Do you think the Erins should kill Needletail, or do what they did with Clear Sky and reform her character half way through the series?
I think she should die, honestly. I don't want another anti-hero. For once, I would like a cat to die and be punished for their actions instead of getting a second chance. And if she dies, I want her to go to the Dark Forest

I hope there comes a huge disaster or something that kills her along with Dovewing, might as well get rid of another cancerous character if they're gonna go at it

The thing was that Clear Sky was good before the mountain cats arrived at the new territories. Needletail has never done anything right unless it was in her own best interest (directly or indirectly, it doesn't matter). Clear Sky had an opportunity to change and accept what he was in the past while keeping what had changed about him since he'd arrived in the territories. Nothing ever triggered a change in her and since she is a fully grown cat I don't see how her personality will change with time. She isn't an apprentice anymore and shouldn't be given any slack because of that.
Though I don't think she should die, she should be exiled permanently. If she can't obey even that though, yeah, the clans can do whatever they want to her.

I hope Violetpaw kills her. I second this. I want her to become a major villain and Violetpaw finally puts an end to her.

For better or worse, I think Needletail is on a one-way trip to the Dark Forest.
I think she should become a villain, then eventually get killed. She should go to the Dark Forest. Instead of becoming Tigerstar 2.0, Needletail realizes how stupid she'd been. Unfortunately for her, it would be too late to make up for her actions, and doesn't get into StarClan.

Nah, she needs to live. I don't want her to die before she realizes the consequences of her actions- or before she gets punished in some way. Like Leafpool said, sometimes it's better for cats to live in order to be truly punished.

I don't think she should die yet. I still find her an interesting character. At first her rule-breaking was played off as cool and adventurous, but Thunder and Shadow brought light to the dangers of her actions. Needletail doesn't regret anything because she wasn't grateful for the clan that she had and didn't take into consideration how the rules she constantly broke actually help the clan in the long run. She fails to grasp the concept of honor.
Over the course of the series, the clans as a whole started to disregard the warrior code more and more causing it to lose value for both the cats and the readers. Needletail's character brings to light how important the warrior code is to what it means to be a warrior and what it means to be in a clan.

Needletail's character brings to light how important the warrior code is to what it means to be a warrior and what it means to be in a clan. That is a good point. I mean, as the series progressed, the cats began to care about the code less and less. Borders were crossed, forbidden relationships were forged, and there's been a few instances where a Clan hunted on another Clan's territory and more border skirmishes. Perhaps the warrior code will become important again in this arc. I may not be reading it, but it seems that the Erins would at least listen to the fans in that regard.

let her live...knowing that she did something wrong, that she could still partially make up for it--but won't, that she did it to herself although she still blames others for it

Everyone is wondering if Needletail should live or die, while I'm just sitting here wondering what kind of mother she would make. XD It was implied that she and Rain became mates, so I wouldn't be surprised if she gave birth to kits.

live. just too see how it ends up. i really wished she didn't turn so... stereotypical? i don't what words to use. i was hoping she would seem more laid-back and passive bout his. like just sticking with her personality in TAQ, where she didn't stumble for Rain once but treated him like he was ordinary and stuff.
