{A fanfic on the game "Animal Jam", which has talking animals that wear clothes x3)
(Yes, this part is short and super lame, but it's one of the first stories I've ever made x3)

"Gilbert! Peck, where's Gilbert??"
A panda was helping an injured wolf and tiger away from danger, a raging battlefield not even half a mile away.
"I- I don't know, he- LISA, BEHIND YOU!"
The panda turned to see a mass of darkness crawling across the field toward them, gray saliva dripping from its misshapen jaws. A tentacle had lashed out to grab Lisa, but thank Mira she was quicker. The panda's eyes lit up with power as she held her palm out to the creature, sending it flying back in a large explosion of energy, just as it got a little too close.
"Peck, Gilbert?"
The bunny recovered from the surprise, saying "I last saw him leave with Greely. They went to the battlefield again to help the Jammers!"
Lisa pinched the bridge of her nose, saying "They need to get to the Temple! We must get the attention of Mira, or even Zios!"
"There's no time, Lisa," Peck said as she help the injured wolf and panda to Cosmo, who was playing medic for the battle "The Phantom King is breaking free of his prison in the Underworld. Honestly, I think we should join them." Lisa glared at Peck, snapping "And prolong the massacre of our Jammers? No, we need someone who can actually handle the prison seal that contains the Phantom King!"
Peck merely shook her head, saying "You do it. You know Mira and Zios have been gone for generations. Some don't even think they're real." Turning away, the pink furred rabbit left the area in a swirl of bright pink leaves. Lisa signed, turning to Cosmo, the rookie Alpha Koala. Walking over, she told him "I'm heading to the Temple. Think you'll need help?"
"I'll be fine, Lisa," Cosmo said with a nod "You go show the others that there's more help."
Lisa hugged Cosmo before turning to teleport to the Temple, which was an old stone building that was covered in moss and other plants. It was... quiet. Usually, there were at least a few other animals there.
She took a step forward, but stopped when she felt a piercing pain in her chest.
"Too easy..." a voice purred in her ear, as she looked down at the dark object spiking from her chest.
'Looks like that visit attempt will have to wait...' Lisa thought as her vision went black.
----
"Where's Graham?" A voice boomed, coming from a large tiger wearing a cape and jewelry, as he fought off the infamous Phantoms "Is he okay?"
"He's fine, Gilbert. That Phantom did a number on him though," a wolf, dressed in a dark purple cape and silver armor, spoke "I think he needs a successor."
"Ha!" Gilbert laughed, then roared. His roar was so powerful, it obliterated a line of those dark beings, them pretty much exploding with loud shrieks. He continued after "That old monkey isn't retiring anytime soon, dearest Greely."
The wolf, Greely, snorted. As a Phantom lunged for him, his mouth opened to let blue fire spill out, the creature lighting up like a holiday tree.
"Greely, look!"
Gilbert pointed with a paw toward the giant already, which was barred with blue pillars of energy, keeping a mass of darkness at bay. However, the ground shook as a deafening roar broke out, causing the pillars to crack. The tiger cursed, saying "He's coming free!"
One pillar fell, and a giant tentacle reached out. Made of some black guck, it snatched up at least ten Jammers, dragging them into the darkness. Greely barked "Come, Gilbert!" He and the tiger ran toward the breaking prison, moving among the fighting Phantoms and their own animals. Their Jammers.
"I hope the other Alphas are okay, especially Lisa," Greely spoke as they ran.
"If we live, you owe me a cup of tea, Greely," Gilbert snorted as a second tentacle reached out, breaking another pillar.
"Your big paws can barely hold a cup."
The two broke into laughter for a moment, then became serious again as the giant monster finally broke free of his prison.
"Finally..." a voice rumbled "It's been ages..."
A gigantic, golden eye opened up on the mass of black monster, glaring down at the two Alphas. The Phantom King growled "Fools... I'll start by destroying you first. Then I take your bodies to Mira and Zios!"
Gilbert looked at Greely, smiling a little as the wolf nuzzled his shoulder before turning both of their gazes back to the monster, their eyes glowing with energy, and anger.
