Ok, now I'm entering
I felt it behind me; the creature's breath was on my heels, I could smell the rotten flesh between it's teeth, hear it's panting. My heart pounded and blood roared in my ears as I pelted across the open moor.
"Bramblefeather!" I screeched as I neared the gray tabby tom who was hunting on the moor.
"Spiritleaf! I was-"
"Run!" I yowled, cutting him off. Together we raced away, headed towards camp. At the last second, I veered away. Shocked, Bramblefeather took a few more steps before turning to follow me.
"That thing's gonna kill us now!" he cried, anger in his wide eyes. Anger that was directed at me.
"If we had have led it to camp, kits, elders, queens, apprentices and warriors could have been killed!" I snapped back, my heart still pounding against my chest. That's when the adrenaline hit, and I realised it was time to choose; fight or flight. I glanced over at Bramblefeather, who stared back with wide eyes. Everything seemed to slow down. Determination must've shown in my gaze, because Bramblefeather's eyes narrowed and he dipped his head once. We ran a few more fox-lengths, then whirled around, claws unsheathed, teeth bared, to face the monster behind us. It snarled, the rotteness of it's breath polluting my senses, flesh wedged between it's cracked yellow teeth. I growled back in response, but I was feeling less brave now. Adrenaline still pumped through me, though, and my jaw was set. We had to defeat this monster. For the sake of our Clan. And so, the two of us charged as one, both unsure if we would survive, but certain that this was what we had to do.
That's my entry into the weekly contest, the one where you had to write about Fear but not use the word fear of any of it's synonyms.

"Huh was?" asked Eveline, looking at Josh with raised eyebrows. "Did you hit your head or do you always sound crazy. What in the world did you just say?"
"These people... uhhh... kidnapped me... said some crazy stuff... then they let me go." Josh had been about to swear a lot in that sentence, but he knew how Eveline felt about swearing. |

I discovered Warriors when I was ten (four years ago as of next month lol). I kinda read them a bit out of order, but I fell in love with the series, joined the forums and now I'm here! Last year, though, I started animating, and though I haven't done a lot of animation, I am enjoying it so far.

"Sincerely Me" "I'm not sure this will work, Ashenfur." the russet tabby tom's nervous gaze cast downwards.
"If they hate us for it, then we know they were never loyal to us," pointed out the dark gray tabby tom, his tan muzzle and underbelly fur shining from being freshly cleaned. "Besides, it worked for appledawn and Willowdream, didn't it, rowanspark?"
"I know, but..." rowanspark's green eyes gleamed with terror. "I'm his son!"
"all the more reason that he'll accept us." Ashenfur brushed up against the other tom. "it'll be fine. trust me."
"I do trust you! it's my father that i don't trust..." rowanspark's pelt bushed out as he realised the other tom was padding away, back towards camp. "ashenfur! I'm not ready!"
"can't hear you!" the other tom called back, a cheeky grin on his face. "ah, Seedstar, just who i was looking for!"
i am so dead.
"Look, i get if you hate us, but rowanspark and i... we're mates."
"my son is..."
"yep." Rowanspark felt oddly defiant all of a sudden.
"this is... too much to process." Seedstar backed up, shaking his head slowly. rowanspark's gaze hardened to ice.
"look," he meowed harshly. "if you don't accept us, we'll leave."
"i... i can't accept it! you're... you never seemed..."
"guess we're leaving, Rowanspark," ashenfur murmured.
"no! Rowanspark, don't..."
"goodbye, father. tell mother i love her. sincerely, me." and with that, rowanspark and ashenfur padded off into the distance. |

Josh's eyes widened as the tallest pulled out a small hunting knife.
"All we want is a couple of beasts," he said, softly yet menacing.
((Maybe timeskip to Josh trying to find the creatures the men described and then this old witch lady can tell him that those creatures together can destroy the world and then Eveline finds Josh right after the lady leaves?)) (Works for me.  ) Evenline sighed and started to walk in the direction of the forest. Hopefully, she would get eaten by a...tiger or something. What did you usually find in forests?
"What did she say? What did they say?" Josh murmured to himself. "The Shadow Beast and the Light Beast... But she said together they were dangerous..." |

((Watch my livestream with **** audio and my amazing singing Eveline wasn't sure where to look. Where was it that they weren't supposed to go? The lake (without supervision, or a lifeguard, or somesuch), the forest, the - . She cut her train of thought off. The forest was the most logical.
