(How did this happen? XD Not that I'm complaining about being so overly attached to fictional characters.)
Tori slowly nodded and looked over at him when he placed a hand on her shoulder. Yet instead of turning to leave, the girl took a step closer to her boyfriend, her arms wrapping around his waist. She had a feeling that their time alone was going to be cute incredible in half here, and since they were alone, she was going to take any chance she could to be close to him. Especially now as she was never really one to handle change well.
~*
Celia was afraid to touch him if she were to be honest. He looked horrible. Half his face was black with bruises, there was blood on his clothes, but thankfully not a huge amount. How long had he been like this? Who had done this to him? Where they still around? That thought scared her the most. "L-Lach, listen, we..." she started, but was cut off by his mutterings. For a moment longer, she could do nothing but stare at the young man, this time, in a different type of stunned silence. Did he just say... No, he couldn't have. Even if he did, he was half conscious. He must be delusional. "Lach, if I help you up, can you stand?" she asked. They needed to get out of this place, quickly. Part of her wanted to try and make it back to the portal, but she doubted Lach could make it that far. At the very least, they needed to be in some kind of shelter.
~*
Phallon could only nodded in response. "Then... Then what do we do? I mean I know that we have to play along, but what if she sets us up? What if she asks us to do something she knows we can't do? What would happen then?"
~*
He was right, she didn't remember anything from her time on Earth other than the brief moments before she was attacked. Then a few moments inside Lach's apartment, but even then it was hazy. Celia shrugged, not really wanting to dwell on the subject. It was bad enough she would carry permanent reminders of that day with her the rest of her life. "I still say I would have been fine," she muttered. (Lol honestly? I actually have no idea. XD It just happened really.) Feeling the girl wrap her arms around him, he sighed slightly, smiling. He then turned and put his own arms around her back, holding her against him. Taking a deep breath, he kissed her head. "I love you Victoria," he said softly, slowly bringing one of his hands up to run it through her hair. He knew what she was doing. She just wanted to savour the quiet moment alone that they had. Sadly Mav shared her thoughts in wondering how many of these beautiful moments they would actually get all to themselves. .-=-.-=-. Lachlan didn’t even notice her looking at him in stunned silence, as his head was simply leaning against the wall, and his eyes were closed. If he had seen it though he would have questioned it for sure, because seeing as he thought she was a figment of his imagination, he had figured that she would already know of his feelings. As she spoke again, Lach looked at her, his eye opening questioningly. “I-I can probably stand. But….But how are you supposed to help me up? Y-you’re not...here…” Lachy trailed off again, more confused than anything now. This didn’t make sense at all. He knew Celia wasn’t here, she couldn’t be. She might deal with him, but he was sure that she didn’t care enough to do something as stupid as coming to Earth for him. Not after last time. But yet she was asking if she could help him up? A hallucination couldn’t help him to his feet? .-=-.-=-. Rico sighed, shrugging. “I...I don’t know what we would do then…” he said quietly, swallowing the lump forming in his throat. He had no idea what they even could do in a situation like that. Rico’s hand twitched for a moment, a sign of hesitation, before he lifted it and softly grabbed her hand. “I-I’m sure we’ll be okay. We’ll get out of this together.” .-=-.-=-. Lachy noticed the pause, before she simply muttered her stubborn reply. Carefully the boy extended his arm and bumped her side with his shoulder, smiling. “I know you would have been fine Celia. It comes from our concern for you remember. We just want to be safe, ” he pointed out to her, giving her a pointed look. Lachy then shrugged. “If you don't want me right here, I can stand back, give you your space,” he offered. Was he happy to do that? No entirely. He kinda wanted to just chat with her like this, but he didn't mind if she wanted him to stand back, he understood

