Just as the title says. This shall be a chain story, so we shall create the adventure together. Please don't quote posts.
Blossombreeze looked down at her new-born kits. She had named two of them already- the first one a black she-kit with a white tipped tail. She had been named Nightkit. The second was white with silver patches showing on her pelt. She had been named Willowkit. She still however had two more kits that lay next to her, suckling milk hungrily. Suddenly, a white tabby tom raced into the nursery.
"Blossombreeze, come quick!" he mewed.
"My kits are feeding!"
"ThunderClan has broken into camp. The cats are invading every part of it, and they won't hesitate to kill you- especially with you being so weak after your recent kitting."
"Whitestar-" That's when the she-cat realized the severity of the matter. "What do I do?" she demanded.

"For now, stay inside the nursery with your kits. Go into the corner of the nursery with the other queens and kits. Stay close together and protect the kits if you must fight. I'll send warriors and elders, if they want to help, to guard the nursery. Now, wake up Pineshade and Shrewear." With a quick nod, Blossombreeze followed the leader's orders. Quickly waking up a pregnant Pineshade as well as Shrewear and her kits, the queen acted as fast as she could. Like Whitestar said, warriors and a few of the elders were guarding the nursery, protecting it while the queens huddled together with the youngest members of the Clan. Outside, the fighting began between Blossombreeze's Clan and ThunderClan. Oh my daughters and son, I hate that your first hours into this world has to be filled with chaos, the queen thought solemnly. As she wrapped her tail around her three daughters, one of which was unnamed, and her single son who also had no name, ThunderClan warriors were trying to get to the nursery.

She counted the frightened beats of her heart as she stared at the nursery entrance in anticipation. One, two, three, four, five... ten, twelve, fourteen, sixteen, eighteen- and then the first warrior rushed in, eyes wild with adrenaline and bloodlust. Blossombreeze hissed at him. I'll never let you get my kits, she vowed mentally. She braced herself to fight, but Shrewear beat her to the punch. The black queen launched herself at the attacker, yowling something indecipherable. Her two kits, dark as their mother and just barely awake, mewled in confusion. Pineshade brought them close to her body, murmuring gentle words.
The two fighting cats were a dust storm of brown and black, hissing and screeching like nothing Blossombreeze had ever heard before. "StarClan save her," she whispered- Shrewear's strength had always been hunting, and she was still tired and weak from the strain of being a new mother. If the stars had any mercy, no other ThunderClan warriors would be able to get in- Blossombreeze could hardly walk, and Pineshade was awkward and sluggish, less than a moon away from giving birth.

Despite her efforts, Shrewear wasn't as strong as she normally was. Despite having her own kits a moon ago, being a new mother was straining her.The ThunderClan warrior pinned her and clamped his jaws around her throat. She gasped for air, before she stopped moving. the ThunderClan she-cat got close as another warrior joined them. Before either of them could do anything, warriors of her own Clan stormed the nursery. Both she-cat and tom were driven out by the larger group of warriors.
"Is Shrewear okay?" Whitestar asked with desperation in his eyes. Taking a glance at her friend, Blossombreeze saw her breathing.
"Whitestar, she's alive! She looks like she's faintly breathing! We need to get Larchtalon right now!" Without waiting for her leader, Blossombreeze left her kits beside Pineshade as she got the medicine cat.
"Larchtalon, Shrewear was attacked! We need help right now," the pale silver tabby explained. The cream she-cat, who was currently working on other warriors, nodded. Leaving her apprentice to help them, Larchtalon and Blossombreeze rushed through the battle, trying to get to the fallen queen. With the herbs they were carrying, Larchtalon had to work fast, otherwise, Shrewear would be dead.

