Tori wished she could simply shove her hands into her pockets of her jeans as they walked, but then she would have no way of communicating. It was okay, she signed. I feel like it wasn't really an official day since all we did was go over classroom rules and syllabuses.
~*
"I don't want to go back on my own," Celia replied. Did she feel the same way for him? She was fond of the boy, that much was apparent. He was good friend, always doing what he needed to do, careful to be sure nothing he did would disturb her or her life, and was pleasant company. The girl did seek him out on days her nightmares became too much to handle, and she just needed his presence to assure her that everything was fine. Of course, he never knew that was what she was doing. Was that the same as having feelings for him? Was that why she had stepped foot on Earth once more to find him and bring him back home? She wasn't entirely sure, so she simply reinforced that she didn't want to lose him.
~*
Phallon looked to Rico, not that there was much he could do. They would have to follow them no matter what. Still, she waited until the boy started forward before doing the same.
~*
Celia shrugged again. "They really couldn't stop me," she told him. "There was eleven of us kids, so they had a lot to keep track of. So what if one slipped away for a couple of hours or a day? Maybe two?" It wasn't like she ran away from home or went half way across the kingdom. She always stay a reasonable distance from the house or town. Her parents weren't thrilled, but they really just had to accept that this was the behavior of their daughter. So long as she was safe and returned home, everything was fine. Maverick shrugged, but nodded. “Yeah I guess that's right. Well, I'm just glad that we share at least most of our classes,” he said, smiling at Tori. He meant it too. Of all, at least most of their classes were spent together, and that really helped. .-=-.-=-. Lachy looked away, slowly blinking. That wasn't what he expected her to say. At least, it wasn't what he wanted her to say, but that was kind of to be expected. “You've got Sam with you as company,” he pointed out quietly. He then sighed and looked down. There probably wasn't any point in trying to get her to tell him what he wanted to hear. It was likely enough that she didn't even share his feelings, she just didn't want to be alone. Slowly he nodded after. “I'll come back home with you Celia…” he said, looking her back in the eyes again for just a moment. .-=-.-=-. Rico really just went first because he didn't want Phallon to be leading the pair where she didn't know. He just wanted to try and get her to feel as safe as he could, despite knowing that they weren't even safe at all, and Phallon knew that. So, he simply followed where the Cards led them with Phallon. .-=-.-=-. Lachy laughed slightly, before nodding and tilting his head. “Yes I suppose with eleven kids, it would be hard to control all of them.” Well in hindsight, it wouldn't just be hard, likely it would be nigh impossible to control eleven kids in total. “Was there any a time when you came back and you weren't quite okay?” She then asked, raising his eyebrow slightly at her.

(haha, yeah, I forgot about it myself until I trying to figure out what to do with Russ. XD )
It was funny that Dani took to her grandfather more since they didn't get to see him as often as they did Ruth, but Timothy wasn't complaining. He loved the little girl, and Russel as well of course. The older man laughed. "That I can believe," he said.
As with walking, Russel was a little behind in using his words, but that wasn't much of a concern. It was common for twins to have one be a late talker. Like walking, when one had a sibling who could interpret for them, why bother talking? His parents were encouraging him to talk more, but Russ was just a quite child by nature anyway. He just stayed seated contently in his grandmother's arms, enjoying being cuddled.
Ruth nodded. "I should hope so. After all, you're not carrying twins this time around. Or, I assume. Have you not let the doctor tell you what you're having yet?" she asked.
Yeah, that was the one factor that made this whole experience bearable in her opinion. Had she been left to face the classes alone, Tori truly believed she wouldn't have even come here to begin with. Having Mav to support and motivate her would be the only thing getting her through the semester. For now, at least. It'll be different when we focus on the classes for our majors.
~*
The fact that she hadn't moved from under his touch still should have been some testament to how much she trusted the boy, if nothing else. Celia could tell his disappointment in her answer, but the young woman just wasn't in a good state to be contemplating this at the moment. She was much to scared for their lives to think of much else. At least he agreed to go back home with her. Relief caused some of the tension to leave her body, but not all of it. She nodded and finished checking his bandages. "Are you hungry? Thirsty?" she asked, hoping to move the conversation away from where it had found itself.
~*
Phallon stayed directly behind Rico as they walked. She assumed that they would be going back to the throne room. However, she was proven wrong when they were lead down unfamiliar hallways. Unknown to her, they were actually heading out to the gardens. "Um, where are we going?" she whispered to the boy, hoping he would have an idea what was going on.
~*
As he asked this question, they approached their destination. The pair found themselves on a portion of the stream covered in rocks and boulders. A few feet away up stream were a pile of the boulders that she liked to climb up on and sit to enjoy the sunshine. The further you went downstream, the banks turned from rocks to gravel and then to sand. "I mean, I've come home scraped up from a fall or with a sprained ankle before," Celia replied. "Only once did someone have to come searching for me, and it wasn't even my fault."