Setting everything down at the kitchen table, Koda took her seat. It felt strange being the only one at the table, but she couldn't really do much about that. So, tentatively, she poured a little of the syrup onto her pancakes before cutting off a piece to try. It felt like ages since she last had a pancake. Her eyes closed briefly in appreciation of the simple breakfast food she had forgotten even existed.
"Do you think that would do any good?" Talon asked. "I don't want them to be seen, but I would like to be able to use them if I needed to." Right now, his wings felt very constricted in the borrowed shirt he wore, making him a bit anxious. His wings were his best get away tools after all.
Anya resurfaced before Seth did, having not sunk as deep in the water. She waited, glancing about to see where Seth was, and spotted him just a few feet away. "This is nice," the girl called out to him. "I'm surprised the water is as warm as it is. Is it always like this? Or does it change with the seasons like everything else?"
Dallas nodded. "Matthias is good with cars. He should be able to get you up and running in no time," he assured her with a smile. "Did you find anything that we can wrap around my arm? If not, I think I should be good until he gets here."
~*
"Yeah, I think that would be best. Don't need to tire him out before the day is over," Charles said. Plus, he didn't like leaving him outside if he walked into a building for long. He didn't think anyone would try to steal him, but he just wanted his horse to be safe. "East of the market. I'll remember that."
(XD Like little accidents. But they're our little accidents. XD)
"I love you," Tori muttered, not wanting to take her arms away from him to sign. Plus, she felt like saying the words carried more weight than signing them, even if it was more difficult to do. She didn't care. Now she wanted nothing more than to go back home, to forget this whole university thing, and go back to how it was. The experience had only begun, and hadn't even been that terrible, but the young woman simply wished for the changes to be undone. It was selfish of her, she knew, but it was her anxiety talking.
~*
Celia reached out with a trembling hand and caught hold of his wrist, gently tugging on it as if wanting him to rise. "Just try it," she told him. They didn't have time to deal with his "hallucinations." They could sort out what was and wasn't real later. Right now, she had to get him to safety and tend to his wounds. "P-please, Lach, just stand up. We have to go. Sam, where was the closest shelter?"
~*
Phallon nodded and held his hand in hers. She should have been more worried about all of this than she was, but everything still had this sort of dream like quality to it. Yes, the longer she stayed here, the longer she wasn't on Earth, meaning her parents were probably freaking out. Yet it all just felt like a distant concern.
~*
Celia tensed slightly when he nudged her, but she didn't try to retreat. She had learned that the boy made these little breaches of personal space every now and then. Yet no matter how many times she stated how displeased she was with them, he kept doing it. Best to save her breath. "I just want to get out. How close did Toadsworth say I had to stay to the house?" she asked.

He soon returned to work flipping the two pancakes and putting the omelette on a plate. "Almost done guys!" Kelsa shrugged, "I mean you can un-morph right?" She smirked, "I can so I assume you can and if you can, then we can cut holes into your shirts and just don't have your wings out in public, just have them around here or in the forest where yout hink you are safe? Does that make sense?"

Part of her had wanted to wait until the others were there to eat as well, but as soon as she had that first bite, that plan was ruined. She had the first pancake eaten by the time the rest of the food had finished cooking.
"Um..." Talon muttered. That was the thing. At the School, they really didn't seem to inform him or test if he could "morph" or not. As far as he knew, he always had his wings and always would. The process of shifting so they wouldn't be there never even crossed his mind.
"Oh yeah, I guess that would be a problem," Anya mused. She forgot about the huge waterfall blocking the entrance. Of course, were there to be a spell to clear a path, it wouldn't be an issue, but that had already been deemed as difficult and dangerous to attempt. "It still feels nice, though."

He called to the others and sat across from Koda while putting two more pancakes on her plate, "Knew you would like them!" Kelsa raised an eyebrow, "So is that a no? Because if it is, I can certainly teach you how to do so. It's a hard subject but I'll try and help as much as I can!" She perked up at the sound of food being ready and got up, "Come on, we can continue this discussion while we are eating," She wlaked to the dining table and licked her lips at the sight of an omelette and a stack on pancakes just for her.