☂ Blossombreeze stood by Shrewear as Larchtalon began to press cobwebs against the queen's neck. "It'll be fine," she whispered to the wheezing queen. "I promise, if anything happens, Dusk-kit and Boulderkit will live... I swear by my heart." She glanced up at Larchtalon, worry flooding her chest as she noticed the medicine cat's dark gaze. "Is Shrewear... alright?"
The cream cat simply let out a grunt. "I honestly don't know," she muttered. "That bite punctured her throat, but she's still able to get enough air in. She needs these holes patched." Grabbing the queen's scruff with her yellowing teeth, she mumbled, "C'mon, help me pick her up. We need to take her to my den, so I can properly get the herbs into the wound."
Blossombreeze quickly obeyed, lifting up the she-cat's hindquarters as best as she could. The two began a quick walk towards Larchtalon's den - a dark hole in the side of a rock, leading inside to a larger cave. Blossombreeze did her best to follow Larchtalon's quick step, but found it hard, as she kept tripping over Shrewear's tail. Finally, stopping a moment, she was able to pick her tail up off the ground.
She suddenly felt a ripping, searing pain in her tail, and turned to see a ThunderClan warrior biting into her tail, a dark look hidden in his blue eyes. She hissed at him, pulling away, but he did not let go. He raised a paw, ready to strike at the queen... when he was bowled over by a black-and-white blur. Flurrytail! She felt a deep wave of thankfulness towards the warrior. He hissed at the blue-eyed warrior, then began to tumble with him, swiping and biting. Finally, the enemy let out a squeal and ran into the bush border. Blossombreeze nodded at the tom, showing her gratitude, and he nodded back. You may not wish to be my mate anymore... she thought as the two carried the wheezing Shrewear to the cave entrance. but I will still always love you and your kits.

Shrewear was placed into a nest near other injured warriors. Larchtalon collected more herbs for the injured queen as Blossombreeze took a daring glance outside. Whitestar gazed at the medince den, obviously worried for his mate. After a moment, the tom leapt back into battle. It was clear to Blossombreeze that he would do it for Shrewear and their ktis. Hopefully on that night, Dusk-kit and Bloulderkit will still have a mother. As the battle progressed, Flurrytail stuck his head into the medicne cat 's den. "Are you all okay?" He asked. "Yes, we are," Larchtalon replied in a hurry. With a quick nod, the black and white tom leapt away and headed back into battle. You are a tom your kits are proud of, the queen thought for a moment. In her moment of distraction, Blossombreeze didn't notice what was going on. "Larchtalon, Minkpaw's stopped breathing!" Larchtalon's apprentice exclaimed. Worry entered the cream she-cat's hazel eyes. "Okay. Uh, Blossombreeze, please help Robinpaw with Shrewear." With a quick nod, the silver queen helped out the younger tom. As they worked with the weakened queen, Blossombreeze heard Robinpaw whisper, 'It's all my fault,' repeating it often. As the she-cat sighed, she noticed Shrewear's breath getting weaker. The she-cat's eyes fluttered feebly as she tried to keep them open. "Larchtalon, there's something wrong with Shrewear," Blossombreeze breathed. (Sorry if this is too long. Once I started writing I seriously couldn't stop )

The tom turned quickly. "Redpaw, Sorrelpaw," Larchtalon called to the two apprentices.
They were fighting- and beating - a black tom. As Redpaw held him down, Sorrelpaw bit into his neck, making sure not to go so deep as he would die. Quickly, the two she-cats hurried into the medicine den.
"What do you need?" Redpaw asked.
"Sorrelpaw, work with Robinpaw on trying to help Minkpaw, and Redpaw, I want you to help Blossombreeze and I with Shrewear-" Just as the medicine cat finished his sentence, more cats came into his den. Cloudflame, Blacksky, Suntail... There were now too many warriors to count. And that's when he realized that StormClan was now losing the battle against ThunderClan. Oh, if only LightningClan didn't think of us as traitors!

Larchtalon glanced nervously at Blossombreeze. ThunderClan warriors were now in her den where injured cats were being healed. Some were in more critical condition than others. Minkpaw, who's breathing was back but now shallow, was clearly struggling to stay alive. Meanwhile, Shrewear's condition was questionable though it was clear she wasn't doing too well.
"What do you want?" The cream medicine cat snarled with her hazel eyes burning in anger.
"You know exactly what we want, Larchtalon. In fact, everyone one of you StormClan scum do. We'll stop the battle if you give us what you want," Cloudflame, the ThunderClan deputy, replied.
"Never! We will not give you the herb or the apprentices you want," the medicine cat defied.
"Larchtalon, I'd like to stop this fighting as much as you do. If you had given us the catmint we needed as well as Robinpaw and Minkpaw at the gathering, none of this would be happening. It's not too late you know. I can still convince Feathertstar to stop the battle, especially if he knows his daughter is dying. I know you're smart, Larchtalon, but you're running out of time. Please, answer now," the ginger and white she-cat stated. The StormClan medicine cat simply gazed at Cloudflame. What choices did she have? She wasn't the leader, but it was obvious she was the only one who could make the decision. As she pondered the choices, Larchtalon heard a cry coming from Blossombreeze.
"We're too late...Shrewear's dead," the silver queen whispered. The cream medicine cat hung her head. The leader's mate was now dead and her kits were motherless. Could it get any worse?
"Robinpaw, help Minkpaw, now." As she directed her apprentice, the ThunderClan warrios were still waiting for an answer.