(Baby websites are hard to understand XD but I’m trying my best)
When Timothy laughed, Dani grinned and put her hand to his lips. “Papa,” she said again, before putting her arms around her grandfather’s neck in a small hug. It was the same with her parents. Dani preferred Riley’s father over her mother. Riley wasn’t sure why she seemed to prefer all the men, but she didn’t mind. At least her daughter loved her grandparents.
Dani was the leader of the twins, taking care of her brother so he didn’t have to talk or walk if he didn’t want to. She was also the more adventurous and pushy of the two and did whatever she could to get her way. She was definitely a handful, but the parents were managing her well.
Riley shook her head. “Probably would have been a good idea, but I decided to try something different this time. We did pick some names though. Colton for a boy, or Jessica for a girl,” she said, looking over at Mason. It had also been decided that if they got a Colton instead of a Jess, he would be nicknamed Coconut in honor of the vacation.

As he asked this question, they approached their destination. The pair found themselves on a portion of the stream covered in rocks and boulders. The further you went downstream, the banks turned from rocks to gravel and then to sand. "I mean, I've come home scraped up from a fall or with a sprained ankle before," Celia replied. "Only once did someone have to come searching for me, and it wasn't even my fault." OOC:Text Maverick honestly kinda knew that Tori would have a lot more trouble with school if they were in different classes all the time. Of course, he would hate that as well no doubt about that, but he was pretty sure that unfortunately Tori would feel the effects much worse than him. “True, but I'm pretty sure we'll still have plenty of time for each other,” he said, gently nudging the girl and offering her a smile.
.-=-.-=-.
Lach of course did notice that she hadn't ducked away from his hand, and that when he told her he'd be coming back, she seemed to relax, just a little. He did take that as a good thing of course, but he has to admit, it just wasn't quite the same as hearing her actually say the words. Though it was what he was going to have to work with, and honestly part of him knew that she wouldn't really be able to tell him how she felt. At her question, he looked down and shrugged. “I'm not hungry… A little thirsty though?” he asked, glancing up at Celia as he asked the question.
.-=-.-=-.
Rico looked around as they walked, trying to remember the halls sohe could tell where they were going. At Phallon’s question, he turned to her for a moment. “We’re going t-to the gardens,” he told her quietly. He was already guessing what the Queen was doing. She was going to try and make Phallon feel comfortable so that she can try and make her more likely to talk to her. Of course, he might have been wrong, but that was at least what he expected she would be doing.
.-=-.-=-.
Lachy looked around the area, a smile forming on his face. He knew that there were just some pretty little places in jungles and forests, he even saw them sometimes on walked, but he didn’t quite expect this honestly. Of course it wasn’t exactly breathtakingly beautiful, but it was just relaxing, serene. “Wow,” was what he had to say. Then he looked to Ceali and tilted his head. “Ah that makes sense...What do you mean? I mean, that it wasn’t your fault?”

(Haha, it's fine. Luckily I have textbooks that are a little better to understand.)
She was just a Daddy's girl, something that made Mason giddy. After all, he had wanted a girl that he could spoil. It just so happens they got a son as well, which was even better. Timothy smiled and hugged Dani close. "You're too cute," he said with a chuckle.
They were actually lucky that they had one twin on each extreme. That meant they only had one kid to worry about and chase around. Although, there had been a few times where they misplaced Russel due to him being so silent, but they always found him again. So all was well, they hoped.
Ruth laughed softly. "Both names are good. Are you hoping for one over the other?" she asked.
Tori smiled slightly as he nudged her. That's what matter. They would be attending classes together for the time being. There was still plenty of time to figure out if things would be fine for her or not. I wish I had your optimism, she commented.
~*
Glad for the chance to switch topics, Celia nodded. She reached for her bag and dragged it closer to her before digging around for her canteen. Opening it, she offered it to Lach. "Here, I have plenty. We should be back home before we need more." Of course, she was hoping that Lach would be able to be up and about within two days. Not completely healed, but mobile at least. The water should last them that long. Plus, Lach himself might have some in his own bag if they needed more.
~*
"The gardens?" Phallon asked. "Is that normal?" She would have thought that they would be taken to the throne room or a study or some place secure. Why the gardens?
~*
Celia wandered over to the boulders, trying to figure out how she was going to climb it with only one good arm. There had to be a way to do it. "Meaning, it wasn't anything that I did to cause my situation," she answered. "I had crossed the river that runs just south of our town. A deep thing with rapids you don't want to get stuck in. There was an old bridge constructed to help travelers cross before they built the ferry. I crossed the bridge and was planning to be back around nightfall. Well, it rained, horribly. The river flooded and washed the bridge out. I was trapped on the other side until it subsided enough to ferry my way back to the other side."