Alexa sighed in relief, they were strangers after all and getting into a car with strangers was never a good idea, but neither was trusting these people either honestly. The thought of the other person coming kind of got her heart racing because it could end up being a bad idea anyways but this guy did not seem like the type to lie, especially now so she calmed herself down and tried to be okay with it. As long as it was just fixing the car it should be alright. She then finally pulled out a t-shirt she really had to care for and wondered why in the first place she had even packed it. Probably because she just through a bunch of random items of clothing in one back while being more precise with her other. Anyways, she held it up and told him, "I have this t-shirt if you want it. I think it could do the trick for now."
---
"Okay, let's head that way first then and then go search for some paints," Amelia smiled and turned toward the direction of the stable. It wasn't that far of a walk so they would be there in no time. She was, however, starting to wonder if there was something else on Casper's mind because he did look a little troubled. She had gotten pretty good at reading him over the last few months they've spent together. She just wasn't sure yet if she should mention anything or not.

Dallas smiled at the offered t-shirt. "I hate to ruin your clothes," he said, taking the shirt and folding it in a way so it could be wrapped better. "I promise, I'll pay you back. I really should learn to be more careful out here so this doesn't happen." As best as he could with one hand and teeth, he tied the shirt around his arm as best as he could.
~*
Nodding, Charles followed behind her. The path to the stables had become a familiar one. If he tried, he was sure Crow could walk it himself. Yet the horse meant too much to him to simply let him wander the streets. So he had to led. Not to mention, Charles liked to make sure he was fed and watered properly himself. It was something his stablemaster had always done, so as he grew up, Charles adopted it as well. "Will it take long to pick out the paint?" he asked.

(Yeah. They're our special little accidents. XD I love ‘em.) Maverick closed his eyes gently, squeezing her for a moment. He then leaned his head down a little to whisper into her ear. “You know, we may grow, but those words will never get old.” He meant it with all his heart. Even now when Tori said that it send flutters through his heart, and put a lump in his throat. Honestly in this moment, Mav shared Tori's thoughts. Right now all he wanted to do was snuggle up with her in a warm bed, settling down to watch a movie, knowing that they'll probably doze off halfway way through anyway. But no, they they were in college. More school. So he had no doubt they would steal these moments whenever they got them. .-=-.-=-. As soon as Celia’s hand grabbed a hold of his wrist, Lach looked up to meet her gaze, his eye wide despite the pain. In comparison to him this was much more important. She really was here. No hallucination would be able to touch him right? Which meant Celia had actually come for him. With a new sense of determination, Lachlan slowly nodded. “I-I can try,” he said quietly. He then grabbed her wrist weaky with the hand she had taken a bold of, and used his other hand to shakily try and push him up. All the while he was hissing through gritted teeth at the pain. Sam watched the pair silently. This was between them. She obviously knew the boy's feelings toward Celia, and she wanted to leave the two to greet each other. However when Celia turned to ask her a question, the bird jumped to life, chirping and hopping down the alley as she tried to tell them to follow. .-=-.-=-. Rico sighed, looking down at their hands, holding onto each other tightly. This was all they had now wasn't it? In all this, all the pair would have is each other. That the boy was sure about. Slowly he blinked, shaking his head. “I'm sorry Phallon. I-I know what you say, but if it wasn't for me, you'd be home safe right now. You shouldn't be caught up in this,” the boy said quietly, his eyes drifting up to her face, but only for a couple seconds before he looked away again. .-=-.-=-. Lachy noticed that she went tense for a moment when he touched her, and slowly blinked as he silently cursed at himself. He knew what Celia thought about her own personal space, and that she didn't like it when he breached it, and yet he still did it. Why? Lachy wasn't even too sure himself. Maybe that was just who he was? Maybe he just did it because subconsciously he wanted to see if her reactions ever got better toward it? He wasn't even sure. At her question he looked up as he thought, before shrugging. “I don't think he mentioned that. Though I don't think we should go any further than the edges of town,” he said, glancing at her

