(Alright. I'll have my other character finished soon.)
Anya sighed as she scanned her surroundings. Two days ago, she and her dragon had set off from her home town. The reason was to search for someone who could train them because at the moment, neither one of them knew much about the responsibilities and skills a Rider and dragon should have. Her dragon, Corik, was still young, only 8 months old, yet he was large enough to carry her. The reason why she was riding a horse instead of her dragon was simply because she didn't have a saddle made for him. The girl had made the mistake of riding her dragon without a saddle once before, and instantly regretted it after a short flight. There was no way she was traveling long distances by flight without a proper saddle.
So she had to enough the sights of the plains she was traveling through at the moment. She was heading north to some of the more popular cities, hoping to find someone willing to craft the equipment she needed. Once there, she would hunt down leads of who she should see about her training. Until then, her eyes took in the sights and sounds of nature. Bugs buzzed all around her, and the wind whispered through the knee high grass on either side of the road. It was peaceful, but the quietness was also making her drowsy. To push aside the temptation to doze, the girl shifted her gaze skyward. High above her was a dark speck in the sky. To someone else, it might simply look like a bird, but she knew the speck was her dragon, saying out of sight yet close enough if danger was near.
"Sam," Riley muttered, "you've always had a bit of a temper, just like I've always been a charmer. It's what I do, but I've never once cheated on you with them. Doesn't that mean anything? You've always have a temper, and I've learned to work around it. Plus, I know what you're family is going through. Of course, you're not going to be a happy camper. The fact that you didn't think I would be able to stick with you through that hurts."
~*
"I was just coming to tell you the trail is set for next Thursday," James replied. "They said that was the soonest they could get it. I told them it was fine. I've also brought your homework for the week for you to finish. If you need any help, I can try to give as much assistance that I can."
"Well, I would offer my room, but I didn't think you'd want to risk you loosing my father's favor so soon," Finley replied without missing a beat. She knew he was joking, and her grin showed it. Cal, with all his joking, wasn't going to risk getting kicked out, so even if she had offered to share her room, there was a good chance he would kindly refused in the end. After all, he had worked hard to get her family to like him. She was sure he didn't want to lose it.
(Sorry it's short. >.< )

"Will do," Daniel answered, stepping out of the car also, closing and locking it behind him. He pocketed his keys and turned to her. "Let's go." He then started walking to a trial that led them to their destination. He glanced over at her occasionally, making sure she was still with him and catching up okay.
---
Amelia gave him a smile. "Alright, let's go then. It's not that far." She started walking and for the first time that day, she actually fell into a silence. She didn't see any reason to talk, at least not until they got closer to her house. "Sorry in advance if my mother does anything weird. She may or may not do something out of the ordinary. Never know with her."

"The reason I didn't tell you was because I was afraid Riley, afraid that if I had told you then you would've boke up withme, and started to rub it in my face." Samantha explained with a sad sigh.
"Thanks James, and I hope that this trial works because knowing Adam's lawyer he'll be a tough shell to crack," Amanda said as shetook the homework.

"Okay then," Finley murmured, smiling in amusement as she nestled her head on his shoulder. Their comfortable silence settled around them once more, the only noise coming from the TV she had turned on its so they wouldn't be sitting in the dark. She hardly paid attention to the show that was on, though. Her eyes began to droop after a while, so we just closed them altogether. To be honest, she hadn't meant to go to sleep, but after about five minutes of no conversation, she dozed off to sleep.
Sophia was really glad she had put on her good tennis shoes before leaving the house that morning. She sometimes wore sandals or flip flops whenever we ran errands, but today she had put on tennis shoes for no reason other than she wanted to. It was a wise choice. "So, how far away is this place?" She asked after a few minutes of walking, just to make conversation.
~*
Charles noted her silence, it was kind of hard to miss. He figured it was just because there was nothing new rebirth mentioning about the area. "I'm sure she isn't that bad you'd have to apologize for," he said in response to her comment.
"Do you really think I'm so shallow of a person that I would do something as cold and heartless as that?" Riley asked, shaking his head. "I thought you knew me better than that."
~*
"Lawyers aren't going to help him when they have strong evidence against him," James said. "No judge will fall for their weak defense."

Daniel, obviously, was prepared because he was going to do it today anyways. "About a ten to twenty minute walk, depending on how fast we walk obviously. It's not that far." He was dressed in his boots, jeans, and a light blue t-shirt, seeing as that was the first shirt he saw when he woke up and put it on.
---
Amelia just shrugged in response, "she's not bad. Not in the least bit. It's just sometimes she could act a little crazy. A nice crazy, not a bad one at all. She could even say something weird but mostly she's good. It just might be because of you. She might try shoving me at you is all." Her mother has done that plenty of times with men, even though she barely knew them. Her mother just wanted her to get married.

Mika considered Destiny's question. "I haven't heard anything from her yet, but I don't think she'd get in trouble, especially if she explained the situation to the manager. I'm sure they understand that some things are more important than a few card games." He paused a moment before he continued. "I know it's not my place to say much about this, but I'm glad we got you away from that place before things got worse. Missy isn't allowed to talk about her other cases, but I see them sometimes when I visit her office. The look in some of those people's eyes... It's like there's no life behind them."