(Yes i need to borrow your books)
When her grandfather hugged her back, Dani laughed loudly and then looked at her father. “Daddy come,” she said, reaching out and making grabbing motions towards him. She just wanted her dad to be closer. She always wanted to be close to Mason.
The twins were a good pair. They balanced each other out. Dani was loud and outgoing and Russel was quieter and calmer. She helped him out and his simple presence seemed to calm her. Plus, there was one kid for each parent and Riley couldn’t deny that she loved the bond she had with Russ, just like Mason and Dani’s bond.
Riley shrugged. “Well, Mason already has the little daddy’s girl he wanted, so I guess we’ll just see what this one turns out to be.”

"Because eventually that luck's going to run out?" Anya offered. That and she had been more scared than she would have like to admit. "And I have no intentions of testing out whether or not it extends to me. I'll leave that to you.
( Sorry for the long absence. Christmastime is busy. ^^
Seth snickered. “My luck will only run out when I start believing it will. And it will always extend to you, cause I'm awesome that way.” He winked, then ducked beneath the surface and dove down a ways. He resurfaced a few seconds later, a couple feet beyond where he'd been a moment ago. “How long can you hold your breath?” he asked.

(Haha, they're all yours. XD)
"What, Dani?" Mason asked, stepping over to her. "You don't need me. You're already being held."
Yep, they were a good pair to have. Mason just hoped that they would stay that way. He never mentioned to Riley about his fear of something happening to one of them. It was a fear that had been instilled into him by his own brother's death. No, he shouldn't be worrying of such things, especially about his young children, but he couldn't help it. So long as he was able, he was going to make sure these two had each other for as long as possible.
"That he does," Ruth commented, smiling as she glanced over where her son was standing by Timothy. "My bet is on a boy."
(It's fine. I completely understand. It's the same for me. ^^ )
Anya laughed at his answer. It was such an answer true to his character that she could only be amused. "Not long. Our river was not a great place to practice diving," she told him. It was better to demonstrate, so she took in a deep breath before diving beneath the water. Without knowing just how deep the pool was, she didn't dare go too deep. Instead, the girl just focused on distance. When she resurfaced, she was just beyond where Seth was.

(Plus they sound more exciting than most of my textbooks)
Dani relaxed again with her father close. She didn’t reach out to be held by him. She was perfectly happy in Timothy’s arms, but she just wanted her father close. She looked over at her mother, grandmother, and brother, but seemed content where she was.
The idea of losing only one of the twins, had crossed Riley’s mind. It just wasn’t something she worried about quite as much as Mason. Sure, she’d suffered then Russel died, but she didn’t lose her other half like Mason had. She didn’t see the effect it had had on her husband to lose his twin.
When Ruth said a boy, Riley chuckled. “I just hope Dani gets at least one more sister. I mean, I don’t want as many kids as my parents had, but having Kate was a lifesaver with so many boys in the house. So I’m hoping for at least one more girl.” Four was a good number. She wanted to see what Mason thought, but she was thinking that one more kid after Colton/Jessica would be a good idea.

(I wouldn't call them exciting, but they are thorough. I've learned a lot from them.)
"Well, go on, sit down. We don't have to stand here all day," Mason told his father, motioning to the couch and chairs in the living room. "Lunch is just about done, but go on and get comfortable."
And that's why Mason hadn't voiced the worry. It wasn't that he thought Riley wouldn't understand, but why make her worry about something so horrible? So he kept them to himself and prayed that it would never happen.
"Yeah, another girl would be nice. Then again, this is coming from a mother who had only boys. I may be basis, but I would hope you have another girl before you both get sick of raising them," Ruth said. She might had been hoping for a girl as well during her pregnancy, but she got Russ and Mason instead. Not that she had been disappointed, but a girl would have been nice too.

(I imagine you’d learn a lot. I don’t actually read textbooks...)
Dani didn’t seem to mind that her grandpa was just standing in the middle of the living room. She was just happy to be in his arms.
The thought had crossed Riley’s mind once or twice, but it wasn’t a huge worry of hers. She hadn’t been affected in the same way Mason had at the loss of his twin. Of course, she didn’t want her own babies to go through that, but it wasn’t a persistent thought in her mind.
Riley chuckled. “Plus I know how chaotic a big house of boys can be.” Ruth had only had two sons. One after the divorce. Riley has grown up with five boys around st all times. “But we’ll see what happens when it happens.”

(Neither do I. XD The only time I read the chapters is when I'm taking a test on them. I'm horrible, I know, but it's been working.)
Of course, Dani didn't mind. She wasn't the one standing. Timothy didn't mind either, but he decided that sitting would be better while they waited. So while Mason went to check on the food, he sat down on the couch next to Ruth.
"Girls have to be less maintenance than boys for sure," Ruth said.
"Hey! Now I was a perfect angel," Mason called from the kitchen.
"You seem to have a different definition of angel than I do," Timothy countered.