(Hey! It was so hard for me to decide a plot! I've been glancing at this thread for about two days now and was having a hard time deciding on one. I hope you don't mind me joining!)
SN: sephy Plot/Prompt: Rock Star Character's Name: Paige Baker Description: Paige stands at 5'4 and weighs 153 pounds and is 23 years old. She has curly sandy brown hair that she often throws in a ponytail due to it being so hard to maintain. When her hair is curly and down it goes to her upper back and when it is straightened it goes to the middle of her back. Her skin color is beige and she burns easily in the sun, especially on her upper cheeks. Her eyes are dark brown and her right eyelid, if someone looks very closely, has a light scratch from her childhood cat that is not noticeable at all unless someone actively looks for it. She typically dresses for comfort, wearing tennis shoes and workout pants with any baggy shirt she can find. Personality: Paige was always a follower instead of a leader. She often looked for the approval of others instead of doing what she wanted. That could be why she decided to try to become a registered nurse like her father and found herself dropping out two years into school. She has a passion for horticulture and is often reading about the subject and even growing plants and attempting to help them grow the best she can. She is friendly and is always trying to brighten everyone's day. However, she is prone to be pushed around and walked all over since she does not protest too much. She has a hard time saying no to anyone. Password: Midnight Other: N/A

Tori's arms tightened around him when he said that. Of the few people in her life, he was the only one who knew how much to appreciate when she spoke. Yeah, to anyone else, they might just see it as an everyday kind of thing, but it was only when you couldn't use your voice did you realize how much you took it for granted. The girl had to take in a deep breath as her emotions threatened to over-take her. This was not the time to start crying. If she cried, Mav might take it the wrong way. Not to mention the questions she might be asked if her roommate saw the remnants of her tears. No, she could do this. For, Mav, if nothing else, she could do this.
~*
Celia did her best to pull him to his feet without hurting him further. Despite being well shorter than him, she wasn't weak. Once he was upright, the girl did something she normally wouldn't have done. She stepped closer to wrap one arm around his sides, draping his arm over her shoulders. It was the only way she would have been able to support him. "You're going to have to walk," she told him. "I don't know where Sam is leading us." And with that, she slowly and carefully led the young man after his bird.
~*
"I know that I should have a different outlook on all of this," Phallon stated slowly, "but I can't help but be a little amused by it all. I mean, how many people can say they got sucked into a fairy tale?" she gave a small laugh, but it was a fleeting attempt to lighten the mood. "It's not your fault I'm here. Stop blaming yourself. You couldn't have known this would have happened."
~*
"Yes, but do you know where the edges of town are?" Celia asked. He has had a week to learn the place. While she kind of knew the answer he would give, she kind of wanted to know just how much he learned. Not for being proud of how fast he was accepting his new "home" world, but to see if she could work in a loophole for her own sake.
(Lol, glad to have you! ^^ She looks amazing! I can't wait to see her and Rixon together. Is there anything about the plot you want to figure out before we get started?)
The moment he dunked under the water, Anya was slightly freaking out. This was due to having five older brothers who found it funny to try and scare everyone whenever they could. Of course, they never did anything to harm anyone, but it was enough to make the other siblings nervous when one suddenly went missing. She didn't try to swim away, however, since she wasn't sure what he was actually doing and didn't want to risk kicking/hitting him if he resurfaced as she was doing so. It didn't surprise her when he tugged her hair. She laughed and quickly turned around, using her hand to splash the Seth since she really couldn't do much else. "What? You didn't think I could?" she teased. "That might have been good to find out before you plunged me under the waterfall." Her legs might have been secured to the saddle, but what if something had happened and they broke? "My parents taught all of us to swim. Our farm is right next to the river that flows from the mountains. It floods from time to time in the more rainier seasons. Our parents thought it would be a good idea if their children knew how to swim in case something ever happened. Then we would have a fighting chance at least."

(I got an A- on my speech!)
Riley would never actually do anything to truly hurt Mason in retaliation for his water trick. Now, she wasn’t even thinking of revenge as she squeezed his hand and walked close to him. “I can’t believe we’re actually on vacation... and such a beautiful place,” she murmured, looking around as they walked

Riley nodded. “I’m just not sure he’d accept anything? I mean he said this was for what we did when his place crashed, so he probably just sees it as repaying a debt.” Of corse, her brother did deserve a break. He was working hard to raise three kids and she knew that Amelia’s death was still hard for him