"I will allow you to take me!" Robinpaw cried suddenly, whipping her head around. "It's not worth the demise of my Clan."
Minkpaw, using some of the little energy that she had left, raised her head. "Take me as well. My father, Featherstar, will care for me and make sure that I live a good life." She dropped her head again. "I'll miss StormClan."
Whitestar came in suddenly, hissing and snarling when he saw Cloudflame.
"What do you want?" Whitestar snarled, not realizing that he was quoting his medicine cat.
"I've explained it all to Larchtalon and guess what? The apprentices are coming with us. Now, all there is left is the catmint issue. Robinpaw?" The ThunderClan medicine called. "As our new medicine cat apprentice, I believe it is your duty to take what our Clan needs back."
Whitestar kept silent.
Reluctantly dipping her head, Robinpaw went towards the herb storage moving some juniper berries out of the way, revealing the catmint. She took half, holding it in her jaws.
"Goodbye, Robinpaw," Larchtalon mewed. "I'll really miss you."
Whitestar's gaze moved towards his fallen mate. "No!" he yowled, distracted from everything going on around him. He ran towards her, nuzzling her cold fur. "Oh, Shrewear... I will make sure that Boulderkit and Duskkit live good lives."

"I volunteer to raise them with my kits," Blossombreeze meowed. "They don't deserve to grow up without a mother."
"Thank you," Whitestar meowed. "They're in the nursery. Go get them when you're ready."
Cloudflame's mouth formed a sly smile and the she-cat flicked her tail, ordering for the cats around her to leave with her. "Featherstar!" she yowled. "I've gotten what we want. We can now retreat."
Featherstar turned from the she-cat that he was battling, allowing her to run off. "Even my daughter?"
"Yes. Minkpaw, Robinpaw, and half of StormClan's supply of catmint. However, I must tell you that Minkpaw is almost dead."
"What?" Featherstar demanded, now beginning to race towards the medicine den. Memories flashed in his mind of his mate, Willowfeather. She had belonged to StormClan and died giving birth to Minkpaw- Minkkit, at the time. He had given her up because that's what Willowfeather would have wanted, however now he felt that he needed her back. "Save her," he snarled towards Larchtalon.
"I do not take orders from you!" The she-cat snarled back.
"Try, Larchtalon," Whitestar ordered. "Any more death could cause for very bad things."
Larchtalon nodded, turning her attention towards Minkpaw. "Sorrelpaw, Redpaw, go back to battle. We can deal witht hings here."
(I'm so sorry if this is way too long!)

With the help of her apprentice, Robinpaw and Larchtalon went to work on Minkpaw. The she-cat's wounds weren't nearly as bad as everyone thought, however, she could still die. Chamomile, comfrey root and dock were all chewed up and placed on the mound. After the pair put cobweb on her neck to stop the bleeding, Minkpaw was ready to go. Though wobbly, she leaned between her brother and Suntail for support. Outside, Featherstar the ThunderClan leader was proudly waiting. As the remaining StormClan cats padded with the apprentices, the StormClan warriors had a look of defeat on their faces. Whitestar near Featherstar as the tom dipped his head to the apprentices.
"Minkpaw, Robinpaw, I'm so happy you can finally join us. Robinpaw, my brave son, you will make the perfect medicine cat for ThunderClan. Minkpaw, I see you have survived tonight's battle. You are very strong and will make the perfect warrior of ThunderClan." While the gray leader proudly watched his kits, Larchtalon hung her head once more. Meanwhile, Whitestar tried with all his strength to keep his mouth shut.
"What?! You can't take them, they're my sister's kits!" A voice growled from behind the group. Warriors turned to see a fuming Reedstripe.
"Whitestar, don't just stand there, do something about it!" The ginger and white tabby tom demanded.
"Reedstripe, there is nothing I can do. I would love it if ThunderClan warriors were actually interlligent and had common sense, but the brutes overpowered us. We're sorry," Whitestar sighed. From behind the ginger warrior, Soprrelpaw and Redpaw, Reedstripe's kits, peeked at the ThunderClan cats.
"They just can't take them, can they?" Sorrelpaw asked, referring to her kin. Her sister nodded in agreement.
"Well, Whitestar, I'm done with your name calling. So I don't kill you here and now, I'll go ahead and let ThunderClan go. ThunderClan, let's leave" the gray tom called.