When he sat down, Dani found herself closer to her grandmother and brother. She laughed and reached out for them, but didn’t want to leave her grandfather’s arms. “Russ,” she said, looking at her brother. She pointed at him and then looked at her grandfather, as if telling her who Russ was.
Riley chuckled. “Sweetie, I love you, but you aren’t even an angel as an adult. I’m sure Baby Mason was even worse,” she teased, again twisty a bit awkwardly to look over at her husband

Dallas looked from the shirt to her giving a nervous chuckle. "That would be great, actually. I just didn't want you to get your hands messy," he told her.
~*
It made sense. Charles nodded and followed her into the stables. Reaching the empty stall, he made sure Crow was bedded down, free of saddle and bridle, and feed and watered. "There, now we can go get your pain," he told her with a small smile.
(It's fine! And I believe it was Athena or something like that.) All Alexa could do was shrug. "Well, my hands getting messy is not as big of a problem you are currently in. You need my help more than I need to keep my hands clean." She then held out her hands, "okay, now give me the shirt and I'll help." --- Amelia grinned back when he finished talking and putting Crow away. "Okay! Then let's go!" She turned away after giving Athena one last pat and started walking in the direction of the paint knowing Casper would be right behind her. (Okay! Thank you!) (Oh, and I'm not quite sure if I want them to actually get to the paint or not. I keep thinking about it. Should they actually get to buying the paint or should all the drama happen before? Or afterward?)

Maverick saw the smile on Tori's face out of the side of his gaze, and it made himself smile a little too. Then he shrugged. “Lucky I have enough to make up for both of us,” he said happily, moving closer and putting one of his arms around her back, letting it rest on her waist. He would have taken her hand, but she kinda needed it to make speaking easier between them. “I get it, but I think you'll settle in Tori.” .-=-.-=-. Lach gratefully took the canteen, taking a large drink out out it. “Thank you Celia. I… IhI ve some in my bag too if we need it,” he told her, glancing at her face for a moment, before looking away again. Honestly Lach could probably get himself up and moving by tomorrow or so. He wouldn't likely be ready to move, but it would probably have been long enough for him to get himself up. Whether Celia let him though was another story. “I uh… I also have some food in my bag if you need it.” Lach knew she likely did, but he thought to mention it anyway, if only to keep the air from falling into silence. .-=-.-=-. Rico did a sort of mix between shaking his head and nodding it. “It's not a-a rare occasion. I think she is going to try and make you feel comfortable, so she can get more out of you,” he said quietly. It was only a thought that she might, but Rico figured he should at least share his thoughts with Phallon. .-=-.-=-. Lachy looked over at Celia, seeing by the way she looked at the rocks that she was trying to figure out how to climb them. He opened his mouth to say something, but she beat him to it, making him give her a look. He knew what it meant for something not to be her fault, and he wanted to say it, but he just let it go. She was probably just teasing, hopefully. “Oh man, how old were you then? I don't know about you, but I probably would have freaked out. I wouldn't even know where to find food, let along sleeping somehow in the rain or anything else,” he said, frowning slightly. He would have been positively shook, though he had a feeling Celia wasn't quite. Lach sighed, walking toward the girl and holding his hands up. “Would you like me to help? Or maybe…save the rock climbing for later?”

(XD So long as your grades are good, it must be working. XD)
Timothy chuckled. "That is Russ," he said. "What's your name, hm? Do you know who you are?"
At the sound of his name, Russ turned to look at his sister. "Dani!" He replied, not knowing he answered Timothy's question for her.
"And who said that I'm trying to be an angel now?" Mason asked. "But as a child, I was the best."
"I have videos that prove otherwise," Timothy replied.
Dallas had to nod in acknowledgement. "Fair enough," he said, stepping over so she could reach the make-shift bandage. "Pull it as tight as you can. Don't worry about if it hurts. I'd rather be in pain then bleeding."
~*
Charles laughed lightly and followed her out of the stables. Her enthusiasm was contagious, enough so that he could put aside his worry and dread for a time being. If this was they last day he would get to spend with Amelia, then he didn't want it to be shadowed by what was to come.
(If you want, we can skip over the paint buying and pick back up to whenever they're done/doing something else.)
Tori had to laugh at his reply. That he did. How he could have that much optimism was beyond her, but he found a way. I hope so, she signed. She really did want to try to make this work. She didn't want to ruin this experience for him. It was just hard for her to shake off the worry.
~*
Celia nodded and waited as he drank his fill. The news that he had food in his bag didn't surprise her. Margrett wouldn't have let him leave her house without some. She would have packed some for Celia too had the girl told her she was going after him. "Is there anything else you need?" she asked.
~*
Phallon was about to ask more, but at that moment, they ere brought to a pair of doors that opened before them, letting the bright light from outside spill in. There was no pause in stride as they left the castle and entered into the Queen's Garden. All around them were flowers full in bloom, everything perfectly kept. Pathways wound in and out in various directions, getting lost in the flowerbeds. Phallon took all of this in as best as she could while the Cards led them deeper into the garden.
~*
(He would have been possessively shook. XD That is the best use of that term I've ever heard.)
"Thirteen," Celia answered, stopping by the boulders and staring up at them. "And it wasn't that by. There are plenty of places to hide from the rain, and I packed some food before I left because I knew I was going to be one all day. It wasn't that bad of an experience." At his offer, she moved her gaze to his outstretched hands. A moment passed before she replied. "Get up there and pull me up. I think that'd be the easiest," she told him.