While she kind of knew the answer he would give, she kind of wanted to know just how much he learned. Not for being proud of how fast he was accepting his new "home" world, but to see if she could work in a loophole for her own sake. Maverick smiled wider when Tori's arms tightened. He knew wholeheartedly, that no matter what happened in their lives he would always love her with all his heart. How could he not? She was beautiful, kind, selfless, love him to death. She was simply just perfect. Mav felt her chest push against his as she took a deep breath, and slowly he sighed. Over the two years he had made it very important to him to learn Tori's signs. Of course he knew how to sign, but he knew that Tori wasn't always great at sharing how she felt, so he learnt to pick on her body language. He obviously wasn't great at it but he could mostly tell. And he sure that the boy could feel a slight quiver in Tori's breath. “You okay Baby?” he asked softly, still whispering, and of course saying it in a way that she could simply nod or shake her head if she didn't want to let go. .-=-.-=-. Lach let her help him up, as he knew that without her he likely wouldn't be able to walk anywhere. At least, it would be a terrible struggle for him to manage. He was still shocked though at the idea that Celia was actually here. Though with his arm over her shoulders and her arm around his waist, it just served to remind him that this was as close as they'd ever been willingly to each other. Lach slowly walked with her, nodding. “I-I can…walk,” he said quietly, his voice raspy from pain. The boy tried not to say much in an attempt to just use his breath to steady himself. Thankfully the walk wouldn't be a long one, as Sam had spotted a small abandoned house just around the corner, one house down. On the way out, the bird also grabbed Lachy’s bag in her talong. It with light, so it scarcely affected the large bird. .-=-.-=-. Rico looked at Phallon, a look of confusion playing for a moment on his face at her mention of amusement. However as she finished her sentence, he understood what she meant and nodded, “Yeah, I-I guess you're right. It must be pretty unreal for you,” he said, smiling a little. She did have a point, it was kinda funny in hindsight. But, she was just finding herself on the wrong side of the fairytale, that's the problem. Then as the girl tried to tell him it wasn't his fault, Rica shook his head slowly. “Well...no, but I should have known. I knew the p-posabilities, and I was specifically told not to make friends.” .-=-.-=-. Lachy slowly nodded. Was she asking in hopes that he would guess further away than the edges of town actually was? “I know where the edges of the town are. I've had a week of mostly wandering around, I should know by now. Plus the village isn't huge,” he pointed out to the girl, before tilting his head as he thought. “I think though for us, the ‘edge of town’ should be no more than a street in each direction, two at most,” he said. They didn't need to go far from the house to occupy themselves for an hour and a half.

It was hard to hide it when he asked her if she was okay. Mav knew her too well, and maybe a part of her wanted him to know. Whenever her emotions got out of whack, she was a mess. Not to mention she was afraid that if she was left alone to sort herself out, she might be tempted to harm herself again. She gave the smallest shakes of her head, clinging to his shirt as she tried to keep things under control. She just needed to get through a few more hours. Then the day would be over and a new one would begin. It couldn't be that bad.

Celia longed to just drag Lach the rest of the way to the house, but she knew that would be cruel. So, she had to forced herself to keep the agonizingly slow pace for his sake. Without knowing the full extent of his injuries, she didn't want to do anything that could make things worse. Of course, having him up and walking wasn't a good idea, but how else was he to get to shelter? When the two finally made it to the door, the young woman more or less had to kick it open because she didn't want to risk letting go of Lach. With the entrance open, she led him inside.

"Well, you might have been told that, but I wasn't. In fact, I was encouraged to make friends," Phallon pointed out. "So whether you would have wanted to or not, I would have befriended you. There was no way around it. So stop blaming yourself."

And he smashed her hopes. Celia cast him a glare that didn't really have much power behind it. Of course, he'd be a kiss-up to Toadsworth and give that sort of answer. There was one spot just on the edge of town she would have loved to have gone and spent her free time had he given the proper answer. She could still go if she ended up losing him like she had thought of, but then that would have meant more work for herself. "I can make it farther than just a street length in any direction," she pointed out.
"That may be, but I didn't understand your crazy suicide plan before finding out there was a cave on the other side," Anya lightly countered. "You do have a habit of walking into things that shouldn't be able to walk through. So how was I to know we wouldn't have drowned?"

