else. That wasn't to say he had a good opinion of Seth. He was just glad to see him for once.
Anya turned on her dragon. "And what do you know? You weren't here when he returned," she all but shouted, not caring if Seth was there. She didn't care about a whole lot at the moment. "He came back, yelling at me for being an idiot, claiming that I'm not even trying when he's hardly told me a thing. He claimed I'm wasting his time when it was he who approached me first. Then had the nerve to threaten me and call me a wannabe and a worthless peasant!" At the last part of her statement, there was a momentary display of her feelings verses those that were stolen. A couple of tears ran down her cheeks when she mentioned the insult, and then it was gone as she growled, "I wasn't finished with him!"

( I wrote somewhat of a starter. I'll be asleep right after posting this, so my replies will come later. )
The bell hadn't rung yet, but the hallways had long cleared. It would sound any moment now. Lane dashed down the hallway, only slowing once he reached a few doors away from his next class. He'd calmly walk the last couple of meters before stepping inside. Some heads turned to the new arrival. Lane quickly made his way to his desk, sitting down right as the late bell began to ring. A close call, but one look at the teacher revealed that Lane wouldn't get in any trouble at all, because the teacher could not care less about this class. Just look at him, thought Lane, barely listening to the teacher's drone about some assignment. Is that the face of a man who loves his job? An amused glint showed itself in Lane's eyes.
"Alright, I have the groups listed here. Go with your partner and discuss your project."
A million years passed, and when Lane began to pay attention again, class still was not over. However, students were standing and walking around the classroom. A lab experiment today, concluded Lane. He stood up. Better find his partner.... Casey King.

(Oh boy. XD )
Anya turned her gaze back to Seth, as if annoyed he was still there. At least she seemed to be paying attention. "Siphoning his anger?" she echoed. That's right, she could do that. Her mind had been swept away in the rush of things that she had forgotten about her newfound ability. The anger she had, it wasn't hers. Not all of it anyway. "No, I don't. He just started lecturing me and I didn't want to hear it. I could tell when I found Gael's though," she told him. Now that she was aware of what she was doing, she tried to focus, tried to keep her words civil. However, it was easier said than done. Her brain seemed focused on one thing. "Why can't we just go after him now?"
Casey was never one to wait until the last minute to do anything. In fact, she was always teased about how she arrives anywhere a good hour before she was supposed to. It didn't bother her much, and she even admitted a few times that she wished she wasn't so early for things from time to time. However, when it came to school, she never spared any moment. She wasn't entirely sure why or how this habit formed, but it was here, and she was going to stick with it.
As usual, Casey was one of the first people to enter the classroom, which meant she could pick any seat in the room. Picking a spot on the second row, middle of the room, that gave her clear view of the teacher and the white board at the front of the room, she settled into her seat. There she waited. She watched as the students as they filed through the door, making their way to fill up the empty desks, followed shortly by the teacher. It also never failed that there was always at least one person who barely made it on time. Looking towards the door, the girl found that today that late comer had been no one else but Lane Saber. It didn't surprise her, really. While he never showed himself to be the kind who didn't care about his classes, he certainly didn't help himself by his lack of attention he seemed to give.
Opening her books, Casey prepared for the day's lesson, getting ready to take whatever notes were needed. She had to admit that the class wasn't the most entertaining or riveting, but that was mostly due to how the teacher presented the material to them. He gave the bare minimum, barely tried to engage the class, and called it a day. At least the homework was on the easier side. At the mention of the project, she glanced over to where the groups were written on the board. She found her name and her partners, and sighed. Lo and behold, she was paired up with Lane. Lovely. Might as well get it over with, she thought to herself. It wasn't that she didn't like the boy. It was more that she had no idea how he would work on his part of the project. She had had the unfortunate time of working with one of his friends in a different class before, and the workload had fallen to rest mostly on her shoulders. Would that be the case with him as well? Only one way to find out. Gathering her things and stood, weaving her way through students and desks until she found the boy just as he was getting up. "Seems like we'll be working together," she told him in a conversational tone.
(Eh, sorry if it's not the best.)