As they watched them leave, Redpaw and Sorrelpaw began nuzzling Reedstripe's fur, hoping that they could bring some comfort to their father. Their mother, Frostwillow, padded towards them giving her mate some quick licks of affection.
Who will be my apprentice now? Larchtalon thought, the she-cat looking towards the nursery. Boulderkit, Duskkit, Nightkit, Willowkit, one of the unnamed kits... Maybe even one of Pineshade's future kits. Oh, who am I kidding? Almost no cat is interested in herbs! She was surprised when multiple injured and wounded warriors came towards her.
"We were losing quite badly," Whitestar meowed. "I'm sorry that you have to take care of the wounded alone."
Robinpaw padded beside Minkpaw, following their father. The tom cast one last longing glance at his home - well, his former home - sighing. At least Minkpaw survived.

Despite everything, Reedstripe was grateful to have such a wonderful mate and kits. The tom was still saddened. Minkpaw and Robinpaw were all he had left after Willowfeather died. No they were gone too. As the ginger tom sat beside his family, Larchtalon watched before answering her leader.
"Yes, Robinpaw was amazing. I don;t know if anyone could be as well as him. He had so much passion and potential. There's no need to apologize, Whitestar. It wasn't you who selfishly decided to attack a Clan because you wanted their loyal members and herbs. And besides, it's my duty to heal everyone," Larcktalon replied. Turning towards the medicine den, the she-cat sighed, knowing that Shrewear's body laid there.
"Whitestar, I'm sorry I failed you," she began. "I-I tried so hard to help your mate, but her wounds were too severe. You know what, what type of Clan attacks a queen so viciously? How can ThunderClan even live with themselves?" Whitestar didn't reply, he remained still. As leader and medicine cat sat in the clearing, Blossombreeze went back to her kits. When she entered, the nursery was an obvious wreck. The nests were ruined, claw marks were scattered through the ground and there was a bloodstain from Shrewear. The silver queen shivered. In the corner, Pineshade was trying her best to take care of Dusk-kit, Boulderkit, Willowkit, Nightkit as well as her other daughter and son. Grabbing her four, she let them suckle while the other queen took care of Shrewear's kits.
"I still need to name you two, son't I?" She whispered to herself. As she laid on the ground, she could hear a warrior come in. It was Flurrytail.
"How are they?" The black and white tom asked. Blossombreeze gazed at her former mate with a slight smile.
"They're doing well all things considered," the queen replied.
"Have you given them names yet?" The tom asked. The queen shook her head.
"I know we aren't mates anymore, Blossombreeze, however could I name one of them?" The StormClan warrior asked.
"Yes, of course. The black she-cat is named Nightkit and the silver and white one is named Willowkit, after her pelt and, well, Willowfeather. The tom and she-cat have yet to be named." With a small nod, Flurrytail's eyes fell on the brown and white tom.
"I think our son...Er the tom should be called Shrewkit. After Shrewear, it was because of her sacrifice you, Pineshade and the kits lived," Flurrytail stated. Blossombreeze nodded in agreement.
Despite her weakness, Minkpaw was in pace with her brother and the other StormClan warriors. And depsite how tired she was, she was also extremely angry. How dare her "father" attack StormClan because they were strong. How dare he let Cloudflame hold up Larchtalon and let Shrewear die. How dare he he take her and Robinpaw away from everything they have known in order to satisfy his need for power. At least, that's how she saw it. As they neared the ThunderClan camp, Featherstar let Minkpaw rest on him, though she didn't want anything to do with that tom. she hated him.
"You will never be our father," the tortoiseshell she-cat growled. Featherstar just laughed.
"Oh, Minkpaw, I did you a favor saving you from those fools. I'm at least happy to see Reedstyripe raise you right. Willowflower said he was smart and she was right. she always was...," The ThunderClan leader trailed off, turning his attention to the task at paw. After a few more moments, they were finally at the entrance to ThunderClan's camp.

The ThunderClan cats yowled triumphantly as Featherstar marched into the camp, followed by Minkpaw and Robinpaw. Featherstar's tail was high in the air, his expression smug. Minkpaw scowled, assuming a defiant stance as she sat down next to her brother.
Featherstar nimbly leapt upon the Tallrock and flicked his tail. The cats stopped chattering amongst themselves and looked up at him attentively.
"Our demands were answered by the cats of StormClan, of course," he said dismissively. "The battle was quick and won easily enough. We've secured half of StormClan's supply of catmint - Laurelfrost, could you take the catmint to Spidernose? - and best of all, my children are joining ThunderClan!" Featherstar lifted his muzzle proudly. "Minkpaw, Robinpaw, and Spidernose, can you meet me in my den?"
Spidernose, a white she-cat with scattered black markings and yellow eyes, nodded swiftly and took the catmint Laurelfrost had given her into the medicine den. She emerged a moment later, her eyes gleaming.
"The Clan meeting is over," Featherstar announced. He turned, jumped off the Tallrock, and trotted into his den, followed by Spidernose and the reluctant Minkpaw and Robinpaw.