(If you could start that would be awesome! I typically do better when someone else begins and I can bounce ideas off of them)

(Alright! I'll also put up my character's description as well. ^^ Rixon Farwell Rixon, at 25 years of age, stands jut shy of six foot and got a strong, sturdy build. He has a barreled chest and toned muscles from working out. In between touring and writing more songs, he likes to work out to relieve stress and relax. So it's no surprise he looks as good as he does. However, he doesn't do it for the fan appeal. Short brunette hair sit on his head, styled so the front of his hair sticks up in an almost cowlick fashion. Brown eyes to match are framed with long eye lashes. His skin tone is more on the yellowish tone spectrum, which is tanned for half of the year due to playing so many shows outside. Around his neck hangs a pair of dog tags that used to belong to his brother while he served in the National Guard. His style is usually made up of dark jeans and band tees with his favorite boots. Rixon as two personalities. One he uses when he's with the band, and the one he uses when he's around friends and family. When touring with the band and preforming on stage, he plays the "good boy gone bad" act. The gentleman rock star, the charmer, the boy who would play nice in front of your parents, but once alone its a whole other story. He's not a player, and never leads any of his female fans astray, but he does woo them and try to make them feel good about themselves. When he's not on tour and back home, he's much more relaxed. There's no charmer act because everyone at home is immune to him. To his parents, he is just their son who gets no special treatment. To his friends, he was the one kid in band practice that would break out in unnecessary solos and make remixes of the songs just to get on the teacher's nerves. All in all, Rixon just likes to have a good time. The less he has to worry about, the better.) The life of a rock star was a topic of conflicting opinions. Some saw it as good life, the life of no rules and good times all around. Others saw it as a life of rebellion and bad influence, giving in to the temptations of the world. Both opinions were correct. Rixon had learned pretty quickly in his time in the band that being a singer and performing to the world was both amazing and horrible at the same time. Sure, he got to travel the world, made money singing songs that he was passionate about, and heard his name being screamed by countless fans. At the same time, he didn't get to see his family often, he lived on a cramped tour bus with five other guys, and had to retrain his sleep schedule. It was tougher than one might think. He wouldn't trade it for anything. With the good and the bad, Rixon was proud of what his band had accomplished in the five years of being together. They had produced two albums, toured the states just as many times, had dozens of interviews and meet and greets, and there was even talk of going on a world tour. Life could not be any better for the twenty-six year old. And it was only getting better by the minute. As of right now, he was on his way to his home town. The band had agreed to take a few months off to spend time with their families before starting work on a new album. No one knew he was coming home. They hadn't said anything to the public about the small vacation they were taking. He wanted to surprise his family and friends and try to have a few days of peace before the rest of the town knew he was there. For this reason, he wasn't riding in the tour bus, but instead had packed his bags into his bus driver's personal car. Joey, the driver, also lived near the area, so he had offered to drop off the lead singer at his old home. While riding in the passenger seat, shades on, the two buddies spent the drive in a combination of conversations and comfortable silence. During one of these silences, the young man took this opportunity to text one of his childhood friends. Hey, Paige. You out of bed yet? The text was obviously a tease. It was well passed the middle of the day. He just hoped she wasn't doing anything important and he had just interrupted her.

