Foxleaf paused near the border and waited for her patrol to catch up. She nodded to Wolfhowl knowing he would probably want to use this as a teaching moment for his apprentice.

Foxleaf led the patrol along the border, pausing occasionally to remark the border. Eventually they reached the BattleClan border and she paused t test the apprentice again.

Foxleaf was instantly even more alert than she had been. Sniffing the air she caught a faint trace of fox waiving over the border. "It's ok," she meowed, "It hasn't been in our territory, though we should keep an eye out for it when patrolling this border for a while just in case."

Ravenstep walked out behind Foxleaf and took a deep breath. He was scenting the air to get a feel on what was going on here.