(I’ve got all but one of my grades finalized for this semester and they’re all As)
Dani has been about to answer her grandfather’s question when her brother beat her to it. “Dani!” she repeated, looking up at him. “Daddy.” She pointed at Mason. “Mommy.” She pointed at Riley. “Nanny.” She pointed at Ruth. “Papa.” That’s when she looked back at Timothy, clearing proud at naming everyone in the room.
Riley looked over at Timothy. “I want to see those videos next time you visit. Or we visit you,” she said before looking towards Mason and directing her next comment at him. “You’ve seen everything about me.” Especially early on in their relationship, her siblings had found it fun to show Mason every picture and video they could find of their sister.

Maverick of course understood Tori's worry. Even when he was considering the idea of coming to University, the first thing he thought about was how Tori would react to that. She didn't have a good past with school, having only been bullied. It worried him as well coming here, but he supposed that it seemed to be okay so far, and he roommate was nice it seemed. “I'm certain,” Mav said finally, leaning down to whisper it quietly in her ear. “But for now, let's get some Mexican, and just enjoy each other's company.” .-=-.-=-. Lachy looked up, his gaze focusing on Celia’s face. She was a little messy from everything, yet that was honestly just how he loved her. She was always herself. A little blunt, a little dense, but she was totally herself. Unique. Lach, after a few moments, looked down, blushing slightly when he realised that she had asked him a question. “Uh… no thank you Celia. I should be good now,” Lach said after clearing his throat. Celia didn't tell him how she felt, he had to remember that. Of course, she seemed to at least trust in him, and care for him, judging by her behaviour, and the fact that she came for him, but she didn't actually say it. Lach may just be assuming things for all he knew. She might only see him and a close friend. .-=-.-=-. Rico wanted to hesitate as the bright light hit him in the face, but unfortunately he was unable to thanks to the Cards behind them. So, blinking a few times, the boy walked out the door into the gardens. He couldn't lie, the gardens probably had to be the most beautiful place in the castle, thanks to how well kept it was. As they continued, Rico looked sideways at Phallon. He would be lying if he said he wasn't worried somewhat. .-=-.-=-. (Lol thank you, I don't get to use that term often. XD) Lachy couldn't help but laugh a little. “You are a special kind of person Celia. Thirteen years old, cut off from home thanks to heavy rain and flooding, and it wasn't that bad an experience,” he said in amusement. “You really must be born an explorer.” It was just a shame she didn't get the chance to explore another world. When Celia told him to pull her up, Lach couldn't help but raise his eyebrows in surprise. When he made the offer, he didn't actually expect her to accept his help. Nodding, the boy jumped up quickly onto the rocks. He may not be used to the jungle or anything, but he was a pretty agile person. He then knelt down and offered Celia a hand. “Tell me when to pull.”

(See, it's working. XD)
Timothy laughed at the timing of Russ's answer and then Dani's. "Okay then, you're very smart," he told her. "I would love to know if you can name all of your mother's siblings." That would be impressive.
"I will have them ready for the occasion," Timothy promised.
"Enough with that," Mason declared from the kitchen. "Lunch is ready. Whoever isn't busy questioning my well mannered childhood can come and join me if they wish."
Not to mention the current of the river hadn't been the best to want to dive in. It wasn't horrible, but if you weren't careful, you'd easily get washed downstream a good ways before you knew it. Anya turned towards him when he spoke. "How long can you hold your breath?" she asked, suspecting it was a good deal longer. After all, hadn't he hinted to exploring the caves the pond held?
No need to tell her twice. Tori nodded and glanced around them as they walked. She had a feeling they would be walking these streets a lot, so the sooner she could memorize them, the better. How far away is it again?
~*
"Okay then. Get some rest," Celia instructed. "That's going to be the best thing. If you're hurting too much, I'll mix up something that'll ease it and help you sleep. I've helped Toadsworth enough to know how to do it properly. Just let me know if you need it."
~*
After a minute or two of walking, they two of them were led to a more secluded portion of the garden. Walking under a white archway covered in red roses, they found themselves in a large circular section surrounded by hedge bushes. In the middle of the area was a small table and four chairs. The Queen sat at one side, a tea set and an array of pastries on the table before her. "Ah, so you're finally here," she greeted.
~*
(It was perfect XD)
"You say that like it's something you've never heard of before," Celia mused. While he himself might not have grown up with the same mindset or experiences she had, surely there was someone he knew that was as stir crazy as she. It couldn't be that unheard of. Besides, the incident hadn't even been that big of a deal. She had no idea why her family acted so panicked about it as well. She watched as he climbed onto the boulder. "I don't need you to pull me up. Just brace me so I can walk up," she told him. Then, for the first time willingly, she reached up to take hold of his hand.