( If anyone should be worried about quality of writing, it's me. I'm a bit rusty. )
Lane turned towards the voice of his partner. Well, there she is. Casey already had her objects in hand, ready to be working. It left Lane feeling remarkably self-conscious of how long it had taken him to pick up his supplies and even begin to look around the classroom—but he smiled off the insecurity. He would learn to work with her.
"It seems like it," Lane replied casually. "Do you want to sit here, or should we move someplace else?"

Her attention had drifted towards the direction Silas had left, wondering how long it would take for them to catch up to the man. It was just the anger talking, she tried to remind herself. She didn't actually want to harm Silas. Yeah, she wasn't holding him in high regards at the moment, but she didn't wish to do him physical harm. As Seth talked, she didn't bother to look at him. "I was able to throw a stone at him using magic with ease," the woman admitted, remembering her first attack. It would have hit too had he been a little slower to react.
(It'll be fine. The beginning of plots are always a little rough anyways until we get things figured out. ^^ )
"Here is fine," Casey told him. They were both here anyway, so it would just be easier. "We'll just be discussing what we want to do and the work load assignments anyway. So I don't think we'll need anywhere better to talk that over." Walking around him, she sat down in a seat beside his, setting her belongings down and opened her text book in case they needed it. "So, is there anything in particular that you had in mind?"

Lane never had much interest in chemistry. However, he'd at least known that the research project was coming, so he came sufficiently prepared with ideas—or as prepared as a first-year chemistry student could be when it came to large research projects.
"A couple things, really." Lane paused here, a short pause as Casey circled around his desk and sat in the chair next to him. As she began to open her textbook, he resumed, "Remember how water turns to H and O when you run electricity through it? We could try running current through other compounds."

"Yeah. I was kind of counting on doing the experiments here," Lane replied. He had hoped these electricity experiments didn't require a lot of complicated set-up. It would be impossible to gather data at his home. The worst case scenario had him relying on Casey for the data, and he wasn't about to deal with an annoyed project partner.
( Would you mind if we skipped ahead? I don't quite know where, but nothing much seems to be happening right now. We could have them begin working, either in class or outside of class. What kinds of things do we want to happen to/between them? )

Thayer chuckled and nodded. "They get lazy if I don't go challenge them from time to time," she said. "It was an impromptu event, and even I had no warning. So I couldn't send word to you in time. Next time, I'll be sure to inform you." Free of her arm and her hawk settling back in his place, they continued down the hall, going to wherever the Queen decided. "I do believe that a group of guards are to head down into the town square today to see the progress of the markets being set up. Shall we go with them?"
(Eh, sorry that it's short.) (Its all good, sorry it took me so long to reply!) The red-haired woman smiled as Thayer spoke of keeping the men from being lazy, she knew being beaten by a woman had to hurt their pride a little bit at least for some of them. At the mention of the square being set up she lit up. "Yes! That sounds perfect, outside with the people where I belong." Anaris grinned happily, "Do you remember as kids when we used to go to market and mess with the tents, unhooking the covers and watching as they struggled to hook them back on as the winds picked up." The queen laughed softly, she missed being a kid, when they could get away with anything and no have to worry. The moment they started getting older, things started getting messy.

