"Alright," Snowpaw began, looking unsure. "We need to find a way to prevent ThunderClan from attacking StormClan again."

"That's a no brainer," Minkpaw said, purring. "How do you suppose we should go about that?"

Snowpaw looked down at her paws. Her green eyes looked embarassed. "Well, I'm not quite sure. Your father seems very set on you becoming a member of ThunderClan. But, um...is ThunderClan really going to fight another battle? And maybe there's some way to get LightningClan involved...they don't like StormClan, but they dislike ThunderClan even more. They won't be happy about the idea of ThunderClan taking other Clans' warriors..." Snowpaw paused, deep in thought, her brows cinched together. "Hmm, perhaps-"

Laurelfrost brushed past several ThunderClan cats and interrupted Snowpaw. "I hate to intrude upon your apprentice talk, but how about you do something a little more helpful than-" she scoffed "-sharing tongues and chattering."

"Pompous old badger," Minkpaw muttered, thrashing her tail mutinously.

"What was that? Oh, never mind! However, I want Snowpaw to go check the elders for ticks and Minkpaw-" Laurelfrost paused, searching her head for ideas on what her apprentice could do. "We'll do some battle training. I heard that StormClan had some more kits?"

Minkpaw nodded her head slowly.

"How many are there and what are their names?"

"I will never tell you!"

"It's only for the well being of ThunderClan. Your new Clan."

Minkpaw grumbled. "Only one kit. Its name is Emberkit."

"Oh."

From the flames will rise the embers...

"What was the mother's name?"

"Uh... Flame... Flameflower."

Laurelfrost gave a small gasp. I shall report it to Featherstar shortly.

What have I done? Minkpaw felt incredibly guilty for the lie she had just told. But she couldn't betray StormClan, could she?