(My mom hates my method of ‘studying’ but clearly it’s working)
Dani could not name all of her mother’s siblings, at least not by memory. However, there was one she definitely remembered. “Finny!” She said. Uncle Finn had become popular with the twins, despite his awkwardness with children. Apparently that didn’t apply to nieces and nephews.
Riley grinned. “Oh, I am so ready to see them,” she said. Trusting Mason’s parents to handle the twins, Riley carefully got to her feet and headed into the kitchen. “You know we love you,” she said, kissing his cheek and moving to grab the plates for everyone.

Maverick blinked, looking around at her question. He saw it earlier, surely it must be near. Turning around, Mav saw that it was actually just behind them. “Oh uh, we just passed it,” he said with a laugh, looking down at Tori for a moment. Then he turned them around and started inside. “I blame you for distracting me with your looks,” he said playfully, winking at her. .-=-.-=-. Lachy nodded and sat back, looking down at his lap for a moment. Slowly he shook his head. “No no. I don't think it hurts enough for you to go out of the way to do that,” he said softly. Did it hurt? Absolutely, but he could bear it. No doubt he'd probably been through worse pain in the past. Lach raised his gaze, looking Celia in the face again, and he offered a smile. “Thank you Celia. I…I honestly didn't think I was going to see you again,” he said softly. .-=-.-=-. Rico gulped quietly upon seeing what the Queen had set up. His assumption was right, and now he wished that he had reminded Phallon not to tell the Queen anything, knowing that she will find a way to use anything against her later. He reminded himself that he wouldn't need to though likely. Phallon was smart. Rico had to wonder though if anyone was to be joining them, what with the four chairs set up, and only three people being here. Rico didn't respond to the Queen, only looking down at the floor. Also to avoid looking at the food. He and Phallon hadn't eaten for who knows how long, but he also didn't want to find himself eating anything that the Queen had set up for them. .-=-.-=-. (Lol thank you. XD) Lachy laughed somewhat, but nodded. “Well I've honestly never met anyone like you Celia. The closest person I knew was my sister, and she was adventurous, but still not like you,” he said, looking down for a moment at the mention of his sister. He then shook his head, moving on. “Adventures are hard to find on Earth nowadays.” As Celia spoke last, Lach nodded to show he understood what she was saying. Of course, the moment wasn't lost on the boy when she willingly grabbed his hand, and he couldn't help but smile, even if if was just to help her up. “Oh okay than. I'll make sure you don't fall,” he said with a chuckle.

(Hey, if it works, it works. xD)
"Well, there's one," Timothy said with a laugh. At Mason's call, he set Dani down on the floor. "Why don't we go see if daddy needs any help."
Ruth, putting Russ on one hip, stood and helped Riley stand as best as she could. She knew from experience of the pains of getting out of chairs at this stage of pregnancy. It wasn't fun.
Tori gave a small laugh at the news they had passed the restaurant. Then playfully shoved him at his excuse as to why. Please, you were staring at my hands, not my face, she replied. She had come to learn that she couldn't argue when Mav complemented her. So she just learned how to joke about it so she wouldn't feel as awkward receiving them.
~*
"If that changes, let me know. You have everything needed in your bag," Celia told him. She put away the canteen before looking back at the boy when he spoke once more. "Next time you'll be smart and not leave Underland altogether," she told him. It wasn't meant to be a lecture, but maybe now Lach understood that Earth wasn't a good place to be. After all, he did leave to live with her with little convincing on her part.
~*
Of course, Phallon was going to be careful in what she said to the Queen. The only thing was that she didn't know what would be safe information and what could be dangerous to them. However, unlike Rico, she didn't make an attempt to not see the food laid out. She was a bit wary about what the food might do, but her stomach didn't seem to have that same caution.
"Please, sit down," the Queen told them, motioning to the chairs before the and, at the same time, dismissing the cards that brought them here. She wouldn't be needing their assistance.
~*
"You don't find adventures. You stumble upon them and hope for the best," Celia informed him. While she did actively go out and about exploring, she wasn't out for any specific reason. She was bored and wanted to go places. She might plan where she was going, but not what would happen when she got there. "You better," the girl muttered. Taking a moment to brace herself, Celia placed one foot on the side of the boulder. It wouldn't be too hard, and she suspected Lach would still try and pull her up a bit. So without thinking much about it, she scrambled up the side of the rock, hauling herself up.