"I can make it farther than just a street length in any direction," she pointed out.
Maverick sighed as he felt her shake her head, even though it was barely a movement. In response, the boy softly began to sway them. It was a slight movement, but it was enough to feel. “Oh baby… We still have each other, you know that’s not going to change,” he told her softly. He then brought his hand up and gently ran his fingers through her soft hair. “And I promise, we’re still going to have our alone time, that won’t change either. School can’t stop us from that,” he promised her. .-=-.-=-. Lach was grateful for Celia’s help, though he was having trouble with all this, and he was hardly paying attention to what was actually happening. The boy was having a hard time believing that Celia was even here. Though he was brought back to reality when Celia basically kicked down the front door of a house and led him inside. Slowly they made their way to a destroyed couch, and painfully he laid down on top of it, watching Celia as he tried to position himself with a groan. .-=-.-=-. Rico slowly blinked, his lips twitching ever so slightly upwards at Phallon words. She was so nice, and she wasn't fearful and jumpy like most people here. Quietly the boy sighed, and looked her in the face. “Thank you Phallon. Y-your a good person. I…I wish we weren't in this situation, we may have enjoyed being with each other more than probably.” Now they were close still, but they couldn't actually enjoy themselves. Not while they were being locked up in a cell. Lachy caught the glare, but didn't mind it too much. He kind of expected it. However at her words the boy looked at Celia, tilting his head. “I know you could, but why do you want to so much? Unless you have somewhere in particular you want to be, a couple streets should really be all we need to occupy ourselves for an hour and a half,” the boy asked curiously. She seemed to really want to go farther afield, but he wasn't overly sure why Celia would want to so much.

"Because eventually that luck's going to run out?" Anya offered. That and she had been more scared than she would have like to admit. "And I have no intentions of testing out whether or not it extends to me. I'll leave that to you.
Tori knew he spoke the truth. They were still going to be there for one another, even if they could share a room. But it was the times when she was alone with her thoughts that worried her the most. What was she going to do if she had one of these moments and Mav couldn't come to help her? What would happen if she didn't have him talking her down from whatever her mind was telling her? She kept these thoughts to herself and tried to push them away. Instead, she tried to focus on the rhythm of the swaying and the sound of his breathing to calm her down enough so they could continue on with the rest of the day.
~*
Once he was on the couch, Celia hurried to close the door. There was no lock, or at least, not that she could see, so she dragged a small end table over to block the door. It might not keep anyone out, but at least they'd have warning if anyone was trying to enter. With that down, she returned to Lach. "Where's the worst of the wounds?" she asked, picking up his ba from Sam and going through it. She praised Toadsworth for packing the boy medical supplies, for no one else would have put them here. There were bandages and salves and herbs carefully wrapped. This was going to make things much easier.
~*
"I don't know about that," Phallon said. "I still like being around you, despite the cell and death threats over you. If Cheshire is right, and we have some kind of leverage on the Queen, I think we can still make the most of this."
~*
Celia sighed. "Have you learned nothing?" she asked. "I don't like this," she indicated to the houses and storefronts that littered the streets and the people that were slowing leaving their houses, "especially at the moment. I'm stir crazy and don't feel like being stopped every two seconds by someone I know. I just want to... to go somewhere, anywhere."

Janitor Keys. I finally have janitor keys. Paige thought and did a slight eye roll. Her keys jingled as she tried to find her house key and she managed to overlook it several times and continuously trying the same key that looks a lot like her own house key. It did not help that she was also holding groceries with her other arm. She eventually picked the right key and unlocked her house and walked in while kicking her shoes off at the front door. She walked by a pile of medical textbooks she often referred to as a waste of money that sat on her coffee table and made her way to her kitchen to put the groceries away.
The first thing she saw in her sink was none other than her fluffy overweight grey cat. "Oliver, you know you shouldn't be in the sink!" She spoke in a stern voice even though he didn't care. He was always getting into places he knew he didn't belong and only wanted attention when people were either leaving the house or were not paying attention to him. When Paige raised her voice at him, Oliver simply looked up at her with a look of annoyance as she had disturbed him mid-paw lick and then resumed grooming himself. In the sink. Paige sighed and picked up Oliver and moved him to the couch, knowing he wouldn't move unless she moved him.
Right after placing Oliver on the couch, she felt her phone buzz in her back pocket, pulled it out, and unlocked it when she saw it was her old friend Rixon. She leaned against the kitchen counter and smiled when she saw his message and responded immediately with, Nope, I just got home from being a productive adult. I'm shocked you're not sleeping in today. What's up?

(True. I just got one more project and then three finals)
Riley nodded. “I guess that works,” she said, though she knew their apartment would be a little cramped and chaotic with five kids - the twins and Elijah’s three. Her brother did deserve it though. “But it would be nice to do something for Eli after all he’s done for us,” she said, swinging their hands between them as they walked down the beach.
