Welcome to ThymeClan! This is going to be a bit different, as I lack the ability to code and edit files due to my understanding of technology being poor, so I’d rather not mess anything up. (I also lack the ability to create and utilize formats so it'll just be text, unfortunately.) Hence, I can’t change anything with relationship pips within the files, only show them as they are, so murder is an unfortunate possibility. (I have thought of a way around this but it requires the use of the elders switching to mediators really quickly to keep any murders from occurring. In which, I’d inform the elder player and the two conflicting cats to get everyone’s say-so but that would be the extent of mediation from elders, unless they chose to become an elder.) Rules -Follow all Forum Rules. -Only one cat can be claimed per person, if we get a bit too big pretty quickly I’ll open up some other slots. -I’m not a big fan of Literacy rules but two sentences sounds like a good minimum post requirement. -I’m also not a big fan of an Activity rule either but try and write at least one post for any major events you’re in. If there are no posts for a cat that’s still alive around two-three weeks since claiming then I’ll re-open the cat. (My DMs are always open if some emergency has come up, just let me know beforehand.) -No god-modding or power-playing. -Out of character conversation should done with parenthesis. (, ], are acceptable. -As the game is random, you must accept the results even if it something bad as death or minimal as a gender change. -Cats can’t have the same prefix. -Cats that come into the Clan without a changed name will eventually be given one. But I leave that to the user’s digression as to if the entire name is changed or a new suffix is simply added. -I will update the moon twice a week, provided classes or familial events do not get in the way. Expect moon updates on Wednesday and Sunday. Clan Toggles Automatically save every five moons

with Umberdaisy, Shellpaw The day was too nice to waste with camp chores, no matter how much Molepelt wanted to fix the lopsided entrance to the warrior's den. (Somecat had run into it earlier that moon, pulling half the twigs out of the careful weave on the left side. Molepelt thought it might have been Wormmark: the young warrior was quick and Molepelt thought he'd be the type to rush forward if he got his pelt snagged, rather than carefully untangle himself like a respectable warrior would). At least the sun was bright, warm on his fur, and it would be good for Shellpaw to patrol ThymeClan's borders more often. The young tom would need to know what do if-- C R E A K Molepelt's ears followed the sound, his eyes shooting upwards. The silver tom barely had time to form the first syllable of a prayer, the branch a shadow blotting out the sun above. He ducked his head, lifted his shoulders, and allowed the impact to crumple through his legs, forcing him into the ground. Wood hissed as the branches shivered, settling around him. Molepelt was frozen beneath, scared to move in case he made things worse, scared to try moving in case he couldn't. Eventually, though, he had to breathe. He let out the breath he was holding, sticks shivering as the deadfall sagged lower, but he was able to pull in another breath through the weight of the branch on his shoulders. "A little help would be nice," Molepelt mewed. Adrenaline made his vision spotty, but even through that he could see the shadows of Umberdaisy and Shellpaw moving from behind the screen of twigs. He gathered his courage and tried to stand, glad to find all four of his paws able to rally to the effort. Still, he was certainly going to be sore for a few days after this, and probably have a massive bruise. Eventually, with Umberdaisy taking some of the weight off and Shellpaw directing him through the dense thicket, Molepelt managed to wriggle free. "I'm fine, I'm fine," he said to his patrolmate's concerned fussing. "I'm not going to die to a fallen stick."The patrol couldn't go on like this, though, not with Molepelt's limp and a spreading ache that he really should let Midnightwhisper look at. Maybe now he'd have time to fix the warrior's den... |

alone Molepelt typically didn't venture close to the twolegplace outside of scheduled patrols. Not only was it pointlessly dangerous (with twolegs, dogs, and rogues mucking about there, sometimes the chaos spilled over into ThymeClan's territory), but there was hardly anything interesting to see. A few kittypets? Perhaps a shiny leaf or two that blew over the tall fences into the treeline?
But when he found his paws taking him down the familiar path to the border on his morning stroll, he decided to indulge his curiosity, just this once.
The line of fences was blindingly white, shiny and slick, unnatural. He probably could have scaled it, if he needed to, but Molepelt much preferred climbing a nearby oak, the rough wood familiar under his claws as he pulled himself to a sturdy branch, high enough to see over the fences and into the twolegplace proper.
How any cat could exist in that maze of brick and pavement was a mystery to him. Dark rivers flowed between patches of green, with twoleg dens huddled inside. Unlike cats, Twolegs were solitary creatures, and so each one kept their own little territory, marked by fences and asphalt. Or maybe each family had a territory, like mini-Clans. Molepelt never really understood that one, but he didn't expect to understand anything twolegs did.
His attention was drawn by a sudden movement in one of the nearby gardens. The flap on the twoleg den opened, and a dog shot out onto the grass. Molepelt, secure in his perch, watched it run in circles, trapped by the fence. Another thing he would never understand about twolegs: why they kept dogs. Though he had to admit, watching the dull canine bounce around its garden was wildly entertaining.
Then he saw the cat. He been too distracted by the dog's energy to notice the slow-moving cat slip out of the den behind it. It was a kittypet, certainly, as they didn't seem to mind that they were sharing the garden with a dog. Even as Molepelt watched, the dog raced up to the cat, who didn't even try to fight or flee. The cat simply flopped into the grass, stretching, letting the dog leap over them and continue its chaotic race through the garden. "Crazy," Molepelt said under his breath. "Stupid or brave, all kittypets are crazy."
Molepelt silently observed the kittypet and dog for the rest of the morning. The dog chased anything that got close to its garden: another dog on the opposite side of the fence (a very loud, but brief encounter), a squirrel, a car, even another kittypet that padded atop the fenceline. The cat mostly lounged in the sunlit grass, ignoring the dog and its distractions. Once, when the sun moved and shaded their sunning spot, the kittypet stood with a stretch and padded the perimeter of its territory, like a small border patrol, before finding a new patch of sun to nap in. Eventually a twoleg emerged from the den and dragged the dog back inside, the kittypet following lazily at their heels.
At that point, Molepelt figured he probably should return to camp for the sun-high patrols. His paws had went numb where he'd crouched on the tree branch, and he took his time shaking feeling back into his limbs before carefully descending. What an interesting morning. |
