Since when have the "popular vote" become deputy/leader?
That's pretty rare in warriors. Mapleshade faked a sign and insecure, worrisome Crookedjaw became deputy instead of his more popular, more mature brother Oakheart. Raggedstar felt extremely inadequate about being a warrior let alone deputy, and Cedarstar's choice came out of nowhere. Instead of choosing the more older, experienced warriors who were consistently loyal to their clan, Heatherstar chose the young warrior that ran away from home on a revenge quest. Bluestar had just recently covered up a inter-clan romance right before she became deputy, Firestar had no intention of becoming leader at all, and was only chosen because he was the only one trusted, Firestar would have chosen Brackenfur had StarClan not sent the sign to choose Bramblestar, the popular vote Mudclaw was turned down for the minority vote Onestar-- do I need to go on?
Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying everyone should stop hoping for Ivypool/Rosepetal/Bumblestripe ect, you're all good xD
But I'm also saying that it's been pretty common for the deputy- or at least, the deputy to become leader, is either rather unexpected or surprising.
And in the back of my head, I feel like it will be rather surprising. Though one or two seem the most likely... I'm just really not feeling for anyone right now.
So yeah, it would be good to keep in mind that anything can happen.
