[This story takes place in a middle school. Jamie is in the 8th grade. Jamie just got off of Fall Break]
One quarter of school done, still don't feel accomplished.
"Hey Jam!"
Ugh, who is it now, Jamie turned around to face the person who called out that stupid nickname she hated. Wait, that's Bobbi! When other people called her 'Jam' she hated it, but whenever Bobbi called her that, it was... sweet
"Hey! How was your fall break?" Jamie asked with a smile on her face
Bobbi shrugged, "Eh, nothin' much. Oh, but I did go to the park!" Bobbi faked a grin, clearly her break wasn't eventful, "You?"
Why does Bobbi make me feel so happy when I'm around her? "Yeah, nothing here either," Jamie laughed. "Let's go to homeroom now"
The two girls walked over to Mr. Harrison's room, there were already about five of their classmates there.
Mr. Harrison looked up from his laptop, "Morning girls!" He was probably one of the nicest, and most accepting, teachers in the whole school.
"Good morning!" Bobbi and Jamie said in unison, then they laughed about it
I'm glad my homeroom is the same as my first period, and I'm glad Bobbi's schedule is the same as mine for homerooms, first period, and third and seventh period.
The two girls walked over to their desks and awkwardly slid into the uncomfortable chairs. Would Bobbi mind if I leaned on her a bit, I've seen other people do it with their best friends, Jamie wondered. She started leaning on Bobbi just a bit, she didn't want to make her uncomfortable. Please don't get mad Bobbi, this just feels natural for some reason. Bobbi, to Jamie's surprise, leaned on Jamie too.
"Hey, uh, uhm," Bobbi muttered, "I accidentally bought two tickets to the school's basketball game for tonight."
Jamie turned to face Bobbi, even though leaning on her felt so natural, "Oh, that sucks"
Bobbi started to fidget with her hoodie strings, "What I mean is, do you maybe want to go with me? If your mom's okay with it of course"
Why am I so exited about this? I hate basketball? "Yeah, I'd love to go, I'll text my mom right now!" Jamie got out her phone, but hid it in her backpack, she texted her mom about the game.
"Awesome, cool, amazing" Bobbi sounded embarrassed. But why? And why does she sound so nervous Jamie leaned on Bobbi again, and Bobbi right back leaned on her.
Mr. Harrison walked into the classroom, "Okay everyone, today we're doing the math assignment on your laptops! Be quiet, unless talking about the math. And yes you may work together."
The class seemed to speed by, Bobbi and Jamie worked on the assignment together and when they were done, they started to play Minecraft together.

Second period dragged along, Jamie couldn't wait until the next period when she would get to hang out with Bobbi again. [Editor's note, I'm probably not going to write much of the class period that don't have Jamie and Bobbi together] Finally! Third period! Back with Bobbi! "Jam! Hey, your mom reply yet?" Bobbi snuck up behind her and put her arm on Jamie's shoulder briefly. Oh no, I think I know what's happening! I just hope I have the courage for all this"Hey Bobbi! She said I could go!" How do I do this? I want this to go wellBobbi and Jamie walked over to their seats, "That's great!" Is Bobbi blushing?[Another editor's note. We're skipping to the basketball game, nothing happens until then, plus writing all this boring stuff is boring]Bobbi met Jamie outside the gym once the game opened, they found their seats and they were near the corner of the gym, at the top of the bleachers Do I have money for concessions? I don't think I do, this could've gone perfectlyBobbi quickly interrupted her thoughts, "Sorry we're so far from the actual court, it's the best I could get" Bobbi sounded like she was lying, she started fidgeting with her hoodie strings again, looking at the wall. Okay, I can still make things go well. Jamie needed this to go well, she didn't want to be rejected again. Slowly, Jamie slid her hand closer and closer to Bobbi's hand, until- Oh my gosh! Yes, she didn't say anything or do anything! Jamie slid her hand closer again until her hand was right next to Bobbi's, almost on top of. Bobbie nervously laughed, "Y'know, if you wanted to hold my hand you could've just asked," Bobbie still kept her gaze away from Jamie. Bobbie put her hand on top of Jamie's and scooted a bit closer to her. Yes, this can go perfectly now! Jamie scooted closer to Bobbie too. "Uhm, yea. So y'know it's really cold in here," Bobbi muttered nervously, scooting even close to Jamie. [That's the end guys! Please give tips for the story, I think it's going a bit fast, but I just want to get to the good parts ]