Cypressrunner watched her mate was he entered camp. He had gotten his kits to join, somehow. That made her furious. It was bad enough she had to find out about the two apprentices at a gathering. Now she was forced to be their Clanmate.
"Mother, who are the strange cats?" A small voice asked from behind. The dark brown queen turned in surprise to see her son.
"They're not important, dear. Just go back in the nursery and play ith the other kits," Cypressrunner directed. The small, gray tom nodded as the queen continued to glare at Minkpaw and Robinpaw.

Minkpaw followed Spidernose into Featherstar's den, Robinpaw trailed behind her. She sat down, her tail curling neatly around her paws. Next to her, Robinpaw looked terrified, glancing past Minkpaw to Spidernose nervously.
"Robinpaw," Featherstar began, "I understand you trained as a medicine cat back in StormClan. Here, you will do the same. Spidernose is a brilliant young medicine cat-" Spidernose lifted her snout with pride "-and the ceremony will begin soon. As for you, Minkpaw, I won't spoil who your mentor will be." Featherstar's eyes were twinkling.
Minkpaw's hackles lifted. She hissed softly. How could he be so optimistic, when she was being torn from the Clan she loved and was loyal to? How did he expect her to attack her dear friends in StormClan? She glared at Featherstar balefully, not even attempting to disguise her hostility.
"Now then, I'm sure you'll enjoy living here much more than StormClan," Featherstar said pointedly. Without waiting for an answer, he spun and dashed outside again.
"Time for another Clan meeting!" he yowled. Laurelfrost, his deputy, climbed next to him on the Tallrock, her cold blue eyes gleaming. The Clan gathered below, some looking thrilled, some looking doubtful. One dark brown queen stared at Robinpaw and Minkpaw with open hostility, pulling her kits close to her. "Our two newest members will be becoming ThunderClan apprentices! Robinpaw and Minkpaw, join me on the Tallrock!"
Featherstar looked at Laurelfrost and Spidernose in turn. It was clear to Minkpaw who her mentor would be.

Minkpaw dug her claws into the dirt when Laurelfrost was announced as her mentor. She didn't want to be taught by the ThunderClan deputy, let alone even be in the Clan. Glancing beside her, the injured she-cat could see her brother was calm. However, she knew he was just as angered as she was. Featherstar and all of ThunderClan for that matter had no right to simply take them from their home. Who knows how many were dead? The battle was brutal and if she and Robinpaw hadn't given themselves up, perhaps more warriors than just Shrewear, from what they knew, would be in StarClan. Despite her growing stronger since the battle, Minkpaw collapsed, pretending to still be hurt.
"Oh, ow. I-I'm really hurt. I guess I can't start contributing to this Clan until I get treatment and who knows how long that will take." Despite what she could tell from Featherstar's look, the tom had Spidernose patch her up anyway. With the help of Robinpaw and the ThunderClan medicine cat, the she-cat was brought into the medicine den. After a quick job, Minkpaw was lying in a comfrotable nest of moss.
"Well, that should do the trick. And Robinpaw, I'm impressed by your skills! It's good to know that Larchtalon at least had some talent. Or perhaps that's just natural for you. Either way, good job."
"Spidernose, Larchtalon taught me everything I know, she's the one with the natural talent," the ginger tom stated passive aggressively. Ignoring his new apprentice's comment, Spidernose began sorting herbs. Robinpaw settled beside his tortoiseshell sister as dawn approached.

"I see that you're trying to act like deputy, are you?" Cloudflame challenged, coming up behind the ginger tabby she-cat known as Laurelfrost.
"Cats are already referring to me as deputy, I'll have you know. And as far as Minkpaw and Robinpaw know, that's exactly what I am. It won't be long until Featherstar decides to drop you from your position and give it to me."
The two she-cats hostility was shown clearly, but Cloudflame backed off.
"Why did you ever think that bringing those two mouse-brains back would ever be a good idea?" Cypressrunner demanded, forcing Featherstar to stare at her bright green gaze.
"They're my kits. I suspected that you would be happy for me. After all, we're mates. I thought you loved me?"
"Of course I do! But you have Graykit! Why would you ever need another kit? Nevertheless two!"
"Cypressrunner-"
"Mom, where are Blacksky and Suntail?" Graykit asked, poking his small gray furred head out of its hiding place in his father's den.
Panic flooded the queen as she realized that her kit spoke the truth.
"Did they come back with you?" she asked, directing her question at her mate. Both my brother and sister couldn't have died, could they? No!