"I do Riles, but the nightmares don't exactly help," Samantha said, and told him about her nightmares. "That's not what I mean James I mean that Adam's lawyer is close friends with a few members of the jury, and is best friends with the judge. That's what I mean," Amanda clarified with a giggle. "Why didn't you tell me about them sooner?" Riley asked. "I would have tried to help you. Or at the very least assure you that they were just nightmares."
~*
"The jury is suppose to be chosen so no members have a basis opinion," James informed her. "It doesn't matter if his lawyers are friends with some of the members of jury. They'll be replaced with different people who don't know any of the lawyers to keep the decision fair and free of bribery."
"That's not too bad," Sophia mused. She had expected to say it would have been much farther to walk than it actually was. "Do you hike this route often?"
~*
"Trust me, I'm all to familiar with mother trying to push their daughters in my direction. None have succeeded yet, and they have gone to some extreme measures. I'm sure your mother can't be any worse than them," Charles assured her. In hindsight, mentioning the fact that he had had many mothers trying to hook him up with daughters might have not been a good idea, but it was the only thing he could think to say that would assure her that he could handle her mother might say.
(It's okay!)
Upon feeling him nudging her to wake her up, Finley mumbled a protest. She had gotten comfortable and she really didn't want to move. However, she had been pulled from sleep enough to hear his last remark. "But then you'll be by yourself," she mumbled, not like he had a lot of company while she had been asleep. Reaching up, she rubbed her eyes to try and dispel the tiredness from them. She really had't meant to doze off on him. It wasn't even that late. Or was it? The girl had lost sense of what time it was.
(You started last time I think, so I'll start this time!)
It was nearly noon by the time Tori and Alec made it back to their home town. Since they didn't have to be home at any specific time, the two had slept in. In fact, she had even tried to drag out their time at the hotel as long as she could. The hotel was nice and it was fun being on their own. Yet they couldn't stay there forever. Now they were on there way back home; back to their normal lives. Back to her mother who was probably furious. Tori sighed slightly as she stared out the window.
(Here you go, Feather!)
"Good, I'd hate for her to get in trouble leaving," Destiny said. Jazzi was a kind girl, and she was starting to think of her as an older sister figure. The thought of getting her in trouble at work had been eating away at her mind whenever she wasn't asleep. She ate a couple more bites of her breakfast before Mika made his second comment. "It's kind of hard to keep any life when it's constantly being beaten out of you," she murmured, staring down at her plate. "Especially when that's all you've ever known."

"Then I'll turn in for the night," Cal smoothly responded. Being left alone was pretty low on his list of dislikes and pretty high on his list of likes anyway. Cal easily detached himself from Finley and stood. He rooted around for the TV remote on the coffee table, but when he didn't find it he turned back to Finley who was rubbing her eyes. Figuring his next best bet would be that she was sitting on it, he gently scooted her closer to where he had been sitting, and to his delight, there it was. Cal shut the TV off and faced her, hands on his hips. Cal didn't really think she purposely fell asleep on him, but they had both been tired to begin with, so it hadn't been a surprise. "C'mon, Fin, you're heading upstairs. I'll carry you up there if you don't give me a choice."

Daniel nodded, "yeah, I do, because at the end, it is extreme fun. You'll see what I mean when we get closer. I don't know how many people are here today. But by the look of all the cars out there, not many. Some of those people could just be plain hiking instead of what we're doing."
---
"Well, you also don't know my mother. She's trying to get me married and she doesn't care whom it is, as long as it is in my age range. She doesn't seem to understand I would rather wait and find a guy myself. She throws me at strangers, even to her because according to her, my "internal clock is ticking." She does not want to wait any longer." Amelia didn't care that there were many mothers trying to throw their daughters at this guy, it was understandable. What mother wouldn't want their daughter to be with a handsome guy like Casper? She then decided to add, "but most of what she will say will be more directed at me than you."
(I have this idea I've had for awhile and I don't know if I can keep it in much longer.)

"So this is a popular spot," Sophia mused. "How have I not heard of it as well?" Granted, she didn't go hiking very often. Usually she only went hiking a few times during the summer, and she stayed on the paths she knew best.
~*
Charles couldn't help but laughing. To think, he would have run into a person who was dealing with the same problem he was. "Well then, I guess we will fend off forced suitors together then," he said, flashing her a grin. "Maybe it might be easier if we just let her believe we're together. It might get her off your back for a while."
(It's actually a pretty good idea. They could start off as pretending to be together for her sack, which would give him a reason to keep visiting the town. Then that can lead to them actually having feelings for each other.)
(Hehe, I will have my way with it. XD) (And don't worry, my replies are short too.)
Finley felt herself lost for words at Cal's questions. Even though they had spent nearly the last two months together, neither one of them have never mentioned anything that alluded to how they truly felt about each other. So hearing his kind of round about "I love you" surprised her. And then she was lifted up into his arms, on her way to her room. She knew she should respond, but how? After all, he hadn't said it in a way she could just return the words. So she just wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing his cheek. "I'm so lucky to have such a caring boyfriend," she finally said, buying her a little more time to gather her thoughts.