Dani grinned when she was back on the floor and walked to where her father was standing. “I help,” she said, looking up at him expectantly. She looked back towards Timothy. “Papa help,” she said, offering up his assistance as well.
Riley thanked Ruth and let the other woman help her to her feet. Once she was steady, she slowly headed into the kitchen, careful of where and how she walked. “So, what did you make us?” she asked Mason, pulling her chair out and sitting down carefully.

(I'm sure you did. ^^ Merry Christmas!!! I hope you had a great day today.)
Mason was just setting the last of the dishes onto the table when Dani came hurrying into the kitchen to help. "You did?" he asked. "Well then, can you take these," he handed her the small stack of napkins, "to the table for me?"
When Riley entered and took her seat, he smiled. "I have prepared a lemon pepper chicken for us, and chicken nuggets for the twins," he replied. "And, of course, some side dishes."

(I hope so. I had a B at midterms but this teacher doesn’t like post our graces online so I have no idea how I’m doing I did! I hope you did too)
Dani grinned when her father gave her a very important job. She held the napkins carefully in two hands and walked back to the table. She reached up and put them on the edge of the table before climbing onto a chair to push them further. She smiled at Mason, her feet swinging high above the floor.
Riley grinned. “That sounds and smells delicious,” she said. She looked over at the twins. First Dani, then Russel. “But I might also have to steal a chicken nugget or two,” she warned her husband. Frozen chicken nuggets were practically always in the house and they tasted better than Riley expected.

So without thinking much about it, she scrambled up the side of the rock, hauling herself up. (I'm sorry I'm late, but merry Christmas!!) Maverick laughed as she shoved him. He then shrugged. “What can I say, you have beautiful hands,” he said in matter of fact tone, though afterwards he laughed again. He had noticed that Tori didn't really argue when he complimented her. At least certainly not it as much as she used to, but he mostly took that as meaning that she had good self esteem. Leading her into the small shop, Mav looked over the menu slowly, blinking as he thought. “Is there anything that you're liking the look of?” He asked, turning to look at Tori. .-=-.-=-. “Thanks to Margrett and Toadsworth of course for all that. But thank you. I'll let you know.” Then the boy looked down from Celia, sighing at her words. “Yeah maybe so… It's just well… When I left, I was pretty certain that anything we had was gone. It… It got lonely you know, you didn't really come to see me much,” the boy said quietly. He figured that Celia wasn't being totally serious in her comment, but he just felt he wanted to say that. It wasn't the fight alone that made him want to leave Underland, it was something that had been building up over time, and he kinda wanted Celia to know that.that it wasn't a completely out of the blue decision. That was assuming she didn't already know that though. .-=-.-=-. Rico stayed still and silent until the Queen spoke up, ordering them to have a seat at the table. Then, reluctantly, he glanced at Phallon and nodded, making his way over to the table and slowly taking a seat. Part of him was glad that the Cards were gone, but part of him also felt that it was less safe now that it was just them and the Queen. Besides, he knew the Cards weren't far away, they would just be around the corner so they can appear when the Queen called for them. Sitting down, Rico looked at the food in front of them, and his stomach growled at him. .-=-.-=-. Lachy couldn't help but smile at her words, and a chuckle escaped his lips. “Huh, you mean a bit like this? Meeting you. Coming here. That sounds like an adventure to me,” he asked, looking down at her. He would be lying if he said that he never went looking for adventures on Earth. That was always his dream, for something “magical” to happen to him. Of course as the feeling died down. It was always there, but he knew it was impossible. Well he thought he knew, until this happened. Then at her words he let out a huff of amusement. He'd helped her this far, he certainly wouldn't drop. Her now. Suddenly, as she hauled herself up, she was right in thinking that Lach would pull a little to try and help. When she was up he chuckled, squeezing her hand for a moment. “There we go, easy peasy.”