Whitestar and Larchtalon gazed at each other for a moment and te tom sighed. "Larchtalon, you didn't fail me. It wasn't your fault Shrewear died. It was the fault of Featherstar and ThunderClan. In fact, if we were strong enough, I would call an attack upon him. If only LightningClan would help us, then maybe we could do something about it. Until then, we must heal the wounded and hold vigil for those who are...Lost to us." Whitestar hung his head in sadness as Larchtalon padded back to the medicine den. How many had died in this battle? Shreewear sacrificed herself for the sake of her kits and the queens. Redleaf, an elder and her former mentor, was one of the elders guarding the nursery. He was now gone too. Wasppaw, an apprentice, Leafdawn, Rosespots, Leopardclaw and Mousestep, who were all warriors, were also dead now. How could ThunderClan be so selfish? Everyone knew you didn't have to kill a warrior. And to make matters worse, where was StarClan? Did they approve of ThunderClan's attack and the death of so many? Larchtalon didn't have an answer. In the nursery, Blossombreeze and Flurrytail sat in silence. They had four three of their kits named, Nightkit, Willowkit and Shrewkit, now there was their only unnamed daughter. Despite her needing a name, the two just sat in the silence. "Why has StarClan let them do this?" Blossombreeze suddenly asked with a whimper. Despite his surprise at the question, Flurrytail shook his head. "I don't know, Blossombreeze. I don't know." (Don't sorry, I forgot that I was the one who made Cloudflame deputy. So, you're fine )

(We've all made mistakes. Deputies have gotten confused, both Larchtalon and Robinpaw changed gender, probably other things as well. But who cares? It's all in fun!)
"Will our kits be okay?" she asked.
"Our?" Flurrytail repeated.
"Oh, I'm sorry. My. My kits. Do you think they'll survive?" Blossombreeze shook her head and sighed. "I wish that things didn't end how they did. Because honestly, Flurrytail, I loved - and still do - love you."
"You know that my heart now belongs to Silvergaze," he mewed.
"B-but... I thought Ambergaze had your-"
"Ambergaze is dead now," Flurrytail mewed. "As is Leafkit. Silvergaze was the only one who was willing to make me happy. Don't you understand that?"
Blossombreeze nodded slowly. "I'm sorry," she mewed, as she pulled Nightkit, Willowkit, Shrewkit, and her unnamed kit closer towards her.

"You know?" Blossombreeze mewed aloud after a while. "I'm going to name the last kit Amberkit, after your previous mate."
"No! No, don't do that."
"Why not?" Blossombreeze gave her pelt a quick lick. "She was- afterall -a noble warrior. She died giving birth to your kit!"
"But that kit died shortly after, didn't it?!"
"I'm naming the last kit 'Amberkit' and that's final!"
"Fine."
It hurt the tom to think of his fallen mate, however he knew that he had to keep strong. Because even if he was no longer the father to these kits, he was still expected to not weep every time he heard his own 'daughter's' name.

Blossombreeze knew she had been too instance on the name Amberkit. However, every warrior deserved to be remember and even if it did pain her former mate, Ambergaze deserved to be remembered. After a few moments of settling together, Flurrytail left the silver she-cat with her kits. After padding out from the nursery, the tom spotted many bodies lying motionless in the clearing of StormClan camp. Shrewear, Redleaf, Wasppaw, Leafdawn, Rosespots, Leopardclaw and Mousestep were all dead. And perhaps, there'd be more to come. With Leaf-Bare on it's way, there'd be greencough outbreaks, starvation and the cold. StormClan was incredibly weak and there was little they could do about it.
"Are you alright?" A purr asked, catching him off guard. Turning to behind him, Flurrytail was greeted by his current mate, Silvergaze.
"Oh, hello, Silvergaze. I see you're okay at least," the black and white warrior mumbled.
"Same with you. Though you haven't answered my question, are you alright?"
"Yes, I'm fine...Well, no I'm not. StormClan attacked us because Featherstar wanted herbs and his kits. Then we've lost so many warriors and are currently weak. To make matters worse Leaf-Bare is coming so who knows how many will survive. And to insult to injury, Blossombreeze still loves me. You, me and Blossombreeze all know that the only reason why I agreed to be her mate was to produce more kits for the Clan," the warrior grumbled.
"Oh, stop that Flurrytail. Don't lie to yourself or me. Blossombreeze was there for you after the deaths of Ambergaze and Leafkit. She was a great friend and you two kind of just became mates. You realized you never really loved her, but even I know that you always had a soft spot for her. Look Flurrytail, I understand that you and her had something long ago and it doesn't make me jealous. I love you and I know you love me. Nothing will change that. However, promise me you'll be there for them, okay?"
"Okay, I will," the black and white tom promised.
"Good. Now, what did Blossombreeze end up naming her kits?"
"Nightkit after her pelt. Willowkit after her pelt and Willowfeather. Shrewkit after Shrewear and Amberkit after Ambergaze..." The tom trailed off once more.
"All good name. Listen, you need to stop beating yourself up about Ambergaze. What happened wasn't your fault and I know they're in StarClan watching happily down on you. You're a great tom, Flurrytail. after all, if you weren't we shouldn't be mates," Silvergaze added lightly.