The temptation to take up his offer was great, but Anya couldn't bring forth the will to hit him. She could do it. At this close of a distance, she was pretty much guaranteed a hit. However, she also knew better than to believe he would actually let any kind of blow land. He probably had the magic called to open a dimensional pocket as soon as she tried to cast a spell. No, she couldn't do it. Seth hadn't done anything to deserve it, not in this moment at least. It irritated her to no end that she knew she couldn't bring herself to at least try to hit him, but her hold on her magic was slipping. The anger was fading away. For a moment longer, she scowled at the man before she seemed to deflate. Letting her gaze fall, she stumbled forward, strength and energy leaving her as quickly as her siphoning had started.
(Ooo, I like that idea. XD Or one has car troubles, and the other offers them a ride home, thus creating the most awkward car ride ever. Buuuut, if they walked home in the rain, then we could carry the scene out longer to have one invite the other inside to dry off/wait for the rain to stop so the other can go home. I think I'd much prefer that one.)
(All is fine. ^^ )
"As plan as day," Thayer responded with a laugh. "There are still merchants who refuse to have me within ten feet of their stalls or tents. I don't know whether to feel insulted or honored." Really, that was the least she deserved for the mayhem she helped create. Had it been anyone else, they wouldn't have gotten off so easily. However, noble blood, even that of a lesser noble, and friendship status with the then princess helped smooth things out for her. Now, she would admit that maybe she would have been better off to be punished properly for her pranks. Perhaps things would have turned out differently. It was because of that she didn't dwell on the topic too long. She liked how things had turned out, and she wouldn't have changed it for anything. "I wonder how much we could accomplish now?" she mused jokingly. They would never be able to pull those pranks now, not without serious consequences. "I do believe we could create total chaos if we so wished. We might also get the market shut down for a long while."

(I can write it since you started the last time. ^^ )
The day rolled on, and nothing of much interest happened. It was all around a normal day. When the final bell rung, signalling the end of classes, she gathered her stuff and went to her locker. There was a good amount of homework that needed to be done, so she collected all the books she would need and placed them into her messenger bag hooked over her shoulder. Once everything was in, she headed towards the door. Her mind was already working out a strategy to knock out the homework in the fastest way possible, leaving her some free time before the day ended. If she didn't procrastinate and got to work right away, she would be done in plenty of time. Maybe she could head out to the new store that opened up last week before they closed. A lot of people were talking about it, and she wanted to see for herself what all it held. She could easily be there and back before dinner. Or maybe she could -
Her thought process was put on hold as she walked out of the front doors. The sight that awaited her was one of pouring rain. When did this happen? It had been sunny and bright not but a few hours ago. She didn't even remember hearing that it was supposed to rain today. Now what? She had rode with a friend this morning, but that friend had other plans once school was over. Casey had told her not to worry, that he could easily walk home. That had been back when she was expecting clear skies and warmish weather. It was a twenty minute walk to her house, in which she would be thoroughly soaked, even if she were to run.

Seth was only a little surprised when the magic suddenly left her. He caught her before she could fall, and was surprised by the other emotion he was feeling: disappointment. Without the magic distracting and driving her, there was nothing to keep her from remembering why she hated him now. Which meant their moment of normalcy (normal for them, anyway) was almost over. Not wanting to see her pull away again, he made sure she was steady enough on her feet before dropping his hands and stepping back.
Stel, who had spent the last several minutes looking over Corrik's wound and congratulating him on drawing blood from Gael, something no other dragon had dared do, let alone tried and succeeded at, slipped away from him and came to stand ready behind Seth. He'd been doing a much better job hiding it the past two weeks, but Stel knew he was still torn up over what he'd done to Nick. She doubted that would ever change. It was also clear to her that he missed the closeness he'd shared with Anya, even if it was brief. But both knew she wasn't ready to hear an explanation, so the distance would remain.

Anya said nothing as Seth helped to steady her. Honestly, she was glad he did. If he hadn't, she had a good idea that she would have landed face first on the ground. A moment passed before she was able to stand on her own. She was still tired and drained, but she would be fine for the moment. With her head clear and finally able to think properly once more, she paled. "H-how bad was it?" she asked, meaning her behavior. Like before, the details were hazy, but there were some points of the exchange that stuck out in her mind. From those memories alone, she knew she wouldn't like the answer he would give.
Corrik also joined his Rider's side. While outwards he was displaying his normal concern, on the inside, he was beaming a bit from Stel's attention and praise. He hadn't stood a chance with Gael, he knew that, so to hear that he had achieved something no other dragon had been able to do, especially with his lack of experience in fighting. He might have been losing, but at least he had achieved something. Now, he tried to give Anya what comfort he could. Lowering his head, he gently nudged her, as if to draw her attention away from the topic he knew would only upset her to discuss.
