sometimes to this day I think about how I was SOOOO sure that the big twist of AVoS was going to be that the kits were not "what you find in the shadows". It just felt too obvious and like a red herring- I thought it would be Needletail (or paw, since this was just after TAQ released) in the end and it would be like, these two kits have been raised to believe they're the Chosen Ones (tm) and want to be but aren't while Needletail IS but doesn't want it or something. Obviously that's... not what happened at all lol

That Squirrelflight would have teamed up with Skyclan and wage war on Shadowclan only to dip out at last second and remember Tree suddenly exists. Also that Bee, Wasp, and Wafflepaw would have had more to their story but got pushed to the sidelines.

More recent, ASC. I was so sure Frostdawn would end up as the RiverClan leader. Was a bit disappointed she wasn't.

I was certain that Alderheart was going to be SkyClan’s medicine cat! Why else would he be the one to receive dreams about SkyClan? Why not Leafpool or Jayfeather?

I wrote a whole arc that took place after ASC when only River had been out. Needless to say I got a lot of things wrong, like
- Froststar
- Wafflepaw being a medicine cat of RiverClan (and being named Wafflewillow)
- Tigerstar 2 dying in Star

I really thought Wasp would join RiverClan and help Frostpaw incorporate some of the park cats’ traditions. RiverClan could’ve benefited a lot from another willing warrior to help rebuild, especially one who believed in their legacy so whole-heartedly.

I thought pre-Ivypool’s Heart release that Icewing would not end up leader of RiverClan. Like, personally I assumed Froststar but even if not Frost herself, I was certain it wouldn’t be Icewing. “Too obvious” I said, only be completely wrong lol. Also didn’t think Owlnose would ever end up in a leadership position again either but here we are.

I remember thinking Bramblestar’s Storm was going to be a devastating event that was going to knock ThunderClan’s numbers down a little. I was… very, very wrong. I kind of let my imagination run wild in anticipation of that book, and I learned a very valuable lesson that day: never assume anything that’s going to happen in these books, because it’s probably not going to happen.

I thought and hoped that Darktail was actually Blackstar’s son from an affair he had when he was a rogue after Brokenstar’s overthrowing, and I was so so disappointed when it was revealed Onestar was his father. Blackstar being his father would have made infinitely more sense as to why Darktail targeted Shadowclan so badly.

Bramblestar having rabies, Hollyleaf being the 4th cat, and Mothwing becoming Mothstar were a few of mine! I also incorrectly predicted that Mistystar would get dementia like Bluestar did before she died, and also that each of the books for ASC would have each leader dying- River would have Mistystar die, Wind has Harestar die, and so on.