"This is what I love about you, Silvergaze," the tom mewed. Leaving Blossombreeze was not a mistake.
"Minkpaw, shall we go hunting? I presume you know how to do that..." Laurelfrost meowed, poking her head into the nursery.
"I'm sick, Laurelfrost! There's nothing of use that I could possibly do. Come back in a moon or two."
"Featherstar chose you as my apprentice, and I intend to train you like one!"
"Well... I don't want you to! I hate you and ThunderClan! You came in and began murdering for no reason except to get what you want? How selfish! I belong to StormClan. And... And that's where Hawkpaw was..." Minkpaw stopped talking, her eyes now wide. She had never told anyone of her admiration for Hawkpaw, however she knew that the tom was in love with Petalwing. She was all that he talked about, and they had trained together for moons. Petalpaw and Hawkpaw were inseparable, and Minkpaw- then known as Minkkit - had begun to grow jealous. It was no surprise to her when Hawkpaw had whispered that he and Petalwing would become mates once he was a warrior, and the jealousy had only increased from there.

"Listen, Minkpaw, forget about your old friend like this Hawkpaw. They are now your enemies, not friends. StormClan is nothing but a Clan full of weak cats that shouldn't waste our time thinking about them. They are full of fools who are too soft-hearted. Now, instead of hunting, we should go on boarder patrol. I'm sure Featherstar wouldn't like it if I got his daughter killed."
"Border patrol? Excuse me but I was just in a battle between StormClan and ThunderClan and frankly, I'm extremely tired. And besides, how would my, er, father feel if I told him you were calling me stupid and weak? For, I am half StormClan and it is the Clan that raised me," Minkpaw replied, trying to get the upper paw.
"Fine, whatever. we're going on border patrol and that's final. I'll give you a few minutes to get ready." Laurelfrost padded out of the medicine den, leaving Minkpaw alone.
"And look at that, soon enough I'm going to be deputy here, Cloudflame," the gray she-cat laughed.
"Really? Featherstar's smart enough to know you'd make a terrible leader, Laurelfrost. Quit pretending that you're going to replace me as deputy. Also, you need to stop being so hard on Minkpaw, do you think's she's gone through enough? She found out she's half-Clan at a gathering and when Featherstar attacked the camp for her and her brother, you can bet she probably feels like she brought that on the Clan. Cut her some slack." Instead of the words getting to the ThunderClan warrior like Cloudflame hopped, the she-cat simply laughed it off.
"And this is why I was chosen to mentor Minkpaw. Cloudflame, after you became a mother, you became so soft and weak, almost as bad as a StormClan cat. Trust me, Cloudflame. By the time Minkpaw becomes a warrior, I will be deputy and soon after, the greatest leader that ThunderClan has ever known."
"Take that back, you don't refer to my kits as 'making me weak'. Laurelfrost, you will never take my place as deputy, I promise you that," the ginger and white deputy vowed.
"That's what you think. Now, where are your kits now?"
"Ratpaw and Snowpaw? They're here with their mentors. Why?"
"I was just hoping they'd be open for boarder patrol, thanks Cloudflame." As the current deputy sat beside the medicine den, Laurelfrost gathered Cloudflame's toms and their mentors for patrol. They had to wait a while for Minkpaw.
"Sorry to keep you and your waiting, Birdheart and Sandfur. Clearly my apprentice is taking a little longer than I thought." After a few more minutes, Minkpaw finally padded out of the den.
"Sorry to keep you all waiting. I had to make sure that Robinpaw said it was okay for me to go, then i wanted to check with Spidernose who had to redo my bandage. I hope you understand," Minkpaw stated. The other warriors nodded though Laurelfrost could see right past her act. The tortoiseshell apprentice followed the patrol as they headed out of camp.