Aaron flicked his ear as he sensed another dragon, close by. He eyed the ground, spotting a girl riding a horse. It was obvious that she, too, was a rider. Aaron pondered for a moment, before patting Silfang's side.
Silfang, can you land in front of the girl on horseback, below us? He asked, gently touching Silfang's mind.
Can do, it seems that we finally found a rider. Silfang replied, flying down and landed in front of the girl.
Silfang was a big dragon. She was around 8 years but, was small for a dragon around that age. Aaron looked small on her back, from that distance looking like a werecat.

Miley looked around and just stayed sitting in the chair, looking around at the room. She didn't see anything worth setting on fire, there was a small fire place so if they did find something they could light on fire, they would be safe from any spark or something wanting to spread. It also might draw attention to the house with smoke coming out of the chimney. They would just cross that bridge when they came to it.

"I believe people only know about this spot if they wanting to do this activity. Most people I've come across who don't do this don't know about it unless someone told them about it," Daniel answered. It was kind of a fun thing honestly, only know about it if you do it kind of thing.
---
Amelia was about to say something else until he said the rest of what he did. She looked at him in surprise, stopping in her tracks, and asking, "you would really do that for me? You don't have to of course but that would be really nice. I bet she would calm down for awhile, you better just hope she doesn't jump to wedding plans, she most likely will. Just letting you know what to expect before you fully dive on in to the mess."
(Yeah, I also had another idea. I was thinking that maybe when she gets her revenge on the guard Landon, he could be there and after that, I don't know, maybe have their first kiss? What do you think?)

"I don't know, I had a pretty comfortable pillow to lay on," Finley responded with a small smile as he set her down on her bed. "I'm kind of sad to be losing it." To her, she had no problem with falling asleep with Cal. They both had an understanding about the boundaries they wouldn't cross, and she trusted him. It was her father that kept her from offering him to share her room while he was here. She cared about Cal too much to see him killed by her father if he found him in her room again. She tilted her head up to look at him. Thankfully, her window let in some light so it helped her see his face.
Flynn did his best to hunt for a light, but he didn't feel like shifting back into a human. He was tired and his leg ached painfully. After a ten minutes of searching, he limped back into the living room. "Sorry, I couldn't find anything," he muttered. "We should be fine, though. I don't think we'll need it." He sat down beside her chair, sinking to the floor. "I advise to get as much rest as you can. If there's any trouble, we can also change forms and disappear out of here before anyone knows we're here."

Aaron looked at Silfang, calmly. He patted her side, gently.
Silfang, can you land faster? It seems that somebody fears us. Aaron said.
Silfang gave a light chuckle. That dragon, should know by now that it isn't faster than me. Her wing beat quickened and they were close to the ground.

"And still no hints, I see," Sophia said in amusement. "Well, I can't wait to see what this place is. It must be pretty good if you speak highly of it."
~*
"Of course, it might even help me get some ideas to calm the desperate mothers who I know. I know how it feels to be pressured about this. If I can you out of that situation, than I will feel as if I have completed one of my many jobs," Charles said. "It'll be fun having our little secret, an inside joke between us. And if she starts talking about wedding plans, then we can tell her we're taking things slow, keeping things simply."
(I think it's a good plan.)
Anya had pulled her horse to stop, not sure what to do. By now, she could tell the creature in the sky was in fact another dragon. This both surprised and excited her. She hadn't plan on running into another dragon and Rider so soon. However, Corrik didn't feel the same excitement. He let out another roar, startling her horse. The girl spoke softly to her steed, trying to calm the animal so it would't throw her to the ground or run away. Do you think you could stop that? She sent the question through her mind to her dragon. Whether he heard her or not, she wasn't sure because he didn't reply.

Miley nodded, " light might attract somebody anyway." She said, trying to be optimistic. Turning into a dog, she figured she would stay warmer with a thick fur coat. She curled up next to him, " thank you for helping me today." She sighed. " What's your story? How long have you been in there? I have been there since I was 9. So 11 years." She said. " I think I have seen you around a time or two."

"I say it's fun," Daniel replied, "but if you're scared of heights, you won't think it's pretty fun." They were getting close now to where they were going. If he listened hard enough, he could hear people laughing and having fun.
---
"Thank you," Amelia gave him a grateful smile. "It can be a great secret but if you don't mind me asking, what is your job you feel like you completed by helping me?" She thought she had an idea, she just wasn't sure if what was in her mind was correct, from what she has gathered at least. "Oh, and that is a great idea," she said as an afterthought.

Land carefully, Silfang. We don't want to startle the horse. He said, as Silfang was landing.
Silfang landed, a couple of feet in front of the horse and Aaron dismounted. He looked up at her and nodded. Aaron walked over towards the girl. Silfang stood away at least a foot away, so not to scare the horse. He could tell the girl was excited and he approached with confidence, not afraid of the dragon, in the sky.