(Maybe you'll get them soon. Yeah, it was great. I'll also let you know know that I'll be going on a trip soon and might not be able to get on much. I'll be gone four or five days, and I don't know if I'll be bringing my computer with me. So if I suddenly disappear, that's why.)
Mason smiled as she walked to the table. He followed her and made sure that she didn't fall as she climbed into the chair. "Thank you, Dani," he told her, kissing her head. "Now, do you want to get into your chair so you can eat?" Both of the twins had their own highchairs. It was the same ones used when they were babies, but Mason and Riley had removed the trays on them so the kids could eat at the table with them. The chairs were a little bit taller than the table, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
Chuckling, Mason looked to his wife. "It's a good thing I cooked extra then," he responded. He, too, enjoyed a chicken nugget every now and then. They were a food source he forgotten he liked whenever he stopped having them as a child.
(Haha, it's fine. Merry Christmas! ^^ )
Good self esteem had been something that had been improving over the past two years as well. Tori was far from being confident in herself, but she didn't constantly beat herself down like she used to. Upon taking their seats and scanning through the menus, she nodded in response to his question. The nachos look good, she signed.
~*
Her gaze fell from his at his words. No, Celia didn't see him often, but it wasn't her fault. She had warned the boy not to expect her to do a lot of things with him. He knew what he was getting into. Yet in the moment she couldn't help but let it add to the guilt of making him leave. "I'm sorry," she murmured, something that she normally never said. "I keep forgetting that you need more socializing than I do." After all, she saw no problem with solitude. Lach was the one who couldn't stay alone for long, which was probably more normal than her preferences.
~*
Phallon took a seat as well, but followed Rico's lead in not reaching for anything.
The Queen noticed the wariness of the two and had to smile. "Oh, there's really no reason to be so tensed," she said. "If you're upset by being in the dungeon, that was a temporary arrangement. I needed time to have rooms prepared. There is really no reason to look like you're about to meet Death in person. This is merely a casual visit."
~*
"If you want to view it that way, then sure. I guess to you this would be an adventure," Celia conceded. From the sound of things, the boy hardly knew what adventures were on Earth, so perhaps this was the first one he's ever been on. If so, who was she to deem what was and wasn't so to him? Once on top of the rock, the girl took a moment for the soreness that flared to die down. Okay, so maybe she hadn't been completely ready to be hauled up like that, but it was a learning experience. She didn't really know what to do from here, so she simply freed her hand from his as she looked about them. "Much better," she muttered, walking over to the other side that overlooked the river.

(Oooh have fun!)
Dani frowned when her dad asked her to go get in her own chair. “Big kid,” she said, crossing her arms.
Riley looked over at Mason. Dani was starting to enter a bit of a rebellious phase and she was not excited for this. Hopefully she’d be over it by the time Russ entered his. “Dani,” she said in her best mom voice, raising an eyebrow.
Despite knowing that her mother was in no shape to actually chase Dani if she caused the problems, the little girl frowned and got off of the chair before heading over to her own chair.
“Oooh. I’ll definitely need some chicken nuggets with mine then,” Riley said. The best part was that they were the Dino nuggets. The shapes seemed to make them tatse even better.

OOC:Text (Thanks! I hope you enjoyed the day!)
Maverick couldn't help but chuckle a little at her sign. They did think rather similarly a lot. “Well I was actually thinking the same thing, funnily enough,” he said, smiling at Tori. He then tilted his head. “Well than, in that case, which would you prefer? A nachos to share? Or one each?”
.-=-.-=-.
Lachlan sighed at her words, and looked up at her. His gaze was soft, and though he wanted her to know, he couldn't help but feel a little a little bad for saying that. Just the fact that she apologised showed him how she felt. She never apologised normally. “It's…it's just something that's been building up over the years… I,” Lach sighed again, “I know you prefer your own company. It's not your fault. It's just me.” Lach seemed to say the word “me” with an annoyed sounding tone. She had told him what to expect, yet he stayed anyway. And her words, and his own just brought up the question that had been stuck at the back of his mind. Why did she come for him? It did confuse him. Saying that she didn't want to go back alone was weak answer at best. She came here in the first place for him clearly. But why? If she liked her own company, if she prefers doing things on her own, then why did she go out of her way to bring him back? Lach left it at her answer for now, but he will be bringing it up again for sure.
.-=-.-=-.
A casual visit. If Rico hadn't been used to being afraid of the Queen, than he would have laughed at those words. He was certain that this meeting was anything but casual. The Queen never did anything casual for anyone. However, her previous words did catch his interest, and he tilted his head. “Room?” He asked, trying hard to not stutter. What did she mean by rooms? He had never really had a room.. Not a real one, so he was more confused than anything.
.-=-.-=-.
This certainly was the first adventure that Lach had been through. The first one that he considered a real adventure of course. A lot of things could be thought of as an adventure, but this… This felt like he was literally in a story book. Well, he kinda was really. “It certainly is. This is my kind of adventure honestly. I'm not the constant action type,” he said with a small laugh. Lach noticed once Celia was on the rock, that she had to take a moment, and he saw the look of pain on her face, slightly. That's noted then. No more exertion for her. After she got off this rock, there was no more climbing to be done again. “Hmm, what do you do now, just take a seat?”