As soon as they left the camp, Minkpaw's nose was filled with the scent of warm, fresh prey. Despite herself, she felt excited. ThunderClan territory had more trees than that of StormClan's. She could tell their territory, with the trees scarcely a tail-length apart, was prey-rich, even in the late leaf-fall.
She tripped on the root of a tree and landed with a thud. A thorn embedded itself into her paw. The thick forestation was a disadvantage to her, who had grown up with the trees at least two fox-lengths apart. It would take some getting used to.
Birdheart looked down at Minkpaw, concerned. Minkpaw licked her tortoiseshell and white paw indifferently, her amber eyes betraying embarrassment. Her paw stung. Minkpaw grasped the thorn in her teeth and yanked it out, as Robinpaw had taught her. She winced. Blood gushed from the wound for a moment, then trickled to a stop. Minkpaw's paw ached dully, but she could walk. She pointedly ignored Birdheart and chose to walk behind Sandfur and Snowpaw instead.
Laurelfrost gave her a sly smirk. Minkpaw glowered for a moment, then scented squirrel. Glad for an excuse, she crept away from the patrol.

She could now see the squirrel. It was stuffing its cheeks with some sort of nut, its small paws occupied with yet another for storage. She crouched, using everything that her former mentor- Squirrelpool - had taught her. Finally, she leaped, going for the kill. Unfortunately, the squirrel was too fast for her, moving away at once. Her paws landed with a thud, alerting all of the near-by prey.
"Nice going, mouse-brain," Ratpaw mewed teasingly. Minkpaw could tell that he meant no harm, although his sister came to her aid quickly.
"Don't mind him," she mewed. "You're just not used to ThunderClan yet, that's all." In a quieter voice, she added: "You don't belong here. You belong in StormClan. And I promise, that eventually, I will help you escape."

Minkpaw stared at the tom wide-eyed. An apprentice from StormClan actually was going to help her? The tortoiseshell apprentice's hopeful look quickly turned into a glare.
"Don't you dare play with my emotions like that, Snowpaw. You know how I've been feeling about my home. I swear, if you do that again, I'll be sure to claw your ears off," Minkpaw threatened.
"I-I mean it, Minkpaw. Ratpaw and I both do," the white tom replied.
"Yeah, he's right," Ratpaw chimed in. Minkpaw gazed at both brothers.
"And how do you suppose we go about it? If the Clan finds out Robinpaw and I went back to StoemClan, they'd attack them again. And, well, I personally don't want to be responsible for more deaths..." the former StormClan tortoiseshell trailed off. Ratpaw shrugged while Snowpaw placed a paw o her side.
"Hey, don't give up. We'll find a way," Snowpaw replied with a purr. The twelve moon old toms gave the younger she-cat a quick nod before padding off. Minkpaw smiled grateful before joining the boarder patrol once more. When she got back, Laurelfrost wasn't pleased.
"Minkpaw, I thought you said you didn't want to go hunting, I turn around and suddenly you're off into the unknown ThunderClan territory. But, never mind. Let's just finish this border patrol and head back to camp." After checking the borders, the ones between StormClan and ThunderClan to add salt to the wound for Minkpaw, the small patrol padded back to camp. Ratpaw and Snowpaw joiend their sister, Cloudflame and their father while Minkpaw went into the medicine den, watching them. With a sigh she thought, If only Robinpaw and I could be like that back at StormClan.

Suddenly, out of the blue, Snowpaw stepped away from her family members. The she-cat's pure white pelt was groomed neatly, and it nearly glowed in the sunlight.
"I thought we'd start planning early," she mewed. "I'll tell Ratpaw soon enough. Um... Completely off topic, but did you have any siblings other than Robinpaw?"
Minkpaw shook her head.
"Oh. Well, my brother and I once had another brother- Stormkit. Apparently, he was as gray as the fullest storm cloud, giving him his name. Anyway, he died before we opened our eyes. He opened his first, and he was able to see the world before StarClan took him."
"Oh... I'm sorry."
"No, it's nothing to be sorry for. Cloudflame still blames herself, but honestly-as our mother- I think she did a great job."
Minkpaw smiled. "I think so too. Now to begin work on this genius plan of yours."
